This humble trattoria is warm, friendly and serves excellent food. Traditional Venetian dishes are accompanied by seasonal specialties with local ingredients. Serving staff is attentive and knowledgeable. This would be a 5/5 if the menu prices were more in line with the rustic nature. However, it is Venice. So what isn’t expensive?

We stopped here for lunch, sitting at an outside table - our server could not have been more attentive or helpful with explaining the menu as well as suggesting wine pairings. Our food was served with minimal waiting time and the freshest of sea food accompanied with perfectly cooked pasta followed by a sublime tiramisu. Throughout our server was extremely attentive discreetly checking in with us. Our food and wine were amazing. We would really like to thank the young woman who looked after us and made our meal here so special and a highlight of our trip to Venice. Grazie Mille. 🙏

We had a wonderful meal here around 19:00 on a Sunday evening. The house specials tuna tartare and tagliolini with spider crab meat were both phenomenal. Would definitely come back the next time we are in Venice!

For 3 days before dinner, I went here for drinks and cicchetti. The experienced servers are amazing at their job. On my last night, I also went for dinner, and the food was very good. The server immediately suggested good wine pairing options. This is the epitome of good service. If I were to nitpick, I would say that value for money can be improved. But you know, Venice is really expensive. Give yourself a treat!

We were seated in the back room which was quieter. Great server - she was so delightful. Food was a bit more upscale. Very good. A bit more pricey though. Still glad they seated 6 of us without a reservation. It was close to our lodging.

We went for a nice lunch and we got it. The girl has been super nice and she let us try also the famous cicchetti veneziani that you can only taste at the standing table. The atmosphere is so familiar and the main dishes were really good.

A local guy recommended this place to us to try out Venetian cicchetti (I memorized it as similar to tapas). And it was a great experience! We had several dishes that were available and loved them. Sardines fried and marinated, squid, tuna, salami after cold prosecco made our lunch quite unique. Laura is a true soul of the place, always positive, quick and efficient. The desert cake with espresso was delicious. Highly recommended!

Bacaro e Trattoria da Fiore delivers an outstanding culinary experience. The impeccably sourced seafood starter, followed by a black ink pasta was incomparable finesse, rivals any well-rewarded establishment. Service is attentive and personable, creating a truly memorable dining occasion in this family run restaurant.

Yelp
The other night we ate here at Trattoria Da Fiore (they have a very popular cicchetti bar too). Another exceptional restaurant here in Venice. Our server Elena was great! She was passionate about the food, directed us to a great Venato local wine that suited both our tastes and paired perfectly. She was a delight! The food was superb.

Yelp
Over priced for small portion, the food was average. they also charge a E4per person cover charge. The only good I can say is that the spaghetti were al dente

Yelp
This is a truly local little outlet for cicchetti and spritzes. You'll also find some nice red and white wine options as well. A spritz will cost about four euros while the cicchetti will cost between two to maybe four depending on what you order. The seating is indoor only and split between a couple of smaller rooms. A large group won't fit well in this space unless you eat standing up outside. As of October 2023 this shows as a very expensive option on Yelp, but I didn't think it was anywhere near expensive. Staff is very friendly but speaks limited English.

Yelp
Avoid this place if you don't want to ruin your trip. The server was ridiculously rude at this place. We walked in and asked if there's any table available and she told us to wait outside. She came across us multiple times and kept asking us to 'wait a second'. We've been waiting at the door for 30 minutes until I asked her how long exactly do we need to wait for the next table. She rudely replied that there's no table available for the next 3 hours. I asked her then what was the point keeping us waiting a second and holding us for 30 minutes and not telling about the real wait time. She could told us much more earlier instead of wasting our time. She yelled at us saying that didn't you see I was busy working???!! It's so ridiculous that she had the time to tell us 5+ time to 'wait a second' but was too busy to say a sentence that there's no table available for the next 3 hours.

