Baan Klang Vieng

At first, when I checked in, I was a bit shocked because the room didn't look much like the photos. The decor and atmosphere felt a bit old, which made me a little uneasy. However, after a night’s sleep, I felt better. In fact, the room was quite clean, and the staff cleaned it daily. Given the very low price and its location near the old quarter, I found it quite acceptable. I particularly liked the alley behind the hotel, where there was also a place to rent scooters. I really appreciated the elderly lady who ran the scooter rental; she was very kind. The only downside to this place is that the rooms are not soundproof, so I could hear all the conversations of the foreign guests in the next room.

Liked · amazing location (can walk to most places), super clean facilities and room, a/c worked great, our family room was very comfortable, the owner was accommodating to every request. housekeeping did a great job when we asked for it. extra bed for my daughter was only a thin bed on the ground. after the first night it was uncomfortable and cold, so we requested another actual mattress and comforter. they brought it to us promptly. on Christmas day, they gave us a gift of amazing and soft banana bread and a fresh mango. there was complimentary filtered water in the lobby, and sometimes little pastries for us to eat if desired.||Disliked · charged us an additional 3% for using credit card to pay for the hotel stay upon check-in. this was unexpected and after complaining about it, they compensated us by offering us free coffee for each of our family. the a/c in the kitchen did not work (but it was no big deal); it was so humid and a bit cool that our swimsuits never really dried. had to use the laundromat down the street to dry it. our room never got much sun, but it was not the hotel's fault.

only stayed for a few hours before going home, it is good if you want to be close to the gate. big enough for 2 person i think. the road is also super close.

I was struggling a bit whether I should give this place 3 or 4 stars. In the end I decided go for 4 stars. This is a very nice place to stay, with the highest price/quality service you can get. We enjoyed the room we booked very much and this could have easily been a 5 star rating experience for me. Also the people that work here are very kind and helpful. The landlord addressed all our problems we had immediately. The room got meticulously cleaned every time we needed it. The reason for the struggle mentioned in the beginning is the rough start of our stay here. We made 2 separate bookings in Agoda for the same room. 1st booking - 1 day, 2nd booking - 7 days. We booked the same type of room standard though. For the first booking however, we got a lower standard room, which was smaller and not as booked on Agoda. Nevertheless, we got charged for the same price as if we used the higher standard room that we actually booked.

So I couldn't sleep because if the room nr 5 which is on the noisiest street - mentioned mountain view- which is not! It's on the opposite side. Complete waste ...I was awake again at 6 by the noisy of cars and motorbikes! I am not someone who complains a lot but this was the worse room ever even if it's look nice but if you can't sleep than it's not worth staying in. The worse experience ever.how these even reviews are good I don't know...kind of also confused on TripAdvisor reviews as there exist de Klang vieng (which has good reviews...just avoid at all cost!!!

Staying here was exceptional! The rooms are spacious and very clean! Guests can use the kitchen, free coffee. The owners are especially worthy of praise! They try to always make you feel at home. Also, in front of the accommodation, you will find an extremely friendly woman who offers various excursions and activities at the lowest possible prices! If you are looking for a place where you are close to everything and at the same time would be really welcome, look no further.

We came to Chiang Mai with the nightbus, so we were in the city by 6AM. We haven’t booked a hostel yet, so we went around to every hostel in the heart of Chiang Mai, but no one would let us check in early, so that we could get some sleep. We then came by Baan Klang Vieng and called the manager. He was the best, and told us that we surely could get a room at that moment (7AM). We came to the reception at got offered free coffee and breakfast. We got our room immediately, and it was clean and nice and very home-like. The beds are the best! So soft and just like silk on your skin. We got welcomed by the sweetest ladies who communicated very good. After our night there, we woke up early to go on a tour, and the manager had bought fresh , passion fruits, mangoes, apples and even more! They are just the most kind and sweet people we have met! 10/10!!

Located right next to a very busy road, so I couldn't sleep until 1 am cause my window overlooked tge street. Maybe it's less loud with windows tp the other side. Otherwise clean and tey provide free water
