I loved the name - the Roman god of wine! When I saw the menu, I immediately made a reservation, and it did not disappoint. My husband and I are wine lovers, and we did the 6-course menu with wine pairings. My husband’s not an adventurous eater, but even he loved it! Come hungry!! You will definitely leave happy. We had excellent service from Autumn and Naliah (apologies if I got names wrong). The next time we are in Milwaukee, we will definitely be back!

Google
My boyfriend and I did the Chef’s Tasting menu and it was incredible from start to finish. Every single course was amazing but our favorites were the Guajillo-Glazed Octopus with pork belly and the Hudson Canyon Sea Scallop! We’ve been sleeping on this spot and can’t wait to go back to order a-la carte or do the three course menu! I highly recommend!!

Overall, great food, service, and experience. Highly recommended. We had a rocky start when our group of ten got seated 45 minutes after our reservation time, but the staff recovered with great service. The owner even came out to check in with us. The foie gras, tempura mushrooms, and cheese plate were standout appetizers. The filet, veal medallion, organic chicken and short rib were excellent. Our Italian exchange student daughter loved the Bolognese. The molten lava cake and sorbets were also great. Our waiter Alan made us feel like we were his only table. Thanks, Bacchus!

Google
Starters: potato and leak soup was very bland and needed more dimension and had more plastic in it than I ordered. Ravioli was decent. Main course: organic chicken was moist for sure but not much flavor. The jus also needed more flavor. Short rib was slightly dry and charred it took over the flavor of the dish. Dessert: pretty good.... Service was great. Very on top of our needs. Never felt rushed. Overall when spending a certain amount of money on an experience you should be able to expect all of the components to be there. The current menu is not it.

If you want a delightful food tasting, this is the place to go in Milwaukee. The food always surprises us and the service is great.

Google
We came here the other night for a delayed birthday dinner and it was phenomenal! Every dish and cocktail we had was better than the last. I can personally recommend the chicken and the plum cocktail. If they are available when you go you won't be disappointed. A special shout-out should be given to their vegetarian options and for our server Liz - she was warm and extremely helpful! We will most assuredly be coming back

Google
We were visiting from DC and decided we wanted a fine-dining experience while in Milwaukee. We opted for the 6 course tasting menu with the wine pairings. Everything was outstanding from start to finish, including the service. Highly recommend.

Google
We love to try out Milwaukee restaurants during downtown dining week. We were so excited when Bacchus was a part of it! Unfortunately it was a little bit of a let down for the price of the meal. We had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time before we were seated, and we had to wait another 5 minutes until a server stopped by once we sat down. We finally got our drinks and appetizers. I was very happy with the sunchoke bisque, but the pea risotto was not good. It was disappointing to get such a flavorless dish, it really needed salt and pepper. The main course was the highlight. We liked the steak as well as the salmon a lot. The flourless chocolate cake and the lemon curd desserts were also tasty. Overall, I thought for the price and prestige of this restaurant, everything should have been perfect, and it just didn't quite hit the mark. I did like the atmosphere of the restaurant, but I can't see myself going back.

Yelp
Bacchus is celebrating 20 years in business this year, and I enjoyed their six course signature tasting menu a few weeks ago, as well as their Foie Gras appetizer! The tasting menu included an Amuse Bouche, Apple Salad, Guajillo-glazed Octopus with pork belly, Seared Sea Scallops over fried black rice, Pork Bolognese, a palate-cleansing intermezzo, Australian Wagyu Striploin with potato rosti, and a Kiwi Sorbet over lavender meringue, followed by decadent Petit Fours to send us home beyond satisfied! Service and food was amazing, and the tasting menu was a great value! We didn't need the foie gras app, but my guest never had foie gras, so I felt it was time she did. Bacchus also offers a three course prix fixe dinner option and also brought back their a la carte menu, so go there soon and choose your dining adventure!

Yelp
I came here for a work event with 30+ people, and it was a fantastic experience. Parking wasn't too difficult to find--typical for Milwaukee. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, regularly coming around with hors d'oeuvres on trays and keeping our drinks filled throughout the night. The appetizers were absolutely delicious--the meatballs were my favorite! For dinner, I ordered a steak, and it was cooked to perfection--honestly, the best steak I've ever had. It was incredibly juicy, and the temperature was spot on. I typically go for medium or medium rare, and they nailed it. The dessert was just as impressive--flavorful and the perfect portion size after a filling meal. I also loved the overall atmosphere--it had a great vibe, and I appreciated the convenience of their coat check. Plus, their bourbon selection was excellent--a nice bonus!

