Second time is even better than the first! 🥰 we love this place! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, and the French ambiance is sublime! Franc and Michelle are the best! ❤️

Amazing food and atmosphere. Would definitely go here again! The escargot with bread was so good, and the salmon was some of the best salmon I've had!

Absolutely amazing. My veteran grandpa was recently egged by a bunch of teenagers. The owner reached out offering a meal for him. Neither of us had ever been. The staff and the owners are incredible. So friendly and just make it so you can enjoy your meal. The food was outstanding. I’ve traveled Europe a lot and have never found anything in the states that reminds me of European dinning until this place. You’re not rushed, meals are definitely cooked with love. Our family will for sure be back and spreading the word about this place. If you haven’t been i recommend you give it a try. On another note to the owners: THANK YOU! My grandpa is very quiet he’s the type who likes to soak it all in but this meant so much to him. Made him feel very special. Sometimes it’s hard to get him out of the house as much as we would like and this made his night. Owners who care about our community are so important. I loved getting to meet you Michele!

Best food ever! We came here for our 20 year anniversary and I’m so glad we did! Will come again more often! And for lunch too! The French onion soup really is the best! The wait staff was really friendly, provided wonderful service and…we got the back part of the dining room all to ourselves! We may have spent a few moments dancing in between courses too! Perfect ambiance! Can’t recommend this place enough!

This used to be my family‘s favorite restaurant. However, the owner’s wife makes the experience a crap show. Arrogant, rude, and full of herself with power is how she comes across: In the restaurant, and on the responses to all of these reviews. She cannot take any type of criticism. We had spent thousands in that restaurant before the last time we visited. And I only say that to show that we truly went there a lot. But our time dealing with Michelle was so horrid that we would never visit that restaurant ever again. The majority of the food that we had there was amazing. I understand different people have different palates and not everything will satisfy everyone-but we did enjoy most of the food which is why we kept going. We went for every occasion… Anniversary, birthday, Mother’s Day, you name it we were there. However, when you have a bully who is allowed to run around unstopped, treating people the way that she does… It says a lot about you and your restaurant. I think when you see so many people sharing experiences with the owner‘s wife that are similar, It is time to step back and maybe contemplate that this person should not be representing you and your restaurant; whether it be in the restaurant, in Facebook, food, groups, or your Google reviews. 💯

The cook and staff were great! My meal on the other hand was not. I believe that other dishes are AMAZING, but I must have ordered the wrong meal for me. Dinner for three cost just under $200 plus tip and tip to the cook, tax included; all added to the bill at the end. $240 out the door. Again, if you want a place to impress and wow your other half, go here.

Came here for an anniversary celebration and had a great experience. I had the prime rib special and it was a solid 10/10. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and helpful in suggesting a wine pairing with our meals. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing as well, and the restaurant is VERY clean. Great job to you and your staff. 👍

Wow! What an outstanding experience. The food, service, and fun atmosphere were all top-notch. We attended a drag show featuring the Lipslnc! performers, absolutely incredible talent and energy. Chef Baquet was wonderfully accommodating, and the caring, attentive servers made us feel right at home. The buffet was delicious, with a great variety that exceeded our expectations. The salmon, quiche and all the sides were special. We had such a great time and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
Best dinner in years!! My husband and I went here for our 30th Anniversary and WOW it was AMAZING! The FOOD was exquisite. I love filet mignon and this was literally the best filet I have ever had!! The flavor and green pepper brandy sauce was delicious. It had a slight outer charred texture and the inside was melt in your mouth butter! Speaking of bread and butter, they serve the fresh butter in a scallop shell! The attention to detail and exquisite food along with intoxicating music and decor, along with the most adorable attentive servers- Casey and Savannah are unforgettable! We ended our dinner with the crème brûlée and it was simply decadent. Love love love this restaurant! Do not hesitate, go here ASAP!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience! Food: 5/5. Started off with the escargot. I had never had it before but have always wanted to try it and thought "why not". It was great! Still sizzling hot, buttery and quite pleasant! If you have ever wanted to try it, I recommend trying it here. We went on a Thursday when they have Prime Rib which was absolutely delicious! We also got the duck leg which was amazing as well. For dessert, the creme brûlée was top-notch and plated beautifully! Our waitress also recommends a delicious Malbec wine that paired well with our meal. Service: 5/5. Savannah was delightful and so welcoming! Atmosphere: 5/5. We sat on the patio which has a water feature and a great ambiance. Indoors is a completely different, more elevated vibe. I feel like either options makes for a great experience. This was the perfect restaurant for a celebration and a great place for a date night! There were a few older kids, but I would not recommend taking younger kids to this establishment. Looking forward to our next time here!

