Bagel & Brew

The Berkshires label is a tag that can call-up a certain fru-fru image. Needless to say, you're not gonna find too many reasonable local quick bites in Lenox. But then, you'll turn the corner on Tucker St. and find nestled off to the side, Bagel& Brew. Coming from NY, one has certain expectations when it comes to bagels. This local spot brings the flavor with their bagels and adds some character with their signature smears that are a delicious mix of savory and sweet. And the prices are juuuust right! Great atmosphere, and great service. Don't leave without one!

Wide variety of sandwiches, from bagel egg type situations to deli sandwiches. Reasonably priced. The cream cheese is fresh and favorable. The namesake bagels leave a lot to be desired, though. Bagels are a bit dry and flat and flavorless. Cardboard-y. I would only repeat a sandwich from the place if I didn’t have many other options. Not the worst, but definitely wouldn’t look forward to it.

Solid bagel sandwiches here! Bagel quality could have been higher, but it was a tasty breakfast sandwich for the car ride home. I got the steak & eggs (roast beef, onions, and American cheese) on an onion bagel and it was just really warm and exactly what I wanted. Prices weren’t ridiculous either so I felt the value was good too.

Stumbled upon this place while in The Berkshires with the family. From the coffees and latte's to the bagels and bagel sandwiches it was all great. The service was amazing and timely and we would definitely go again. The only regret we have is not being there later in the day, when the brew side opened up. We would definitely go again!

We loved it here! I had a BLT on a multigrain bagel and it was fantastic! My partner had a coffee and he said it was amazing! The atmosphere was lovely and the service was so friendly!

Best bagel cafe. Variety of bagels and coffee. Good price. Very clean and good quality. Veggie delux is great option for vegetarian. Must go next to Haven cafe. Free parking inside and outside sitting options

This place was pretty great- aside from the service. The atmosphere is funky in a good way and the bagel sandwiches are delicious. Unfortunately, the young lady who took our order seemed that she could not have cared less about providing polite service. She didn’t even say thank you. This was disappointing. A simple smile can go a long way.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always a great experience. The coffee is delicious and the bagels are always fresh and perfectly chewy. Parking can be tough and there’s always a line but the way they interact with customers and get everyone in and out quickly is quite impressive. Love the atmosphere. I definitely recommend trying them out!

Very dark and dirty. Visible holes in the wall. The bagels are just average. The atmosphere is beyond depressing. The place just looks neglected.

Need a great bagel and a cup of coffee? Look no further than bagel and brew. Not the biggest menu by any means, but they have all that you could need in a bagel shop. We got an everything bagel with the buffalo cream cheese. The buffalo cream cheese has the perfect kick to it. We also got a salt bagel with scallion cream cheese that was great! Nice, small local spot that's perfect for a delicious and quick breakfast.

Ummm... YUMMM!!!! We moved to the area a few months ago and have been struggling to find a good bagel/breakfast sandwich and cold brew coffee. The cold brew is on tap and so delicious! They even have simple syrup to sweeten the cold drinks. The bagels are what you expect from a bagel, and the sausage egg & cheese sandwich was perfect. And the maple bacon cream cheese is ridiculously delicious. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and the place has a very chill and inviting vibe with cool wall murals, paintings and decor.

The bagels are great, boiled then baked. Yummy! Service is fast, there can be a line so be patient. Breakfast sandwich's are eggselent! Coffee is very good, can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The prices and serving sizes are the best in Lenox. There is seating outside and inside. They have bar seating and tables. Very clean, the staff takes pride in keeping Bagel and Brew neat, clean, and welcoming. There is parking also! Don't miss this place!

My wife and I love to stop in whenever we are in the Berkshires. This place has killer bagel sandwiches and coffee. If we lived locally we would be here all the time. Fast and friendly service as well. Give this place a try !