Yelp
We had a great experience at Bacchus, starting from the phone call to make the reservation. They were very polite and talked us through the structure of their menu, where to park, etc. We went on a Monday, so it was not too crowded. It's a pretty large space and could definitely accommodate a group. We had a team of two taking care of us. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We opted for the 3 course meal instead of the 5 course. I had the chicken as my main course and my fiance had the duck. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and arrived warm and in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend stopping by, especially for a special occasion like a birthday or an anniversary!

Yelp
Sponsored by my sis, hubby and I were able to enjoy Bacchus in celebration of our wedding anniversary. We had the 3 course meal. Me: duck dumplings, salmon, chocolate truffle Hub: pasta bolognese, scallops, strawberry & sunflower With a bottle of Pinot Noir from OR. Everything was really delicious and decadent. Servers were very attentive. Timing was spot on. And added anniversary touches - card, champagne split, little treat bag - were definitely a bonus. Thank you for a special night! Ps. The table bases are a bit cumbersome, getting in the way of a place to comfortably put down your feet.

Yelp
This restaurant is upscale and a great place to celebrate a special occasion. The staff are attentive and kind. The only issue we had was in having a later reservation, we felt slightly rushed to eat quickly and I felt we didn't get to savor our food as much. They have a fun cocktail menu with some delicious options and fun twists on classic cocktails. We ordered from the three course menu, which I felt was the perfect amount of food. My favorite dishes included the duck dumplings and the cheesecake. Both were creatively made and had amazing flavors. I felt the mains were good but not as memorable. Overall, I liked the restaurant but was hoping for more!

Yelp
I thought that the food was excellent and beautifully crafted, but some of the portions were really small. The atmosphere seemed kind of bland for a place that fancy. It was definitely a place to be seen but I left wanting to go somewhere else.

Yelp
Went with spouse for a date on a Friday evening. Ambiance and decor inside was clean, modern and classy but not pretentious. Seated with space between other parties, which we appreciated. No feeling cramped or too close by. Not loud inside, and we enjoyed that we could talk and hear each other. Service was great. We did a 3 course menu each, so we could try 6 items. Duck dumplings, good but not out of this world. Pork bolognese, pleasantly surprised by big portion first course, we liked this better. Lamb loins, meat was tender and the dish as a whole was so flavorful with the morel sauce. Thoughtful and well composed. Scallops with red curry sauce was a more interesting take, scallop sear was excellent but not overcooked. We both loved the second courses, best of the 3. Sorbets were refreshing and sweet but not overly sweet. Citrus one was a little more tart than we preferred. Chocolate truffle had candied kumquats and toasted meringue to add texture and other flavors. Would recommend and would come again. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Yelp
tl;dr - a place you should go when you need to feel special, have impeccable service or a reason to celebrate! My husband has just gotten a promotion at work, so we decided to splurge for a very amazing experience at Bacchus. It was our first time there and the place was incredibly fancy. We had decided to get dressed up (and were so glad we did) as there was the valet and coat check before we entered in. We had a little bit of imposter syndrome (oh jeeze, should we really be here!?! Apparently my husband said there's a Simpsons episode where Homer walks into a VERY beautiful restaurant and he says "WOW, fancy" and the maître d' walks up to him and goes, "Would you please leave without a fuss, right now?" Hilarious and a little bit how we felt, until we got inside!) An extremely friendly and warm dining experience. We were seated promptly and immediately were greeted by our servers. The pair was SO nice and explained the menu and special very clearly. They also asked if we were celebrating anything and we mentioned his promotion. We both grabbed a cocktail and our amazing dining experience was off to the races. We got freshly cooked bread for the table and and small bite-sized appetizer to start. There is a 3 and 5 course tasting menu here, so there's not ala carte type options which is completely fine, just different than what you may expect if you've never been there before. We did the 3 course and went with: - Duck dumplings (simply incredible, it was one of the big highlights of the meal) - Yellowfin Tuna crudo (amazing flavor combos and so fresh feeling) - Blue ridge rabbit loin (I ventured out of my comfort zone on this one to try something new and it did not disappoint!) - Rack of venison (so incredibly tender and just on another level of how you could venison could prepared) - Cheesecake mousse (the hubby loved) - Chocolate truffle (so incredibly rich and decadent, some light-hearted folks might not be able to finish it, but I SURE DID. Simply fantastic!) At the end along with our selected desserts, they even brought our a super cute "congratulations" treat for Ben. They really went above and beyond to make sure we felt special and that this was an elevated dining experience through and through. This is definitely a place to share a super romantic or important night with someone you care about!