Yelp
In 2023 I listed Bacquet's as one of the best restaurants in all the places I visited that year That included restaurant visits in Philadelphia, Chicago, New Orleans, Istanbul, and Paris. I had a chance to go back before heading out to Greensboro North Carolina for work and it's as amazing now as it was in 2023. Why I wait so long between visits is beyond reason Whoever was the chef the day I visited made me a spectacular salad. The shallot balsamic vinaigrette was on point. I decided to have escargots and it instantly brought me back to many trips to France. The garlic and butter was just the right amount and while it was splendide, having the ACME bread to soak up every drop afterwards was the proverbial icing on the cake. Our service was professional and timely. Nous avons la chance d'avoir Bacquet's à deux pas de chez nous. C'est une vraie cuisine française, préparée et présentée avec soin.

Yelp
We loved every minute of this experience! We were greeted by Michelle Bacquet, the owner. She was charming and so sweet. We mentioned it was our first time visiting and they really rolled out the red carpet from there. We met our waiter at the bar and he helps us choose a glass of wine. I enjoyed a chilled glass of Vouvray and my husband loved his glass of Les Janelle Cabernet Sauvignon. They were offering a Prime Rib and the Veal Saltimbocca as their specials. I got the Veal which was presented with fresh mozzarella and crisped prosciutto in a lemon sauce with a side of handmade fettuccini noodles and cooked asparagus and carrot. I was wowed by the flavor of this sauce and was pleasantly surprised by the generous amount of veal offered on the plate! Definitely worth the price, I was so full. My husband enjoyed their Duck Confit which was cooked in a red wine base, served with Au gratin potatoes and cooked asparagus and carrots. He also had a generous helping of duck that included a thigh and a drumstick, well worth the price for us. I had a salad (not pictured) and loved the balsamic on top, it was sweet and did not overpower the dressing. We also had the Porcini Purses which were served hot and they were delicious and also had dabs of balsamic for us to indulge in. Lastly we had the chocolate mousse to share and it was very airy and tasted like a rich chocolate Ghirardelli brownie but in a light pudding texture. We loved it! Every ounce of this experience was worth it, and we decided we will be back, and with more guests. Thank you for your hospitality and delicious food.

Yelp
A charming atmosphere with exquisite food and exceptional service. Elevated French bistro. Some of the best escargot I've had. The crab fest was delightful!

Yelp
Excellent service, a friendly chef, along with superb food lead to this 5-star rating. Beautifully prepared and well presented. The French onion soup truly was the best I "never had". The duck was tender and juicy. The vegetables with penne were delicious. Generous servings. The ambience is small French bistro -- it is quiet and comfortable. Definitely one of Boise area's best.

Yelp
This is my FAVORITE restaurant and has been for 15+ years!! We moved away ten years ago and haven't eaten there since; my husband's birthday was a few days ago so I decided to surprise him and celebrate his birthday here. We flew in Wednesday morning, had dinner that night and flew out Thursday afternoon. The food is still just as amazing as I remembered it!! The restaurant had moved since we were there last and I loved the new location and decor. The service was amazing and I love that it is European style. The table is yours for the evening. No one is rushing you and you ask for the check when you are ready!! We started with escargot, which is to die for; so buttery and delicious. I had the Duck Legs and my husband had the Lamb. We ended up Bread Pudding and an Apple Tart. I highly recommend this place!!! Sorry, pictures don't do the food justice!!

Yelp
Delicious dinner, but prepare for a wait. Maybe the wait was intentional but large parties seated--and who ordered after our table of three--were served before us. We had the duck flat bread appetizer (very good), salad/soup. Dinner arrived 1.75 hours after we were seated (early reservation so not so busy when we were seated). My rack of lamb was delicious--especially the sauce. My husband and friend enjoyed the salmon's sauce and the veal.

