บ้านน้อยนอนม่วน Baannoi Nornmuan Homestay and Workshop Chiang Mai

I have stayed here twice now. Five months the first time and three months the second time and I can honestly say I absolutely LOVE my time at Baannoi Nornmuan The caretakers phee pa and phee ton are so kind, loving, and helpful I see them as my Thai aunt and uncle. The room was always clean and had everything I needed. I love that the place was tucked away in a very safe local neighborhood because the neighbors, local temple, and walks to the bakery made the experience more memorable. It’s only a 15-20 minute walk from the cottage to the city. I will be returning to Thailand again and I pray they have vacancies so I can stay here again!!!

The floor was just painted, the whole room had a pungent smell, the room was extremely terrible, broken door and window,a lot of mosquitoes and ants in the room, the wifi didn't work, I had to use the mobile network all the time, The staff are very unfriendly, can't speak English and still keep talking to you even they know you don’t understand what they are saying, they made the very loud renovation noises all day long, that really makes me very angry. there were very few stores nearby, if you want to go to the nearest 711 or the city center, you need a motorcycle or car instead of walking, the price of the hotel is twice that of other similar hotels nearby,I’m very curious why it has a 4.6 rating because I will never live in here again

Was here for the bamboo fan weaving workshop! Everyone was so patient and kind, great simple beautiful place to wind down and get our hands on some DIY :)

A dear friend of mine recommended this peaceful and inspiring guesthouse only 150 bth in a tuktuk from the town center. I stayed over 2 weeks , but I could easily have stayed longer.I loved the simple and minimal decor , with private terraces and I will definitely make this my home every time I am in Chiang Mai for an extended stay. it feels like a secret hide away just 10 minutes away from the crowded town center. The couple that run the place are always helpful. Even though they don't speak much English , they will go out of there way to make your stay a pleasant one..Mostly I was happy to be left to my own devices , but luckily my friend was staying next door so we would often drive into town together. if you don't mind driving on a scooter in Thai traffic,that might be the easiest way to get around, since there is not a lot do within walking distance from the guest house. But if you want to be a little out side of the city, this place is lovely.

If you want to be away from the noisy centre of town this is the place to stay. We were there around new year so it was a great choice as there were a lot of parties. The rooms are really spacious, the bathrooms too. It was cleaned daily. Breakfast was included with a choice of local (rice soup with organic rice) or eggs. ||The owners do not speak english but it was not an issue and we managed to communicate just fine. If you do not mind walking to town (about 20 min) or have a bicycle or scooter it is a great place to stay. Compared to the other prices and availability in Chiang Mai at the time we were really glad we booked there.

Great place to stay when you arrive ChiangMai. There will be a warm welcome which is waiting for you. Northern style breakfast will be served you with a big portion. Room with spacious area for relax, clean floor. Don’t forget to bring bath bomb here, room has bathtub even if you pay less than 1,000 THB per night for 2 persons.

We stay at Baannoi Normuan for a bit more than 5 months in the smaller "home" : 44 sq meters. There are 2 sizes of room/home. ||We stay so long and whish it could be longer because this place is like home. ||The guesthouse by itself is a beautiful place, there is a real sensibility for decoration, details of Thaï culture used in a different way. It's so creative and simple at the same time. ||The room is bright and the comfort is great for western people (I love the bathtub !!!). Here, we can enjoy cooking as there is a space outside of the room with a sink and space to cook, so you can go to many markets around and enjoy your dinner outside on your wooden terrace.||We really appreciate to get our own space, that means there is a real privacy between each room/home. It's surrounded by a so beautiful nature too. ||The neigborhood is quite interesting too because it's outside of the old city but not far at all ( 10 minutes by motorbike), close the train station. This is a quiet and relaxing place ! ||Finally, it's impossible to write about this place without talking about the people who own it. The owner and his family are so nice people, always smiling and helpful. ||Living at Baannoi Normuan makes our time in Chiang Mai so good. ||A day, we will come back, stay there and say hi to all the family and the lovely lady at the closest grocery.

Brand New artistic Guest house. We were very well taken care of. We stayed for 3 months, and loved it! The staff are amazing, very helpful and nice. If you have your own transportation/scooter it's perfect as you can drive to the center of town and markets in 5 minutes. Feels nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city center. Across the road from golf course also. Bed is really comfy! If your staying long term not the best storage. Thats our only complaint. Looking forward to going back next year!