Yelp
An extremely friendly and warm dining experience. Servers were nice and explained the menu clearly. There is a 3 course tasting and a 5 course tasting menu. One recommendation id make is not making any reservations at 8:30 or after. Their kitchen closes at 9 and I called to make sure 8:30 was ok. They did tell me we would have to put in all the food orders by 9 but in general we felt extremely rushed. All the dishes came out super fast and we could tell they were in a hurry. I'm usually very very cognizant about closing times which is why I called ahead to double check. I feel if they are truly trying to close early they should not have offered reservations at that time in the first place. Regarding the food, overall it was tasty, some dishes were incredible and some were okay. The cocktails were phenomenal and would recommend getting those. I'd certainly be intrigued at trying this place again and reassess their food!

Yelp
Why have I waited for 5 years here in MKE to try this? Tonight, I took my father out to dinner. He is nearly 87 and pretty much loves steak. I'm vegetarian. Therefore, finding a place that has quality food for both of us is a chore. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with kindness. The staff was exceptional. Our waitress, Mayah was as thoughtful, intuitive and fantastic as the best customer service goals could envision. But, the big thing, besides the beautiful, elegant space right across from Lake Michigan, was the meal. Bacchus offers several options for a fixed price meal. And, at $70, it is a serious deal. I found the vegetarian options inspired. I had the LACLARE GOAT CHEESE CURDS: blueberry compote, arugula, smoked walnuts, macerated blueberry, vanilla, and Tellicherry peppercorn. For my main course I had the butternut squash risotto. And, for afters, the pear and sunflower. My father went straight for the filet mignon. So, the result was a big thumbs up, 5 stars. Kudos also for actually having a vegetarian menu, being super accommodating to my father in his mobility scooter (holding the doors open, etc.) and lastly, thank you to the valet parking attendant for being so speedy and gracious. Go.

Yelp
The food was unlike any other restaurant I have had, it was delicious and exotic. I did the 6 course option and it was an experience more than just a meal. The wait staff was very attentive and nice. The ambiance was excellent. It was a perfect place to take my wife on a date . It's definitely worth taking your other half to show them a dining experience unlike any other. It was definitely a very eclectic and romantic experience..

Yelp
Still dreaming about this flavorful and wonderful experience at Bacchus last night! One of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee! An unforgettable dining experience every time. I love the calm, bright, and beautiful ambience and the service is always impeccable! I also like that they offer valet service and coat check. The bar has great drinks as well!

Yelp
1st timer here. And I'm glad that I stopped in. I'd see the restaurant from the outside and have always been curious to know and see how it looked from the inside. The service was decent. I know it must've just been because Valentines is right around the corner and the staff must've just been overwhelmed. But that's okay, it's normal. The food was a solid 5 out of 5 for me. I don't remember much of what was on the menu. But I do remember the Pan seared scallops. All of the food that I chose, had a lot of flavor and kick to it. I will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Bacchus will not disappoint. From the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a beautiful, romantic evening. We started in the bar while we waited for our table and the drinks were carefully crafted and truly works of art. Then we proceeded to our table and opted for the 5 course tasting menu (set menu). Everything was phenomenal. We will be returning and will do the 3 course next time (options to pick in each course). See you soon Bacchus

Yelp
Excellent food with good vegetarian options. Brought my entire office staff for Holiday Party and everyone enjoyed it.

Yelp
Came here with my partner for their Valentine's Day prix fix menu, and we were both pleasantly surprised! It was our first time at Bacchus, and after having frequented other Bartolotta restaurants, we just had to knock this one off our list. The prix fix included amuse bouche with three courses for $100pp. The amuse bouche were ok, nothing special or memorable in my opinion. For the first course, my partner and I both got the lobster Mac and cheese and oh lord, it was phenomenal. I'm pretty sure they included a whole lobster tail per dish because I had so many bites of the juicy and sweet lobster along with the delicious macaroni. There was just the right amount of lemon cooked into the fish with crunchy breadcrumbs on the top. It was phenomenal. For the second course, we both got the same thing again, the surf and turf, which was an additional $10. The surf was 2 scallops and the turf was an 8oz filet. Accompaniments included mashed potatoes and broccolini. I ordered my filet medium rare and my partner, medium. When we got the steaks, both of them were medium rare, which was t bad because I believe that a steak is only good when I can still hear it moo. The filet and scallop were absolutely fantastic. I have to say that the filet was probably the best steak I've had in Milwaukee. It was better than what I usually get at Harbor House and the Five o'Clock Steakhouse. I'm definitely coming back here for the steak (and the lobster Mac and cheese). For our last course, the dessert, I got the Mexican chocolate cheesecake and my partner got the carrot cake. The carrot cake was good, but it was a bit too heavy on the spice. The chutney and pistachio crème were fantastic though. I think if there were more walnuts, it'd taste even better. As for the Mexican chocolate cheesecake, it should've been named a mousse instead, as it was nothing close to a cheesecake. It was spiced, which I enjoyed, but the mousse could be a bit looser/less dense to make it easier to eat. Additionally, we got a cappuccino to share, and it was mostly just frothed milk with no hint of espresso :(, it was also way to hot to drink, I ended up burning my mouth a bit lol. Call me an amateur, but the steamed milk was steamed a bit too long. Overall: 4/5 -Amuse Bouche: 2/5 -First course: 5/5 -Second course: 5/5 -Third course: 3/5 -Cappuccino: 2/5 -Value: 3/5 (the prix fix was a bit pricey for 3 courses, it would've been more worth it had it been $75pp as a base, instead of $100pp).

