The staff is amazing! They make you feel at home and have a strong grasp of the area and what wonders it has to offer. The facilities were extremely clean and bikes were available to use free of charge for guests, a huge plus. The beds were very comfortable and had a great quality drape for privacy and comfort. Perfect for day time napping, it blocked out the light in order to sleep. The showers had incredible water pressure, I've never seen anything like it before, in short loved the stay.

I stayed here 2 nights in the dorm and this hostel is in a great location to check out the island. The bathrooms were clean, the rooms were clean, and the lounge/bar area was really nice and cozy. It was easy to meet and talk to people. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the bed was very uncomfortable for me as there was hardly any cushion. So I didn't get much sleep both nights here. In the dorm you can also hear everyone around you pretty clearly but headphones or ear plugs help with that. Overall a very good hostel for the location and price!

Great location if you are visiting the island but not spending the night on it. Close to the train and the ferry landing. Small, clean and has all the usual amenities. Staff speaks English well and are very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is fun and laid back. Main negative is that there are only a few showers so you will have to wait in line during peak hours.

First, let me thank whole staff for their friendliness and hospitality. This hostel is how all other hostels should be. Very clean, helpful staff, nice bar for a dry throat, separated rooms for a bit of privacy or even tatami sleeping experience for a great price. Amazing view of a part of Miyajima isle (including the floating temple and the floating gate) from the rooftop. Good job!

Excellent hostel in an unbeatable location overlooking the island. Warm welcome and cosy bar area. Very comfortable beds. Could do with more showers. Price is higher than average so including breakfast or towel rental would be nice. They do have free bikes though.

Just a great place 😜 Super staff, nice bar and restaurant. Every convenience (boiled water, microwave...). They made a super video 📹 for the check in ☑ to show you the rules of the house. They have washing machines. The dormitories are nice, but there is also a possibility to sleep on futons in a room with tatamis. They have lockers where a big back fits. They have a rooftop terrace with view on the harbour. Just great ☺ Jr station and harbour very close by walk. Convenience 🏪 store at 5min.

The staff is really nice and the common area is big with a bar to buy drinks or snacks and a microwave to heat food. Most restaurants around close early but there's a 7-11 convenience store with some good food and drink options to tide you over. The beds were good and it was nice having a large locker to store your stuff in but having a key for the dorm door and the locker was a bit annoying because you had to remember to have the key with you. My travel mate accidentally flushed their keys down the toilet by accident (I don't even want to know how to do that) and naturally had to pay a 1000yen fee for the lost keys. The only drawbacks were 1) one shower and two toilets for the entire floor, though you could go to other floors to use their showers; and 2) the walls between rooms are extremely thin. Essentially, it's a large room with dividers put up consisting of curtains or what is essentially plywood. The night we stayed, we had really loud girls on the other side of the 'wall' who weren't respective of the quiet time curfew and would keep chatting up a storm even when asked to be quiet. In addition, many left at around 6am to probably catch the ferry and see the Itsukushima Shrine at high tide (the high tide and low tide times depend on time of year) when you can see it at its most beautiful when the water has all come in. However, no one was very quiet. So it was hard to sleep. Overall, a decent hostel but your experience can easily be ruined by inconsiderate guests.

I spent about 6 weeks here volunteering as a staff member throughout my backpacking trip. Amazing location, amazing staff members, and clean facilities. The bar on the main floor helps bring all the guests together, and the staff is always organizing events to create a social atmosphere. The rooftop is an awesome place to kick back and watch the sunset over miyajima island. Definitely coming back some day!

Yelp
Environment: Ping-pong, free access to guitar, a bar, friendly people, rooftop access to see the ferry? WOW this place literally has EVERYTHING with some of the BEST LOCATION in Hiroshima. This place is NO JOKE. Please please please, consider coming here for the best experience in Hiroshima. It's a little far from Hiroshima Peace memorial; however, if you plan to come to Miyajima island, this one is a NO-BRAINER. I didn't even plan to go to Miyajima island until I found out about where I was staying and took the JR ferry the next day. It was incredible. Service: So polite, so authentic, so nice, this is the real deal in terms of service. A lot of the staff has gone backpacking to cool places like Morocco so they complain understand Western behavior etc.! They are a funny group of people and I love them! Price: About $25 USD or less a night for dorm-style 8 bedroom this trumps any place in Hiroshima especially for its location NEXT TO THE FERRY!

Yelp
Super Clean!!! Very fun!!! Nice rooftop and bar. Bar drinks are pricey but 7-11 is a short walk and they allow you to buy drinks and drink them outside the front door so you can still socialize. This is my favorite Hostel in Japan!! The staff was lovely and i already miss them. I could ask them anything and they were always a big help! Also the hostel is perfectly situated just next to the ferry to Miyajima and only 5 min Walk from the JR. Hiroshima is also just 30 min by Train so for me I would always prefer to stay in Miyajimagushi where there is a better view and a nicer atmosphere. Long Story short: I loved it and i would stay again!!
