We had an absolutely delightful and delicious meal. We arrived early and we were able to sit early. The server came quickly, the food came quickly. The quality of the meals were top-notch. I enjoyed the cast-iron duck, and my partner got the chicken breast with crispy skin. Both were cooked very well. Our server, Mia was extremely nice and attentive. From what I can tell, the other servers are just as kind. We came here to celebrate an anniversary and honestly, I would come back tomorrow and get the same thing for dinner and be happy.

Not sure why this place has low ratings — we had a great experience! Service was friendly and fast, the live music created a fun vibe, and staff were quick to clear plates. If you’re coming in the evening, make a reservation to skip the wait. We shared the mac and cheese and ordered the scallops and short rib for our mains...everything was delicious. Cocktails were tasty too and the menu had plenty of great options!

This place is a solid 5 stars. Please disregard all bad reviews. The service food and ambiance here was outstanding. Cute warm cozy place with very attentive service. Food was phenomenal cmon! How could the food be any better. Stayed at the wlyder which i also highly recommend. We dined here 2 nights in a row. Both salads were amazing I especially liked the baby gem salad which was perfectly grilled. The mussels great. Ricotta was delicious although I held back on the marmalade a bit. The bone marrow was okay. Both steaks were perfectly cooked. Particularly liked the special with the fried fingerling potatoes. This place will not disappoint. You have to try it.

I was so dissatisfied with this restaurant. I ordered the sweet potato with chilli. The serving was meager and it was priced very high. I had to indulge in my dates french fries to get to satisfaction. Half the skillet was chips . My boyfriend ordered a hamburger med rate and it was served well done. We sent it back and was returned as medium. At that point we gave up. The place was pricey and certainly didn't deliver any food worth the money!

We had lunch here on Thanksgiving. They were offering a Thanksgiving menu, and the $60 price was great. The staff was friendly, and all the food was fresh and excellent. We enjoyed a pleasant meal in a comfortable atmosphere! I highly recommend this place!!

We were staying on the property and enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant. Drinks were great, we loved the Mac and Cheese, Caesar Salad and burger! Service was great too, and so convenient if you’re staying at the hotel.

We visited when it first opened and were disappointed with the disorganized service and spotty food quality. We decided to give it another go, and the place has really turned around. Our cocktails (old fashioned and spicy watermelon margarita) were very good, and the latter was especially refreshing on the deck. The burger and fries were excellent. Overall, a pleasant evening.

Yelp
This bakery is part of the Wylder hotel resort. We came for breakfast during our stay. They have various pastries, hot breakfast, and drinks. I ordered the butterfly pea matcha latte, which was a summer special. I ordered it hot, but they accidentally made it iced, so I had to ask for a new one. The drink was quite watery and the matcha flavor didn't come through much, so I wouldn't recommend it. To eat, I got egg, cheese, and avocado on a croissant. The croissant was super flaky and all the ingredients were freshly prepared. My husband got the breakfast burrito and said it was tasty as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoors, they have several large picnic benches, as well as two and four seaters on a sunny patio.

Yelp
The food and service were great! The ambiance was really the selling point and it's on the hotel grounds.

Yelp
When it comes to cozy comfort food, this beef stew absolutely delivers. Rich, hearty, and packed with flavor, it's everything a beef stew should be. The beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender, slow-cooked to perfection, and infused with a depth of flavor that only comes from hours of simmering. The vegetables--carrots, potatoes, and celery--are soft but not mushy, retaining just the right amount of bite, and soak up all the flavors of the broth. The broth itself is the star of the show. It's thick, savory, and slightly tangy, with a hint of wine or maybe balsamic that really adds complexity. You get a balance of umami from the beef, earthiness from the veggies, and just a touch of sweetness that rounds out every bite. It's the ultimate comfort food, ideal for a cold night or when you need something that feels like a warm hug. Paired with a slice of crusty bread, this beef stew is pure bliss. It's not too salty, not too heavy--just perfectly balanced, leaving you satisfied without feeling overly stuffed. If you're looking for a dish that feels homemade but has the finesse of a gourmet recipe, this beef stew is it. Highly recommend for anyone craving classic comfort with a refined touch. Only reason I gave it a 4 star was lack of servers. Bartender was overwhelmed with all the drinks and orders which delayed our meal

Yelp
I was surprised by how good the food was based on the reviews. We stayed at the hotel and the food was great for breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, we had it twice getting the bacon potato quiche, ham and cheese croissant, and the SEC roll. They warm up the pastries and all 3 were excellent. For drinks, my wife loved the coffee here and I tried the matcha latte (not very sweet) and the chai latte (a bit too sweet for me). You can get a punch card if you like. For dinner, we got the pork chop and milanese chicken. The pork chop was one of the best ones I had, upstate NY seems to do these better than in NYC somehow. It was tender whereas most pork chops I've had are dry. It worked so well with the brown butter sage and potatoes. It did get a little too rich but it was alright because we had the other dish to compliment it. The chicken came with a lemon green sauce that brightens up the palette and the Broccoli was nicely roasted. The breading was perfectly crispy without making the chicken too dry. We finished off with the chocolate cake. Not very sweet, deep chocolate flavor, moist cake - the only thing was that the cake could be fluffier, a bit too dense for my liking. Came with a sweet whipped cream with berries that worked well. I'd come back here even if I wasn't staying here.

