It was my birthday and my husband surprised me coming here as we have wanted to try for a while as I read the reviews of authentic Italian food. We are frequent travelers of Bologna, Firenze, Roma, Regione di Toscana and Regione di Veneio. Let’s say there will not be a return visit. Food: The bread was stale and just bad. Definitely not fresh. Carpaccio di manzo was average but overpriced for only 4 slices of thin deli meat portions. Gnocchi con salsiccia was average but the best tasting item for the night we had but the tomato sauce had too much sugar added. (Not my meal) Spaghetti tutti mari. (My dish) Horrible and all wrong. No sauce but a watery broth with a hint of tomato, onion and garlic. Overcooked and rubbery seafood. When I got my dish I de-shelled all seafood before trying. I took my first bit which was the pasta and “sauce” and only tasted tomato water. The waitress came over after a few minutes and I asked if I could have more “tomato sauce.” I poured out the watery broth and just thought I just need more sauce. She brings me a tomato sauce that was basically sugar with tomato. Then I started to eat my seafood and it was all rubbery, I couldn’t even chew the squid/mini octopus and spit it out. I keep looking for my waitress and then she never looked over or came back until she saw my husband finished his meal. The food took 15-20 minutes. I wasn’t going to wait for another mediocre meal on my birthday while then my husband watches me eat. I told her of the issue and she asked if I wanted another one. I told her no because my husband was already done eating then she asked if I wanted seafood pasta TO GO. I declined. Service: The waitress didn’t even ask if we wanted desert and she knew it was my birthday. Then gave us the check and my $36 meal was still on the bill after I obviously didn’t eat the meal outside of tasting. She seemed shocked when we said the meal was still left on the receipt. The gentleman who brought out the food was very friendly and hospitable. We had a pleasant short conversation about him working he for several years. Atmosphere: I know we are in Hawaii but this is restaurant gives off, dress up not coming in your beach gear and was very warm to dine in (80 degrees+). Definitely was sweating and regretting dressing up. I don’t know if all the positive reviews are of people who have never had a true authentic Italian meal or we just got very average and bad items. I’m not going to gamble with $35 dishes to find out. And a birthday meal I won’t want to remember.

My daughter says this is the best Italian food she’s had on island. I fully agree! I’ll definitely be going again next time I’m in town!

Love this place; its one of our go-to places for dates. I've never had a dish here that didn't taste great! My favorite is the vitello al limone, but they have different specials on different nights and those are always really good too. Our go-to dessert is creme brulee, and I love that they toast it right before they deliver it and the whole restaurant smells like marshmallow. Will always enjoy coming here :)

The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and comfortable – the kind of place where you instantly feel welcome. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, but we have to give a special shoutout to Matt. He went above and beyond for us in ways that truly made our experience memorable. The food was also fantastic! Highly recommend!

Sadly our (expensive) meal was ruined when the family near us let their toddler watch cartoons on an iPhone with the volume up. It was such a detriment to what would have been a lovely evening. My husband and I were celebrating and went all out with menu selections and wine. We couldn’t wait to leave. It would be nice if this restaurant had a policy that if movies and tv are watched at the table that headphones are required. This would allow the rest of the patrons to not be forced to listen to cartoons at a ‘white linen’ upscale restaurant.

All over excellent! Started with the Mussels & great bottle of wine.. Then we each tried the veal ( three ways ).. each bite of food was an explosion of ecstasy!! Wonderful service & atmosphere 🥰 The carpaccio was excellent too!!

