The staff were friendly and tried to help as much as they could however the resort needs to be shutdown for complete renovation. The only good thing about this place is the view and fairly clean sheets otherwise everything in the room needs to be replaced or maintained. The wall paint was puffed up and peeling, the refrigerator door was hanging and also not functional, the toilet seat looks disgusting, the drainage doesn't work, the cabinet under the sink is in a bad condition, the chandelier is broken, the ceramic wall pealed from the bathroom was piled right there, most of the rooms don't have hot water. Our room water was shut in the morning and we were told to move to another room to take a shower and use the toilet. What a dysfunctional and poor management who decided to keep the place open and charge. There was junk here and there and the place needs to be fully renovated.

All in all I had a pleasant stay at Babogaya resort, it was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle Addis Ababa. Surrounding Lake Babogaya a breathtaking natural setting and beautiful greenery, colorful birds, and stunning lake views. The atmosphere was peaceful and rejuvenating, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.

Beautiful scenery by the lake, peaceful and relaxing place, restaurant by the lake, nicely designed resort. Some maintenance required in the rooms. Good value for the money. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Nice location, free to come in to the lake. Only problem is they are missing some stuff on the menu. Wonderful boat ride here!! 150 birr per person to go out on the lake, with a guy rowing for you.

The place is nice and low-key. It could just use a little bit more care, especially on very basic things like cleaning. - Left with 20+ flea bites - The shared toilet was not cleaned a single time in 2 days, there wasn’t even toilet paper at some point and don’t you think it was renewed upon request It is not really a lot to ask. No one expects perfectionism, just a little more effort.

I visited this resort in the early evening for a glas of red wine and had a steak sandwich when the dark fell. It was such a joy to sit in the garden with tall, old trees and magnificent flowers from around the world, while taking in the beautiful lakeview. I even saw and smelled the amazing fragance from a flower, I’ve only seen in Hawaii. The staff was kind and professionel and I can’t wait to come back and stay for a weekend.

A very beautiful quite place with an amazing view direct to the lake. The staff are very friendly and the try their best to make you feel comfortable. The down side is it's a bit old and need renovation, otherwise I recommend for a weekend getaway.
