American style BBQ in Prague??? Really??? Good 'Q is hard enough to pull off in the USA, could someone in Prague do it? The answer is a resounding YES. Bad Jeff's is the real deal. It's located near the Namesti Miru station on a mostly residential street. Beautifully decorated, we were seated immediately. Friendly server brought us our menus. We considered the BBQ Sampler but thought it would be too much as we weren't super hungry. Settled for the beef brisket and the pork ribs lunch. Both were excellent. Meat just fell of the bones, perfectly sauced. Fries were good. Unfortunately we didn't try the sides - guess we'll have to save that for next time. After getting to know Prague better, good 'Q doesn't surprise me anymore. Prague is well known for its meats and the restaurant scene is definitely on point.

In a city that's known for its meat, BBQ isn't the first thing that you associate with it. But in the city's continued growth and attraction of multiple nations, one of those being Americans, BBQ was bound to find its way. And that's what Jeff did, he took his BBQ with him from back home, set up shop in Prague, and has been successful ever since with locals, and of course, expats. The chef, Jeff, actually is from Texas and used to be a chef at Prague Beer Museum, where he helped introduce classic American fare, such as corndogs, on their menu. I had my best ribs in Prague here, and some great sides including truffle mac n' cheese, jalapeno cheese corn bread, baked beans and cole slaw. I was pleased with the overall experience. Comforting interior, great selection of food (true to an American BBQ menu), AWESOME service, and the prices (albeit "expat prices") were good for what you got in return.

Nice waiter and he gets us some nice suggestions to lead us to order dinner. Nice ribs, hamburger, chicken wings, and of course local beer.

Beats any USA BBQ hands down. I tried the pulled pork sandwich which was moist and flavorful without being over sauced. Just the right amount of cole slaw on top of the pulled pork in the middle of a homemade bun. I ate it slow so it would last a little longer. I also had aside of their truffle Mac & Cheese. Rich & creamy with macaroni a little al dente which I enjoyed a lot. My partner had the cheeseburger which he said was seasoned & cooked just right. They claim to only have 25 burgers available each day. On the side he had their curly fries. Service was on point. I might add that the step down restaurant was very cozy and the vibe of Old Prague. I'm only in town for a few more days but I'm going back before I leave.

Literally never had a better pulled pork sandwich in my life. We had a party of 11; the only words we had were "that is good as f*ck". Only thing they should add to their menu is a pulled pork with Mac and cheese sandwich!!! Capitalize on your buffalo sauce and you win!

Fancy cute little place near Namesti Miru. Great food, great service, reasonable prices. Won't make a mistake if you visit this place. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and it was delicious!

When a restaurant is not in the busiest part of town but still manages to get a full house on every day of the week you know it must be good. I really suggest making a reservation. Went there with my family and we had the wings, the pulled pork sandwich, Jeffs burger, the ribs and brisket. Everything we had was amazing and truly a feast for the senses. These guys knows BBQ! Combined with the very friendly and professional service this will definitely be the first restaurant on the list when we visit Prague again.

My boyfriend and I went here on Valentine's Day. They messed up our appetizer and ended up giving us a round of drinks to make up for it. The ribs were really good. Half a slab was plenty of food for me. I got the mac and cheese and corn bread as my sides and they were pretty damn good. We ended up trying their take on a margarita and it was just not for me. I will say, they recently changed their prices and the sides do not come with the ribs anymore, they are extra.

If you're in Prague for any amount of time this place is a must! Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, a refreshing thing to see if you're not from around here like us. My friend and I studied abroad here for 2 and a half months (from America) and came to Bad Jeffs at least twice a week!! Try their ribs and Mac and cheese. You won't regret it!

Best burger in Europe. Buffalo sauce is AMAZING. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You're an idiot if you are visiting Prague and don't eat here.

The food scene has improved so much since I left Prague in 2002. This place is so good. The ribs are fantastic. The brisket is off the hook. The people are amazing and the kids loved the fondant dessert. We took a large group, called ahead and got the best service. Highest recommendation possible. You will love it.

Delicious! The wings are the best! Get hot. They taste perfect! People were great. You definitely want a reservation if you're going at a busy time. One thing is that I was not fond of the mac and cheese. But I still enjoyed my meal very much. And I went back again because it was so good.

