I’ve had monthly manicures and pedicures for over 20 years worldwide and happen to know good work. My old Vienna salon (not one of the hyped ones) charged €95 for flawless gel + medical pedicure. I left as things changed there. Recently, I visited a couple of the trendy “aesthetic” studios in Vienna and the experience was the same everywhere: overpriced and poor quality. Today, at Babetown, I paid €170 (!!) for a gel refill with a simple red polish and a Shellac pedicure (incl. removal) no scalpel, no design, no French— and the results were as you see in the pictures: uneven nails, poorly applied polish, cuticles only cleaned kind of properly after I complained, and feet looking neglected. Most importantly, I explicitly asked to keep my lower parallels parallel for a long oval; instead, the technician started filing the lower parallels narrowly — a very common mistake that can cause stress cracks, side onycholysis by shifting the growth point toward the sinuses and cannot hold a long nail on a short nail base. Not really her fault, because she is just not aware of all that. She knows one way of shaping and that’s it. I was aware what I am going to pay but seriously? For that result? No cream, no massage, not even a comfortable seat for the pedi, just a water basin — these prices were once reserved for high-end spa nail treatments. Nowadays, they are also charging an extra €10 for polish (??) and another €10 for removal of Shellac — nickel-and-diming basic services. My shellac was btw two weeks old CND, they still charged me that extra 10 because it wasn´t done in their studio. Why is that the situation in Vienna? Because you, dear ladies, are willing to pay for these mediocre (if not bad) services for the “aesthetic” vibe, matcha, and Instagram-ready nails. No offence, but anyone who has had great mani+pedi, looking at the results of the happy clients, can only laugh; they don’t care about their cuticles, enhancing the original form and shape of their nails or anything relevant - and many people just have naturally beautiful nails. Its mostly about the design (and the overpriced matcha). Saw that at least twice today during my 3-hours-stay. So, ladies, please, enough with the amazing reviews for mediocre services just because the place is fancy, the people are nice and ur nails look cure. That’s not the point of these services. ps: two stars because everything looked very clean.

I’ve seen the salon advertised by local influencers so I was curious to visit, but I’m use to the Russian manicure and i obviously prefer that type of master to anything else. Having said that I got a certificate for 50€ to spend in this salon, and when I checked their price list you cannot find any service available for less than 50€ so at the end I’ve book the only service available for this price. 1. A luxury place wanna be who doesn’t provide any customer experience at all. If you want to book, you have to send an email, there is no phone number and if you texts in Instagram they asked you send an email. If I had to pay I wouldn’t even proceed with the next step. I like when the business is accessible via phone or what’s app. 2. I arrived and none address me what to do where to go who could take care of me. I felt lost no very customer service in place. I finally got my station and I set the lady did a manicure and because I forgot to add nail polish in my selection on the website they didn’t allow me to have the nails polish done because too much time and they had another client, no flexibility. At the end the result was ok. But the day after my nails are as per picture below, some cuticles were cut too deep so I have few fingers in pain with redness and inflammation. Definitely not worth the hype you see on the social and definitely not a luxury place, with a very unmotivated expensive price for an average manicure.

Although the place is really nice and service is nice too, I had pedicure done for 75 euros with normal lac, not semi permanent. When I got home the paint on the tip of two toe nails was gone. They made space the day after so I could go and get it fixed but I had the same issue again. Although it wasn’t as bad as first day, paint was removed. I understand it is not semi permanent but then you can’t charge 75 EUR for it.

Don't go!! In contrast to the luxury atmosphere, manicures are unexpectedly low quality. I have had 3 manicures so far. Please mind that they are very simplistic and do not include a nailbath, which was surprising to me. My first appointment was a Japanese manicure, which didn't do much for my nails -looked nice-ish for like 2 days and then the same as before- plus it was completely rushed, the filing was uneven, and overall the nails didn't look at all like I had just gotten a manicure done. The second time was a manicure with normal nail polish, and the nailist was much better, but the Nailberry polish quality was unexpectedly bad. The base coat did not even slightly hide the (genetic) lines on my nails which my basic Catrice one always does. The polish itself took forever to dry (I sat there for like 25 mins) and got unsmooth spots on it within 10 minutes after walking out of the salon. There were polish smudges on my cuticles which weren't corrected by the nailist (she actually left before making sure my nails were dry and no handcream in the end). 3rd time: I wanted to give it one last chance and again very disappointing manicure. The filing and polish were both very uneven and I had to actively ask the nailist to correct the polish she smudged on my cuticles. On one of the fingers the surface of the polish was so uneven that I asked her to fix it. She didn't even redo it, just went over it with a clear polish again. She put such thick layers of polish that it looks like there are lunar craters on my nails at the moment (I had the appointment today). The end result looks like my 12 year-old cousin did them. It's also unhygienic because they used a paper file that was not new, and honestly I'm not sure if paper files can be soaked in disinfectant, it looked nasty. Save your 50 euros ladies!! (note: they did apologize refund the money after 4 e-mails).

Quite a disappointing experience. I did both manicure and pedicure with Shellac, the pedicure was great but the manicure was a complete fail - cuticle removal was painful and yet the coating was painted too far away from the cuticle, so the manicure looked a month old despite being a week old. Worst of all, the coating started falling off on day 12, about which I wrote an email enquiring whether there’s any quality guarantee for Shellac - no answer. After some time I booked an appointment to remove the coating, expecting at least some kind of compensation yet received nothing. Eventually, I’ve cancelled all my future appointments with them and won’t be returning.. Shame that only those who start yelling at the counter receive a proper reimbursement as I was initially willing to give them another chance. Overall, for the prices they charge, I strongly believe there must be quality standards in place, so that customer’s experience doesn’t vary so much depending on which master is doing the procedure. Two stars instead of one for a great atmosphere and a great pedicure.

No clue about the nails bit, but I had a nice espresso here served by a very lovely barista!

I had the ‘pure’ manicure at Babetown with Amina and would absolutely recommend her! She was very quick, precise and professional, but also friendly and easy to talk to. The manicure she gave is the best one I have had in years. The Babetown space is clean and beautiful and the staff are helpful, offering you a drink on arrival. I really enjoyed my visit and would come back.

Quite disappointing manicure after reading all other reviews and finally getting an appointment. I have senzitive skin which bleeds easily, but there was no desinfection of the places that bled. The actual manicure took around 15 minutes only (though according to website it should take 30 minutes) and was done without attention to detail. Most of the time was spent waiting for various layers of nail polish to dry. On the sunny side: good location, great ambiance, you get the nail file as a gift, excellent marketing (which should be backed a bit more by the quality).