Yelp
Spent the weekend in the hotel here and enjoyed the place. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. The lay out has a great country home feel. The decor and lighting along with the not over crowding was awesome. Def a place worth going.

Yelp
My partner and I visited Babblers on Thanksgiving while we were in Windham. We were lucky to get a table with booking so last minute but I'm so glad we did! The service was great, the staff friendly, and the food delicious. It is a bit brighter than most restaurants so doesn't feel quite as cosy but the atmosphere wasn't affected with the buzz and busyness of thanksgiving. We had the fig and walnut flatbread and tomato bisque to start, roasted Turkey breast and next level surf and turf for main, and apple crumble and pumpkin pie for dessert. Everything was excellent but the highlights for me were the steak which was cooked exactly to my liking and not the slightest bit chewy, and the pumpkin pie which was excellent (although I am Scottish and have never had pumpkin pie before this). We also shared the Fall Away and Irish Pumpkin cocktails which were also excellent! For my first Thanksgiving dinner it was definitely a win! If I lived in the area I'd definitely be back :)

Yelp
Would highly recommend the French dip, Caesar salad and potato soup. Clean, cute vibe, friendly staff. Loving everything here

Yelp
We (party of four) visited Babblers on a recent Sunday for brunch. We've been driving past this place for a bit and were curious to see what this new arrival was about. At brunch, the restaurant was fairly empty, save for a large party that took up the length of the restaurant. We took a while to decide on our meal, as the options seemed a bit spare and not as interesting as I'd hoped. Basically nine options, and I went with the chicken caesar while the others opted for eggs benny and the Wylder club. The chicken caesar was standard, not quite as "anchovy loaded" as it was described and the grilled chicken was seasoned well but quite dry. Honestly, a bit of a disappointment for $24. I had just eaten a very good cobb salad in Cooperstown for a two-thirds of the price the day before so it was hard not to compare. The server got my dining companion's order wrong, so I shared some of my caesar until the mistake was rectified. The others seemed to enjoy their meals, fwiw, so I'd definitely recommend those over the salad. The space is clean and rustic-modern, with Scandi-hygge touches. I can see a definite appeal to the city folks wanting a hipper place to brunch in the Windham area. The adjoining bakery has some very nice looking options, so I'd definitely plan to stop by for some baked goods in the future. I'll pass on the restaurant in the future, however.

Yelp
$5.40 for a large drip coffee, are you out of your freaking mind?!!!! You put gold sprinkles on that? Jesus Christ I got priced out of Brooklyn, I think I'm getting priced out of Catskills now too.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant! Food and service was great! A couple of mishaps with our order (we were a bigger group) but our waitress kindly made everything right! There was a a market going on next door that we went to after.

Yelp
There were only 2 reservation slots left for this day so we went ahead to make the reservation, but the restaurant was almost empty except for 2 other tables. Decor and ambiance was nice. To start, the water smelled weird and also tasted a little musky which was off putting. Drinks came out quickly but I was very disappointed bc the Paloma had no flavor of grapefruit or even sweetness and did not taste like an alcohol at all. The margarita was great. I ordered the steak and Frites medium rare and received medium well which was so so disappointing. Cooking steak the right temperature should be a basic, but 3 temperatures over is just concerning and was an indicator of the rest of the meal. It was dry and the chimichurri also had no flavor at all. The sauces on the side were basically Marina and a sour Mayo which did not go well with the steak. The worse part was the pomodoro. We ordered one with chicken and one without and both were absolutely terrible. The chicken was dry, there were grape tomatoes and not heirloom tomatoes as advertised on the menu, and there was little to no sauce. The pasta had to have been the worse thing. They advertised fusilli pasta and our came some long worm-like pasta. The worst part was that it was UNDERCOOKED. The dough was visibility RAW inside and the person who ate this ended up on the toilet throughout the night and next day. We also ordered the jalapeño appetizer and it was extremely salty. The sauce was good but incredibly gritty and salty. Overall the whole meal was such a disappointment. For this price point, you'd expect the bare minimum to be cooked right. Fries were the only thing actually good

Yelp
Been here a few times because I want to love it, but it's missing the mark on a few things: - lighting - it's too bright during dinner. I like the lamps near the tables, but there are ceiling lamps attached to the beams that make this place feel cold and the food doesn't look as good under this tone of light. Easy fix - turn off the lights on the ceilings during dinner to create a warmer vibe - food just 'ok', and there isn't anything particularly special about the menu. Perhaps it would be good to have a couple of specials on the weekend when it's busy? - babblers bakery - I get the iced tea at least 2 times a week, but it always tastes different and sometimes it's cloudy. Opportunity to standardize recipe. Ill definitely be back because as I said above, I want to love. Hope you don't take offense to this feedback. Thanks!

