I booked a room with two twin beds but selected only one guest during the reservation process, as there is breakfast or any additional services. I’ve always considered the number of beds a reasonable indicator of occupancy—a practice widely accepted by many hotels. However, this hotel exploited that detail and charged me an additional fee upon arrival, claiming I should have booked for two guests. The frustrating part is that the room rate would have been exactly the same even if I had selected two guests instead of one, which makes the added charge completely unjustified. Instead of showing flexibility or understanding, they insisted on applying the fee, even though no extra services were provided. Some hotels genuinely try to support their guests, while others look for any excuse to add hidden fees. Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience I won’t repeat. Additional note for Arab and Muslim travelers: this hotel does not have a bidet sprayer (shattaf) in the bathroom.

Very disappointing stay. The food was mediocre — the eggs tasted like they'd been sitting out forever. Loud music from the bar kept playing until 4 a.m., I couldn’t sleep at all. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

This is a good hotel five minutes walk from the Al Amir Meknes train station and about 30 minutes walk from the medina of Meknes. Also not far from the CTM bus station if required. The room I was given was huge and looked to be recently refurbished. In fact they are refurbishing the whole hotel at present. The only down point was that the TV didn't work. Breakfast was served to you and was the usual continental type. There are plenty of cafes and shops nearby. The staff are exceptionally polite and helpful.

We stayed 10 days, having chosen this hotel based on price and location. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Meknes Al Emir train station - though the walk is gently uphill. It is within easy walking distance of the business center (Ville Nouvelle) of the city. Taxis are plentiful so transportation in town is not a problem.|The hotel has an adequate restaurant, a bar, and a night club. Breakfast is continental and eggs are available and the orange juice is fresh. To avoid noise from the bar and night club, ask for a room on the 5th or 6th floor.|Rooms are spacious and clean; the air conditioning works; there is plenty of hot water. Some reviewers have commented on the smell of smoke from the bar and lobby. It is important to remember that this is not Europe or the US. Smoke-free resaurants and cafes do exist in Meknes, and some hotels have no smoking guest rooms, but these are the exception and not the rule.|The hotel does have free wifi. The signal is excellent in the public areas but sporadic on upper floors.|Travelers with mobility problems may want to book elsewhere. There are 8 steps from street level to the entrance. Although there are guest rooms on the 6th floor, the elevator only goes to the 5th. One factor that some may find disconcerting is the lack of constant lighting in the halls. Light switches are plentiful and convenient, though. This seems to be a common practice in Moroccan budget hotels.|I found the staff at reception and in the restaurant to be friendly and helpful. Most spoke both French and English.|I am quite satisfied with the hotel and will probably book here for my next trip to Meknes.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as travelling to and from Meknes by train and station only few minutes walk away. Actually consider it to be much better option to staying in riads of medina. Generally throughout hotel there is nothing that much to complain about and it is family owned and run. The cleanliness was average, but maintenance like most Moroccan hotels was not a priority. Had reasonable size reception, with lounge and bar. Staff were efficient and hotel well managed. Was staying single standard but given double room which was comfortable but basic.. Reasonable bathroom with good towels, soap and toilet tissue, but yes the tile grouting was best overlooked. Regular supply of hot water, but no sink plug again. Lift in hotel was effective. Stayed HB as rates so reasonable. Dining room fine and breakfast ok, but fairly basic. Limited choice for dinner and not marvellous but couldn't complain for price. Not many guests staying early March, but appeared to be mix of Moroccan people travelling for their company and visitors seeking more budget accommodation.||In summary I would suggest this is not a bad hotel to stay in at their reasonable rates, and there are few hotels in Meknes at the higher end. However, you will be most aware at Bab Mansour that not 4* standards.

I would recommend all travellers to avoid this hotel like a plague. Extremely rude staff at front desk. I stayed here back in 2009 and again in 2017. The standards have dropped very considerably. Not even worth a single star anymore. They were prostitutes/hookers hanging out in the lobby at night. I really cannot stress enough about how rude and unprofessional the people working at this hotel are. Customer service is not a priority for them. Room cleanliness is below par and the bathroom/toilets are just outright dirty. Needless to say, would never stay here ever again!

To be honest, the hotel was a little better than I expected, considering it's a 3 star property in a not very important city in Morocco, and also offering a bargain price, but it was nothing too special either. ||||One of the big disappointments was that there were no non-smoking rooms. And how I hate signs of smoking, even marks from forgotten burning cigarettes on the furniture - and there was lots of them, even though there was almost no smell. ||||Luckily when I complained about the first room, they gave me 5-6 rooms to choose from, and one was looking quite better in that aspect. ||||Apart from these little problems the rooms are spacious, the location is very good - at the edge of the downtown area and about 1.5 km from the Medina (it's even walkable). Cleanliness was OK for a 3-star in Africa, room comfort - as well.

The good things about this hotel are that it's close to train station and not-demanding price. But the hotel looks old from outside and just as old inside. The room was big but decoration and facilities in the room are very basic. And note, wifi doesn't work in the room, and only works in the lobby. And though it's good if you want to stay near train station, it's quite far from medina and all the things you want to do as a tourist.
