My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Bacówka Restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff and loved the warm and festive atmosphere. The service was outstanding. The manager, Agnieszka was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. Before we even had time to settle in, a complimentary appetizer arrived at our table — fresh, and delivered within five minutes. It was such a thoughtful touch! Every dish we ordered was flavorful, and generously portioned. The food genuinely made me crave Polish cuisine all over again — authentic, hearty, and satisfying. One of the highlights was the mulled wine, served in the cutest cup perched over a little candle warmer, adding to the restaurant’s charming, festive feel. Bacówka also has a large section dedicated to hosting parties, complete with a fully stocked bar, making it an excellent choice for gatherings, celebrations, and friends’ nights out. Overall, we had a fantastic time and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Bacówka Restaurant for anyone looking for delicious Polish food, warm hospitality, and a place that just feels good to be in.

My husband and I have been coming to this place since it opened. Still going strong! Love the new decor and the food is still amazing! Our server Marysia was so helpful and recommended some specials which were delicious. I had the Mexican soup and the chicken rolls special and my husband had the Hungarian goulash with beef. She helped make our experience a very special one. We can’t wait to keep coming back to this neighborhood gem.

This restaurant is awesome. Delicious polish food, amazing friendly stuff and beautiful decor. We stop there whenever we are close for some food and recently had ap rivate event in the newer space which turned out to be 10/10. Guests loved the vibe and food. Highly recommend for a lunch dinner or for a bigger party!

Absolutely the best authentic Polish Food in the Northwest suburbs. Amazing and perfectly balanced. Atmosphere is beautiful, very very clean restaurant, with amazing service, and world class food. If you don’t believe me, then stop in and write your own review! I bet you agree with me!

An excellent Polish restaurant, large menu, English and Polish. I liked the ambience, very nice bar area and dining. We enjoyed the Polish Platter. Top notch pierogi and cabbage rolls. Plenty of parking in a safe area. The waitress was helpful too. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing food. Polish cousins but you can definitely find something for everyone. Still is great and Kasia went extra mile today. Wish I can give them more stars. Highly recommend.

The FOOD is fantastic,the drink s Great, however it seems the SERVICE IS ALWAYS LACKING!!!! have been here several times during lunch it was ok but dinner is a whole different animal, and that every time I've come for dinner and have brought at least a group of 5-10 the service is HORRENDOUS......I'VE learned my lesson 😮😪 needless to say after an 1 hour an a half of finally getting our dinners...the food was cold😑 also how unprofessional to come to me and ask me to take my review down while the server who came at exactly 1944 to take our dinner order after I had to signal for her to come to our table for the dinner ORDER S is just UNBELIEVABLE ....AGAIN THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS but NEVER AGAIN😡..Even though My personal view was NOT APPROVED by the OWNER I STAND BEHIND IT., AND LET IT BE KNOW one of the Parties in my group is a Server., which makes me EVEN MORE RESPECTFUL of PEOPLE in Frontline Positions., as well I worked in the Airline industry in a FRONTLINE position for more than 30 years., I Would never Treat Anyone with DISRESPECT!!!!!!!

When visiting "Bacówka" you must go very hungry. Portions are huge! Menu offers variety of all the Polish favorites. Food is delicious, restaurant is very clean, staff is very friendly. It is definitely the "Go To" place. Keep up the great job!

I highly recommend this place in Schaumburg -- it offers delicious Polish cuisine and exceptionally friendly service. One staff member in particular, Agnieszka, really stands out. We love polish food! Everything looked so good online and we're so surprised by the atmosphere here. We came on a Friday to live music and loved that they were open later than other places in the area. The staff were all so nice and welcoming. It feels great to be welcome with a smile! Natalia helped us with hard decisions across such a vast menu. All the options looked so good. After receiving our sampler plate and perogies, we knew we'd have to come back! Only problem is do we order the dish we know is so good or try something else that looks amazing. What a great evening! Thank you for fantastic food and vibes for our evening!

Amazing! Beautiful restaurant down to every detail. The design of the restaurant - even the bathroom was one of the most beautiful bathrooms I've seen. I took some coworkers there as they've never had Polish food. But when in Illinois, I feel like it's a must! We found this place because it's one of the few places that opens late. Service was quick and our server was really friendly. Food was absolutely amazing! The four of us all got the Polish Plate. There was so much food that I had to take it back to my hotel. We got the house made fruit punch and it was very fresh - I liked that it wasn't too sweet! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

I like the old decor better. I understand the remodel is trendy but the old decor was neat. I felt like I was in the mountains of Europe. Plus the furniture was way more comfortable. The menus are black and you cannot read them without your phone flashlight. The food is always consistently delicious. Maybe add something new to the menu or specials other than soup? I went on a Tuesday night and the restaurant and bar were empty. The bar always had a constant crowd. I hope the restaurant is still successful. I'll be back because the food is so good, I just wish things hadn't changed. Maybe I am old...ha!

