Best Korean restaurant in Utah for me!

We came here a little before dinner hours as a walk-in and got seated right away. Loved that they offer a bunch of side dishes along with refills. We all tried the jjampong seafood noodles soup and it was loaded with huge shrimp with heads attached and small mussels. Soup flavor was spicy and flavorful! Enjoyed our meal and would recommend other trying their specialty noodle soup.

This marks my second time enjoying food from this restaurant. The first was a to-go order with a friend, but this time, I decided to sit down and savor a proper meal within the restaurant’s inviting ambiance. I must say, this is an exceptional Korean establishment. The flavors are authentic and thoroughly enjoyable. While I don’t often indulge in Korean cuisine, it’s wonderful to have an authentic spot in town when the craving arises.

We came here after shopping at the Chinese market. I got the spicy squid dish. It had a lot of squid! The squid was perfect not excessively chewy. The whole dish overall was large, very flavorful, and delicious. Easily two meals worth of food. My wife got the beef bulgogi with noodles. The beef bulgogi was good, but the noodles were served cold. Honestly, they weren’t very good at all. We took them to-go but ended up throwing them away. Which is unfortunate because it is one of the most expensive dishes on the menu. We both enjoyed the appetizers that they serve you before your entree. Some of them were better than others, but it was a lot of fun.

We recently dined at Baek Ri Hyang, and we can't stop raving about the fabulous food! Each dish was a testament to exceptional culinary skill, bursting with flavors that left us craving more. The generous portion sizes made us wish we had more room in our stomachs to savor every last bite. The restaurant had a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere that added to the overall experience. It was the perfect setting to enjoy a great meal. The staff were incredibly pleasant, ensuring that our service was prompt and attentive, without being intrusive. For around $70 for 2, we enjoyed a memorable meal that was absolutely worth every penny. I would wholeheartedly recommend Baek Ri Hyang to anyone looking for a delicious dining experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

Google
Best bulgogi and short ribs in Utah. It's expensive but huge portions. You get what you pay for. One order of bulgogi and ribs is enough to feed 4 people easy. A must try if you love Korean food.

Google
The menu offers a variety of options, but the prices were steep. The food came hot and the sides were good, but the white rice was not fresh and the seafood tofu soup was flavorless. The restaurant is spacious and clean, but it is bland and lacking character. The staff was nice and they checked in often. However, it was odd when the waiter stood 2 feet from my table as I wrote in the tip and immediately took the check after I was done. I find that unprofessional and shouldn't be taken away until the table has been cleared. I will not be returning, as this restaurant lacks value and flavor.

Google
By far the best Korean food I’ve had in Utah! The food is so fresh and it’s all made from scratch there. If you love banchan and real Korean dishes come and have a blast.

Google
I don’t know where’s the 4.4 star rating came from . The food was way too sweet and far away from authentic Korean cuisine. The city I grew up in are full of Korean restaurants. The city I am living right now has lots Korean restaurants as well. This one I visited is really not good. They might have added 53grams of corn syrup to the $53 beef short rib we ordered (1st picture). The cold noodle is alright but only sweet not sour as it should be. Although we paid the suggested 18% tips, we got zero service. The waiters never came to check on us unless we waved them over.

Yelp
Oh boy do I have a spot for you. My favorite meal here is steamed or fried dumplings, a big bowl of jam bong, and a bottle of that ambrosial raspberry wine. Food - Not only do you get a much larger meal here than you bargained for, but you get a whole row of small condiment bowls to enrich your experience. I've had a number of tasty soups and beef bulgogi here, I don't think there's anything I'd recommend to steer clear of, but the menu is so extensive I don't think I could ever get all the way through it. There seem to be family style options here as well, great for a big group. Service - Good service, not super frilly, but Kim is the sweetest and she's got a great sense of humor. Ambiance - This place is HUGE, clean, well lit, and has lot of seating that can be moved around. Very quiet when it's slow, and very lively when it's full. Again, bring your large groups here! Bonus - The greatest part of BRH is the food (and Kim!), but one of my most favorite things is the location. This restaurant is right next to Chinatown Supermarket in the same strip mall and there are so many options for grocery shopping, boba, and pastries after you've had a filling meal here (honestly I always have leftovers when I eat here, embrace it!).