Yelp
Delicious food and great service! We came here to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful experience. We ordered off the 3 course menu and all of the food was so good. To start I got the pasta bolognese. It was a really good portion size for a starter and the noodles and sauce were very flavorful. For my second course I got the sea bass, and this was super tasty as well. The piece of fish I got was pretty big, the skin had a nice crispy texture, and that sauce was so buttery and indulgent! This was my favorite dish of the night. And for dessert I got the carmelized honey crisp apple, which was good, but I wasn't too impressed by it. However, I also got to try bites of the chocolate mousse and orange creme brûlée and both of those were so good! Since we were celebrating a birthday, they also brought out extra treats including a slice of chocolate cake and mini pumpkin pie and cheesecake bites. This was a nice surprise to get these extras and we all got to enjoy some! Overall the food here is amazing and we had a great experience. I'd recommend skipping the caramelized apple dessert, but otherwise all the food was amazing!!

Yelp
Attended a work dinner here and had a lovely experience. We were seated in a private room with a three course menu. The waiters were attentive and friendly. Made a point to ask about any allergies or dietary restrictions. The service was timely. Started with mushroom tartlets which were served warm and delicious bite sized starters! Moved onto the farm salad which was disappointing-dry and bland. For the main course I thoroughly enjoyed my squash risotto, and my colleague raved about her filet. The dessert, molten hazelnut cake, was amazing. Very rich chocolate cake but balanced well with the coconut ice cream. It was a great place to host a meeting/event.

Yelp
Great. Great. Everything was so great! From the hostess escorting my mother to the restroom when asked its location to the server assistant helping decide a mocktail idea (no set menu) so the bartender could concoct educationally--lovely results. Our party of 4 did the smaller individual choice menu. Easy, beyond elevated, and an overall v pleasant experience. Parking available (even crappy location for that, esp 2024, NML ext construction galore). Most ppl were business-y type dinners as many were professionally dressed. Not so surprised to see street casual attire, it is MKE and it was a weekday. Made me feel comfy as I'm forced to wear very loose fitting clothing due to health rn. And who has $ for fashion when you wanna eat like this ;) jk, kinda.

Yelp
My family and I went to Bacchus and had the three course tasting menu (as of right now they do not have an a la cart menu as they used to - it's only the 3 or 5 course menus to choose from and if you choose 5 course, the entire table must participate). I am not much of a drinker, but I had two cocktails tonight because of how delicious they were. I recommend the Door County Sour for anyone who likes a tart, fruity drink that does not taste of liquor. It was just delicious. We brought our own bottle of wine (they have a $35 corking fee). Our waitress told us that if we were to purchase a bottle or half bottle from them, the corking fee would be waived. That was a no brainer for me, so I looked through their wine list and found a lovely Sauternes for a dessert wine ($55 bottle). It was delicious. For my first course I had foie gras which was an extra $8 more than the set menu price for the 3 course meal which was $65. The piece of foie gras was bigger than I was expecting and it was obviously delicious (it is foie gras after all). My companions had the octopus, the beef carpaccio, and the shrimp salad. I think my first course was the best. The beef carpaccio had too much egg yolk which overpowered the very thinly sliced, delicate beef. There were pickled mustard seeds on that dish that were very nice, however. The shrimp salad was underwhelming. The shrimps on the salad were tiny and the salad itself was waaay over dressed. For the second/main course, I had the scallops. My companions had the filet and the short rib. The scallops were good but they did not especially impress me. The short ribs were nice and rich. They were flavorful and tender. I think the best second course was the filet. They had nice sauces accompanying the pieces of meat and the potatoes on the dish were tasty as well. The third course was dessert. I had the butterscotch pudding and a couple of my companions tried the "deconstructed" German chocolate cake. The German chocolate dessert was a let down. The description doesn't adequately prepare you for the deconstructed form/presentation that the dessert comes in. It was not anything special. On the other hand, the butterscotch pudding was absolutely to die for. The pudding was quite large as well, and I still finished it all. I was so delighted with that dessert. As far as extras go, they did give us an amuse-bouche (one bite, chefs complimentary hors d'œuvre). We had a potato leek soup with some fish roe. It was fine but nothing special. After our meal they also gave us some complimentary mini coffee merengues and mini mint marshmallows. The merengues were quite nice and light. The service was pretty good although we did sometimes have to flag down our waitress when we wanted something - she could have been around a bit more so as to be a bit more easily accessible. All in all, we had a very pleasant evening, and I would consider Bacchus in the future for any fine dining needs; I recommend you do the same!