Yelp
This Venetian place was recommended from a travel book I read. The biggest surprise I had was the price - I just wasn't ready for it. I realize in hindsight that I should have just had cicchetti at their bar next door. The restaurant charges €3 per person and extra for water. I didn't speak a word of Italian, so perhaps some things didn't come out as expected. They served complimentary bread. Restrooms were behind the bar from next door. Address: Calle delle Botteghe 3461. We almost missed it because their small sign is blocked by the green tarp coverings. I wanted to come here because March was the season for MOECHE (local soft-shell crab). I started out with that, which was €7 apiece. Each crab was served with some polenta and tomato. I'm used to dipping soft shell crab in soy sauce, as in Japanese restaurants. There was no sauce served with the crab, but it was fresh and good. CICCHETTI - This is a plate of their appetizers, which included scallop, squid, fried cod, fried calamari, some polenta, etc. All of these were actually available next door. They had a glass case of it. TONNO PINNA GIALLA - Seared yellowfin tuna. This was my favorite dish. It almost got too salty at the end because the salt crystals dissolved everywhere. BACCALA - Codfish three ways. This was a really good way to try some of Venetian food; I shared this with two other people. Take a look at my photos to get a better idea. DESSERT - This is where I was confused. I was expecting another plate of a variety of desserts. I wanted to try zaletti, but we were only offered cheesecake, tiramisu, panna cotta, etc - you know, the typicals. I got to try those three desserts, which came out to €8 each. Tiramisu was best of the three. Service was ok; not much English is spoken here. Lunch wasn't busy, and only a couple servers were around. It seemed like the owner took that time to take care of some paperwork. I didn't have any wine here (Lol). I would love to come back to Italy in my lifetime, but if I had to come back here specifically? No, I'd pass and try another restaurant. However, I could see myself grabbing some quick bites at their bar.

Yelp
Well, this place is not bad. You can definitely find some good dishes here. The prices tend to be too high.

Yelp
Let me just say that this with a big hell yes! Excepted a lot as it was highly recommended and had the Michelin star. Let me tell you, me and my lady were in such nirvana from start to finish. Most had a rezo, we didn't. Sat quite quickly, coats taken and seats drawn. Waiter spoke exquisite English and had our mouths salivating and tongues hanging from the start. After we were seated, we asked for recommendations and waiter had another server bring us out a tray of either freshly caught or live seafood (clams, razor clams, seabass, scallop, lobster and too many other more to name. Our waiter led us through the ordering process and as he left our table I looked at my beautiful company and thought, we're in for a treat, Venize! Let's go, bring it on. Bread and awesome olive oil was presented. Shortly after we had scallop and razor clams (first time having razor clams and wow is all I can say, scallop served on shell and they were so good that I pathetically wiped them down with the bread. Secondi: A handmade pasta tossed in a garlicky crab, and tomato sauce, if it could be called that, so light. We did get a little shell in the pasta, guess we know how fresh it was. Phenomenal! Main: Salt crusted whole sea bass (see picture below) that was engulfed in fine salt from top to bottom. Our head waiter showcased what had come out and proceeded to tap on the salt until only the whole fish remained. Filleted it table side to give her and I a prefect serving, adding the slow roasted olive oil potato to just amplify the dish. Our waiter suggested their olive oil be poured on the fish. We went for it and it went from blissful eating to heaven on a plate! Let me add that the fish wasn't salty, I like seasoned but not salty taste. It was just delicious delicate and left me wanting more. Wine was a super Tuscan and was on point and so much less than you'd spend in states or elsewhere.

Yelp
An excellent and true-to-form Northern Italian dining experience with good service, an amazing selection of food and wine and classical ambiance. The service was polite and very friendly and the food was simply amazing. One of the few 'perfect' dining experiences I have had while traveling. Definitely a new favorite.

Yelp
During our last day in Venice it was raining so we were overjoyed to find what looked like an amazing restaurant for a decent price. Little did we know we were in for quite the surprise! After looking at the delicious menu for 5 mins we came to a conclusion on what we wanted to eat. After the first painful 60 mins we finally got our starters. Another 60 mins we got our mains. Another 60 mins later we got the bill. Let me make clear however that we had to ask for the bill 3 times each 20 mins apart. He food was very good, they had a great cheese plate and a very good Caesar salad but the wait time was crazy! Especially as we got there when it had just opened for lunch and they had very very few guests.

Yelp
The best traditional experience available in Venice! We arrived early in the day, had a glass of Italian wine and enjoyed nearby shops. Everyone else in the place was local. The food was amazing!!

Yelp
We went for lunch which was like an italian tapas, arnchini balls mixed seafood fruiti misto, etc, very acceptable local Chardie, a great little bar to grab a quick lunch. We also went for dinner all the usual suspects but all cooked well and obviously made in house. Again very nice local red by the glass and the best triamsu so far this trip. I had steak, yes silly in Venice but was needing some redmeat and others had lasagne and vege penne, all very happy, the capreses salad was again better than i have had down south.

Yelp
Great food in a city where that can be hard to find. Lovely service and atmosphere too. Filled with Italians, which is a good sign!

Yelp
Was amazing to spend ours last night diner at Fiore, from the appetizer to the desert everything was spectacular, the wine was amazing and the service was great, don't forget to stop there if you are in Venice....location is right down the Academia bridge!!!!!