Baci Bistro wasn’t my first option for dinner on a Sunday night, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food and robust menu. Unfortunately, slow and inconsistent service left the overall dining experience less than ideal. Me and my party made a reservation for the evening and were quickly seated at our reservation time. The server was slow to get to our table and while there was olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table we did not see bread until over halfway through the meal. I ordered the pear salad for an appetizer and was impressed by the flavor and presentation. The rigatoni with sausage also had excellent taste, but was on the smaller side for a main dish. We finished the meal with tiramisu, and Baci Bistro’s tiramisu is certainly up there with the best I’ve had. Throughout the meal our server was either slow or inattentive, while only working 4 tables in the inside portion of the restaurant. Maybe it was an off-night for them, but I expected more given the reviews. Overall Baci Bistro is a decent place to visit if you’re looking for a large selection of Italian dishes in Kailua. If their service was as good as their tiramisu they’d easily be a 4-5 star restaurant in this reviewer’s humble opinion.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day and it was an absolute wonderful and lovely experience. We made 5:00 PM reservations on the lanai in front of Baci Bistro, as we knew it was going to get crowded as the evening went on, and it's a good thing we did just that. The food is absolutely amazing and our server Tanner did such an excellent job taking care of us, giving recommendations and answering any questions we had about the menu items and dishes! Very friendly and attentive to our needs as well as checking up on us pretty frequently! As for the food, I had one of their 4 cheese ravioli specials and we shared some other appetizers along the way as well as the chocolate decadence with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The portions may look smaller, but they are absolutely rich in flavor and will definitely fill you up! There is street parking right in front of Baci Bistro and then two paid parking lots nearby. We would love to come back here in the future for another special occasion!

Yelp
Not our first visit to this Kailua staple, and definitely won't be our last! As always the service is very friendly and attentive. The food comes out at the right pace and fresh. Restaurant is cozy and has a lively vibe. Every dish we've tried over the years have been great. I really must recommend the risotto con porcini and add on some scallops! Or for pasta you gotta get the truffles gnocchi! Plus if you like cheese, the mascarpone cheesecake is a must! P.S. I would recommend making a reservation if possible, as this spot is always pumping!

Yelp
This was my first time at Baci Bistro and if I lived in the area, I'd likely make it a go-to place! There's metered street parking available along the front and a paid parking lot just behind the restaurant as well. Our group was there for a birthday celebration and we had a party of 7, including 2 kids. I think smaller party sizes are better, because they can get you in and out quickly, but they definitely do accommodate more folks if you need it. We didn't make a reservation, so not sure if they offer them, but we got there just as they opened and we're seated relatively quickly. Our server, Cheynell, was excellent! She was patient with the little ones, friendly and attentive to our needs through the meal, answered our questions, and made helpful recommendations. The only negative part of our experience here was the wait time to get our food was quite long. The kids orders went in early so they could eat, but they were already done before the rest of our food came out... Thankfully, the food was absolutely delicious!! The portions were appropriate serving sizes, but my food was so good I definitely wished there was more! If you're in Kailua, it's definitely worth trying out...

Yelp
Always a fun time at this family run restaurant that we've been coming to for years. Cozy spot for family dinners, meeting up with friends, and special occasions! For apps we usually get bruschetta, calamari steak, and salads. The calamari was so tender at this visit! My favorite is the Linguine Nere Con Capesante (Squid ink linguine with scallops, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes in a saffron cream sauce). It'll have you wanting to scrape the bowl clean with bread, that good. The scallops on top were also very tender at this visit. Osso bucco with risotto, a special weekly dish is another family favorite if you want something heavier. Nice wine selection too. Easy street parking around the restaurant/neighborhood.

Yelp
Baci bistro is OUT !!!! Our waiter was scattered and the food was cold and I ordered lobster ravioli $35 included 5 raviolis Ordered beers and our server forgot to grab them so when I reminded him he brought them and they were warm The bill was delivered and it was not our bill it was lower and we could have paid and ditched but asked for the correct bill and paid it. Super disappointed

Yelp
Absolutely loved our dinner at Baci Bistro! We had the kindest and most attentive waiter and he was very accommodating. The food was also OUT OF THIS WORLD! I had the black squid ink pasta - definitely get it! Some of the best pasta we've ever had, right down to my son's Mac and cheese. Will be back for sure!
google avatar

Blaze T.