Bacowka is a cool place. Well decorated and hosted by pleasant people. The food was pretty good; meat and potatoes. My wife ordered the Hungarian goulash with a potato pancake and I ordered sizzling pork shoulder with fries. Let me be clear, the food was delicious. We finished everything......eventually ;-) The portions are pretty big, especially the pork shoulder dish. I wish I had a shoulder (or shoulders?) as big as the pig that helped me with my nutrient intake. There were three-ish well seasoned pork steaks. The goulash dish was a reasonably/"regular" sized dish. We took some home, but that is normally expected. In the end, we're going to go back and I recommend that you check them out. Just understand that you will leave with a full belly and lunch for the next day. The only, subtle issue is that the pork shoulder was not sizzling when it arrived. Peace!

I thought long and hard about what Polish restaurant I was going to visit while recently in the Chicago area. I was very pleased with my choice. I came early and was seated in the front area near the door. The woman waiting on me - Agnieszka - was fantastic. She was attentive but not too much, and she was very friendly. The world is small and it turns out that I know someone she's related to - it turned into a fun conversation. I haven't been to Poland for a while, so I was looking for something traditional to bring me back to those days. I ordered Kwasnica (the sauerkraut soup) and it was delicious and served it a beautiful little hanging soup bowl. For my main I went with the Kotlet Schabowy, because what is more Polish than that? The surowki accompaniments were delicious, and I took my left overs with me. That was probably the biggest kotlet I've ever seen in my life, and it immediately reminded me of my downstairs neighbor when I lived in warsaw who would pound kotlets every sunday morning!!! My only regret is that I didn't try the oscypek! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and I felt really comfortable here. Even with my poor Polish language skills I felt at home here.

The atmosphere is great. The food is great. The service is not good. I was ignored for 20 minutes before my order was taken. Plus all of the "regulars" received bread where I was treated as a unworthy. The place is fine. The servers tend to ignore you unless you speak Polish Not fun

This was our first time coming here. I'm no stranger to Polish food, so I wanted to try this place out since they close a lot later than other places. We went this past Saturday, it was someone's party so it was pretty busy. I'm not sure if they're normally that busy on the weekends. We got seated right away. You can tell it's authentic since most of the customers plus the staff speak Polish. Pro tip: if there is a language barrier, pull out that smart phone you always have and look up Google translate. Should not take that long to pull up. It did take some time for us to receive our food because of the ongoing event, that's understandable. They're also severely understaffed, so they didn't expect a multitude of people coming in after 8 pm. For every table that left, it seemed like 5 groups of people would come. We ordered a variety of food to try. Food portions were very generous and huge. Prices were very fair for what you get, but what they charge in person is different from their website prices. Be aware of that. Service was lacking, we had to keep flagging down someone. However, it could be different if it was on another day. FYI, there is a 12% sales tax in addition to the 3% surcharge. Not sure why the sales tax is so high since I've eaten at other restaurants in that area. Unfortunately, I'll have to give them a 3 out of 5 due to the price disparities (in person from online), high sales tax, and mediocre service. -hot tea 3 - good tea and they offer you a nice selection of different flavors. However, $5 is so much for just hot water and a tea packet. -red borscht with dumplings 5 - traditional Polish soup. It's red beet soup with meat dumplings. Dumplings were very good. Meat wasn't dry. -potato pancakes 5 - crispy and moist. Good flavor. -pork hock 5 - ridiculously tender and juicy. Cuts off the bone easily. Star of the show. -pork shoulder 3.5 - it was sizzling when I received it but the meat seemed to be kind of tough. I usually like my meat tender but this one seemed a little overcooked. I just took some screen shots to show their official website prices are $2 cheaper than what they charge in person.

I order pork shoulder and they delivered some sort of ground meat with mash potatoes. Tried to tell me it was pork shoulder. Had to speak to three person before I got someone that bearly knows English. I didn't eat it didn't,know what it was. First he said it was grounded pork cutlets but then he said it was pork shoulder. I paid $86.20 for ground pork. I also didn't get the baked potato I ordered. Clearly it's ground pork not hammered. Tried to call you and you're not there. I didn't make up that picture it was what you had delivered to me.

