Baan Song Jum : บ้านทรงจำ

This is an amazing place! It feels like a peaceful oasis in the middle of a city. The place is simple, but very clean. It is full of plants and trees. Nui (the host) is a super kind woman. She makes you feel really cozy and welcomed. She also gives some great recommendations about activities in the city. I fell in love with the friendly and peaceful vibe of this place.

It's an amazing place to stay. You will find a beautiful koi fish, Mr Big, 3 ultra-cute dogs, frogs, and squirrels. There is a home feeling, and the sisters are very helpful. Every recommendation that we got was super on point. A big plus the excessive recycling, glass, plastic, and organic for making their own fertiliser. If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet, sustainable, and eco-friendly place to stay this is it!

I had such a wonderful stay at Baan Song Jum. The hosts Nui and Kung are very accommodating and have such a motherly energy which leaves you feeling so well looked after. I hope to visit again one day soon.

The place was really nice and peaceful, but not too far away from the Old Town. Nui and Gung were super thoughtful hosts! And their dogs are really cute! If I come back to Chiang Mai, I’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you, Nui!

If you're looking at these reviews it means you're thinking about booking in here, just do it. It's so warm and special and you won't regret it. The rooms are basic, but clean, with fresh towels and sheets. The beds are firm but we didn't have a bad night's sleep. There was shampoo and shower products in the bathroom. High ceilings in the room meant the sleeping temperature is comfortable, so even if you just have a fan room like ours it's perfect. There were no problems with mosquitos in the room at all. The seating/living area of the communal kitchen/garden is shaded by the house and all of the beautiful plants around the yard, it stays out of the afternoon heat. Breakfast was self serving, Nui left bread and jam/peanut butter out to help ourselves, with a kettle for tea or coffee and fresh fruit every morning. Nui was such a lovely host and made us feel welcome like family. She had good recommendations and has known Chiang Mai all her life. Her sister was incredibly helpful and it felt like visiting relatives. She even arranged for her friend to take us to the bus station for a cheap fee in his taxi. If we return to Chiang Mai there is no need to search for accommodation, we know we will stay here again.

I could not recommend this place enough, if you are wanting to stay somewhere that is a bit more quiet and chilled, this is the place. The moment you walk in you are treated with care and respect by the hosts who are absolutely lovely. They will bring you into their home and will make you feel like their family straight away. The facilities are spot on just what you need, the rooms are spacious and homily. One thing I liked most about this place is the feeling of safety, you know you are in good hands with hosts who will go the extra mile to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. In addition, the property is secured by a big gate that has a padlock on it at all times.|They will only give their guests access to this key so it really provides a feeling of safety and security something that not all accommodations can provide. The hosts will also help you plan any trips and will give their advice on anything around Chiang Mai which was immensely helpful for me. Breakfast and drinking water is provided and they will make sure you don't have a empty stomach in the morning. Couldn't recommend any more, book this place and you will not regret it. (They also have cute dogs).

Great people, kind and helpful with many tips about Chiang Mai and the area. Sufficiently close to the city center, restraunts and interest close by. Simple breakfast (good fruit,coffee, bread and jam) simple rooms (shower takes a little adapting🙃). Most important -good energy. We would gladly come back.

A fantastic little Homestay in a quiet location but not out the way. The hosts Nui and her sister were the epitome of kindness, helping us out when my partner twisted her knee. Their dogs were great too. Amazing value for money, we wish that we could’ve stayed longer, thank you for your generosity!