Yelp
I received an email from Bacquet's stating that 4 seats came available for their "Drag Show". I replied that I go to Bacquet's for good food not to watch a Drag Show. The following was their reply. (I have removed the swear words). Date: On Wed, Apr 30, 2025 at 5:59 PM Subject: Fw: Re: Bacquet's French Restaurant sent you a message. Restaurant Bacquet's French Restaurant (logo went here) Quote: "I will never understand why people like you think your opinion is so important. I could give a damn in you like it or not and am not sure why you continue to respond to something that doesn't apply to you. Frankly, not one of us could give a sxxx what you think. I've already explained this to you in more polite terms. So to be more direct, "fxxx" off and consider yourself trespassed from the property. Are we clear this time? That's a rhetorical question." To respond to this message, reply to this email ------------------- Is this a professional response? We won't patronize this restaurant ever again, nor will many friends. I suggest you go elsewhere. I can supply the email.

Yelp
By far my favorite restaurant! The food was amazing! Presentation was great! The service was fantastic. Our server was very kind and attentive. She had a unique name, Chani. She made our dining experience great. The food is amazing and the attention to detail from the service as well as the ambiance is what makes this a true dining experience. Keep up the good work.

Yelp
Bacquet's is a charming little French restaurant in Eagle with lots of personality. I recently visited the restaurant and enjoyed it so much I returned a second time. The first time I indulged in the Hereford Ribeye and it was unforgettably delicious. The second time I tried the Lobster Stuffed Croque Madame which was a Mother's Day weekend special. The Chef recommended pairing it with a White Bordeaux which was perfection! Both meals provided plenty of leftovers. I love that Bacquet's hours accommodate a late lunch or early dinner. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, if they aren't sure of something they find out. I appreciate that Bacquet's allows customers to fully enjoy their meals and there is no rush. Bacquet's has a nice sized patio and now that I receive email updates I found out that they sometimes feature live music. What's not to love!!!

Yelp
Service was great. Food was good, the creamy asparagus soup was the best part of my meal.

Yelp
Have frequented this incredible place many times over the last couple of years and every visit has been amazing. Their escargot is second to none. The French onion soup is superb. We usually try a different main dish each time and have never been disappointed. Chef Franck and his wife Michelle are very hospitable and accommodating, once inviting us into his kitchen to observe the preparation of fresh Maine Lobster. We recently enjoyed my son and daughter-in-laws wedding reception dinner here and had a great memorable evening. The service was excellent especially for a group this large. Thank you and your staff for an amazing night.

Yelp
Absolutely outstanding food atmosphere service and wine! We highly recommend this amazing restaurant!

Yelp
What can I say beyond SIMPLY FANTASTIC! I live in Salt Lake City. I travel to Boise about every 45-90 days. I do so mainly to eat at Bacquets. Yes, we drive 350 miles each way to go to dinner at Bacquets. I have traveled the world extensively. I love French food. I love escargot. Now, my wife's escargot is the best in the world. Che MuthaFuckah Franck's are second best. Every time we go, the service is impeccable, the atmosphere is amazing, when there has been live music it fit the ambience perfectly. I always look forward to heating the specials. Last visit I had the veal saltimbocca, which was the special. It did not disappoint as it stayed in line with the excellence of everything Franck does. Two visits ago I was there to enjoy the Clam Chowder....sheesh, I'm picky about Clam Chowder. It was the best I've had. 3 days after my Mom died in September of 2022, my Dad flew in from Montana, I rode in from Salt Lake City, and my wife flew in from Colorado, JUST so we could have dinner and a bottle of Rosè Dom Perignon. It would have been the perfect meal for my Mom. Ok, I'm rambling. Bacquets is in the top 5 best restaurants, not in Boise, but the world. Go there now. You will feel like family. It's amazing.

Ricker L.

Yelp
Ambiance was great, food is delicious. Excellent service. The chef came out to speak with us, he is awesome. Definitely will return and recommend. Easiest 5 star review I have done.

Yelp
Truly a superior dining experience with incredible service and atmosphere. The chef/ owner is the real deal. Best food in this end of the valley. Always a great meal and pleasant dining experience.