Great little hole in the wall!! We stopped here on the way home to CT from a Belmont trip to Saratoga. The service was quick, the nitro cold brew was delicious as were the bagel breakfast sandwiches. Cool, quirky place inside that also has a bar and a beer garden!

This place is amazing. The bagels are outstanding: fresh, delicious, basically perfect. The sandwiches we all got (5 of 'em) were equally fabulous. Several of us said "this is the best _____ I've ever had." If you don't come here, ummm.... you dumb

Excellent smoked salmon (lox), everything bagel and vegetable, deluxe, onion bagel, wide choice of cream cheeses, fast moving line at 7:45 on Sunday morning, opens 7:00, 7 days a week, pleasant, efficient staff, indoor/outdoor seating, plenty of parking.

My family and I stopped in for breakfast and got bagel sandwiches and coffees. The food was good and the service was excellent. We are from out of town but could definitely feel the cozy welcoming vibe.

It's a very cute and quaint Bagel breakfast shop. They didn't have any cold Brews going on due to the fact that it was morning. They served me an iced coffee but didn't put any creamer sugar is in it and filled it pretty well to the top where I couldn't even add any which was a little disappointing a little annoying as well. I did end up ordering what I thought would be a turkey bacon egg and cheese on a bagel which just turned out to be a turkey sandwich meat which wasn't that great. And I wouldn't ordered it if I knew it was cold cut meat... I rather had the turkey bacon.

Delicious latte and smoked salmon bagel sandwich. Quick service. No shade outside with seating so we chose inside.

super cute and unique spot for a quick breakfast, delicious coffee, and good service. stopped in on my way home from dalton ma and got a cinnamon bagel with maple bacon cream cheese and a cold brew (on tap and so good). will definitely be stopping in again next time im in the area. hopefully ill be able to try some beers next time!

A nice spot to hang out and grab a quick bite to eat. Their bagels are fresh. We had the BLT with egg bagel. It was delicious.

Bagel and Brew is an all time favorite of mine and honestly serves some of the best bagels I've had on the east coast. I live in Connecticut but stopped by traveling through Massachusetts and was extremely impressed. The level of customer service was truly exceptional. Highly recommend!

Cute place. The bagels were delicious!! We had the Lumber Jack and the Super Nova, with pale ales. Will definitely come back over when in town! A must visit!

Happy to find this bagel gem with outdoor seating while visiting Lenox during the pandemic. Lots of signs for proper social distancing and hand sanitizing. Well organized and fast service. Even us New Yorkers thought the bagels were delicious.... and the server was lovely. Outdoor picnic tables were convenient and a nice atmosphere with soft music in the background.

Bagel was tasty but a big chunk of it was burned:/ I was disappointed but nonetheless will give the place another shot. Happy to support small businesses during these trying times

I got a pastrami sandwich for lunch at Bagel and Brew today. The pickles, the onions, the mustard, etc., were very tasty, then like an old Wendys ad, I wanted to scream "where's the pastrami"? Just one thin slice in the entire sandwich! Just one thin slice! Really? They should be ashamed of themselves. Don't waste your money

I cannot understand the raves about this place's bagels. They are meh, neither all that good tasting, nor having good texture, nor having crunch. I doubt they make them right, boil and bake. Better get it toasted--a way to compensate for a C- bagel. I asked for my bagel to be scooped out for my lox (a bit too salty) and cream cheese sandwich. It wasn't. Prices are good. Where can you get a double espresso for $2?

The breakfast bagel sandwiches here are ridiculously delicious! Mostly because their bagels are the bomb, but also because they have some really great toppings too! Bought a bunch for my family and they all loved them... the southwest, lumberjack, breakfast blt, steak & eggs.... all so good! Service is fast too.

Grabbed breakfast here. Bagels were fair. They didn't have any flavor and tasted like bread.

One of my favorite places to stop in the morning. Iced hazelnut is a must and the veggie cream cheese is my favorite.