Yelp
Bacchus has been on my list and our anniversary was the perfect day to try this dining establishment. It is located on the corner of Prospect and Wells and you can't miss the beautiful windows and patio seating. Street parking is recommended. At Bacchus we had two servers attending our table and they were on top of everything. Our servers really knew the menu and offered suggestions based on courses we chose. The service is amazing. We started off with cocktails and the house bread. I normally ignore the bread to save room for the meal but the bread was so darn good we got an extra basket. My husband and I went with the 3 course option ($65pp) because it was customizable. I wish the 5 course was customizable. Currently there are no ala carte menu items but with the 3 course you are able to add any additional first ($15), second ($40), or third course ($15). We ended up adding an additional first course. Foie Gras ($8 supplemental) - heavenly tasting, they did an excellent job with the flavoring because the foie gras was not overpowered by the rest of the plate. I recommend using some house bread to soak up all the sweet corn pudding. Citrus Cured Hamachi - very refreshing, I am surprised how much the puffed quinoa brought this dish together. Red Angus Beef-Carpaccio - The texture of this course was melt in your mouth but agree with another yelper that the egg yolk overpowered the beef. Grilled Prime Flat Iron Steak - this entrée was so bright and savory. A very appreciated flavor bomb Grilled Marinated Swordfish - Very hearty and buttery rich. I was debating on this and the Seared Sea Scallops and wish I went with the scallops. Now for the desserts! We got the carrot cake and berries & cream panna cotta. Both came in the perfect size and not too sweet. I really enjoyed my time at Bacchus. If you are looking to treat yourself or celebrate any occasion, I would highly recommend doing it here. From the amuse bouche to our pre dessert, Bacchus makes the experience special.

Yelp
A lovely dining experience with well coordinated dinner service. Dishes on the tasting menu were really well balanced, cooked to perfection and interesting. I'd definitely return!

Yelp
Bacchus, what happened to you? We recently had dinner to celebrate my birthday. I'm used to superb service from Bartolotta restaurants. Friendly and knowledgeable servers who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and have a great dinning experience. Neither was happening there last night. The Blue Fin Tuna first course was a let down. The goat cheese curds, duck dumplings, and morel agnolotti were the highlights. The scallop dish was very good. The filet was cold per my sister. But no one came by to check to see how our meals were. The desserts also missed the mark. The honey cake was awful. The cheese platter was a disappointment. The highlight of desserts was the mango semifreddo. I'd say the best part of dinner were the cocktails. At least the mixologist hasn't slipped! Come on Bartolattas! Get this place back together.

Yelp
We spent Easter brunch here and we had an incredible time! The service was amazing, the food was even better. It was a set menu for Easter brunch and it was so difficult to decide! Everything we had was great. We would love to try more of the menu soon! Overall experience: 9.2/10 Food: 9.2/10 Would we return? YES!

