We recently stayed at Badian Island Wellness Resort and had a mixed experience. The resort is situated on a tranquil island, offering a peaceful retreat with beautiful landscapes and friendly staff. Our arrival was warmly welcomed, and the food was great, with a variety of delicious dishes.
However, there were several aspects that fell short of our expectations. The expansive property lacks transportation options like carts, making it challenging to roam around, especially with luggage. While the staff assisted in carrying our belongings, the absence of convenient transport made it less accessible, particularly for seniors. The walk from the reception to our room took over five minutes, often uphill, which was inconvenient, especially during our midday checkout under the scorching sun.
Additionally, the rooms lacked telephones, making communication with the reception difficult. Given the distance, walking back and forth for inquiries was impractical. We resorted to calling the mobile numbers listed on their website, however, two were unreachable, and only one was functional. Their Facebook page was unresponsive on Sundays due to office closure, further complicating communication.
On a positive note, the resort's serene environment is ideal for those seeking tranquility. We stayed in a family suite, which was satisfactory and provided a comfortable stay.
