Baanlek Home Stay

Baanlek Home Stay was wonderful, friendly, warm, and nice with helpful and kind owners. Khun Lek and Khun Yin were so sweet and attentive. It’s quiet in a 2 floor, Thai old wood style building. The rooms are tidied every day with water bottles given per person per day. There was no water kettle in the room but I think you can use the kitchen on the ground floor (though we didn’t take advantage of it). It was such a lovely stay and we would definitely stay again. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Bannlek Home Stay is an incredible place to stay! From the moment I arrived, the owners made me feel like family with their warm and genuine hospitality. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, creating a homey atmosphere. The location is peaceful yet convenient for exploring, and every detail is thoughtfully arranged. The service was outstanding—friendly, generous, and attentive. The owners went out of their way to help with local tips and ensure I had everything I needed. This is true Thai hospitality at its best. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, Mr. Lek and wife warm welcome made us feel like we were visiting family. The homestay exuded a cozy and homey atmosphere, with comfortable accommodations and thoughtful touches that added to the overall charm. Mr. Lek and his wife went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, offering valuable local insights, recommendations, and ensuring we felt at ease.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone that is travelling through Chiang Mai. Lek and his partner go out of their way to make you feel welcome and I have never seen such attention to guests' needs before. Every morning a different breakfast is prepared for you depending on your tastes, either Thai or western dishes. I can highly recommend the Thai dishes. ||The accommodation itself is very tidy and a great example of a traditional Thai house. This in itself was part of the reason I wanted to stay, just to have the experience. The airconditioning is effective and you have everything you need. I can imagine some people may be underwhelmed if they are used to 5 star accommodation so I don’t want to give the impression that it is. The linen is lovely and toiletries replaced daily. ||The courtyard where breakfast is served is a relaxing haven in a well packed and busy city. ||I can't recommend this accommodation highly enough. The management and the truly personal service they provide is the best I’ve seen. ||I will return here whenever I am in Chiang Mai again. It has been the best hotel experience of my life, without doubt.

My wife and I stayed here in early June and we absolutely loved this place!||This is a homestay with about 12 rooms. The family that runs this makes this a 5 star place in my book! Upon arrival they treated us like thier own family. They gave us tips on where to go for certain activities including night markets, laundry, bars, and massages. When we would return after a long day the husband would often greet us with a beer and we would talk about our day.||They offer free transport to and from the airport which is very close. They also offer breakfast every morning which is amazing! They change the breakfast every day for you and will ask you what time you would like to eat in the morning. ||The rooms are what you would expect for a homestay and are very clean and tidy. This area seems very safe and my wife and I never worried about walking home late. In fact the location is very nice as you are only about a 5 minute walk from the old city.||This is by far my favorite place I've stayed in Thailand. I've never received the friendship and kindness that these people offer to thier guests anywhere else. When I return to Thailand my wife and I will be staying here again.

Stayed here for five nights with my sister. We absolutely loved it. The couple that owns it is so sweet and helpful. The room was very clean and had good air conditioning. We really liked the location - was quiet and cute but nearby most things. Every morning the owner made us a really nice breakfast and tea. We are vegetarian and celiac and she was super accommodating in making us delicious gluten free vegetarian food. We brought her gluten free soy sauce to use and she was able to be very careful and make us safe gluten free food. Definitely would stay here again!

The hotel is a small private owned "homestay", some 10-12 rooms only. The location is great, close to the airport, close to the Chiang Mai Gate to the old city and close to the Saterday night market. Unfortunately it is also very close to the small street that is used as a short cut for noisy cars and motorcycles night time. The rooms are dark but good even if the beds are rather hard. The breakfast is simple but OK. ||Best is the owner couple who do their absolutely best to make you feel good.

Beautiful building located on a peaceful street not far from Wualai Saturday night market. If you have a car, you can park on the street in front of this building. Walkable distance to the old city of Chiang Mai and many major temples. Forgot to take the room photo but it was comfortable and clean with everything you need. The price is very good as well. The owners and their cat are very friendly and helpful :)