Yelp
The squid ink pasta with was delectable, 3 pretty small scallops, but perfectly cooked. The sun dried tomatoes were perfect for the saffron sauce, which was a very rich and unique tasting sauce; highly recommend the dish. My wife on the other hand was quite disappointed with the lobster ravioli. It only came with 4 ravioli and was more of a soup with ravioli in it. The taste was quite nice and the lack of size was redeemed by the free bread that was really good. We got the burrata special as an appetizer; kind of hate ordering specials because you never know how much it cost until it gets there, it was pretty much the spring mix from Costco with balsamic; but the mozzarella was really good, and the tomatoes were superb. ($16) Service was pretty slow, but they started to get pretty busy so it's understandable. Overall it's not really worth the cost, but the restaurant has a nice ambiance and friendly staff.

Yelp
Looking for a second stomach because the rigatoni con salisiccia pasta and desserts are too good and I feel too full to eat everything, but it's definitely worth returning to try other desserts! The chocolate decadence is a THICC cake (my fav). It's almost like a dense brownie and wonderfully tasty. The panna cotta is lighter and fresh, but also just as sweet. You cannot go wrong with either!

Rega L.

Yelp
Having lived in Italy for over 20 years, we know Italian cuisine. This evening we couldn't recognize much of what we ordered. The grilled calamari was a "brick" of reconstructed squid - served with marinara sauce! The grilled marinated shrimp were covered with a mound of feta cheese mixture that totally overpowered the shrimp. The seafood risotto was gluey and overcooked. The accompanying clams and mussels were dry. The veal saltimbocca was drowned in a nondescript gravy. Overall, the presentation was something one would expect from a roadside diner. Service was matter of fact and mediocre. If you like Italian food, you should kiss Baci goodbye.

Yelp
A local favorite that does everything right! Our last visit during December had us enchanted and put in the mood from the beautiful holiday decorations. I hope whom ever puts these up knows that they are appreciated! The Linguini Nero con Capesante delicious, black pasta with saffron cream, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and perfectly grill sea scallops. Shrimp scampi starter was also noteworthy. Service is impeccable. Only detraction was an overly dressed Caesar salad, delicious dressing just excessively blessed.

Yelp
I heard about this place earlier this year. My girlfriend and I went to Windward Mall and were deciding on what to eat after. Nothing at the mall was interesting us so I was checking what was nearby. Then I remembered this place and since we both love Italian food, we decided to go. We got there about an hour and a half before they closed. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us. Their emblem is a kiss mark. My girlfriend has a similar tattoo so all the workers noticed and loved that. Very nice staff. The food is really good. I played it safe and got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. She got the gnocchi. She won lol. I had 1 piece because she was not going to give up any more of that delicious dish. I couldn't blame her. It was so good! We ended with some desert. We had the chocolate pastry puff things Also good! We sat for a bit after. They didn't pressure us to leave. If I had one note, because we were there closer to closing, some of the workers were winding down and making themselves food and being kind of loud. I think if we were further away, we may not have really noticed it that much. All-in-all a good place to eat. A great date night place. Pretty chill. I'll be back.

Yelp
Still our Italian favorite restaurant , Baci Bistro in Kailua is by far is the best restaurant on the Windward side! I like how they now open at 4pm, they used to be booked solid till 9pm, so we go early now, and can pick our table! Best ravioli, they always have a special one nightly, but I always pick the lobster ravioli, it's so rich and decadent. Their Chicken picatta is outrageously delicious and abundant, we always have left overs. I decided to go rogue, and order the Special of the day, purple Okinawan potato gnocchi and hubby ordered chicken picatta. I was so looking forward to my dish, but the texture of a potato gnocchi wasn't what I expected. My hubby loved it, and my 2nd pick was the picatta, so we traded & were happily satisfied. We always order a side of saffron risotto which is only around $6 and a delicious generous portion. You can bring your own wine, they raised the corkage fee from $15 to $20, but still less expensive to BYOW. An espresso Martini is always my "dessert" but they had a special plate for $20 that had 2 mini canollis, creme brulee, a Raspberry tart, decadent chocolate cake, vanilla gelato and a fluffy marshmallow treat. It was worth it to find out which is your favorite. We alway end up with a full stomach and leftovers. Win win! Check out the picture of my dessert plate

Yelp
Came here with a few friends for a friend's birthday - made reservation before hand. I ordered the squid ink linguine which was rich and creamy. However, for the portion of food, the price is unjustifiable. Our waitress however was very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Went for a family dinner, ordered different dishes including gnocchi and so on,the gnocchi were simply not edible, the amount of garlic was just incredible. This is simply another so called Italian that has nothing of Italian cuisine.

