Good affordable hostel. The bathrooms were clean and empty at all times. The kitchen is well equipped and there's a 7-11 just across the street so you can have anything you need in no time, without spending a lot if money. The beds have curtains, which is perfect for privacy. Also you can get more pillows for free. On the other hand, the bunk beds move a lot and the mattress is very thin.

I booked for 2 nights. Both nights i had to wait for shower. In the mornings i had to wait about 15 minutes to toilet! Annoying! Apparently they have not enough showers and toilets per beds. Also the shower rooms are very small (like 1x1 m). and there’s hot showers at certain hours. And one more thing, there are cameras everywhere, even in the hallway of the toilet and the shower. The camera is aimed at people coming out of the shower and ppl brushing their teeth. Creepy!

The hostel is nice and not far from Taichung train station. The common space on the first floor is big. The bed is comfortable and extra pillow are free of charge. I stayed during January but I didn't feel the blanket warm at all. The bathroom is clean but just fine

This is the cleanest hostel I've stayed at. The Staff work hard to maintain cleanliness. The atmosphere is quiet and serene in the dorms. It's conveniently located downtown. I did not like being harassed while I was there. Some of the staff assumed I couldn't pay for my nights, even though I paid for everything up front. They wanted to know how long I intended to stay and if I had money. That part made my stay unpleasant.

Honestly not sure why this place has gotten so high ratings. 4 nights, Female Dorm, 4th floor experience: - Sunken bed, and creaky wooden frames. Every movement by your bunk mate is felt. - female room but not floor exclusive - shared bathroom with males on the floor - very small toilet booth and bathing area - not sure how often the toilet is cleaned but it’s always so musty - WIFI is bad - hardly any connectivity - Nearest laundry is 750m away, not too bad Common area - kitchen is filled with guests’ stuff, very cluttered. Fridge seems, stuffy. Pros? I guess the 7-11 opposite makes up for it. And Forth Union Miyahara is just around the corner. That’s about it. Service by front desk was very accommodating too for my late check-in. Also gotta note that there are quite a number of pretty elderly people staying there who seems to be long term basis? There was always this elderly man who makes breakfast at around 10am during my stay. So it’s not really a youth backpacker hostel if that’s what you’re looking for.

Hostel with very nice location in front of 7-11 and 5 min walk from train station. Cozy common area where it's easy to meet others backpackers. It has shared mixed bathrooms for both genders so be aware. One thing important for foreign backpackers: local guests will leave very early in the morning (6-7am) and make a lot of noise everyday, also cleaning staff will absolutely violate the room at 11 with a vacuum cleaner and turn off ac until 3. So be aware if you're someone waking up easily and want to sleep in.

Generally ok but beds poorly isolated, small living room compared to the size of the hostel, poor WiFi

Seriously - a private hotel room is the same price as a dorm here. At the very least provide WiFi that works. No connection the whole time I stayed. Password never worked - it wouldn't connect. Very poor for a hostel