Had the polish plate.Polish stuffed cabbage potato pancake, sauerkraut kraut meat periogi. I think the mashed potatoes were instant . Could have used butter and seasoning . I really like the stuffed cabbage in a wonderful creamy tomato sauce . I tried someone mushroom gravy it was good. I haven't been in a while and they remodeled. Very spacious. When we came it wasn't busy there was a bit of snow . Mushroom soup was great 10 a bowl . They had fresh bread with a meat spread for a comp starter . We had a big group and asked for separate checks. For some reason they couldn't do that. Our server was not that great. I've been here before fourth time service was excellent. We had a big group and I guess our group asked for separate checks but she said we can't because we made a reservation . Not sure why since we were the only ones in the dining room for the two hours we were there. The food was good but did come out tepid. I carried out the steak tartar and liver and onions for my son. The tartar was delicious I had a bite. Liver was pretty good. Did I mention how good the bread is . The restaurant remodel is a mix of this n that nice and clean. The other people that worked there were very friendly . The menu looked amazing I'll have to come back and try the duck and pork cutlet. The crepes looked incredible . The restaurant had pony chairs and a taxidermy dream which they no longer have. I like the new decor

Bacowka is a great find. Don't let the unassuming strip mall location fool you; the inside is charming and the food is outstanding. We kicked things off with some refreshing Polish beers--Zywiec and Tyskie--which were the perfect start. The service was friendly and attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the pierogies, which were perfectly cooked. For our main courses, we tried the fried pork cutlet, the sizzling beef livers, and the Polish plate. Every single dish was a winner. I'd happily order any of them again and definitely plan on coming back.

The best Polish restaurant in the City! The food? Incredible. The pierogi were soft, flavorful, and clearly handmade--especially the potato and cheese ones, which melted in my mouth. The bigos (hunter's stew) was hearty and rich, with just the right balance of tang and spice. What really stood out, though, was the attention to detail. Every dish was beautifully presented, and you could tell the chefs take real pride in their craft. The portions were really BIG, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive--something that made the entire dining experience even more memorable. You can tell they truly care about their guests.

OMG!! What a hidden gem this place is!!!! Loved all the food they had! The waitress was so professional as well! Restaurant had a nice atmosphere as well. Spacious and clean place. Went there around 11:30a on Saturday. Lots of customers came to eat here after 12:30p. Will be back again!

Really nice restaurant- the interior and decor is absolutely beautiful. Service was awesome! The food was really good and prices are very reasonable. We came on Wednesday and we had no idea until we got the check that they do crazy Wednesdays and it's $10 off the bill! I ordered pierogis and they were decent! Especially liked the potato and cheese ones. The Zapiekanka was delicious! We plan on returning!

This restaurant is located in a strip mall. When you start to walk up to the restaurant, you noticed that they have a nice patio in front of the restaurant the day that I visited it was extremely hot so I chose to sit inside. The inside looks very modern. We chose to sit at a side table in the dining room area, close to the bar. One of my only complaints about this restaurant is that the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. They look great and modern, but they're not very comfortable to sit in. Looking over the menu, they have so many classic and traditional polish dishes. I decided to try their Polish plate. The Polish plate came with a Polish sausage sauerkraut and pierogies and some mashed potatoes and a potato pancakes and stuffed cabbage with meat. I decided to share this plate with my wife. I'm glad that I did because the plate is quite a large portion. The Polish sausage was absolutely delicious and had a nice snap and it was juicy. The pierogies were also very good. The ones that we received seem to be all meat which is my favorite. The potato pancakes were also very tasty not overly greasy. The stuffed cabbage was a little firmer then I was used to but still delicious. The sauerkraut had a sour but delicious taste. The mashed potatoes were also good splitting up with my wife. I still felt very full after sharing this of course was a portion meant for one person, but like I stated, it can easily be shared I feel like it was quite a satisfying dish. I would've liked if it did come with sour cream or applesauce I'm sure that I could have asked for these to be accompanied, but they seemed rather busy and of course there seem to be a language issue. I was fine with just what I received. There is one other I wouldn't even call an issue, but since this place is so authentic, most of the staff does not speak English as their first language, so there is a language barrier. The young girl that came to our table to bring us waters did not speak any English, we were greeted who I assume was either the owner or the manager and even though her English team limited we were able to communicate enough to put my order in. I really enjoyed this place and I would like to try it again in the near future and possibly sit on their patio when the weather is a little cooler. The food is very good and felt very authentic. I definitely think this is a place that you should check out if you enjoy Polish food that is authentic in presentation and flavor.

Food, service and ambience were superb at Bacowka. We honored my 85 year old Father, a Goral with an American Dream, who passed. Marcin helped us pick the perfect menu and worked hard to accommodate our 50 guests when we only expected 30. Such kindness and hustle. Thanks to the team at Bacowka for allowing me to make Dad proud one last time. We will be back for the delicious food, attentive service and beautiful culture of Bacowka.

Absolutely beautiful inside. The decor is rustic and elegant with touches that feel straight out of the Polish mountains. It feels like a warm mountain lodge with the soul of Poland.

