Bad Ass Coffee

Absolutely great services even they were extremely busy. I had the caramel wave which is caramel and vanilla latte which was delicious. We also bought coffee to go to enjoy at home.

This coffee shop delivers on style and coffee quality, but it’s built entirely for takeaway. The interior is taken over by merchandise, leaving no real space to sit and enjoy a drink. There’s a small patio outside, but the lack of a cozy indoor area was a letdown. I wanted to order an affogato but was told they don’t carry ice cream at all. They do have premade coffee shakes with ice cream—mine was decent, though way too sweet for my taste. The place has a proper coffeehouse vibe, but without a real place to stay and enjoy it, it feels more like a branded coffee kiosk than a full café. Fine for a quick grab-and-go, but not a spot to linger.

I worked at Bad Ass Coffee for six years, the majority as a General Manager, and I personally witnessed the horrifying and unsanitary conditions of the store. There was black mold everywhere in the ice machine, under the counters, in cabinets, around the pipes, and even inside the ice buckets. The store was also infested with roaches. It got so bad that roaches were crawling inside the coffee grinders the same grinders used to brew all of our coffee and iced coffee for customers. I brought this issue to our Regional Manager multiple times and was ignored. Only when I finally stated that we would not be selling coffee until we had a new grinder did I suddenly get a call after previously being completely ignored. The “solution” I was given: I was told to simply clean out the roach-infested grinder with rice. Absolutely not. I refused to serve contaminated product to customers. I ended up going to Target myself and purchasing a small grinder out of my own pocket because the company wouldn’t provide a clean and safe one. One of the worst situations we dealt with was human feces rising through the kitchen floor drains. Not from a bathroom from the plumbing beneath the store. I had to clean this myself multiple times because the company refused to shut down operations or bring in proper sanitation and remediation. As General Manager, I worked relentlessly to get these problems fixed: reporting mold, roaches, sewage backup, leaking pipes all met with indifference. Our Regional Manager consistently refused to help, focused solely on squeezing more money out of the location, and disregarded worker safety and customer health. Eventually, the original owner who hired me was forced out, as the majority stakeholder took over during a remodel. Then, after six years of loyalty and service, every employee was fired one week before Thanksgiving. A brutal, heartless decision right before the holidays. Merry Christmas.

Im a local and am just now hearing about this place! It was pretty on the inside and great vibes all around. It was about 10 AM when I went in so they were super busy and I waited a little bit but it was worth it!! The coffee was super good and its worth supporting a local buisness. The buisness is based around Hawaii and I thought that it was super cool and different. Definitely give this place a try! And even if its busy Definitely worth the wait and the employees all effienticly worked together to get the orders out and were all super friendly.

Woooow!!! Talk about blowing my mind with this coffee… i ordered the caramel wave hot and it was amazing…the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly.. love this place

This is our 3rd year in a row staying in Miramar and this is our go to spot for coffee every year! Great coffee, cool vibes with friendly staff. Large line so get there early but it also moves very fast! See you next year! Thanks Chris & Kat!

I used to really enjoy Bad Ass Coffee, but lately it feels like a completely different place. The quality of the food and drinks has gone downhill, and the prices have gone up at the same time. It no longer feels like the friendly, family-oriented shop it used to be. Very sad what a big corporation has done. I went in today and was shown proof of a termination for all employees. If you have any respect for yourself you will not support this company,

Great coffee! The dude making it could have definitely been friendlier though, maybe he was just having a bad day. We had a couple hot Americanos.

On Saturday morning, I was craving coffee, so I searched the area and found Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii. It opens early, at 6:00 AM, and was 5-minutes from where we were staying. Fortunately, I managed to find parking right in front of the cafe. I went to the counter and ordered a small, hot caramel wave coffee. After discussing the sweetness options with the server, I opted for half sweet. My coffee order arrived in around 7-10 minutes. The coffee was fresh, hot, and perfectly made just how I liked it, less sweet. Great cafe with a wide selection of excellent coffees.

Decided to try something different than the normal Starbucks and glad I did. Bad Ass Coffee just tastes so much better and not burnt. You can mobile order or walk in. Even with them being busy at 6:45AM the line still moved fast and with only one person making the coffee on my visit. Definitely recommend!