Yelp
A wonderful experience from start to finish! My granddaughter and I had a "girls night out". The food was terrific (I had the lobster ravioli and she had the Bambini (make your own pasta). The employees were terrific, so attentive. I love that we have such wonderful restaurants right in Kailua. Support local and dine at Baci Bistro!

Yelp
It's one of my favorite Italian dining spots on the island. Parking is always a bit tricky since it's metered, but if you're lucky, you can grab a spot right in front. Otherwise, there are two lots, just behind the bldg and one across the street. On this occasion, I ordered some takeout to enjoy with my daughter at her place in town. I know she loves a great Fettuccine Alfredo, and this is one of the few places that serves a Veal Marsala (which I love), so these were a given to order. They also have a really great Caprese salad, with the freshest mozzarella and sweet red tomatoes. Along with a Caesars salad, this was a full meal. I placed my order over the phone, and everything was ready when I got there. Even after 20 minutes into town, the food was still at a good temp (hot entrees were warm and cold salads were cold) and delicious, as usual. Love their food and dine in service has always been great. They even have a Keiki (child) menu for the kids or light eaters. The wine list is fairly good, and they offer dull bar service. What more could you ask for.

Yelp
My pappardelle del Camino was delightful; the sauce was rich and the brightness of the sun dried tomato really was a delight. Our server was kind, gave great recommendations but a little all over the place; a cocktail as well as coffees were forgotten about and had to be reminded. My aunt and husband ordered the Puttanesca but were very disappointed at the lack of anchovies present as that's why they ordered the dish. Overall was a pleasant experience with heavenly desserts!

Yelp
My husband and I had our wedding reception at this restaurant and it was beautiful. Matt and Christina were very responsive and helpful during the planning process. They made customized menu's and decorated beautifully. They were welcoming and their team felt like part of the family. They set up the restaurant exactly how we asked and they moved tables to facilitate speeches and dancing. Our guests could not stop raving about the food! Everything, from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious. This is my favorite Italian restaurant and I am so happy we chose this place to celebrate our marriage! It will always be my number one date night spot!

Yelp
I'd recommend making a reservation - our party of 4 came right at 5 when they opened and they were able to seat us right away despite our reservation being for 530. Service was a tad slow at first but then it picked up. Food was really great! I tried the espresso martini, bruschetta & gnocchi. Great flavors all around and they're really great about presentation and making sure your water doesn't empty. Ambiance is nice, it feels a bit romantic and would make a great spot to catch up with a friend or have a date. Clean restroom, metered street parking.

Yelp
I just came here for the first time and I absolutely adore this spot. Great food, drinks, and service! We sat outdoors and I loved the lighting and the indoor seating is also very pleasant. I can't wait to come back here again!

Yelp
The food was okay. Smaller portion than expected for lobster ravioli. Had better risotto at another restaurant. The service was good, they weren't super busy. Our waitress was nice. We were by the entrance so a lot of going in and out in that area. We sat inside and it was nice. Although we made a reservation and said it was my daughter's birthday, they did not take note of it but our waitress took off the soda (which was flat) off our bill. We had the dessert sampler, not sure if that was worth $25.
google avatar

Yelp
So we hadn't been to Baci in a while and thought we'd go on Saturday. Sat down, had a drink, ordered dinner. We told the waiter we didn't want appetizers because we would be ordering desserts- a few because all looked yummy. Dinner was delicious and then we didn't see the waiter for 20 min. Since restaurant is small that was interesting. And when he saw us, ignored us, even when we flagged him down. So we ended up leaving after paying the bill- no dessert from Baci- and picked up dessert at Nico's on our way home. Sorry, won't be back anytime soon.
google avatar

Yelp
By far the best Italian in Hawaii The Papperdelle with mushrooms chicken and sausage or the linguine in squid ink or the dessert sampler with a port or cognac. Service us impeccable!

