First meal after landing in Madrid. And it was absolutely amazing! 🥹 we pretty much ordered the whole menu. My favourite were the Havana beef with plantain (defs get the full for this) and the Iberian pork with bitter orange sauce (taste way better than it sounds). The other dishes we ordered were also really good - the cassava cerviche, octopus, Spanish cured meat, fried mushroom and eggplant parmigiana. 100% worth the money!

We ordered a lot, overall it was very tasty. Eggplant Parmesan- 9/10 Breaded mushrooms - 2/10, the truffle sauce was 5/10 which carried the dish. Grilled octopus- 5/10 Havana shredded beef- 8/10 Iberian pork tenderloin- 9.5/10 Acorn fed Spanish cured ham - 5/10 Also got a t-bone steak burger but it felt more like a smashed burger. 5/10

The atmosphere is very intimate and familiar and less on the cozy side. The perfect place to start a date or a dinner with a friend. I wouldn’t recommend for bigger groups as the seating is limited, but if you want to book in advance, the reservation process was very easy and smooth. The food is made with care and love and served super hot, the hospitality is good, I would recommend for the lovers of tapas and good spanish dishes. I would definitely come back again.

Nice neighborhood bar/restaurant with good food. We had the Setas (mushroom) delicious, followed by homemade (really !) in several variations. At last we had the Pulpo, yummy. The three raciones where for two more than enough if you feel a normal hunger.

TLDR - An absolute gem!!! We were lucky to have the special dish of the day - Puerto Rican rice with fried pork, and the roast veggies is a must order. If we were locals this is the place we would visit often!

Get ready to be wowed by this little hidden gem! The tapas were absolutely outstanding, and if you’re feeling adventurous, I highly, highly recommend the Ropa Vieja Habanera with tostones (fried plantain). As a Cuban, ropa vieja is one of our staple dishes — and I can honestly say Baco & Beto’s version is one of the tastiest I’ve had in a long time (second only to my mother’s!). Don’t skip dessert either — the mascarpone cheese cream with mango is simply divine. Tucked right in the heart of Chueca, this taberna is a definite must-visit!

Taverna Baco y Beto is a delightful spot that combines charm, great food, and friendly service. While the space is on the smaller side, it adds to the cozy, intimate atmosphere, making it perfect for a casual evening with friends or a romantic dinner. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the food. Every dish is crafted with care, boasting exceptional flavors and high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re indulging in their innovative takes on Spanish classics or exploring their creative fusion options, it’s clear that the culinary team knows their craft. The portions are satisfying, and the presentation is just as impressive as the taste. The pricing reflects the quality and attention to detail, making it a fair deal for the dining experience. It’s not cheap, but it’s far from overpriced—perfectly aligned with what you’d expect for the food and ambiance. The service deserves special mention. The staff are warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, striking the perfect balance between professional and personable. Their recommendations are spot-on, and they go out of their way to make diners feel welcome. Overall, Taverna Baco y Beto is a must-visit in Madrid’s Chueca district. Whether you’re a foodie seeking unforgettable dishes or someone looking for a cozy spot with great vibes, this taberna won’t disappoint. Be sure to book ahead—its well-deserved popularity means it fills up quickly!