Yelp
I amazed by how good everything tasted! My family and I came here to celebrate a birthday, so it was nice being able to get a taste off of multiple dishes on the menu. We all ordered off the three course menu. Food: First course - Our server recommended the pork bolognese or the roasted heirloom beets. I saw some photos on Yelp of some pasta dishes from here so I knew I wanted to try the pasta bolognese. Two others at the table also ordered this and loved it. It was so so good, I would definitely get this again. It came with a good portion, the pasta was the perfect texture, and the sauce was full of pork flavor. Second course - Seared sea scallops were by far my favorite dish of the night. Everything about the dish was so perfect. The scallops were nice and tender that had a good crust on the outside while still staying soft and buttery-like on the inside. The butternut squash was so smooth and sweet, this paired with the scallops made for the perfect bite. The cauliflower added a good contrast for texture and was flavored well without overpowering the natural taste of the cauliflower. This is a must try! I also tried some of the Mediterranean Sea bass and Arctic char. Both came with a generous portion of fish. My favorite of the two was the Arctic char since the crispy skin was so delicious. Our server recommended the sea scallops and the pork loin for the second course. Third course - I was considering getting the orange creme brûlée or chocolate mousse trio for dessert, but because our server recommended the caramelized honeycrisp apple, I ended up choosing it. I also realized creme brûlée and chocolate mousse are pretty common at other restaurants, but the caramelized honeycrisp apple seemed more unique. I was honestly pretty underwhelmed by this dessert, and this course was the only one of the night that I wished I had chosen something else. The apple was pretty mediocre, it tasted like an apple pie filling, and the pecan crumble wasn't anything impressive. I had a taste of the creme brûlée and chocolate mousse and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the mousse was. It was creamy and airy, and seemed like the perfect end to a very filling three course meal. The creme brûlée was also pretty tasty, but I honestly prefer creme brûlée without the orange sugar topping. Additional food: They started us off with a potato and tzatziki starter which was yummy. We were celebrating a birthday, so they came out with a chocolate cake that was nothing too special, but they also added in some cute little pumpkin pie and cheesecake bites. The pumpkin pie bites were honestly probably one of my favorite desserts! Service: Our server was so kind and everything came out pretty quickly. She had some good recommendations, and overall, we had a 10/10 dining experience.

Yelp
Our FAVORITE Bartolotta experience and worth every dollar. We always have great service and the menu is impeccable. We've never tried something we didn't like. Most recently we had the goat cheese curds as the appetizer which were mouth watering- amazing flavor and served over a bed of arugula. 10/10!

Yelp
What can't I say about this place. From the food, to the setting, to the atomposhere, to the service, it is a 10/10! I went there to treat myself and I was not disappointed. The menu has two different options, the three course menu where you chose each course or the tasting menu. This was a 5 course amazing experience and the route I went. Every single course somehow got better and better. Each course was beautifully presented and the servers were knowledgeable about each dish. I also opted for the wine pairing. Each wine paired beautifully and was worth it. My servers were efficient, friendly and prompt. I cannot wait to go back again!

Yelp
I was always passing by this place and assumed that it is a fancy upscale place, which it is, and didn't consider it for a quick dinner. Finally after a year, decided to treat myself to a fancy meal and went in to try their menu. I was not disappointed. The service was very courteous and the servers were very pleasant. They have explained all the options that are available and made recommendations. They have been very courteous. Everything I ordered turned out to be delicious. Their complimentary bread is worth mentioning.

Yelp
Oh my- there isn't a single thing on this menu that won't have your mouth watering. Excellent service, delicious food and a great atmosphere- this restaurant is a must go to for a nice dinner. The booths were very comfortable and the vibe inside was so classic and elegant. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Food was good. Peter was a great server. We had an excellent burgundy that he recommended. Great value. we had the regular prefix. Housemaid ice cream was delicious. I had the Kampachi and packing duck which were prepared perfectly. Overall a great experience. They were also very accommodating to my almost 2 year old daughter.

Yelp
Beautiful building and restaurant with a great atmosphere. Service was excellent, good timing, friendly, and knowledgeable. Got the Manhattan for a drink and it was very good. For the three course I had the pork bolognese, wagyu, and caramel apple for dessert. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Well worth the price imo

Yelp
Stopped into Bacchus for a celebratory anniversary dinner and we had a great night. We started off with a couple of drinks, handily made by the talented bartender. Then we got out amuse bouche - a delectable mini goat cheese tart bite. It was honestly my favorite part of the meal and I could eat like 10 more. We wanted to do the five course tasting menu but the items were prix fixe, and I cannot eat beef so we opted for the three course with an a la carte app. We tried the scallops, bolognese, pulled mozzarella, pork tenderloin, Salmon, and blueberry pavlova. Everything was delicious. The scallops were amazing and the pasta was a healthy portion. I personally wouldn't do the pavlova again as it was a bit too sugary for me, but it was still delicious. We finished off with some cappuccino and petit fours (yum!). All in all a delightful evening. We did read some reviews that mentioned a free dessert for celebrations, we didn't receive that (maybe it was a pre Covid thing) but we were greeted with a wonderful card. And tbh we certainly didn't need another dessert anyways.

Yelp
If I could give 6 stars to this establishment.. I would, without second thoughts! One of my best experiences in restaurants ever! We went here for our anniversary dinner and did the Chefs tasting menu and everything was spectacular. Bacchus clearly lives up to its reputation. We had made reservations earlier and got seated right away as we arrived. Our host gave us excellent recommendations for wine based on our taste and we absolutely loved it. Our host was accompanied by multiple servers that evening as they got our courses out one after another giving perfect amount of time in between. I requested a substitute for veal and they got me seafood without any issue. The flavors were beautifully blended with each course and everything was unique and delicious. We loved all the different courses we tried with the perfect recommendation of wine. Our hosts occasionally checked on us which was great! I am so glad we did the tasting menu and had a chance to try out the different specialities of the chef! I look forward to coming back again as well as sitting outdoors over the summer.