Yelp
One of our favorite Korean restaurants! The dinning area is clean, spacious and well lit. The restrooms are also very clean and well lit. I've been here several times and everyone has been sooooo nice! The service is fairly quick and everyone seems happy. They check to make sure you're doing ok and advise on how to best enjoy the meal if it seems you are not familiar. And the best part of course is the food! You get 8 side dishes with your order. Sometimes a few of them may be different from the previous visit, but nonetheless they are all delicious! Our favorites are #8 bibimbap (stone pot) with fried egg and C5- jam bong (seafood noodle soup) spice level 2. The servings are fairly large. We usually ask for an extra bowl to split the noodle soup. Some of the other menu items seem a little pricey, but these two seem to be very well priced for the amount of food you get.

Yelp
Love being able to explore food spots when I travel for work. Stopped by this Korean spot cause I wanted some soup. The galbi tang came with these huge pieces of beef, super tender. The soup was flavorful, a tad salty. I was so surprised when 10 banchans came out. They definitely loaded up and even asked if I wanted refills. I was already soo full though. Overall great spot and would definitely come back. The staff were super friendly. Lots of parking in the plaza!

Yelp
The best Korean restaurant in UT! They recently cut their menu prices it used to be very expensive, but now it's more reasonable. There's no BCD in UT so this is the closest it can get. They have a lot of traditional and legit Korean dishes you would find in CA's K TOWN. Service has always been fast and food is always fresh/hot. The galbi is always marinated well and I love the seafood pancake here. Recently tried the steamed beef dumplings and it was really good, I'd order it again. The food also isn't overly salty like other places.

Jenn C.

Yelp
very authentic, tasty korean food (from a Korean who came here with my parents who live in Korea). huge menu with everything across the gamut and everything we've tried so far has been very good (came here 3 times). They are generous with their banchan and refills. Theirs stews are very good and though we didn't order any meat dishes their pork and beef bulgogi looked delicious. highly recommend for anyone craving a korean fix!

Yelp
I'm a Korean-American from Los Angeles, mul-neng-myun (cold buckwheat noodles) is my favorite dish of all time. I tried it here and it was decent, not the best or worst I've ever had, nice a refreshing as it's supposed to be! We got the nengmyun + galbi combo for $39, which was easily enough food to feed 2 of us. The banchan (side dishes were pretty standard as well). We knew that the korean food in Salt Lake City wasn't going to be the most authentic, but it was better than expected, and satisfied my korean food craving. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1. it doesn't come with rice, so you have to order separate 2. prices were a bit expensive, usually

Yelp
Came here on a bustling Friday night, we were able to be seated pretty quickly which was a pleasant surprise since it took longer to find parking. The restaurant has high ceilings and well-illuminated inside. We ordered the seafood soondubu, sweet & sour pork, bibambap, and jajjyeongmeon. The portions were large and satisfied our party of three. Promptly after placing our order, an array of banchan were brought to our table. My favorites were the potatoes and broccoli. You can also ask for refills of them! Our food came out fairly quickly. The soondubu broth was a little on the bland side. A touch more flavor in the broth could have elevated the dish. Additionally, a slight adjustment to the jajjyeongmeon's texture toward a more al dente consistency, would've made the dish even better. Nevertheless, the overall dining experience was enjoyable.

Yelp
Food is good. Located in a large shopping center which gets pretty busy so parking can be tough. The side dishes are great here along with the service.

