Bachelors' Mosque

Suleyman Pasha Mosque or what they call it now Bachelor’s Mosque is a fascinating place to visit and pray. Wonderful sound of Azan attracted me to cross the bridge and give it a visit.

Had a really positive experience at the mosque! It’s absolutely beautiful and truly peaceful. There were scarves to cover my hair and Sammy was a great guide who answered all my questions and welcomed me with open arms

Lovely mosque with amazing frescoes at the back and cobbled streets either side.

Two single young men go to Istanbul to work. and they want to do something nice from the money they earn. and they build this mosque. And this mosque takes its name from these two single men. Although it is in a very bad condition, it can be worshiped. You can ask for a key from the Berat Mufti's office on the side.

Bachelors' Mosque is a prominent landmark of the neighborhood of Mangalem, which is a part of the city of Berat in Albania. The spectacular edifice was designed and constructed circa 1828, and at present, is an important heritage structure of the city. It is noted for its architectural and cultural significance, and was once one of the principal religious sites of the city. It features a magnificent minaret, and its interiors are adorned with vibrant and colorful paintings. The esteemed Ministry of Culture of Albania has designated this mosque as a 'Cultural Monument'. Don't give this place a miss at any cost!