Yelp
Came in for a rehearsal dinner with our family; it was a nice experience. They have a nice bourbon and whisky selection including some hard to find ones. The staff, seems to remember their regulars (as we found out our relatives were) and they're super accommodating to allergies and food sensitivities. Their tasting menu and dinner pairings were well executed. Definitely a must try if you're in the area!

Yelp
I was in Milwaukee for a business trip and a cocktail and seated dinner event was held in the solarium. What a beautiful setting for an event. The servers were very skilled and polite, our pre-selected meals (I had grilled Salmon) were cooked perfectly. The restaurant was very careful about food allergies and a team member sought me out at the beginning of the meal to confirm my diary allergy, inquire about other special requirements and assure me that he was aware of the allergy and had communicate that to the chef. He checked in with me on a couple of occasions to make sure I was doing well. My dessert was three small sorbet balls instead of other options with dairy. I will be back. Impressive spot, excellent location.

Yelp
Had dinner at Bacchus this evening for our 28th wedding anniversary. Food and service were impeccable. Couldn't have asked for a better evening. Thank you to the whole staff!

Yelp
Went to Bacchus for my anniversary dinner and it didn't disappoint. The tasting menu was great. Started out with an amuse bouche of panna cota with a beet salad on top. Least favorite bite of the night but everything went up from there. First course was perfectly seared scallops and fresh pulled mozzarella. Second was corn risotto and wagyu beef. The risotto was unlike any I had before (in a good way). The wagyu was ordered medium rare but looked pretty rare to this vegetarians eyes. My husband said it was agreeable and didn't mention anything to the staff. Dessert was phenomenal. Homemade ice cream (caramel cashew and cherry) and pavlova with blueberries. Not sure what the little bite at the end is called but passion fruit marshmallows are a thing and amazing. I went home stuffed like I was at an all you can eat buffet. We were presented with a signed Happy Anniversary card and a another delicious dessert. The manager came out and spoke with us and everyone was very kind. Class act and delicious food will make us come back.

Yelp
We took my mom here for her 60th birthday and we're blown away by the impeccable service! The food was good too but we felt very taken care of. I had the she crab and the Spanish octopus and both were delightful. My mom tried the lamb ravioli even though she doesn't like meat she doesn't know (lol) and she was blown away by the flavor and now even says she likes lamb! The drinks were top notch and the wine was the icing on the cake of a perfect visit!

Yelp
Fantastic experience. We were in Milwaukee for a few days and kinda winged our dining spots. We walked in here without reservations on a Thursday and sat at the bar. We settled on the five-course menu with wine pairings (see pics attached) and were duly impressed all around. The woman behind the bar provided amazing service. Initially she was swamped by a corporate dinner going on there, but things settled down. She said that she worked closely with the sommelier there and it showed in her wine knowledge. Food and pairings were amazing. Decadent and worth it. The ambiance was lovely - high ceilings and lots of light. I recommend this for a full meal or a quick drink, but the former is much better!

Yelp
I would give the food and presentation a 10 out of five stars it's that good. But because of Covid they no longer have a menu. You choose a 4 Course or 5 course meal. Each course is a small dollop of food on your plate, once again presented excellent and tasting excellent. When the main course came out it was once again a small ( very small) spot of food on the plate. We had chosen the wine pairing to go along with each course , and once again the pairings were excellent. The evening for 2 was $420 and we stopped at a local tavern on the way home to get something to eat. We are a slim and trim couple so if your thinking big people big appetites your way off base. If you are going to charge this much for a meal people shouldn't leave hungry. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Yelp
Went for Valentine's Day dinner with my husband and we had their 3 course meal. The missing stars were for (1) the steak tartare, it was pasty and the beef was too finely ground. You cannot taste the meat at all, or the capers, it was just a salty paste. If they didn't call it steak tartare I wouldn't have known what I was eating. Disappointing because steak tartare is one of my fave dishes. (2) grilled octopus 1st course dish. My husband ordered the foie gras and I had the octopus for the first course, my dish was very disappointing. More chorizo than octopus. I think the octopus should be the center piece of the dish. The spices from the chorizo overpowered the octopus. To make matters worse they topped the dish off with an overly charred piece of bread that by gross inspection, looks like charcoal. The foie gras was as buttery as you'd expect. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked. And the desserts were amazing. We will go back to try their regular menu and would like to experience outdoor seating in the warmer months. The ambience is perfect for a romantic/intimate dining. I'm hoping that the regular menu would be better. The service was great and I hate that I have to give it 3stars.