Yelp
You get a lot of food for what you are paying for. It's near a really cool Chinatown! (It's technically in the Chinatown.) The funniest part about this place is when you order, the waitress will convince you to get something else. So you get what you need and not what you want. It was good but just aheads up. Very funny experience.

Yelp
The restaurant is in Chinatown and the sign is not visible from the street. I had high expectations for the meal and left a little bit disappointed. The Galbi short ribs and the spicy pork bulgogi were OUTSTANDING and an easy 5 star. The spicy squid (#21) was just ok. The bibimbap in the hot stone was very disappointing. It was bland and they added the raw egg too early and it was over cooked by the time it came to the table. Restaurant is not fancy, just one huge open area and service was not very good. I did like the side dishes they brought, they gave us like 8 different items and all were delicious. They cook the food in back and bring it to you cooked (no table side cooking). Not sure if I would come back again.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is absolutely amazing. My favorite dish was the Korean short ribs - so tender and savory. The seafood pancake was also amazing, perfect crisp!!! Service was super quick. Ambiance is great - not too loud, well lit, clean. Great location bc you can go grab a treat inside one of the Asian bakeries or the main grocery store afterwards. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times for lunch and dinner and it was super good. Each dish was super flavorful and had big servings for each dish. My favorite being the Wang Galbitang soup as the meat was very tender! There's plenty of seating as well as attentive servers. Good for casual dining. A few dishes, like their Bulgogi was not as flavorful as I hoped so keep this in mind when ordering. This restaurant is also kid friendly, we got a high chair just fine.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner on a weekend night. Restaurant was busy but we were able to get seated pretty quickly. Place is very clean and spacious with high ceilings. Was a bit noisy but could have been due to the large 10+ party already seated. Ordered the galbi ribs and japchae. Banchan came out first - 8 little dishes of tastiness. The kimchi with daikon radish and cabbage were amazing! Then came out the japchae - piping hot, full of flavor, and a very hefty portion for the two of us. Finally the galbi ribs - another huge portion and really good flavor. The servers are very friendly and always check in with you to see if you need anything, which was great as they did replenish our banchan. Definitely will be back to try their soondubu.

Yelp
I am on a roll! Whilst Yelping for amazing Korean food I found this spot!!! I knew what I wanted before I left my house. Jajangmyen! Black noodles! The picture on Yelp looked good so here we go! I was brought 8 small plates of assorted veggie appetizers Foods I remember from my youth! The food! First bite... bulgogi was served hot amd the dish was full of flavor amd paired well with the steamed rice. Pure comfort food. The jajangmyen was good too but was more brown than black amd I missed the yellow daikwon and white onion from my ... The staff was nice and attentive

Yelp
Went here with two friends, and we ordered the galbijjim. The serving portion says good for two, but we had PLENTY of leftovers with three people! Quick service, tons of seating, and plenty of side dishes. I want to try their other items next time I'm back in Utah. Till next time though!

Anh H.

Yelp
Beware of their deceptive billing. We arrived as 4 adults and 2 toddlers. They included an automatic gratuity of 20 percent for a party of five. Then deceptively printed a receipt that implied tip was not included by recommending an additional tip of 18-20%. The service was not specular for a 40 dollar tip.

Yelp
Baek Ri Hyang was recommended by a friend and upon trying it I found the food to be exceptionally tasty and delicious! As a person who was born and raised, and resides in Hawaii with a ton of Korean food options, take my word for it when I say the food here was so tasty and DELICIOUS! Even better than a lot of the Korean food establishments in Hawaii! This establishment offers ample parking, a clean and family friendly environment, a sufficient number of tables, great service, prompt food delivery, and everything was delicious! Each order includes a generous amount of side dishes, with our favorites being the seaweed and kimchi. I personally ordered the sunbudu (spicy soft tofu soup with vegetables), medium spicy, without meat, which was flavorful, satisfying, and not excessively spicy. My boyfriend ordered the bibimbap and he appreciated that the restaurant served the hot sauce separately, allowing him to control the spice level. The hot sauce has a pleasant flavor profile with a hint of sweetness rather than excessive spiciness. Upon returning to Utah, I plan to revisit Baek Ri Hyang and recommend it to anyone I know that visits the area.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner after a long day of snowboarding. We ordered a variety of dishes including 2 versions of the seolleongtang and kalbi plus naengmyeon. The seolleongtang was boiling hot and included plenty of meat. Our favorite item was the kalbi, it was super tender. The naengmyeon was a little too sweet for our taste. We also enjoyed the variety of banchan which came with free refills. The staff came to check on us multiple times which was nice. The prices were on the high end but I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Best kimchi I've ever had! And the bathrooms were super clean. I got bibimbop and it was delicious.