This coffee place was to die for. The line was long, but that's how you know that it's a good coffee spot. I don't have any photos unfortunately. But promise you it's good and service was great.

Love this place! Their coffee coolers remind me of a granita I get when I visit Hawaii. It's a frozen coffee drink. Feel free to add a shot of espresso. It's really good without adding any flavors! You have to try it!

This place still has lines that sometimes go out the door. It's amazing really. I came recently with some people on a work trip and I got their banana mocha iced coffee. For 2 of those it was $21 so I guess the price went up significantly since last time I got 4 drinks for $18. Inflation is crazy. They do have a mobile app now if you want to avoid standing in the long lines. The coffees are still a little too sweet for my liking, but you can lessen the sweetness.

We wanted to try the Kona coffee here but the first they line was too long and we were hungry. The second time we walked there and wanted a bag of coffee but the big bags were too much and they were out of the little bags. We ended up buying a cheaper bag of other coffee but at the hotel they didn't have filters for the coffee maker. LOL. We tried!!

Yummy chai latte and decent smoothies. We also got a blueberry bagel that was decent as well. Nothing too crazy about this place but it was good and convenient near the beach. The service was a bit longer than we expected but it got fairly busy at times. Not much room to sit outside but there's some tables next door.

They terminated the entire staff that's all been there for 2-6 years. With one week of notice. Right before thanksgiving. The new owners don't care about anything but money. And they plan to get an entire new staff so they can pay them less. But they don't realize the past employees were equivalent to 2-3 new workers in terms of speed, knowledge, efficiency and service. They barely replied to any of the complaints we all had. One time they asked me to try and stay 6+ hours after my shift instead of ya know. Doing their job and coming in themselves. But this was to wait on a plumber after sewage and feces came out of the drains in the back. And expected me to clean it. And kept all of the food stored in the back area where the back up was as well. I'm so happy they have a job and are getting a fat paycheck for the holidays while everyone else is still scrambling to find jobs and make rent and stress about being able to even celebrate Christmas and such. Worst holiday season ever

Really charming place! Has a merch shop inside. No inside seating but does have outdoor seating. We ordered a Reef Racer (refreshing but very sweet), caramel wave (very sweet), Three Waves with half the sweetness (very flavorful and perfect at half the sugar). Might come back for other flavors. The service was very quick and friendly as well.

Delicious coffee, friendly service, & chill vibes. We had the bad ass mocha & strawberry smoothie. Both were delicious & we're obsessed. We've been coming a handful of times throughout our vacation week. Parking is easy & right in front. Not many spaces but there's more parking next door by Dairy Queen.

I walked here early in the morning, around 7am and beat the rush. I was in & out in 5 minutes with a yummy drink. But driving by later in the morning and even mid day there is a long line. Lots of options, something for everyone.

I ordered ahead with the app and it was ready when I arrived. Hot dark chocolate hazelnut almond milk latte. Loved it!

A mediocre coffee shop but it's the only local option that is close to the area. The coffee itself is mediocre which i wouldn't mind if it wasn't $8 and they charge $1 for a cup of water (not a bottle). I got the ube and maple and there is definitely no ube in there which was disappointing. But the coffee itself was fine. Probably won't be back here, unfortunately

Fun beach adjacent spot to get an iced coffee. Had a latte with dark chocolate. Cold and delicious with good flavor. Price was reasonable. Highly recommend.

Bad Ass is a good local mom n pop style coffee shop that serves a nice variety of coffee drinks, pastries, and more. They have delicious varieties of lattes, classic coffee (Kona brand), lemonade, etc. When we got here in the morning between 11 AM - 12 PM, they had a long line out the door, and we had to skip getting what we wanted. So, we decided to wait till the late afternoon to go here. When we got here in the late afternoon, there was no wait. The shop wasn't busy, which was good for us. We ordered three cold beverages to take them with us to the beach. I ordered a coconut + lavender + lemonade, a latte called 'caramel waves,' and another latte called 'three waves.' All the drinks were good in taste. My favorite was the Three Waves Latte, which was made with coconut, caramel, and macadamia nut flavors. I requested it with no added sugar and regular milk, and it was great. The coconut and lavender flavor lemonade was on the sweet side but refreshing. It was a perfect drink for a warm, sunny day. The Caramel Waves Latte was a simple, regular milk based caramel drink. We received good service. The owner and her staff members were friendly and courteous. The shop was clean and had a nice rustic decor. The drinks were a bit on the pricey side but kind of expected given the area and the fact that tourists flock here in abundance. If you happen to be in the Miramar Beach area, then definitely check out Bad Ass coffee house.