The bagels were great and the tea and coffee were good, and I was grateful that they're open at 7:00 on a Sunday, when all of the other places are still closed. The counter staff was ridiculously friendly and cheerful for that time of the morning! There are a bunch of picnic tables outside which is lovely on an early midsummer morning. I even saw one of the staff bringing a bowl of water out for someone's dog. Very thoughtful.

While my husband and I were vacationing in the Berkshires we went to Bagel and Brew for our breakfasts. They had some of the tastiest breakfast sandwiches we have had. The Lumberjack was fantastic and I was full for hours. My husband got one of the smoked salmon sandwiches and it was perfect. The salmon was amazing and wasn't overpowering at all.

Great bagel and coffee shop in the Berkshires. If it's your first time the order is simple: the Southwest breakfast sandwich on a Cajun bagel and a hazelnut iced coffee. The Buffalo garlic cream cheese is a dream. Thank me later!

Really should be 3.5 stars. Read my note at the end to see where the extra half star went. Great bagels. Their day olds for $1.50 are still good to eat. You don't get. Choice of what's in the bags, but they are all good. They get their bagels from Bagels Too in Pittsfield, so they do run out. Note: they charge you to half and toast the bagel. Not cool.

I've only ever been for the "bagel" half of bagel & brew, but it is a fantastic place. Highly recommend trying the various bagel specials or cream cheeses.

Great bagels, great service, great coffee! We were so happy to find this place. Wish we could have made it back later in the day for their beer garden atmosphere. Fresh bagels and cream cheese. Helping are large and my husband enjoyed the bagel sandwich.

One of my favorite eateries in Lenox for breakfast and lunch. Good people and great bagels! Lumberjack is Devine..Try the coffee as well. Price is reasonable for the area

Nice fresh bagels and good coffee. That's most of what they got but really what more do you need. Limited menu done well.

Great filling breakfast! Love that we were able to get a filling breakfast that early in the morning. We grabbed our bagel sandwiches and ate them on one of the benches outside.

I wasn't very impressed by the bagels, but they have a variety of flavored cream cheeses and don't charge extra for those. Coffee is also one size and pretty cheap. Also not great, but Lenox could do with a few more down to earth spots. On its own, the bagel place would get 3 stars, but this is really two businesses in one. There is a beer garden in the back that serves bar food at night. The beer selection is pretty good, the garden is a nice place to have a beer, and the prices are reasonable for Lenox.

New kid on the block. Same location as Lenox Bagel, but with much nicer ambience. Nice bar setup with flatscreen tv and its warm inside. I rate their bagels #2 in the Berkshires.

Great small classic town to visit. Worth seeing. The food was well prepared and tasty. The coffee was excellent. Counter person was friendly, polite and upbeatI. I would have given it 4 stars if they had allied indoor seating.

Laid back, super casual, backyard vibe. A welcome low-key spot in Lenox with solid craft beer and great fries. Again, not your usual Lenox restaurant (not fancy, and that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned). Stopped in for a bagel in the morning as well. Fast breakfast service, great coffee.

Nice staff and parking available, but the bagels themselves were not good at all. They were very dry and hard. I would not recommend this place for bagels. And I don't know if it's a coincidence, but a truck was delivering frozen bagels while we were there.

This place is pretty good to grab a bagel. The shop itself is very small so if you are looking for somewhere to sit down there's a good chance the tables could be full (there's ~5 tables from what I saw). With that said, if it's nice weather, Lenox is a beautiful town and this place is perfect for a bagel to-go and picnic in a nearby park. The bagels themselves were good, I happened to get one after they were just freshly made, and they offered a variety of different sandwiches. I'm not really sure how the "brew" fits with place because again, it's small and I only saw 2 bar stools. Overall though, I'd recommend this place to grab a bagel.

One of the few places you can get a decent cappuchino here in the Berkshires. Their bagels are good too--fresh. Plenty of free parking, and they open fairly early, but you can expect to pay close to $10 for a nice coffee and a bagel and cream cheese. Have to say it's worth it.