Yelp
I love the sundubu and oxtail soup here! I like the other dishes (beef + chicken bulgogi, bibimbap), but I think they're standard. The soups are great and filling.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Price: $$ ($18-$28) After a day spending our time in the Antelope Island, we decided to go back to Salt Lake City to get some food! Baek Ri Hyang came on top on Yelp's recommendation for Korean food. The restaurant is located in a Chinatown Plaza. There are plenty of parking on site so you don't have to worry about a thing. The food here are great! I grew up in Koreatown Los Angeles, which happened to be one of the biggest Korean community outside of Seoul. The food here is comparable to the ones in Koreatown. Every dish is delicious and unique. My favorite is the spicy pork bulgogi. The table's favorite is the korean pancake (haemul pajeon). My biggest complaint is the prices and the portion. I don't mind paying extra dollar for my food. The korean pancake is a decent size. However, the soup were the opposite. For $18 I would expect the tofu soup were bigger in terms of the portion. The service was good, no complaint here.

Yelp
We may be here more often. They have a lot of Asian spots inside. Wide open space. I can't add kimchi to the soft tofu stew and they won't let me add soft tofu to the kimchi stew. Not about making the customer happy and making food to order here at all, even though they have all of the ingredients. I wouldn't even care if they charged me extra for the add-ons. It's their rigidity that bothers me, not being to get food to order at all that makes no sense to me at all. I just wanted an item to be added to one soup or another. We ended up ordering one spicy chicken bulgogi and one tteok bokki, two herb teas and a side of lettuce, since they charge you extra for lettuce here. $65.74. They give you 8 banchans with your ordered meals. The tteokbokki is platter size. It's a special only on Mondays and Tuesdays. Comes with fried pork dumplings, ramen, cheese and two eggs as well. It's decent. The downside is the filler for the platter is the ramen, which I could care less about and it's a bit soggy. The rice cake is way too few for it being a spicy rice cake dish. They are at least chewy. The picture of their tteokbokki comes with 5 dumplings, the platter comes with 4. Their lettuce is quite hard to fold over, it stays intact as a cup lettuce. Not my favorite, prefer green leaf or red leaf lettuce. The 8 Bachans: kimchi, fish cake, zucchini, cucumber, tofu, eggplant and bean sprouts and mushrooms. None of the banchans were my favorite, all were just so-so. They do replenish the bachans.

Yelp
I love this place! I've tried many dishes and enjoyed all of it including their side dishes. Today's menu: Ox Tail Soup & Braised Spare Ribs Hot Stone Dish. The Ox Tail was simple as I was looking for something more soothing and refreshing. The Braised Spare Ribs Hot Stone was sweet. I love that the meat was super soft and yummy. This dish feeds up to 2 people but I think it could feed a family of 5 for us! I love the vibe of this restaurant. A feel of mom and pops with more than just the KBBQ vibe. All in all. I'm satisfied and can't wait to come back and try their other dishes. Happy Friday!!!