Yelp
Every year we make it a point to dine at Baci. Kris, the owner of, is friendly and attentive. The food and ambience is always great!

Yelp
This was my second visit to Baci bistro in two years. When I went the first time, it was just OK. I went the second time with other people because they wanted to check it out and I figure maybe the first time was a hiccup. Sad to say, it wasn't awesome this time as well. I mean, the service was good. The food was just OK. Kind of mediocre to be honest. The table bread was pretty cold and a little hard/stale. They probably could use a little bit of a facelift as far as the restaurant itself. I'm rooting for these guys because I want them to do well. I want the Windward side to have good Italian. But, it was like a B-/C+.
google avatar

Yelp
Best service Great Food! The specials are always amazing, but the desert Wins!! Don't sleep on that cheese cake! Go get it now!!

Yelp
Very nice European-like settings with lovely veranda and friendly staff. They allow to bring your own wine (however, we paid $20 corkage fee for a bottle instead of $15 mentioned on their website). Unfortunately, the food was very far from Italian standards. Bruschetta was soaking wet and not seasoned at all, not even with salt, just some dull salsa-like substance put on the piece of poorly roasted bread. Risotto (we tried the porcini and the seafood) had slightly burnt smell, eatable but not joyful. The dessert was a total disaster. Cannoli had a thick waffle, but not crisp enough, the cream wasn't smooth enough and tasted sourish. In summary, neither we nor our stomachs were happy or even satisfied. Would not recommend.
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
Good service, good food... A bit pricier than it needs to be for the food, but the ambience and service makes up for it.

Marynell K.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for an unplanned date night. We were craving Italian food and though this restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside we chose to eat here because of the pictures lol When we walked inside we were surprised with how well maintained the inside is. It does get a little warm inside so I would dress cool. We started with a glass of Pinot Grigio and the special antipasti of clams. We both really enjoyed the clams it paired really well with their bread. The olive oil they provide for the bread was exquisite as well. For our entrees we got the linguine nere con capesante, Squid ink linguine with scallops, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes in a cream sauce and the fish of the day which I unfortunately forgot the name. Both of our entrees were delicious. The linguine was just delectable. The best pasta I've had in a really long time. We were so full we ended up ordering our dessert to go. Though the cannoli weren't my favorite they were just okay. The service was great! Our server kept our glasses filled and our tummies happy.

Yelp
Yummy spot for good Italian food on a date night. The scallops and squid ink pasta was one of the best pasta dishes in recent memory. The sauce was decadent and creamy. Scallops perfectly cooked. Umami mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. I'd come back here daily for this dish! The roasted garlic and toasted bread appetizer was good but skimpy. There was less than 1/4 head of garlic served with a few grilled slices of bread but it was yummy. The truffle gnocchi sauce was watered down and there were zero truffles and no truffle flavor... just a few pieces of mushrooms. I'd definitely skip that dish next time. It was sad and pathetic. -10 out of 10. Wine list is narrow but decent. Starting at $45 a bottle. Service is friendly but slow. Ambience is nice. Jazzy "elevator love music" to enjoy as you make love to your pasta.

Yelp
The food and service was excellent The patio seating was very quaint and you don't feel like you are eating on the sidewalk. The menu has something for everyone. Most definitely will be coming back for more.

Amy M.

Yelp
Walked in the jet lag left with an incredible culinary experience and warm environment - friendly, personable, like a native Italian neighbour gem.