Vistng from Florida and never felt so at home in a foreign country while still experiencing great Czech vibes! Staff was absolutely amazing fun and accommodating! Fabulous food and drinks! Has been a highlight of our trip! If ever in Prague again 100% coming back and telling any friends traveling to make it a priority visit this wonderful establishment!

Good prices and good meat, but terrible side dishes. I have been in search of a good American BBQ place in Prague and this is probably the best one that I have found which is relatively disappointing. The ribs themselves are quite good, but the side dishes that they provided were mediocre at best. I'd say that the fries and the garlic bread (I didn't taste any garlic) were probably the best side dishes. My friends got some other ones and they did not enjoy them at all. All in all, if you're looking for a BBQ place, this is probably the one to go to, but be careful in picking your side dishes!

Great service and nice food. I went with the smoked chicken. It came with baked potato and spicy beans, I will be heading back there again soon

We decided to visit Bad Jeff's after reading other reviews and they are true! This is THE place for some great BBQ. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We were raving over the food with the waitress and shortly after the owner came out to say "hello". We of course continued to tell him how great the food is and were shocked at a BBQ restaurant in Prague. The wings, brisket, ribs, heck everything we had to include desert and coffee were simply amazing! They smoke the wings so they have an amazing flavor. Highly recommend going out of your way to visit and eat here. Leah, Evan, and Joey made our experience the best ever! Don't miss this little hidden gem in Prague!

Great service and nice atmosphere but the food is mediocre. If you're looking for a taste of home barbecue I would keep looking. A bit expensive too

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Prague! Not only is the food some of the BEST barbecue I have ever had the service is impeccable! They actually care to make sure you have the best food/service. The servers are amazing especially the short brown hair girl. I will miss this restaurant so much!

There are sometimes moments that make you reflect on service that you have experienced so far.... and then comes Bad Jeffs... It just blew me away! The service here was just out of this world.... and that was before I even tasted the food! Well done guys, I WILL come back. Thanks for opening my eyes that great service and food is available in Prague!

Wow - real BBQ in Prague, at last! Bad Jeff is a master, and his brisket will make you cry. The sides are all fantastic as well - the iron skillet beans, the smoked potato salad, the cornbread, the incredible grits and cheese. The ribs are also very good, as is the chicken, but it's that brisket that has stolen my heart. And the buffalo wings - easily the most authentic in the country. The service is phenomenal, the decor and atmosphere are nice without being stuffy, and the desserts - especially the caramel bread pudding and the smoked chocolate fondant, are a perfect way to round out a fantastic meal. Jeff is a force to be reckoned with in the new Prague restaurant scene, and you do yourself a disservice if you don't go. Now.

I was craving a taste of home and found this place on the expat website. It definitely hit the spot. I had the ribs, curly fries, and a raspberry mule. I had three raspberry mules by the time my meal was done- so delicious! The ribs just fell right off the bone and it was very tender and very good. If I get a chance to before I leave Prague, I will come back for more raspberry mules and try their pulled pork sandwich. I might even head over for the Fourth of July for a taste of my country on Independence Day!

The atmosphere and food seemed really good ... Unfortunately (for Jeff) I am definitely not going back to a pub where they forget about two of my orders in one night.

I lived in Prague from 1993 to 2007 and I had seen many food trends start from my first visit in 1992 when all restaurants seemed to have the same food-meat fried with cheese and ham in the middle. When I found a place that had boiled chicken I was so happy. Gradually the international food scene came to Prague. Many of the foods which I hoped for like rotisserie chicken. One type of food that had not come by the year I had left was good BBQ food. That ended on my return visit in 2015 when I was taken to Bad Jeff's. It was not good, but great. One of the best I had ever had. The ribs were great. The wings were the BEST I have ever had. Bad Jeff's is sooo bad that it is sooo good! I took pulled pork and ribs back to the states to have a friend taste that is in the restaurant business and who has traveled around the US in search of the best BBQ places. He rated the ribs an 8 out of 10 and his taste was 2 days after it was cooked and without much of the sauce left. He rated the pulled pork a 10. He was mad that I did not bring wings back as I had eaten them all. I told him my next visit I would bring them back. He said he could not wait and will see if they can be shipped. I highly recommend those visiting and those who live in Prague to go there for a real treat. We do not want to lose this place. I will be going back there. Enjoy!
