Backpackers Bamberg

Had a lovely time at this hostel! It was clean, cosy and all of the facilities were in very good order. Our double room was very comfortable and we slept well. Everything you could need - the kitchen is well equipped and with space to relax, and you can do your laundry here too. The staff were relaxed and helpful. Its well located for visiting the medieval town centre (about a ten minute walk). Others in our group who stayed in a hotel that cost twice the price visited us and said they would happily choose this place next time.

Great place near the Bahnhof and city center! We felt comfortable in the rooms and around the hostel. There were disinfectant spray In the room! The three of us were put in a 6 bed room but it was just us! The owner was available when we arrived and we called it! The kitchen and outdoor terrace were nice size, open space, and cozy. We only stayed one night but I would stay there again!!!

An awesome small family-run hostel - way cosier than you would guess from the entrance through a parking lot! Very clean room and well maintained, fully equipped kitchen with nice hang-out space and even a roof terrace. The owner is committed to making your stay enjoyable and helps out with all kinds of small things. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful hostel in Bamberg. Really sympathetic and warm hearted people working there. The place is always clean and the rooms are very comfortable!! Good price! I lived good moments with the crew there. I just can say thank you very much for all! Love that place!!!

Unfortunately I didn't feel comfortable in this hostel. While I can't complain about the facilities and equipment of the place I found the owner Pano obtrusive. My travel companion and me, both women, share this negative impression. It's not just that he constantly engaged us in conversations, he also made remarks with sexual connotation several times. I assume that as a man you will be fine in this hostel, but as a woman you might want to look for a different place to stay in Bamberg.

Decent place with a good price rating and very good location to get everything done what you want to do. Staff is very nice. Only downsides were that some people were incredibly loud late at night and the main men's bathroom did not look as nice as any of the others. The kitchen was very nice as well, free coffee and all. The fruit trees and hop plant were also a very nice sight.

Beds were pretty good and comfy. The hostel had a complete kitchen built in which was very good since you don't have to go and grab food every day you can just cook your own. The douches on the other hand were not that good. The water had a lot of pressure and it also wasn't that clean.

There are many reasons to love Bamberg but, among all of them, two speak dearly to our hearts: beer and The Backpackers Hostel. Once there we really feel like we’re home and, although their rates are more than fair, that’s a priceless feeling. The accommodations are comfortable and everything is clean; the restrooms, even though are shared, are disposed in a way that one can have a fair share of privacy; the kitchen has everything one needs - and that includes proper glasses for your beer; and if you’re in the mood, you may even wash and dry your beaten clothes; last but not least, there’s the staff, that is loving and flexible. What can I say? Me, my wife and our furry daughter love Pano and feel most welcome every time he’s around. All of that in a great location where you may have everything you need and tourist spots only a short walking distance. So we’ve been to this hostel before and hope to come back many many times in the future.