Yelp
We came here for a quick lunch. They have a pretty extensive menu. I was really craving something warm, and got a yuk gae jang. The restaurant is super clean inside, and they give plenty of banchan! The yuk gae jang was also served in a stone pot! Usually when i get yuk gae jang it is served in a silver bowl, I really like the stone pot because it keeps everything warm. The yuk gae jang was really tasty and I will definitely be back. Service was great, and large portions.

Richard A.

Yelp
4 stars for services. 1 star for food. We ordered soon tofu soup and spicy squids. The soup taste was too diluted and squids not tasty and sauce was not thick.
google avatar

Shun G.

Yelp
Not authentic Korean food I'd say Worst gamjatang I've ever had... Good thing is the open hour is long and even open on big holidays. Will not come back
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
The food was amazing but a few staff members ruined our experience. They would only acknowledge my husband. Questions were directed to him and eye contact made with him. He also was the only one thanked for coming in. We will not be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Heard great things about this place and boy we're so glad to finally come here. They use quality prime meat that you can really taste. The brisket was so tender and their bulgogi meat was top notch. We enjoyed all of the banchan too. This could very well be - the best Korean restaurant in Utah. The service was excellent. The place was packed but the servers were very attentive. The restaurant is nice and roomy and their bathrooms were very clean. The price is a little on the higher side, however they do compensate for the quality of food and generous portions. A definite 5 star worthy yelp review.
google avatar

Noelle V.

Yelp
Fantastic Korean food experience. Lots of little pickled and savory dishes to complement your entree. Entrees are very generous and beautifully presented. Meat entrees had a lovely variety of spices and flavors. HIGHLY recommend the short ribs and the pork tempura (sweet and sour) was incredible!!!! Service was on point

Yelp
The food, the service, the easy parking, and THE FOOD. I eat a lot in Koreatown in LA and this was on par. The portions are pretty good and they have a bunch of sides that they constantly refilled. If you want authentic tasting Korean food with a relaxed environment, would recommend this place!

William P.

Yelp
Best Korean food in Salt Lake. A touch pricey, but you get what you pay for... and I just keep paying. It's so good, and quite authentic. The 김치찌개 (Kimchi soup) is fantastic. The 해물바전 (seafood pancake) is crazy delicious. I know, if you're American that sounds strange, but it's mind blowing. This might be my favorite SLC restaurant period. I've lived here 17 years, and tried a lot of Korean places, and this is the place. I can also speak for its authenticity after spending 2 years in Korea (a long time ago). If you're considering eating Korean, stop considering. Eat here. Seriously. Just go.

Hyerim P.

Yelp
Actually amazing. I came here with my aunt, uncle and sister and We got jjampong, jjajang myun, gamjatang, and doenjangjjigae in addition to the rly generous banchan. It was all really good but the standout was the jjampong. I have been searching for a good jjampong ever since my go-to place closed during the pandemic, and this was it. Im just sad we have to catch a flight and cant bring leftovers with us. Total was $84 which is very reasonable for the crazy amount of food we got. Server was really nice, theres a korean woman here (owner?) who also stopped to have a brief convo with us. 100000000/10 if I'm ever in utah again i'll definitely come back to this place.

Yelp
Tons of space and the restaurant has all the classic Korean entrees. A bit pricey but the side dishes are delicious.

Yelp
Sundubu is amazing! And the amount of kimchi side you get is better than any other Korean restaurant I've been too. Highly recommended