I've gone to Bacowka a few times over the last few years. Some visits were with extended family and others with 1 or 2 co-workers. We have always been made to feel welcome. The original part of the restaurant is largely wood paneling. It creates a very homey feeling. The food is great. I have not had anything I didn't like. The cabbage rolls are terrific. The breaded pork is tender and juicy. They have a selection of beers on tap, including Polish options.

Marysia is the best waitress I`ve ever met .I highly recommended Bacowka Restaurant in Schaumburg Illinois. I going 100% next time.

This place is in the middle of a large Polish community and you could tell with all the people speaking Eastern European languages. I felt like the only person who only spoke English there. I was alone and I sat at the bar, they have two there and the look very nice. The decor in this place is pretty nice for a restaurant in a strip mall. The food was really good too. Besides the pork cutlet, I also tried the smalec that is served with bread and pickles (if this is your first dance with authentic Polish cuisine, like me let me tell you about it). It translates as lard because it is pork fat and spices that is traditionally spread on a crusty bread and often topped with pickles. It was very good, I'd definitely look for that again. In addition to my main course, they brought the three traditional salads. Cole slaw, beets, and cucumber salad. All of them were good, but I liked the cucumbers the best. Some smalec, rye bread, and cucumber salad; now that would be a good meal, I might be ready to summer in Warsaw now.

We tried this place after our son recommended it 1st the coffee is $5 with no refills, but the presentation & taste is great. A large cup with a gold saucer & spoon. Brought out complimentary bread, pickles & some sort of meat spread. Everyone in my group had pork or chicken cutlets with either egg or a cheese on them I had the traditional polish plate which had potato pancakes which were good Pierogi's also good Polish Sausage-ok Cabbage roll was large and tasty, idk what was in it but it was tasty & cuts like butter. The sauce was good also Every meal came with a tray of slaws or cucumber or beet salads. I liked the orange slaw it was a little sweet. Tons of food, maybe a little too pricey $142 B4 tip for $5 meals. Charging me $10 for coffee & a refill is a bit excessive It's an hour away so I'm sure we won't be back but I'm glad we went out of our norm & tried this authentic polish restaurant.

The ambiance of the restaurant was immediately very expensive looking at first entry from the lit up drinking menu to geode wall and Dj booth area. Drinks were reasonably priced and attractive looking. My family and I used to come here years ago before the renovation and after revisiting, the food is just as delicious as before. The service was fast and pleasant and I couldn't recommend it more.

The food was excellent. The service was immaculate. The ambience was beautiful and authentic everything from the soup the salad to entree the desserts the quality was amazing. It's definitely worth the trip to go here even if you're from Chicago definitely be going back soon to stock up. This is a hidden gem.

Went there with my dinner club to have the Polish experience unfortunately it was a disaster waitress didn't speak. English brought us stuff we didn't order , we had to keep waving to get extra forks, etc. my girlfriend had a liver dish and she's from Europe and said it didn't taste right we asked for the manager They said there's no manager here. We asked to speak to the owner. There's no owner here at the end. They called up the owner and they said the We know our Food it good if you get something else you can, but you're gonna pay for it. Worst service I've ever experienced and I think I heard from the other reviews. You're fine if you go there if you speak Polish, but if you're American, I think they're prejudice thank you.

The Good: the waiter finally warmed up towards the end. The apple pie was delish, the pierogis so good. The decor was nice and clean. The Not So Good: the food overall was just meh for the price. They weren't too flexible with choices, we got the Polish plate that had potato pancakes they seemed like they were made hours before and not warm and tasted funky. They didn't come with sour cream or applesauce and a one ounce container was 1.50 each are we supposed to eat them plain??? There is something missing here. There's no love in the place. Suggestion: if we buy the pierogi plate let us mix and match 10 of the same was boring

Had a delicious meal last night at Bacowka! We sat at the bar and Kasia was our bartender/server. She was so accommodating, fun and made our evening such a joy. Love the atmosphere here, the food and of course the staff is amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I have added a star to my review, since after my initial review, the owner an I discussed many of the items in my review feedback. I believe the owner is receptive to implementing changes based on my feedback. I hope when I visit there in the future those changes will have a positive benefit. This is probably the 5th time that I have been here. The food is great, the service is good and the beer is exceptional. I enjoyed my meals in Warsaw and was happy to see some good polish food in the US. I can't say this is the most authentic, but I can say that the meals are always great and I have always been happy to stop here when I am in the area. Highly recommended.

Authentic polish food. I finally got to try this place. I wasn't disappointed, food was made fresh and nice selection of beers. Chicken noodle soup was excellent and main course was hot and served by super friendly waitress. Place was clean and upbeat, nicely decorated. If you like polish food this is worth the trip. Amazing food great ambience and Angleszka the best customer service waitress 5 star all the way!!!