Yelp
My husband and I both adore this place. The food is excellent, well prepared, and presented. It's a cute little French place. It's a bit pricy, but trust me, it's worth every penny. There's a nice ambiance in the restaurant. It's kind of divided into two areas. It seems one side is more for those interested in listening to live music, large groups, etc., while the other side is a bit more intimate. We've dined here a few times, but we've also ordered pick-up a few times, too, often for lunch. And, speaking of lunch, their clam chowder is non-traditional and unexpected, but in the best way. I would say it's one of the most delicious I've ever had and I've had a LOT of chowder in my days! As for eating in, we've ordered the prime rib (melt in your mouth level), seafood flatbread (yes, seafood flatbread - decadent!), the scallops (yes please), French onion soup (lovely and warming - my hubs fave), and a few other nibbles. PS - the service is awesome. They check on you, are courteous and polite. Always on top of everything and double-checking that you're pleased with their service and food. It feels good to be treated so well. I appreciate the staff, chef, and all of their hard work. The layers of flavors in their food, the slow simmers, and long roast times are all much appreciated. I whole-heartedly recommend this place for any special occasion, date night, small gathering, or just an extra special lunch (which is always served with a small baguette and salad). You won't regret it. There is also a lovely patio in the summer.

Joe U.

Yelp
Deeply impressed from the moment we walked in. We haven't been to Bacquets since well before the pandemic (years). The place expanded and looks amazing. It's like walking in a French restaurant on the Champs de Laison. From the moment we walked in we were greeted fast and service was impeccable. Often 2 waiters and the owner would check on us. We had both specialties: a seafood pasta served and a seared sole with potatoes and veggies. The service I can't say enough of. I haven't had service like this in Eagle, in Boise, hell even through the PNW as I lived in Seattle. This is the best restaurant in Eagle for fine dining... full stop. They out do a lot of existing and failed restaurants: Coynes. Crave, Bella Aquila, even Barbacoa. Matter of fact I'd prefer not to even give such a stellar review since I'd like it all to myself.

Bradley C.

Yelp
I've had 8 or 9 meals here lunch and dinner. And I've never been disappointed. This is fine French dining and you need to be prepared for an experience. This isn't cookie cutter assembly line food this is good at a slightly slower pace.
google avatar

Freya A.

Yelp
Delicious and authentic French food. Love the seafood platter down to every bite. They have a nice beer selection for those of us who don't like wine. Love the ambiance in this restaurant- decorated super cute with great lighting. The owners are super nice and have always had great service here. Happy to have such an awesome place walking distance from our house.
google avatar

Shannon C.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best French restaurants I've been. The escargot is to die for! A definite must to try. We were told the recipe was originally grandma's recipe and has 16-18 ingredients. Next up was the beef stroganoff and duck. While both were delicious the beef stroganoff hit all the rights spots. For dessert we had the croissant bread pudding. I'm normally not a bread pudding fan but I made an exception for this one!
google avatar

Jordan K.

Yelp
This place deserves beyond 5 stars! We were at a loss for words over this absolutely incredible food. I don't think you can find food this amazing elsewhere in the treasure valley. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
16 JUN 2024 Father's Day BBQ plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoors. Pre-plated all you can eat. But 1 plate was more than plenty.

Yelp
Outstanding dinner at Bacquet's tonight. Our first visit. Service was great. Ordered the escargot. It was wonderful. What we expected. I ordered the lamb and it was cooked to perfection, medium rare. My husband had the veal and he ate it to the last drop...outstanding. We will be back.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I had read an article about the chef and had been dying to try it out. It definitely lived up to the authentic French charm I had read. The waiter was very knowledgeable, formal, and I loved how he took us back to the bistro to try their selection of wines before dinner. The food was exquisite; from the beautiful presentation to the taste. My husband had the prawns and I had the rack of lamb. The prawns were so beautiful in their shells and my husband enjoyed every last drop of the buttery sauce they came in. The lamb was so tender and the perfect flavor and complemented so nicely with the veggies and potatoes. The crème brûlée was the perfect touch to end the meal. Will definitely be coming back again!
google avatar

Nicco M.

