Baan Klang Vieng

We came to Chiang Mai with the nightbus, so we were in the city by 6AM. We haven’t booked a hostel yet, so we went around to every hostel in the heart of Chiang Mai, but no one would let us check in early, so that we could get some sleep. We then came by Baan Klang Vieng and called the manager. He was the best, and told us that we surely could get a room at that moment (7AM). We came to the reception at got offered free coffee and breakfast. We got our room immediately, and it was clean and nice and very home-like. The beds are the best! So soft and just like silk on your skin. We got welcomed by the sweetest ladies who communicated very good. After our night there, we woke up early to go on a tour, and the manager had bought fresh , passion fruits, mangoes, apples and even more! They are just the most kind and sweet people we have met! 10/10!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Baan Klang Vieng with my family, including two kids. What I really like is the warm atmosphere and homely environment. The room is exceptionally clean and free from any unpleasant odors. The location of Baan Klang Vieng is another highlight. Situated in the heart of the Old City, it made exploring the city's attractions and landmarks a breeze. Being within walking distance to ThaPae Gate and the Sunday Walking Street night market added a delightful convenience to our stay. What truly sets Baan Klang Vieng apart is the exceptional friendliness of the owner and the staff. Throughout our stay, they were not only attentive but also genuinely friendly, always ready to assist with any requests. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel like valued guests.

Staying here was exceptional! The rooms are spacious and very clean! Guests can use the kitchen, free coffee. The owners are especially worthy of praise! They try to always make you feel at home. Also, in front of the accommodation, you will find an extremely friendly woman who offers various excursions and activities at the lowest possible prices! If you are looking for a place where you are close to everything and at the same time would be really welcome, look no further.

A cozy family feeling hostel. Perfect location next to all the live music bars, but quiet. The host made us feel at home, with free access to the kitchen and free breakfast he made every day

I made a booking through Agoda for a special offer, yet upon arrival, I was allocated a significantly smaller room by the owner. To my surprise, he insisted on additional payment for the room I had originally reserved. Although I opted not to escalate the matter with Agoda due to the relatively small sum of B375/N, this incident undoubtedly left a negative impression on me. Moreover, the confined space of the room made my stay quite uncomfortable. Adding to my experience, the hotel's lobby area closes around 6 p.m., which further limits the available space for guests. On a positive note, the owner, and staff exhibited a high level of friendliness and helpfulness. Additionally, the location boasts convenience, with all essential amenities situated just a short 2-5 minute walk away. I must also commend the excellent and speedy Wi-Fi connection provided

Very clean, cozy rooms run by a nice couple. Great location, and although on a busy street, I couldn’t hear the traffic noise from the room. They have bigger nicely decorated rooms at the back. Would stay again!

Close to many temples and places to eat. Rooms were clean and staff was great.

Good place to stay on vacation. Clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay, very pleasant to stay. Nice room to stay with family. Kitchen and dining room are available to eat breakfast and comfortable in chit-chat. The location is very close to the old city center Thapae Gate, places of interest are easily reachable by foot. It's easy to find good food and drinking places to chat, and it's near a place to rent vehicles, which makes things easier while staying in Chiang Mai. We really enjoyed our stay in Chiang Mai and can't wait for our next vacation.