I saw the name of this cafe and it got my attention. We came in on a rainy Monday morning, expecting to order the sandwiches we saw online. There was no indication of hot breakfast inside the cafe, so we ordered muffins and coffee instead. Their only seating was outside, and it was raining, so we opted to eat in the car. Parking here is very limited. The staff was friendly and the coffee and muffins were good. I was underwhelmed by the self service cream and sugar bar. They had a tub of ice with cream, milk and non dairy items. There was a lot of visible storage so it felt chaotic inside. There was merchandise for sale, but they were out of stickers!

Line was out of the door and we hesitated to stick around to order; but we decided to stick it out. And we are so glad we did! The one moved quickly. The cashier that took our order was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to please despite the crowd. It was small but clean unique. The coffee was the best I've ever had! Fresh, flavorful, authentic, and HOT!

First off, this team has no clue how to run a shop. On 6/26 we ordered a cinnamon scone and didn't receive it, we showed up again today on 6/27 at 6:50am and ordered another and they didn't bring it out with our drink order. Then another couple ordered one and they got it packaged before us, to which I notified her that we had been waiting to which I grabbed it. Just overall frustrating that we paid for one yesterday and didn't receive it, and today they play this game. And the drinks are lackluster, better off purchasing starbucks...

It was great! Close to the beach, great coffee, great ambience. they were busy, but got our order out pretty fast! They also had a well kept restroom. I got the three waves coffee, very good!

Good but not the best coffee in the area and expensive. Located in a good area but not the best flavorful coffee.

While in #Destin stopped in at @badasscoffeeofhawaii for some coffee and bagels. It's definitely a cool spot with a cool name. so we ordered coffee, a few bagels and muffins. overall, everything item was fresh, the bagels were toasted to perfection, and the muffins were warm and moist.

At 7:30 am, the coffee, especially 100% Kona, is good. It's hard to damage machine-brewed Kona that goes into an airpot after it's been brewed. The service though, is horrific. Not in terms of smiles, but in training. We had a few latte failures and I could not get a simple refill of coffee, without an issue. Day 1 I bought a mug and asked specifically if I would receive a discount if I returned with it. "Yes". Day 2, I returned. No discount applied. Sorry for the trouble he said, it was 3.80. Day 3, discount not applied. $5. "Isn't there a discount to apply?" Oh. Manager needed. $4.20. Day 4, no discount. "There should be a discount." "Not on those cups (the cup I purchased is a white bad ass branded cup, thermal, that had a beach up charge, making it $46!) "I was told there's be a discount and I've received one all week." "Oh." $5.78 instead of $6.78. I could have asked for another correction, but the kids in there fluster easily and have no idea what the pricing for anything might be, or how to work the register. Huge management and training issues, obviously. If you need a coffee, run in and run out. Then ruIf you want swag, buy it online.

Discovered this place during a recent trip to Destin. Went three days in a row! It was so good! Badass Mocha, Beach Bliss and another iced coffee was what I tried and loved them all!

Line had 20-30 people at 9am, that may normally be okay but it took 30 minutes in line for coffee and no real food options. Waited another 15 after we ordered. Expensive as well

We tried out Bad Ass Coffee today while visiting Destin after driving by it and it did not disappoint! I am not a big coffee drinker so I ordered a strawberry smoothie and it was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. My wife ordered the Bad Ass Mocha and she loved that as well. The service was super friendly and nice and the shop is adorable. We are here for another week and plan to return as many times as we can!

The coffee was good. I ordered the caramel wave iced this was a caramel vanilla latte on ice. It was delicious. They have good cold brew too. I'll definitely return.

Love this place! Been to many Badass locations throughout the country and this is my favorite ahead of the one on Honoapiilani rd on Maui. While the lines can be long the staff (Devin)? does a great job of moving things along. Go early or later in morning to try and avoid them. My go to is a frozen 3 waves with an extra shot. If you're in Miramar give it a try !!