Yelp
Okay. My wife suggested I do this because to be honest I normally wouldn't. We dined at Bacquet today and saw a table of a larger party being very rudely mistreated by the owners wife. This was our first time in and I've read her review and I have to say, we were very uncomfortable watching the way the owner behaved. The young lady and her family were very shocked and I felt embarrassed for them. And who cares if they are from California, my wife and her family are from there and to hear that from the owner- yikes. Food was pretty okay but we have a bad taste over the management.

Amy S.

Yelp
Love the Paris Cafe feel and the food was excellent! They have a sweet little wine tasting bar where you can choose wine by the glass to accompany your meal. I plan to return on a Thursday evening when they have live entertainment.

Yelp
Love this little neighborhood French restaurant.. great food, always changing. We have been back to this restaurant many times.

Yelp
Great service and great, finely-prepared food. A little pricey and great for a splurge night out.

Tami P.

Yelp
Food, ambiance and service was excellent! We were traveling through the area and there's no way we would have found this little gem without the help of Yelp! Our waiter even gave us a little lesson on Basque history when we inquired. We will definitely be going back ext time we are in the area!

Yelp
Top 3 restaurants I go to in treasure valley. Amazing every time. The scallops au saffron is one of the best dishes I've ever had, and throw everything you know about salmon out the window because it's the best in the world right here.

Yelp
Eagle's best is right here. Took a visiting family member out for dinner for an early Christmas celebration and we were all in for a great evening of food, wine, and tableside treatment you will not get from any other place around. We took my uncle, who has been all over the World, and used to live in Europe. I knew this would be a pleaser and it did not disappoint. Chef recommended the French onion soup, and we did. My uncle said it was the best he had ever had. That is saying a lot. We also had the escargot. Oh, man, it was to die for. Great presentation with all the tools of the eating trade to get them out. Lovely garlic an butter sauce. Even my picky son liked them. I was also escorted back to the wine area to pick a wine that complemented our meals. The chef also helped here. He didn't upsell me on something I was not comfortable buying, but did give options. We settled on a nice red. All of us enjoyed our meals, the ambiance is pretty nice, and the service was outstanding. I have been a few times now, and I have never been disappointed. If you have a special occasion, or simply want a lovely meal, this is the place. Très bien! 5 Stars

Yelp
From the food to the service, everything was exceptional! French press coffee superb, beef stroganoff out of this world, service and ambience top shelf! Highly recommend.

Yelp
We ate at Bacquet's today when "Akeyo C" was there making a scene. She came to our table and proceeded to rant and rave at us about how we should not eat here. She was very rude and we were pretty embarrassed for her. We have eaten here at least 5 or 6 times and have loved it every single time. Service is always perfect, wine selections always great, and the food is never a disappointment.

Brenda M.

Yelp
Customer service and food very good... Especially Andrew thank you for resolving my question...with kindness and professionalism. Yes I'd go back!

Yelp
The best salmon I've ever had. Service was great. Loved the entire experience, a true gem of a restaurant

Sandra P.

Yelp
An addendum to my review answered by the owners wife. Although we were accused of soiling the ladies room NOT A SINGLE LADY IN OUR GROUP USED THE RESTROOM AT ALL. Not embarrassed just not guilty and now somewhat angry as well as insulted.

Yelp
This is by far our new favorite restaurant in Boise area!! My husband and I went here for a date night last week for the first time and want to go back asap! First off, the ambiance is great! We sat outside by a fountain and were surrounded by beautiful greenery. The inside was super cute as well. The service was impeccable and our food was excellent! We shared the seafood pasta which was absolutely delicious. The waiter recommended a wine to us which did not disappoint :) I have already told several friends about this spot who are looking to go soon and we will be taking my in-laws here when they are in town next month. Highly recommend! I should also note we are both very particular about seafood and my husband normally doesn't like mussels but he ate all of them in the seafood pasta because they were that good.

Mark R.

Yelp
Wife has been wanting to go here since we moved to Eagle in 2022. We went 11/19/24 and boy oh boy we cannot wait to go back. The Service INCREDIBLE the second you walk in. Food incredible and Ambiance to peaceful and intimate. Go to Bacquets today!!!

