Great place to stay when you arrive ChiangMai. There will be a warm welcome which is waiting for you. Northern style breakfast will be served you with a big portion. Room with spacious area for relax, clean floor. Don’t forget to bring bath bomb here, room has bathtub even if you pay less than 1,000 THB per night for 2 persons.

A dear friend of mine recommended this peaceful and inspiring guesthouse only 150 bth in a tuktuk from the town center. I stayed over 2 weeks , but I could easily have stayed longer.I loved the simple and minimal decor , with private terraces and I will definitely make this my home every time I am in Chiang Mai for an extended stay. it feels like a secret hide away just 10 minutes away from the crowded town center. The couple that run the place are always helpful. Even though they don't speak much English , they will go out of there way to make your stay a pleasant one..Mostly I was happy to be left to my own devices , but luckily my friend was staying next door so we would often drive into town together. if you don't mind driving on a scooter in Thai traffic,that might be the easiest way to get around, since there is not a lot do within walking distance from the guest house. But if you want to be a little out side of the city, this place is lovely.

If you want to be away from the noisy centre of town this is the place to stay. We were there around new year so it was a great choice as there were a lot of parties. The rooms are really spacious, the bathrooms too. It was cleaned daily. Breakfast was included with a choice of local (rice soup with organic rice) or eggs. ||The owners do not speak english but it was not an issue and we managed to communicate just fine. If you do not mind walking to town (about 20 min) or have a bicycle or scooter it is a great place to stay. Compared to the other prices and availability in Chiang Mai at the time we were really glad we booked there.

It is a quiet place to relax. The staff are friendly. The only disadvantage is that the guests will have a lot of capacity. need peace Even if it's in front of your room if it interferes with her sleep, you have to turn it off, or even you have to travel very early in the morning. You need to use your voice as little as possible. Especially if you bring a car with you. May have to push the car to start the engine far All in all, everything is fine. except for the guests

We stay at Baannoi Normuan for a bit more than 5 months in the smaller "home" : 44 sq meters. There are 2 sizes of room/home. ||We stay so long and whish it could be longer because this place is like home. ||The guesthouse by itself is a beautiful place, there is a real sensibility for decoration, details of Thaï culture used in a different way. It's so creative and simple at the same time. ||The room is bright and the comfort is great for western people (I love the bathtub !!!). Here, we can enjoy cooking as there is a space outside of the room with a sink and space to cook, so you can go to many markets around and enjoy your dinner outside on your wooden terrace.||We really appreciate to get our own space, that means there is a real privacy between each room/home. It's surrounded by a so beautiful nature too. ||The neigborhood is quite interesting too because it's outside of the old city but not far at all ( 10 minutes by motorbike), close the train station. This is a quiet and relaxing place ! ||Finally, it's impossible to write about this place without talking about the people who own it. The owner and his family are so nice people, always smiling and helpful. ||Living at Baannoi Normuan makes our time in Chiang Mai so good. ||A day, we will come back, stay there and say hi to all the family and the lovely lady at the closest grocery.

Brand New artistic Guest house. We were very well taken care of. We stayed for 3 months, and loved it! The staff are amazing, very helpful and nice. If you have your own transportation/scooter it's perfect as you can drive to the center of town and markets in 5 minutes. Feels nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city center. Across the road from golf course also. Bed is really comfy! If your staying long term not the best storage. Thats our only complaint. Looking forward to going back next year!

I toured 2 of their rooms with a staffer who couldn't speak a lick of English on a Thursday morning around checkout time. All of the rooms are elevated so you're going to be up and down to the 'garden.' It's actually a muddy area with paving stone walkways and a lot of shade. Mosquitoes should be thick here as they have convenient basins of water to breed them. The living rooms didn't have A.C. and the veranda was very primitive, rough cabin style. It felt like living in decor a few decades ago. I would give it 1 star hotel class quality. It seems overpriced at $25 USD a night. 10-15 seem more worth what you get. The neighborhood is really quiet and feels suburban and much removed from the bustle of the city. It's about a 10 minute walk though to lots of shops.

The guesthouse was located near the Iron Bridge with tranquil environment but easy access to Chiangmai Night Bazaar. ||Design & decoration were simply unique while offered much comfort.||The staff were very cheerful and willing to help out. ||Overall, this was a great pick for my stay in Chiangmai, and I won't hesitate to do it again in the future.