Yelp
Went here for dinner with friends on a weeknight so it wasn't too busy. Everything sounded delicious so we decided we were going to get three different pastas and we'd share it all. I have a cilantro and parsley allergy so I asked the waitress if all the dishes could be made without parsley and cilantro and no garnish. It seemed like she wrote that down but when the food came out, EVERYTHING has parsley all over it. I was already annoyed especially since I told her it was an allergy. Instead of wasting food and having them make everything all over again I just asked for one of the dishes to be remade and we all didn't end up sharing. The man who came to help with the allergy situation was trying to be very nice about it and allowed my friends to eat the parsley covered scallops on the old plate so at least that didn't go to waste. That was nice of him. The waitress came back to our table and said "my bad now I know." This is honestly what made me really agitated because what is that supposed to mean?! I explicitly told you about my allergy when I ordered... now you know that if someone has an allergy, maybe it's a good idea to let the kitchen know that?! The food ended up being good but wasn't good enough to take away the bad taste in my mouth from the waitress. We are definitely doing our next catch up dinner somewhere else.
google avatar

Yelp
‼Not Celiac Safe‼ Super unfortunate since they have gluten free pasta listed on the menu:( Ordered gluten free pasta, told the server about my gluten allergy and made sure he understood my pasta would have to be cooked in separate pasta water. He was a little grumpy but told me he understood. When the pasta got to me, I was halfway done when I found a regular spaghetti noodle it. I told him I found it in my pasta, he said "oh sh*t ok" and then literally didn't do anything else about it didn't comp it on the bill or anything, just boxed it for me and asked if we wanted to buy dessert (obviously not dude lol) Been here once before and had better service and didn't get glutened, so it just seems to be inconsistent. I'd unfortunately be wary if you're celiac or have any other allergy!

Yelp
What a delightful stumble.... We were going to eat across the street and just weren't feeling the limited menu so we walked back over and checked if they could seat us. We got lucky with a table and were blown away! One of the owners or the owner came up to our table to check on us and we ended up gabbing it up and swapping stories and recommendations. On the service alone I will continue to support this local spot. Definitely vouch for the dinner menu fully. Every bite had a happy dance right behind it! The desserts weren't the strongest bit. I'm not a huge dessert person anyways but we couldn't decide so the owner gave us two. They were okay the panna cotta type dessert had set too long and the consistency was off. The flavor was also too light so it was all about texture which wasn't right because of the heavy set. The fresh fruit saved it slightly. The cannoli tiramisu type dessert was okay but after dinner packing so much technique and flavor and melty goodness the desserts were just underwhelming. Hoping to try more of the menu and hoping there's some branching and adventure coming in the dessert portion. Definitely recommend for a nice date night spot, but beware of bugs flying if you sit on the front patio.

Yelp
We had a GNO to celebrate the birthday of one of our group and Baci Bistro exceeded our expectations! From the wonderful service of Cheynelle and everyone at Baci to the absolutely mouth watering food to the great prices, we were so happy we tried something "new". This may be our new "go to" for Italian!! Mahalo, Baci Bistro!!

Yelp
Amazing. Super cute little spot that serves some damn good food. Always coming back. The lobster ravioli is spot on with the flavors.

Yelp
Lobster ravioli - good glory good!!! Make your tastebuds happy with this Italian gem in Hawaii! The staff was amazing! Buono!!!

Yelp
I'd give them 3.5 starts if I was able. The only but the biggest thing that made me rate 3 instead of 4 was the pasta not being cooked Al Dente. Everything else was great. However, it is very important for me that the pasta is cooked right especially at an Italian restaurant. Not sure if it was serviced right after it was cooked - that could have changed the doneness of the pasta, too. The nice antique interior and great service. Insalata Della Casa was a nice size green salad and the dressing was very tasty. Spaghetti Tutti Mari was excellent except for the pasta overcooked as mentioned above. I don't mind coming back here and give it another try maybe with different menu items.

Devan C.

Yelp
If I could give this Italian restaurant six stars, I certainly would. It is, without question, the best dining experience I've had on the island. From the exceptional staff to the exquisite cuisine, every detail is thoughtfully curated. The dessert platter, in particular, was a delightful surprise and a perfect conclusion to a memorable meal. I first visited a week ago, and I've already returned three times since. Gabe's warm hospitality makes you feel as though you've been lifelong friends, while TJ's extensive knowledge of the menu adds an extra layer of appreciation to each dish. Kaia's welcoming demeanor truly makes you feel like part of the family. Having frequented Arancino in the past, I'm thrilled to have discovered this gem, thanks to an Instagram ad. It has undoubtedly become my go-to destination for Italian dining on the island. & might I add, it has a very cute aesthetic as well.

