Bacchus The Winehouse

It was my last night in Guatemala and I wanted to take myself out for some wine and quiet. The guy behind the bar seemingly could not hide his clear disdain for me. I tried to make small talk (in my broken Spanish) and was met with the most unfriendly, curt reply. I came in, had my single glass of (admittedly very tasty) tempranillo, didn't make noise or bother anyone but I guess being a foreigner is enough to draw the ire of the man behind the bar. Loved the wine, wouldn't come back though.

A great back patio to relax, have a drink, and chat with friends in. Seemed to be connected to other bar, like most places, but didn't seem to mind that we came and went in between the two with our large group. The pinacolada was the best.

If you like wine you should check this cosy little place out. A calm, chilled wine bar with lots of choice. It was good to find out more about Antigua through Sebastian who runs the bar.

Love this place. My favorite wine bar in Antigua. Small and cozy on the inside with a beautiful courtyard behind as well. A wide selection of wines is available, and they even have my favorite beers, Toña. There is always a happy hour deal as well.

This place seems nice to me from the wine perspective, they have a lot of selection and the location is very centric, I like the atmosphere and the music, however I ordered this plate they offer that has literally 4-5 cookies/ 2 bread sticks and some cheap cheese from a plastic container. I think is overpriced and they should try to find a good cheese selection, and give more on the plate to the customers, seems like they don’t understand that if you give some snack with the wine, the customers will be happy and buy more wine, and come back to their place. Seems like they just want to make profits with this place which is obviously the main reason but if they keep being like this… that will loose a lot of good regular customers. I could be one btw! Cause I love wine!!

Amazing wine selection in a beautiful and cozy setting. Sandra made us feel welcome and right at home. Definitely will return!
