Bach Suites Saigon, a Member of Design Hotels

So why high individual scores but only 3 overall? Well the hotel is exceptional. Rooms are brilliant, dining room fantastic, lounge downstairs is like something from the Ritz. Outstanding place, staff pleasant, noise? Ah not that bad. We slept fine. The reason for the 3 stars is on our last night the bar and dining area was booked out for a private party. No notice given when we booked or when we stayed. We rolled up for a drink and some dinner and got turned away. How can you do this to your guests without any advance notice? It is very poor to charge your guests a premium price to stay and then remove two of the amenities they would like to use. It has certainly made me question whether I would ever risk coming here again or recommending the place to family and friends. Sad, because it is so nice.

So much to love about Bach Suites. Where do I begin? We arrived very late because there were mechanical issues with the plane and immigration took 2 hours. We arrived at the hotel close to 9:30 pm. We were greeted by Mr. Bach. He has the same last name as the hotel name, so I had to make a joke about that. He was warm and very personable. We received welcome drinks and he explained to us about the prohibited fruits. We asked about dinner and we were surprised that the restaurant was still open and told us the location. He gave us our room keys and had someone take our bags upstairs. First impressions mean a lot, and we knew this was going to be great. |We loved the room; it was large and beautifully decorated. We promptly went upstairs to the restaurant to the 9th floor and walked upstairs. What a surprise! There’s a pool on the rooftop, a bar halfway to the restaurant, a gym and even the stairway was beautiful along with view. We were greeted by Mr. Dahn who is so good at what he does. He explained the menu as a chef would and made recommendations and the way he succinctly described the menu made us ready to eat. He is so passionate and such a personable man, it’s easy to see why he’s there. He didn’t want all the credit, so he gave me the names of those who were there, so thank you Thuy, Thang, Trung, and Nghi. You are all kind, very congenial and so detail-oriented. We were checked on multiple times to ensure we were happy and that was obvious! |That night we had the lamb, which had this beautiful crust and the duck was so delicious along with crispy fries and really nice cocktails. The second night we had beef, which was so tender and we watched the entire process! |I could go on and on, but to have this high level of customer service (we did receive maps, advice on where to go, and were able to get an extension in our room for an hour).|We were even chased as we were about to enter the vehicle to leave because I left some clothing in the closet.|The only negative is the loud music that plays in the next building. Our room was on the side of it. It starts early and ends late. There are earplugs available to use. I used them the first night and fell asleep shortly after and didn’t use them the second night. All of the pluses, along with the room rate makes this an unforgettable experience and an absolute bargain.

Great stay at the hotel! The location was perfect, right smack in the middle of a couple of restaurants/bars. Every place we went to was almost a walking distance away. Apart from the weather, I enjoyed my trip. The room comes with an induction stove as well which made heating up food easier (thank you so much for this!). The hotel staffs were helpful and accommodating. Thank you for making my trip and my stay in the hotel amazing! I can’t wait to be back ❤️

Enjoyed my stay very much. The room is very spacious and well designed, but the sound proof ain’t good. I hear the beer bar all night long!! Staffs are friendly and helpful, the rooftop pool is also very clean and comfortable. (Not the poolside seats) The breakfast venue on the top of 10th floor has great view but it’s a bit complicated to get there. Plenty options for breakfast.

DO NOT COME HERE Heads up on Bach Suites Saigon! While some praise its chic design and central location, recent experiences, including my own, suggest you might want to think twice before booking. My take? It felt overpriced with services that didn't meet expectations. I've heard similar feedback from others – sometimes service can be inconsistent. Plus, being in a lively area, noise from nearby clubs can be a real issue at night, even with earplugs provided. If you're looking for better value, superior rooms, and more consistent service at a similar price point, I'd strongly recommend checking out JW Marriott instead. It might offer a much smoother and more satisfying stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Consider this a warning: Do not come here if consistent service and quiet are your top priorities!

The rooms are in such a good shape except the towel holder, but they are still luxurious and actually look better in real life than on the pictures which suprised me. The lounge and lobby smell soo good like peppermint and lemon, they offer you free tea and coffee at the lounge which is open 24/7. The staff are so nice the kindest people I have met in Saigon, they gave us a free upgrade to a suite when we booked two nights a suite and one night a normal room. The rooftop restaurant looks to pretty it’s small, but I love it and honestly it’s looks way comfortable 10 out of 10 for the restaurant. The breakfast tasted amazing, the desserts are so good. The location is also so great, you can walk to everything from there.

The location of the hotel was great, right in the middle of action. Lots of restaurants and sights around. The service was super friendly. The room was very nicely appointed and reasonably clean. The water pressure was somewhat inconsistent -- a few seconds powerful alternating with a few seconds weak. It made brushing teeth and taking showers a bit challenging. The breakfast was great. There was a nightclub nearby which pumped out loud music till late. Not a big issue for me but could be for those sensitive to noise.

Regardless of the hotel’s ambience, amenities, and courteous service, the loud DJ music you’ll have to endure makes it simply not worth the money. While the noise may be beyond the hotel’s direct control, the fact that they withheld this crucial information is deceptive. If you are sensitive to noise, avoid this hotel—the music will keep you awake at night. I regret booking my stay here and having to tolerate it for all five days. After reading some of the reviews, I noticed the hotel’s responses imply that guests were informed of the noise issue in advance—which is completely untrue. As a Bonvoy member, I believe this property should not carry the Bonvoy brand. I intend to raise this issue with Bonvoy, and I encourage any guests who have had a similarly unpleasant experience to do the same. It is a disgrace for this hotel to remain part of the Bonvoy portfolio. Furthermore, the hotel’s replies to certain negative comments appear passive and lack genuine concern.