Yelp
Manager of Babblers is horrendous. We made reservations on 11/30/24 for dinner that evening. The main dining area was not full and we arrived on time. The manager thought that putting myself and my family in the cafeteria section of the restaurant was sufficient. We asked to move to the main dining room and were denied twice. I was seated against the wall in the coffee shop looking down the dark aisle behind the cash registers. We felt as if the manager was being spiteful and for some odd reason enjoyed doing this. We were guests of the hotel and were very disappointed as to how we were treated. We have stayed there many times in the past. Terrible way to treat patrons. The food was cold and inedible too

Yelp
The menu is very limited and I have eaten there a few times. The food is average at best They serve all their wine in the exact same glass -- a white wine glass--really! Why would I order a $90 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon to have it served in a white wine glass? Wines by the glass are not sealed correctly with a wine stopper and not dated so who knows when it was opened. The bartender disappeared one time and I found him in the kitchen "helping out". There is no decaffeinated coffee. I was told six months ago that they were waiting on another coffee grinder. Cappuccinos's served in paper cups. Are we at 7-11? You can't consider yourself and upscale place when you put out an inferior coffee product that is nowhere as good as the local coffee shop in town.(Windham Local) Good pastries though.

Yelp
Had dinner at the main restaurant, very good. Chicken and pulled pork both delicious

Yelp
Sunday brunch was delicious. We had avocado toast with poached eggs and the cheeseburger. Beautiful renovation by Wylder, warm inviting space. Service was friendly, food was a bit slow to come out but was very good when it did arrive. Looking forward to going back again.

Yelp
Great meal tonight!! Short Rib Stroganoff and Bouillabaisse were incredible. Service was solid. Great dessert but they didn't warm the pie. Not a biggie. Afterwords we went to a he lower level with drinks and played pool. Very fun! We're staying here and can't wait to enjoy the pool tomorrow. Definitely check this place out!

Yelp
We ate there last night. Bright comfortable room, big clean bathrooms, easy parking. The food could not have been more delicious. Lots of choices, items labeled gluten free. All plates in our party of four, appetizers and mains went back polished clean. The bread was outstanding. Servers were friendly, cheerful, responsive. A lovely experience and we will be back again and again during ski season.

Yelp
My friend and I went there for brunch and it was delicious. A sausage patty with pieces of shishito (spelling?) on it with some yummy sauce; possibly some cheese on it, served on a really good bun. I'll be going back again. Very nice atmosphere too, and Mia our server was super pleasant.

Joe L.

Yelp
Great coffee and pastries. Didn't think I was a fan of almond croissants until I was convinced to try one here. Really, really tasty. Also visited for lunch and loved the kale & roasted squash salad. Staff is a delight. Looking forward to checking out the main restaurant and bar next time I'm in Windham.

David S.

Yelp
The twice fried french fries are a must, but really everything is good. Also the best place for cocktails in the Catskills. Becomes a great scene on weekends with live music. Worth checking out.

Andrew K.

Yelp
My friends went here a month ago-it was awful. The chicken was as dry as others have commented-for months!! They were very disappointed and felt it was a complete waste of money. I have been there twice for drinks, once had the salmon, which was also rather dry and boring. I thought this was supposed to be a top notch place! Management has to send somebody here to sample the food. It is the worst on the mountain. Not kidding!

Kevin Scott C.

Yelp
Great food, great drinks, great location. We sat at the bar and the barkeeper was attentive and sociable. They had live music which added a great touch. Will definitely return!

Sylvia B.

Yelp
The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Every seat at the bar was occupied. The food on the other hand, was very disappointing. I love anchovies and was thrilled to see The Choviest Ceaser Salad. Though the salad was a tasty Ceasers, it was definitely very, very light on the anchovies. I did not taste anchovies, I did not see anchovies. Then came the beef stew. Wish I had taken a picture. Large chuncks of beef, large pieces of potatoes. 2 slices of bread that soaked up all the juice, leaving a tastless beef stew that needed to be cut up. The beef was tender, but the whole dish was extremely bland. Needless to say I doubt I will be returning for food.

James P.

Yelp
I'm sorry to say the food here was just not good when I went. It has a cute vibe that makes it seem like the food will be tasty farm-to-table fare, and to be fair, the apps were fine. But when the entrees came, everyone at my table was disappointed. We all agreed the stuffed trout itself was pretty good, but it came swimming in an inexplicable pool of oil. The salmon, however, was not good at all. It came resting atop a pile of cold, flavorless grits ALSO swimming in oil, and the fish itself claimed to be "blackened" (coated in spices) but had little flavor. We had to ask for salt and pepper to doctor it up a little. (It's also worth mentioning that I was pretty sick the next day, although it was probably my fault for failing to ask if the flavorless grits contained milk or cream or w/e.) It's possible they just had an off night and/or are still working out the kinks, but I'm going to be hesitant to try this place again, given how expensive it is. It was a huge splurge for my group and the only restaurant we went to that weekend, and now I wish we had just driven the extra 40 minutes to Hudson to eat at lil debs oasis, which is what we were initially going to do.

Sam M.

Yelp
Such a great addition to the town! Food and drinks are amazing and the ambience is great. The "Uva" drink, bolognese and beef stew are all amazing. Didn't get the wings but was eyeing up everyone else's.