Yelp
Arrived in Venice starving after driving from Cinque Terre but a tad early for dinner. Our hotelier recommended da Fiore for 'Venetian Tapas'....omg, so amazing! We had a nice, well priced bottle of white with our meatball, fishcake, calamari, eggplant, rice ball and cod tapas. Quaint wee place, highly recommended!!! The restaurant attached looked very good as well and was also highly recommended by our new trusted advisor!

Yelp
Dinner for 3, very good pasta and fish. Prices not in line with the service though. They could do with a better welcoming as well as courtesy, since we had booked a table.

Yelp
This place was recommended and I was looking forward to going out for dinner to a place recommended by locals. Sadly, I didn't have a chance to try the food as we were told to wait 15 minutes for a table and then other parties were seated before us (at least 3 groups came after us didn't have a reservation). We weren't even told to not wait any more! I had to ask what was happening. And we were told that now it is too late and we won't be able to have dinner. That is terrible service, no excuses!

Yelp
A marvelous dining experience while visiting Venice with the family. We are Americans who speak not a word of Italian but we enjoyed a great meal based on helpful recommendations and served with easy grace. We enjoyed sea bass for two, lasagna, and lamb and four fine dessert selections but the friendly staff had all of the intangibles: attentive without being interruptive, knowledgable without being pedantic, friendly but professional, and able to set a tone that framed a very nice experience. Well done. Recommended.

Yelp
We've been walking past this place for several days jealously ogling the 30 something's eating cicchetti at the stand up wine bar. 40 something's with kids need not apply! Who knew there was a dining room next door? Dinner, our last in Venice, was fantastic. An appetiser of razor clams and clams followed by a Venetian specialty of seppiolini (cuttlefish on a bed of polenta with squid ink) sharing the plate with grilled cuttlefish and grilled polenta too. My partner had gnocchi with spider crab sauce. The kids? Spaghetti pomodoro of course. Wow! *****

Yelp
We found this atmospheric and friendly little place on the afternoon of our first day in Venice while we were killing some time waiting until we could check into our room at nearby Bloom B & B. Like a lot of places in Venice Trattoria Da Fiore is a game of two halves. On the right you have the restaurant with the smartly dressed waiting staff, starched white linen and a mainly tourist clientele with prices to match. While on the left you have the charming little bar which has three small tables, a few stools and a crowd of lively locals drinking the excellently priced selection of interesting wines and feasting on the very same food that you get in the restaurant at half the price (to be fair there is a much wider choice of menu in restaurant but you get my point). This became a bit of a pit stop for us during our week in Venice and was good for a lunch time pasta dish, an evening snack or just a glass or two of something interesting to end the day. If you do decide to venture into the bar area don't be put off by the fact that it looks pretty busy most of the crowd are locals who stay only for a quick drink or two so you will soon find yourself somewhere to perch with your plate of cicchetti and glass of wine. The food is tasty and for Venice pretty reasonably priced. On our first day we were famished after the overnight train journey from Paris so the 3 pasta dishes of the day chalked up on the blackboard got our attention before we even noticed the piles of cicchetti behind the glass topped bar. My tagletelle with lobster and cherry tomatoes was perfectly cooked rich yet light and very morish. Possibly even better was B's classic spaghetti with clams and mussels a wonderful herby, garlic and olive oil sauce and very fresh sea food. Both plates were devoured with gusto and at 15EUR this was tasty food which was also good for the wallet. If you just want a snack, or if you fancy a cheap meal, then the cicchetti here offers something a little different, and more substantial, than you will find in most other Venetian bars. Lots of fish and meat dishes as well as potatoes and little salads mean that you can easily put yourself a plate together which will keep you going all day or night. Paulo, the very friendly barman, made us up a fish misto plate which was delicious and at EUR14 it was a great meal for two. This is also a good spot for the wine lover on a budget in addition to the house wines there are some more interesting choices chalked up on blackboards with plenty to choose from at under 5EUR a glass. All in all great value and good vibes we will be back.

Yelp
So far during my visit to Venice, it has been challenging to find a good meal at a reasonable price. My personal opinion is that tourists should avoid any spot with waiters in white jackets! Great spots for atmosphere, people-watching and music, but overpriced and gross food. Gives Italy a bad name! After being frustrated with the lack of food in my belly, I did some searching of the area I'm staying in, and came across the Trattoria. I had walked by several times, but it is on the same street as other restaurants with menus in multiple languages and with photos - another thing to avoid - I've found it's worse in Venice than the other cities I've visited. It had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. Overall, it was a lovely meal - good-side portions, delicious seafood, and a great wine list. It was great to be given numerous options for wine by the glass! I had the clams and mussels, and the lobster and tomato pasta - yum! If I had discovered this spot earlier in my trip, I'm sure I would have some back every night for dinner!

Yelp
We only had a coffee in the morning here. It was great , better then the tourist joint in the corner.