Absolutely loved it. Have gone everyday this week. Didn't really like coffee beforehand but this place rocks. Line is long in morning but mobile order is the way to go. Just do it 25 minutes before you go.

Nice little spot. Service was great! Blueberry muffin was delicious. I had the Caramel wave. I would recommend trying but I think it's a little overhyped.

I love this coffee place! Only a short walk from my resort. It was super packed and we had to wait awhile but it wasn't long! Fantastic coffee

I have gotten addicted to badass iced lattes! Unfortunately one of my fave parts of them is the coffee ice cubes- I was super disappointed when I ordered my 3 iced lattes and none had the coffee ice cubes like the other locations I have been to. Def changes the taste of the drink

Coffee was good! Line was long but it went by very quickly. Staff was nice. The seating around outside was nice and shady!

Meh. It was okay. You pay for the experience and the options. The ambience was great, and the workers were nice. Coffee was mediocre, and overpriced.

It's hard to rate a business negatively because of its success but the line to this place on a Thursday morning was ridiculous. Waited at least 30 minutes. Now, it might have been the best coffee I had while in Destin for 10 days. But even with how good it was, I'm not sure I'm up for a 30 minute wait every time I want a coffee.

Oh my goodness everything is amazing!! The coffee is great and the service is great. The line may be long in the peak seasons but I'm a local and I still make sure to come here at least once a week haha My favorite is the "Boss" (dirty chai) Make sure to try it all!

We are staying across the street from this little coffee shop and decided to give it a shot on a walk home. Wow! Totally impressed with everything we got. We got two different lemonade drinks, a chai and a smoothie. All were out to us barely 5 minutes after ordering. Super quick! Our drinks are delicious. We also got one of the canned Kava drinks which was fine, not as good as the drinks made in store. We will be back tomorrow morning!

Overall it was really good! This place gets busy as it's one of the only coffee spots on the beach so expect to stand in line. I ordered the quad shot latte with oat milk and it was delicious. The place is decorated really cool and you had the Hawaiian vibe while waiting but even with the crowd, the baristas were fast and got the orders right. Not sure why they charge a dollar extra for dairy substitutes since they are about the same price as milk but oh well it was worth it. Great job y'all!

My latte tasted like watered down coffee unfortunately. Very popular given the proximity to the beach so there are lines.

It is not like the one in Naples. Here you find long lines, mediocre, and expensive coffee and no where to sit inside. The only good thing was the staff

I got a warm chai that tasted like warm milk with no spice what so ever. My sister got an iced chai that tasted like syrup. Would not recommend the chai.

Coffee is good - plenty of coffee and non coffee options. Service was pretty fast given the amount of people in line. Prices are a little high. Set up is a little odd and the space is kind of small but overall worth the trip!

What a gift this place was. Went here almost every day when on the beach. I loved both their Almond joy lattes and lavender lattes. So refreshing. My pregnant sister -in-law and MIL could not get enough of their strawberry and banana smoothies. Great quality... an enormous number of flavors to choose from. Annnd.... Such a fun interior!

Nice coffee shop on the gulf strip. Located in the middle of the strip, so walking there is super easy. I ddnt get my smoothie when I went, they had ran out of fruits. But I will be back to try the smoothies and coffee.

Massive slow line not moving, but I want my coffee so I wait and wait. But first I call bc I only have Apple Pay with me so I want to make sure they take it. Woman answers yes they do so I wait. And wait. I'm up yay. They say Apple Pay is down. WTF. And they deny telling me that. They should've said so sorry we'll comp you the two coffees. They weren't even fancy coffees. I walked here from the beach for that hassle and then an attitude and no help and NO coffee. Never going back and no clue y it's so crowded. The coffee here is not better than Starbucks. Save yourself a huge hassle.

I'm a connoisseur of Americano's. Bad Ass Coffee has the best coffee that I've had in quite sometime. I thought the local place back home in Oklahoma was good however Bad Ass Coffee is just that... BAD ASS.

best coffee place in miramar, make sure to go early in the morning or else you'll be waiting in line forever, but they do a good job of moving the line fast. i come down to florida many times a year and always come here. personal favorite is the mocha banana latte since no where else has something like it
