This is the perfect spot to visit Solomons Island by boat. Complimentary boat slip, the most amazing coconut oatmeal cookies upon arrival, and the charm of this waterfront Inn are certainly cause for a return trip. We brought our electric scooters and they were perfect for getting around the island. Love this new spot!

We stayed in the Lavender Cottage, it was private, clean and had it's own screened in sitting area. Carol and Leah were so friendly and welcoming. The gardens were well maintained and gorgeous. We were visiting family and used the sitting area in the main house after dinner to spend time catching up. We'll definitely be returning in the fall.

We had the most wonderful stay at this cozy, old-fashioned inn. It's in a tranquil corner of Solomon's Island that is still close to all the main attractions. The staff were extremely kind and attentive, the lodgings were very comfortable and clean, and the yard was brimming with beautiful flowers, birds and views. Highly recommend!

We stayed for a few days. The grounds are beautiful. Close to everything especially restaurants we could walk. Pillows were good usually they're bad. Goodie basket was a great touch. Coffee in the morning was perfect. We loved sitting on the porch.

Amazing stay with lovely staff and awesome views. It is great for couples to enjoy and just a small walk from the island restaurants and shops! We absolutely loved getting to relax by the dock with some great refreshments. The staff was accommodating to our every need!

A hidden treasure in Southern Maryland. The gardens were fantastic, the views amazing, and walking access to Solomons Island great. You can park and unload the car and not have to drive until you leave.

Back Creek Inn offers an exceptionally friendly, comfortable and peaceful experience in any season. My wife and I have been coming to the Inn for quite some time and each visit seems, somehow, even more enjoyable than the last. We stay in the Lavender "Cottage" but other guests tell us the other rooms and the new "house" are equally good fits for others. Everything is very clean and well maintained...including the gardens, the views, and the pier into the Patuxent River with working watermen and leisure sailors that always leave us calmly planning our return.

We had an absolutely LOVELY stay at Back Creek Inn! First, the room we stayed in (Tansy) in the main house was perfect: peaceful, quiet, beautiful, with easy access to the kitchen, sitting room, and dining area. We were greeted with a basket of goodies including gluten free chocholate chip cookies! We loved having easy access to coffee, hot water, and tea in the main kitchen whenever we wanted. We were also able to keep a small bag in the fridge, which was super helpful for our day trips! The breakfasts were absolutely amazing. I still can't believe there were gluten free options for toast, english muffin, and cakes; the owners were so careful to prepare foods that didn't contain allergens. The grounds are incredibly peaceful and overlooking the water. We were within walking distance to everything on Solomon's Island, all the shops and restaurants on the waterfront. We were also a short drive to many attractions including hiking at Calvert Cliffs and Flags Pond, the Annmarie Sculpture Gardens, Historic St Mary's City, Leaonardstown, several wineries, and biking trails as well. The owners were very helpful in making suggestions of where to go. Also, Carol is a fine artist and the inn is adorned with many of her paintings which are absolutely stunning! This was a great little vacation, and we can't thank Carol enough for hosting such a lovely stay.

Yelp
Our room was homey and comfortable. We had a fridge, small tv, hairdryer and a sweet welcome basket with homemade banana bread and snicker-doodles. We enjoyed looking at the owner's beautiful paintings in the main house where coffee and tea is available every morning. This property is located within a short walking distance of a Catholic Church that overlooks the Chesapeake Bay. Lots of walkers and bike riders all over the town. A quiet place to rest in between sightseeing and boating in the area.

Yelp
I am currently in Tansy and I love this room, it's so quiet and nice. Paula's breakfast will make you wanna take her home with you! Everyone has been nice, the room is super clean and comfy. I highly recommend this place of you want a simple getaway. I'm definitely coming back and renting the cottage or peppermint!

Yelp
Stayed here last weekend with my husband & our friends and we absolutely loved it. The inn and grounds were lovely. Beautiful flowers all around the gardens and plenty of trees offering shade on the patio. The house was cozy and so quiet you wouldn't know there were other people staying there. The location was great. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Carol & the staff were lovely. They were all super friendly. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the eggs Benedict alone was worth the stay! An absolute delight from start to finish. Truly. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Really enjoyed our stay at Back Creek Inn. Walking distance to anywhere important on the island or on the main land. Cute communal space and easy access in and out of those areas. Beautiful well cared for garden all around the property. Hostess was lovely, price was affordable and resulted in a great get away for a night. Breakfast was also wonderful. A great place to stay if you are going to Solomons, MD.

Yelp
Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend here for my husband's birthday (...in March - why no, I'm not slow to Yelp). We stayed in Tansy, which was very cosy; small bathroom, but that didn't bother us. Beautiful, peaceful setting and a very classy B&B atmosphere. The owner was kind enough to show us some of the unoccupied rooms; next time we may upgrade to one of the cottage-style rooms with the tubs. I took some knitting out to the end of the pier and sat out there for a while watching boats come and go to neighboring properties - what a wonderful way to spend an evening! Breakfast was tasty too - tell them when you book your room if you're not a meat/egg eater, though. I forgot to, and they still did a wonderful job accommodating me. It was an easy, comfortable walk to the waterfront area and several great places to eat were nearby as well. I'm always on the lookout for vacation spots where I don't have to drive much to enjoy the area, so I was thrilled by how easy and fun it was to get around on foot. I think this might be my idea of heaven. I'm already plotting a return trip for the fall.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to make a long weekend to Solomons Island we had never been before but heard lots of good things about it. I went online to find a bed and Breakfast and found Back Creek Inn. This is a must Carol and her staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were very lucky to get a room they had a cancellation and got the last room. It's right on the water and everything you need is in walking distance. A very relaxing place. They have many outdoor spaces to relax and have a cocktail or read. Breakfast was awesome. If your looking for a fun couple hour sailing look up Compass Point Charters in Leonardtown MD about 20 min ride. We have already booked another stay. Back Creek in is awesome. Enjoyed Solomons island.

Yelp
Not very welcoming B&B. We felt as if we were intruding on the owners. Stayed in the Thyme room. Facilities were nice and comfortable. Location to Solomon's was good. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Only available between 8:30 and 9:30. Might be OK for the early risers, but we were on vacation and not in a hurry to get going. Most B&B's offer self-serve at least till 11:00. Will try something else next time.

Yelp
We just came home from a weekend at the Back Creek B & B, and it was wonderful. The home is beautiful, but it's also very comfortable. A great place to relax. A buffet breakfast this morning consisted of eggs Florentine, baked French toast, crab quiche, homemade biscuits and jelly and fresh fruit! It couldn't get any better. We had a chance to get to know Carol, the innkeeper, and Amy. They both had a gift for making people feel at home. Although it rained for most of the weekend, it was still a great time of relaxation. The grounds are beautiful, and we wish it had been dry to sit out on the deck and down by the water. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Stayed here for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. The location is right in the middle of the island. We walked from one end to the other and stopped at several spots along the way. The staff was awesome. The breakfast was eggs Benedict and fruit and it was delicious. The price was reasonable too.

Yelp
What a find! A very short walk from the main road takes you to a delightful B&B. Carol, the hostess is not only a cool lady, she is a great artist. We stayed in the Lavender Cottage, a seperate 'house" complete with a tiny screened in porch to rock, sip your wine and look across beautiful fowers to the water. A trip thru the kitchen prior to dinner resulted in a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie right off the cooling rack! breakfast was wonderful with lots of fresh ver's and home made jelly. I want to go back SOON!
