My experience at Baba Dool on Elephantine Island was frankly disappointing. We paid €40 for each double room, and honestly, we felt overcharged considering the service provided. Out of the three rooms we booked for our group of six, one was clearly neglected, covered in dust, and missing basic items like soap. The other two had no towels, sheets, or blankets. Even though we checked in at 11 a.m., when we returned at 9 p.m. after spending the day exploring Aswan, the rooms were still not ready. Additionally, one of the bathrooms had the water heater unplugged, making things even more inconvenient.
The value for money is terrible. The only worthwhile aspect is the view of the Nile, but even this was ruined by loud music and partying from a cruise docked nearby, making it difficult to rest. Access to the hotel is also challenging, as noted in other reviews. They did have the courtesy to prepare a takeaway breakfast for us, but honestly, it was very poor. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, as the service doesn’t justify the price at all.