Yelp
We went on a Saturday, maybe an hour before closing. The restaurant was not busy, but the service was fast, attentive, and friendly. We ordered tteokbokki, haemul pajeon, and beef bulgogi. Each of us (2) received our own set of banchan. It was a good assortment (kimchi, namul, eggplant, broccoli, tofu, cucumbers, enoki mushrooms) and since we didn't use them as appetizers, it was more than enough when the food arrived. Their tteokbokki is a meal, not the traditional rice cakes and sauce snack food. As pictured it came with 5 mandu, 2 whole hard boiled eggs, ample rice cakes, and noodles to feed 4 people easily. Their sauce is fairly sweet and mildly spicy (subjective). The haemul pajeon was approximately 9" in diameter, almost 3/4" thick, and nicely crisped on both sides. Interestingly, it was slightly similar to okonomiyaki with the thickness due to cabbage inside, but it was good. The beef bulgogi was very shredded, almost masticated. It was more sweet than savory (subjective) and served in a generous, heaping portion. All food was served piping hot and within 15 minutes of ordering. The service was attentive by three different individuals and everyone was very friendly. The prices are comparable to Korean restaurants in Hawaii, so understandably people in or visiting Utah may experience sticker shock. Considering the convenience of not making an array of banchan and grilling at home, I'd return with visiting family.

Yelp
Fish cake was so AWESOME!!! Jjam ja myeon & spicy seafood noodles, Salkogi Sullungtang were good. The staff was busy to clean up but they were so nice that we refilled the fish cake 3 times. It's a huge room and we came in late so it's not super crowded. It's clean.

Yelp
I finally got to come here after many failed attempts (scheduling issues on my end). I was so excited because i heard really good things about it. Plus they're the only place that I've seen that has black bean noodles. My husband ordered a beef dish. Pretty much bibimbap on a skillet lol it was good. I got the black bean noodles and was super disappointed. It was so bland and bordered on tasting bitter. It was not what I'm used to it tasting like when I had it at other korean places in cali. I also got the soft tofu soup. It was pretty bland as well. I had to add additional seasoning and even then, I wasn't really feeling it. We ordered three things, and the bill was nearly $70 This place is definitely very pricey for sub par korean food. I don't think it was worth it at all and probably wouldn't go back tbh.

Yelp
Recently moved to SLC from Denver, and in search of yummy Korean food. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not satisfy the craving. The portion sizes were disappointing given how pricey this meal was. The side dishes were not appealing. I did appreciate how clean the restaurant was and the service. Waters were refilled and the check was brought out in a timely manner. Would I recommend it to friends? No
google avatar

Rose H.

Yelp
I came with high expectations based on the high ratings. However, my friend and I were both disappointed. We both come from places with great Korean food (Honolulu and Southern California) and we have both seen much better quality for much better prices. The biggest turn-off was the high prices on the menu. I usually order pajeon (scallion pancakes) at other Korean restaurants, but it was a whopping $23 here, which is at least DOUBLE what I am used to, so there was no way I was getting that there. A quick scan of the menu made me feel hesitant to order "whatever I felt like eating" even though I have never felt that way at any Korean restaurant before. It seems like either they don't know how to keep costs low, or are making crazy margins. It honestly felt like everything on the menu was DOUBLE what things should be priced, and the portions weren't that big so it wasn't justified. I ordered yukgaejang and got it at medium spice level and it was very mild. It didn't have much depth to the flavor and was mostly oily and salty. I paid $19 for it and didn't think it was worth it. My friend ordered the cold buckwheat noodles and it was unsatisfying and painfully ordinary. It was $17 and didn't satisfy her at all. The two of us also ordered a beef bulgogi to share and the portion was tiny and overpriced (over $20). Both of us are foodies and don't mind spending $$ on delicious food, but the problem was that there was nothing special about this place to justify the ridiculous prices. There aren't even unlimited refills of side dishes, which in the cities we came from, it is standard practice for Korean restaurants to refill for free in unlimited quantities. It was also a bummer that quite a few of the side dishes were very bland. On top of that, the service was just odd. My friend and I felt incredibly rushed the entire time. The server kept coming back at really short intervals of time to take our orders even though we said we needed more time to look at the menu. The worst part was that they brought the check to our table when we were only halfway done with our meal. The restaurant wasn't packed by any means. I really don't know if I'd want to come back again. I think that I would only come back if they make their prices much more reasonable and re-train their wait staff.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite Korean restaurants. Before COVID-19 we used to visit this place once in 2-3 months since they opened. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are super nice! Went there recently, looks like the menu has changed and unfortunately the prices bumped up a bit as well. But the food is still very delicious and I get that during this hard time it's reasonable to increase the price a bit. Thanks for the great service & food every time we visit you!