Yelp
Bacquet's is indisputably one of the Treasure Valley's finer restaurants. Our area falls so short on high-end eateries. The lengths Bacquet's goes to deliver exquisite cuisine in an upscale fashion is not only appreciated but respected. Let's get down to business: My husband and I began our luxurious evening with a bottle of 2016 Chateau Blaignan Médoc ($48.00 a bottle, 55% Cabernet Sauvignon & 45% Merlot). I've only recently jumped on the Red Blend bandwagon (YES that's a thing), so my judgement is soft for now. But I can say I did enjoy each sip and the extra bite of flavor it provided. For appetizers, my husband ordered the French Onion Soup ($15.00). The menu accurately describes it as the "best you have never had in your life." The soup itself came covered by a thick layer of cheese that delivered an oh-so-freaking-satisfying cheese pulls. The taste was fantastic! A lot of flavor but not too onion-y. By far, best version of this soup I have ever had in my life. My adventurous self ordered the Escargot de ma Grand-Mere ($15.00), a Bacquet family recipe. Who knew snails could be so delectable! These were every bit as good as Escargot I've eaten in France and Germany. Truly authentic and a treat you can find this here in Boise. Moving along, we were getting full so agreed to share the Jambalaya (large black tiger prawns, andouille sausage, chicken, fresh vegetables sautéed in a deep, rich sauce with a piece of creole spices. Served with a blend of basmati and wild rice, $34.50). This dish fell a little short of my liking. I really haven't eaten much Creole food so I don't feel qualified to criticize it, but this just wasn't for me. There wasn't a lot of flavor, a couple drops of hot sauce could have amplified it. I personally would not order this dish again, however I wouldn't NOT recommend it because to the more experienced tongue this might be it! Their menu is full of other delicious European dishes. Also, someone remind me to go easy with the appetizers because I really wanted to try some dessert but was way to stuffed. Our total before tipping came too $115.00. If you know fine dining, then you agree is a hell of a deal for a high-end experience. Not to mention the white-glove service is on point! Neither of us had to refill our own glasses of wine. Wonderful servers with fantastic training. Thank you Bacquet's for bringing fine-dining to the Treasure Valley! I will repeat that you have my full appreciation and respect for the outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Can't wait to be back!

Yelp
Delicious food. Great atmosphere and service! We enjoyed our leisure and romantic lunch today.

Yelp
4 & 3/4 stars. Ambiance was lovely, the owner & owners wife was lovely, food was lovely (My bday friend& I just kept it simple this first outing & ordered 2 scrumptious French onion soups as well as desserts.) I was very impressed with how bog the inside actually is (multi rooms)... & outside dining would also be delightful here... even on a sunny & very warm day... plenty of shade & lovely fountains sounds abound!

Yelp
Had an amazing lunch here!! The croque madame and French onion soup were fantastic, and my husband loved his French dip. The French onion soup truly was the best I've ever had, such a rich flavor and so much cheese The ambience and service were also great!! Such a cute place and very unique. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Franc and Michelle provide an authentic classic, yet country French dining experience. The flavors are amazing and my meals have always been at the perfect temperature. He also has a very nice offering of wines and he and his team make good pairing recommendations. Come in the warmer weather and enjoy lunch or dinner on the patio.

Went back for more! This this time I tried the Orange Duck, very good (I had to overcome the guilt of eating such beautiful creatures!), served with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. I was able to make it to dessert this time, and I had to try the Chocolate Mousse, it was excellent! I have been disappointed by so many chocolate mousses that were either too heavy, too sweet, or more like a pudding than a mousse. Not this one, you have to try it, paired with a French press coffee, a perfect duo!

Yelp
I took a friend for a birthday lunch and it was lovely. We ate outside... it was lunch!! My friend had quiche and salad. Excellent on all fronts from her view. I had the ocean flatbread at our waiter's recommendation. Oh, my!! It was wonderful!! We also had white wine which did not disappoint, recommended by our waiter. We shared a chocolate mousse which was good. I would have preferred the whip cream unsweetened... but I forced myself to finish it up . We enjoyed a leisurely lunch for nearly 3 hours. Yes, I would return. Maybe check out the dinner menu next time. Service was great and ambiance....good music was fine as we sat outside
