My recent stay at Bagan Umbra Hotel was awesome. Right from the start, I loved the friendly vibe. The location's perfect, super close to the market, restaurants, and shops. It's in a great spot, safe and handy. Breakfast was the best part! So much variety! Every morning, a huge spread of delicious food. Something for everyone. A great way to start the day. Overall, I totally recommend Bagan Umbra Hotel. Fantastic location, amazing breakfast, and great service make it a winner. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I came to visit my friends who were staying at the hotel just to see their makeup and outfits. Unfortunately, the receptionist didn’t let me go to their room. I understand it’s the policy but I had been allowed many times before without any issue. This time, I was told I had to pay for an extra bed even though I wasnt planning to stay. I felt uncomfortable and a bit pressured. I hope the hotel can apply their rules more fairly and consistently in the future.

We loved our stay at the Umbra Hotel for second time, I love it. The pool area is incredibly charming with an infinity pool overlooking a temple. Our kids loved it and played there every day after visiting Pagodas. The location is also great , close to the temple zones, next to Hamony (a very good and cheap restaurant, one of the best actually) and 2/3 min walk to the street where all the restaurants are very close. You can rent ebikes oposite the entrance of the hotel and bikes next door. All very easy. It's safe, the breakfast is increadible and the Staff is so friendly and caring. A little paradise!

The hotel is very nice, the staff is attentive, the scenery is also beautiful, a place for families to visit during holidays, the first time I came to Bagan but I really liked this hotel, it's a pity that Myanmar is still in civil war, otherwise staying here would be like paradise, especially the hotel serves very delicious food, suitable for the taste, no need to go out to eat, in short, the hotel is great.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Umbra, Bagan and it was a truly disappointing experience from start to finish. Here’s a breakdown of what went wrong:||||The front desk staff were unhelpful and seemed irritated when I asked questions. There was no effort to make me feel welcome or address concerns with courtesy.||||Upon checking into my room, I was appalled by the state of cleanliness. The bathroom had mould in the corners. The toilet and taps were broken, never fixed. The floors hadn’t been properly cleaned, and the overall atmosphere felt dusty and neglected. When this was pointed out staff came to clean but not to fix anything that was broken.||||The A/C unit was in the wrong place and wasn't in the best condition. The electricity was turned over during the day which made the heat unbearable. ||||The pictures on the hotel website looked nothing like the actual facilities. The lobby looked modern, but the rooms were outdated and in desperate need of maintenance.||||For the price I paid, this hotel was not worth it. I’ve stayed at many budget hotels with better service, cleanliness, and comfort. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Myself and my partner recently spent 5 nights in the Umbra Bagan Hotel. One the face of it, and when you look on the Booking sites it looks great. Be wary! You will notice the are very limited pictures of rooms.|The pools and food are good. Not the best but satisfactory. I would recommend the barbeque which was excellent.|What brings this place down even before you reach your rooms you are expected to pay for your full stay in cash. This a medium to high quality establishment according to the hotel and this is reflected in the cost so you have to cough up a fair bit of cash. In reality they will accept card payments but are mearly reluctant to. |We were told we would have to move rooms half way through our stay which we found offputting. After kicking up a fuss they agreed for us to stay in our room.|When we did reach our room we perhaps wished we hadn't stayed at all. The room was not very inviting. Dark and with poor air-conditioning. The bathroom was grubby with loose hooks on the wall and taps that spun around as if they were not bolted. It was the standard I would have expected at a budget hotel. And so to bed. As I climbed in I felt something on my feet. Apon inspection the sheets were dirty as if the bed had already been slept in. I found it hard to sleep the first night. |In the morning the staff at the hotel, who were great tried there best to deep clean our room and did the best they could but there were some things which needed to have been attended to long before they got to this stage.|At 9am the electic goes off for 4 hours, as is the norm in Myanmar. Although this hotel has a generator they did not turn it on. The temperatures inside soon increase so be warned it can get hot. We complained and it was turned on for us. The hotel was full so they there was insufficient revenue to run a generator.|Bagan is an increadle place. We intend to visit again but will not include this hotel on our list.

You are in the right place for a beautiful, peaceful and clean holiday in the center of Bagan. The rooms, bathrooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is very good, I did not try the hotel restaurant, but there are many eating places outside the hotel. We hire easily for E-bike, Tuk Tuk,Balloons and other tours at the reception. Definitely stay, you won't regret it.