Yelp
Wow! What a wonderful fine dining experience. The service was outstanding and great menu with something for everyone. The three course menu left me wanting to come back for more. I especially loved their take on a carrot cake and the gentle use of saffron. Will definitely be heading back here very soon!

Yelp
A very solid four (probably more four and a half) stars. The service was excellent, we both did a three course tasting menu. To start the amuse bouche was delicious, as were the appetizers (octopus and beets. Octopus was far tastier). I enjoyed my fillet medallion, the only miss was the dessert. I'm a huge huge chocolate fan, and the chocolate pot de crème was so bland. It could use a much stronger chocolate flavor. However I also tasted the Mille feiulle, which was much better. I definitely will come back, and hope I can give it the five stars it could deserve if the flavors were just slightly better!

Yelp
Wow. How can such an expensive and complex restaurant like this continue to remain in business? One only wonders if it is some kind of test out of the hunger games if you will survive rude, even hostile service, bad cold food, the bright, unflattering lights or, best yet are willing to pay over $200 per person while enduring really load piped in soft rock music that You can't talk over even to the waiter to order. Like a scene out of a Cohen Brother movie, but not even funny in a sarcastic way. One wonders if this restaurant is kept open as some secret joke to see who will pass the test by simply saying: A very bad restaurant in every sense of the word for a very very high price. You will need therapy after the ptsd experience and wonder how, in the Bacccus chain, what internal family fight leads to this restaurant continuing to have the gall to open its door for business by the openly hostile hosts, while every other restaurant in the Bartolatta chain is infinitely better than this. In fact, every restaurant in the McDo ales chain of restaurants is a better experience.

Yelp
Really really delicious. The main entrees which are scallop, duck, and Seabass were absolutely excellent. Desserts were excellent as well which we got cheese and jam. I think recently the menu just changed, but I would say this is the best Bartoletta. Though I never tried harbor house.

Yelp
What a disappointment! We went here for their NYE meal at $150 a person it was NOT worth it. Let's start with the service. Supposedly they were working in "teams' for NYE. This meant random servers would walk by your table to help. This may make sense to the owners but this causes confusion for the customers!! I would tell one server one thing they would forget and another would come by so I would tell them the same thing then 20 min later they would both deliver on the request? Made no sense and was detrimental to the service. Servers were nice but unorganized and hardly professional. We were asked "are you done working here"? like I was a the Golden Corral slamming down my meal or something. FOOD: Really? Pre-set menus typically do not impress but this missed by a mile. Poor presentation, hardly exciting flavors and it was delivered like fast food. Clumsy and with lack of passion and care. My steak lacked flavor and the broccolini that was my side was ICE cold. I had the server touch it to proved how nasty it was! Then they said they would bring a new one. Literally 30 min later a sad new serving of broccolini was brought out that tasted like they rubbed it on the meat grill for a few min then brought it out. I was embarrassed that I brought my date here! I mean I looked like an idiot for paying 400 bucks for this meal. NO IDEA how this place gets such high ratings but they literally fell on their face for NYE. We asked the server if they were doing anything for NYE she said. "I do not know" lol. Oh but for our trouble they gave us $15 off our 400 dollar meal.. so gracious. Anyway I will not be back ever.

Yelp
My husband, son, his girlfriend and I were extremely disappointed in Bacchus. We all have dined many times with Bartolotta restaurants so we anticipated a great evening. This was our first time though at Bacchus. When we walked in it was super bright. Which was odd. After we were seated and our waiter came over I asked about the lighting. He thought they might not have dimmed the lights yet. A few minutes later the manager came over and I asked him about the lights. He actually said the Owners of Bartolotta restaurants wouldn't let him turn them down. And then tells us...a lot of their patrons are passing away and they want to get more young people to dine with them so they want to keep it bright!! So ridiculous. I wasn't asking him to turn the lights off, just to dim them. It really ruined our night. I will say, the food was very good however, for us, food is only part of the equation. .There was just zero atmosphere and it felt so sterile. With our dinners and 3 drinks our bill was over $400.00. So disappointing. Needless to say, we will not go back.

Yelp
I went on a date with my long time boyfriend just for a night out and it was amazing! We ordered the onion soup, and forgot to ask for no cheese, lactose tolerant, and they were so willing to re make it! I loved the main course and the bread was fantastic! Nothing could beat the view of Lake Michigan we had from our table, gorgeous place. Only complaint is that when the check came they automatically charged my card the tip without asking first, I had cash but it was fine. 10/10
