Cafayate in Argentina Is the Wine Town You Need to Visit Now - AFAR

"A lively restobar in town where the owners produce their own wines under in-house labels; patrons can relax on an outdoor terrace and sample small plates such as baked macaroni and cheese with truffle oil, beef empanadas, and bandiola, an Argentine pork shoulder sandwich." - Ari Bendersky

Excellent service, atmosphere and food!!! Beautiful views of the mountains while you sit and have your dinner and wine/cocktail. The staff is lovely, they offer complimentary sparkling or still water, we were also given an entree dish to try (complimentary) and the meals are very big and very reasonably priced. Dessert was amazing!!! We have been here twice and will continue to come back!!

We got a recommendation to visit Bad Brothers from our friend, who said the experience is something we will remember for many years. It's true. Service was exceptional. We spent nearly 4 hours enjoying food and wine, then just wine. Got a little story from the waiters, a little chat about cocktails and how they came up with them. Bone marrow was something out of this world. If you are visiting Cafayate or driving by, make it an effort to stop by. One of the pleasant surprises was the ease of booking the table, even on the same day.

It was an incredible experience to dine at Bad Brothers in Cafayate, Salta. Gourmet menu with a regional touch making every dish delicious. The service was superb, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Beautifully decorated and cozy atmosphere. Definitely, not to be missed.

A place that tries to exude a more upscale vibe, and a menu with something different than the usual regional cuisine. Unfortunatly, to us, it falls a bit short on its ambition. we had the oso buco wich was oke, and the gnocchi which tasted quite bland and the portion was very small. The Torrontés wine was great (obviously), the wine cocktail was more like a sangria. Especially for the price it was all a bit dissapointing.

A bit of a mixed bag, some good and some bad. The restaurant design is great, beautiful interior, good tableware, pleasant lighting. Their own brand wine we have ordered was excellent as well. The food was top notch apart from potatoes that arrived a bit cold. However, our evening was spoiled by a bad service. The lady at the front desk was nice enough, but our waiter had the most blasé attitude, like he could not be bothered with us. We waited for ages to order our food while he stood in the doorway scrolling on his phone. Then when the food arrived, he did not come even once to see if we need anything. Our empty plates sat on our table for 20 minutes, till we lost our patience and waved another waiter over and asked for the bill. No offer of a dessert or more wine… We literally did not get to see our waiter after he has dropped our mains off… And the restaurant was only half full… Not impressed.

One of the best and memorable meals we’ve had in Argentina. The menu includes many local ingredients with a modern twist, beautifully done. The wine list is also fantastic!

Overall ok! The environment is very spacious, clean and well decorated. The food menu is good, various options for all tastes, including some vegetarian dishes. Quality of the food is ok. The wine list is very good, offering the wines by glass and bottles , even though this the first place I know where the price of a little more than two glasses, equals the price of the full bottle. Service needs to be improved, with confusing and inexperienced waiters.