Joyce J.

Yelp
I enjoy this quaint little restaurant. The food is so delicious and the service is great. Some of my favorites are veal limone (as well as the other veal choices), scallops and linguine in a saffron cream sauce, and their tiramisu iIs heavenly.

Kristi S.

Yelp
First time here and we had such an amazing experience. Excellent service, very accommodating with substitutions. We had mussels, shrimp, Caesar, veal, pasta and desserts. Every thing was delicious! Can't wait to go back

JustineChris M.

Yelp
Baci under new management is not that good. Food was overpriced and underwhelming in quality. The empty tables should have been an indication. Noodles were rubbery. Quantities were small. Meat in the dish was dry. What a disappointment. Should have just gone to Assaggio's, half a block away. I won't be back.

Yelp
We love the ambiance, food, and customer care. The food and drinks were all delicious. So delicious that we didn't even take any pictures like we usually do. Presentation was great. We ordered the beet salad and squid ink pasta with saffron sauce. Also ordered the Caesar salad and gnocchi. Yum yum yum! We will definitely be back. The staff was also very knowledgeable and friendly which is what you want when you are going out to eat with friends and family. They have a good selection of drinks and desserts too! We had Negroni, wine, port, French Martini and tiramisu (made in house). Reservations would be good to ensure a table with no wait time. This will be our go to Italian place in Kailua!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience. I lived in Kailua for almost two years but never had the opportunity to dine at Baci. I am here on vacation and put Baci on my to do list and I was not disappointed. I did not realize I needed reservations and we truly lucked out and were able to get a table. The service was excellent and I loved the atmosphere. My dish was excellent. I would visit again!!!

Yelp
Hawaii doesnt have too many great Italian restaurants but this place def cooks to impress. The small intimate atmosphere was great for work meetings or date night. Only downside of this place is the terribly bad parking and tight spots. Very limited spots and super tight. But hey at least free parking!! To start the fresh bread was a great start with their whipped butter- i mean most places serve some poorly made bread... but no this one is hot and crusty but soft in the middle. We had the oso bucco and the Lobster Ravioli along with some other appetizers. I couldnt say one this was bad there. The portions are a little smaller, but about normal for a higher class restaurant. The oso bocco was fall off the bone, with a deep earthiness and sweet taste but not sure sweet. Also the lobster ravioli was super rich- heavy cream and butter- as expected with lots of lobster meat. Cant wait to return!

Yelp
Came here on a recommendation from a friend. So glad we did. As soon as we had their hot bread with vinegar and oil, I knew dinner would be good. The bread was hot and chewy with a slightly crispy crust. For our main course my husband had the Pappardelle Del Campo and I had the trout special. My husband's dish was so tasty. Served in a bowl with the meaty sauce over thick chow fun-like noodles. My trout was tasty and not fishy. The sauce was a tomato-based sauce with capers. So good! And the best part, they use freshly grated-at- your-table parmesan cheese. I ate it my whole meal! And it was a good size. The icing on the cake: service was amazing. From the host, to the bus boy, to our waiter, to the owner. Everyone made us feel so welcomed and valued. We live in Aiea and we will definitely be back. Sorry no pics. We were so excited to eat I forgot to take pictures. Trust me, though, the food is awesome!

Yelp
Wow what a gem in Kailua!! Best Italian food I've had on Oahu in a long time. I think everyone agreed that the Linguine Nere con Capesante was the winning dish of the night. The scallops were cooked absolutely perfect and were deliciously hot and soft. The sauce was so delicious too. Literally every dish was incredible though. I was expecting the calamari to be rubbery but it wasn't at all! Reservations are a must because it's very busy even on a weekday night. Service was good but our waters went without refills for a while. Overall, the food and the vibes were outstanding. Amazing value for high end Italian food.

Yelp
The food is always delicious and the service wonderful. We brought guests to celebrate a birthday and they loved everything. They said they will definitely be coming back.