Yelp
This place scratched an itch for home cooking Korean food. Everything we ordered was delicious. Super fast service, the banchan offerings was a nice variety. They kept bringing it if you want more. We really liked the layout where you can see where the food was prepped and brought out. Place wasn't noisy at all. People were very friendly and answered any questions we had. Their seasonal recommendations were spot on. We will be back.

Yelp
Arrived place is pretty nice, not too full on Sunday. First saw the menu prices thought it would be family style. 18 for a very basic soup. Paid $65 for 2. When I got the soup the egg was completely raw, transparent, and cold. Soup was not boiling so egg wasn't being cooked. When I asked the waiter, a bigger hispanic man, he said that's how it was and pointed at the menu, where he found it doesn't say anywhere that it is raw. So he conceded and very rudely took my soup very clearly bothered. When he came back in a very rude tone he said "next time make sure you ask me to change it". Already kinda didn't have the best impression but hey if the food is good it's ok. The sundubu soup was very bland, very little broth, very little meat. The size of the bowl was around the palm of my hand for $18 dollars. My girlfriend's soup was also bland and a little bigger than mine but was $25. The side dishes were good but you had to pay for more and they gave you very little of each. The bulgogi was tasty and a decent portion. Overall I would not recommend eating here, much better cheaper Korean places to eat in SLC.

Yelp
Their Galbi jjin is DELICIOUS! Their banchan was okay, but man, their galbi jjin still makes my mouth water whenever I think of it.

Yelp
My absolute favorite place to get korean food. I love the bibibap especially served on the hot stone. Huge portions for tteokbokki if you want family style meals. Lots of yummy side dishes and speedy service. I visit every few months and absolutely love their food.

Yelp
What a wonderful Korean restaurant. Family owned and the staff super friendly. My husband discovered this place while traveling in the area. He raved about their banchan (side dishes). It does vary somewhat daily but each one tastes homemade and with intention. Quite pleased with the side dishes. I ordered the combo Jjamppong (spicy seafood soup with noodles) with jjahjjangmyun (noodles with black bean sauce). The stand out was the jjampong! Dare I say the best I've had in the USA?!? The broth was amazing the best combo of spice, richness, saltiness, and flavor!! The veggies in the soup were slightly flamed for optimal flavor! And to top it off their was a TON of seafood in it. Y'all-there was blue crab in this thing! My absolute favorite! A generous portion of shrimp (head on), mussels, and squid. I was stuffed by the of this meal. 5/5 rating!! I would pass on their jjahjjangmyun. It tasted as though it was missing something from their flavor profile. Stick with their jjamppong you will not be disappointed!! Kalbi-very good marination (garlicky soy with a slight sweetness) and very close to what my mom used to make (which is the flavor I'm always looking for) 5/5 rating

Yelp
Food is pretty good, but it is WAY overpriced - especially for how little meat there was in our soups. Even though we enjoyed the meal, it wasn't enough to justify the price. If we return, it will be sparingly and only if we aren't able to find better Korean food options in the SLC area. However, the service was speedy. Our favorite part was the banchan - a good variety and very delicious!

Yelp
This has been one of my favorite Korean places to go to in salt lake. I usually tend to get the same things every time I go. I get the dumpling soup which is known as "Mandu gook" and Bulgogi Bibimbap which is Steamed rice, vegetables & bulgogi meat in a stone pot. The dumpling soup is packed with a ton of flavor which may replace my chicken noodle soup if I'm feeling unwell. The Bibimbap is made with fresh ingredients and a definite must have. The side dishes that come with your meal are freshly made in house and add more flavor and texture to the meal. This family owned restaurant is one of my favorite Korean places and the service is friendly.
