Baantawan Guesthouse in Pai is a fantastic place to stay! The cozy rooms are clean, comfortable, and have a great homely feel. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with any questions or requests. The location is perfect—quiet, peaceful, and close to the heart of Pai, making it easy to explore the town. I had a relaxing and memorable stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pai!

Noisy, especially room B07! Next to the car park. Owners are up early shouting, the car park is noisy and to cap it all next door is a school with loud hailers full blast at first light. A shame as the room and location is good.

Prohibition for Respiratory Patients The bedding, including sheets, blankets, and pillowcases, seems like it hasn't been changed in ages. There is a moldy smell, and the blankets are stiff with stains. I was too scared to touch the curtains, fearing that mold spores would spread everywhere. Insects Everywhere There are a lot of ants, mosquitoes, and bugs. The wooden structure has many gaps, and the room management is poor. Breakfast The breakfast consists of fried eggs, bananas, toast, chicken porridge, coffee, and orange juice. It’s the same every day. However, they do refill items frequently. Towels Clean towels were provided on the first day, but none were given after that. I had to ask for them. When I received them, they were yellowed and worn out. Noise from Young Westerners I had to endure loud noises until 3 or 4 AM due to young Westerners partying. I couldn't sleep at all as they were loud and rowdy all night long with alcohol and marijuana. Even though it was at the end of the night market, I could still hear karaoke until dawn. Conclusion I feel deceived by the photos... It was just a struggle throughout my stay. 사진에 속았다....

The spacious rooms in this quiet guesthouse overlook an attractive garden are very comfortable and the WiFi works too. The bathroom is huge by Thai standards but, like the breakfast area, needs some uplift (hole in ceiling and floor nats, signs of active termites.) Steps are steep so the elderly or wheelchair users might have problems.|The guesthouse has a beautiful terrace giving on to the river and parking is easy as well.

Room is sub standard, worse than hostels. |Unable to lock or secure the door once inside. |No safe available. |Bathroom is basic, at best.|Air con, fridge, fan and surrounding area are all extremely noisy and room has zero soundproofing. |Pillows are like bricks.|Breakfast stated to start at 7, an hour later nothing available!

We have just checked out after extending our stay, and I had to leave a review as I really loved this place. The location is perfect, close by to the main walking streets but far enough away to not hear people in the evening. The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere, very relaxing and surrounded by nature with the river just across from our balcony. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast offered was delicious. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Pai that wants a relaxing, peaceful stay close by to all Pai has to offer.

The worst dump ever!! The place is so old and run down. Broken steps to room. Floor wood rotten. Bed springs collapsed and pillows are rock hard. |The who complex is sadly lacking maintenance, staff unhelpful |In general an extremely poor customer experience
