A sweet find amongst the bustling streets of Siem Reap. As a solo traveler, I was a bit worried with a family friendly establishment… Babel exceeded my expectations from their delicious food, lush gardens, refreshing pool, and zen vibes. Kid zones are tastefully placed around the property without it feeling like too much. The owners and staff are friendly, kind, and work diligently to ensure each guest feels at home. They are responsive to feedback and suggestions! I appreciate an establishment that is proactive to the individual needs of their patrons! The best part of Babel besides the cozy rooms and vibe… their work to keeping Plant Earth green. The Babel shop is full of delightful organic locally sourced reusable products that enhance your traveling and daily life living. Even if you do not stay at Babel, it’s worth stopping by to top up your travel size toiletries, cleaning products, and bug repellent in reusable containers!

I recently stayed at Babel Guesthouse and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff always ready to assist. The rooms were comfortable and cozy, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploration. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the pool area – a great spot to unwind and soak up the sun. The ambiance was relaxing, and I enjoyed every moment spent there. Moreover, I was impressed by the delicious food served at the guesthouse. Each meal was a culinary delight, and I looked forward to every bite.Overall, I highly recommend Babel Guesthouse to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay. Thank you to the staff for making my visit truly special. I can't wait to return!

We loved our stay at Babel Guesthouse! We especially liked the staff and the atmosphere at the guest house. It was so lovely to be able to relax by the pool or eat good food in the restaurant between excursions. The food is good and affordable and they even have their own children's menu. Babel Guesthouse is highly concerned with responsible tourism and the environment. They have their own eco-friendly shop where you can buy all kinds of soaps, creams, bamboo straws, children's clothes, cloth nappies, toys and much else that is nice to take home or on your travels. Babel has its own tuktuk drivers who are very handsome and reliable. They drive you where you want at a fixed and reasonable price. They are also very knowledgeable and helpful and we always felt well looked after when we were out on a trip with them. You don't have to spend time discussing price and wondering what things will cost. The guest house also has a tour book with suggestions for various excursions and activities. The guest house has a play kitchen and reading corner in the common area and a playroom for the little ones at the back by the pool. Food and drinks can also be served by the pool. The rooms are spacious and equipped with AC. There are good beds and duvets, which is not a given in a guesthouse! In addition to all this, they also have a separate education fund for their employees, so that those who want it can get an education. We have been here twice before and can't wait to come again!!!

It doesn’t get better than this. This guesthouse is pristine. Spotless. Well kept. Food was fantastic, service was great. I really think this is a perfect oasis if you’ve had a long day at the temples. Pool is great, air conditioning is fresh plus they are eco friendly. Highly recommended.

The BABEL team are living and breathing their values of sustainable, ethical, compassionate hospitality without question💜 I loved their openness, their smiles, their quick response to help with absolutely anything, and the little oasis they have created in a perfectly located nook of Siem Reap, just off the river, and settled within a few steps of the fabulous Wat Bo Road precinct! They will leave you wanting for nothing but to continue their values when you return home 🙏💕 Thank you to you all, I will be seeing you again next year! ☺️💜

The concept of this guesthouse is great! No plastic bottles, free drinking water refill, own eco label, socially engaged. We loved that! The pool is great and the restaurant is good, with reasonable prices (however, changing amounts of food on the same plates from one day to another were a downside). The rooms are nice, but lacking hooks to hang up your mosquito net (lots of mossies when we were there; we asked for a mosquito racket and hunted for hours). This has been suggested to the manager in person later on. The owner and manager were not there during our first few days. This was noticeable as the room service did not function well (it took e. g. an entire day to empty the trash, although we had specifically asked for it). Not all staff acts professionally (wrong bill calculations and change) and service mindedness could be improved (restaurant, room service and reception). All in all: great concept and potential, but needs more staff training and supervision.
