Great hot bagels and delicious sandwiches! Everything and Sesame are our go to with cream cheese. I highly recommend this spot and the staff are always super friendly. There aren't too many family run businesses anymore on Long Island and the quality here shows. Highly recommend!!

Google
Hmm giving this place 3 stars due to the fact that customer service was friendly and followed and prices was very reasonable. However place needs to improvise to me. Long line wait only to get inside and see that it’s really just a horrible Set up they got going on. Makes no sense why they take orders from one little counter when they have so much space to allow more customers to come inside the store and not being waiting outside. Also because of the very small counter space it adds to customers being all on top of each other. the bagel was soft and tasted fresh. But BEC just wasn’t that good compared to others I’ve had. Coffee is solid and not to forget it came free with my order.

Google
One of the best bagel stores on Long Island. Super friendly staff, amazing bagels and fast service. Pricing is reasonable and they offer a cash discount which is nice. One thing I miss however is they had a fun little Sue Bird item on their counter honoring her (as she's a hometown sports legend) and in recent years it seems to have disappeared. I think they need to bring back Sue! lol

Google
Disgusting! A clump of animal hair cooked into my bagel. How did nobody see this?! Ontop of this horrible experience, my entire order was completely wrong. The gentleman that helped me out had a blue shirt at around 1230, with long hair.

Google
Still a great deal for breakfast sandwiches. Good bagels and a variety of other options for breakfast and deli food. Always loved their hot chocolate!

Google
We've been going to Bagel Master since, well, before the kids were born... Over the last 15 years the food has been consistently delicious, with great service. It's wonderful to see small businesses that are part of the local community survive and thrive through the years. Highly recommended!

Google
A staple in the community for ions! Great bagels and friendly service. They have the best breakfast sandwiches and excellent hot chocolate. Wish the door were a little easier to open, especially if you're coming in with a stroller. (It closes quickly and it's very heavy) Be prepared to wait because the service is quite slow!

Google
The egg sandwich was ok. The coffee is excellent-probably one of the best cups on the island. I will definitely go back.

Yelp
Each and every time I am inthis area I give chance to t after chance bc if the 5 stas from people. Again ! BURNED bagel unacceptable. I saw they were making other orders and rushing But come on! It's obvious it's BURNT The tables were dirty no restroom.for customers and gloves are used for food & Cleaning and handling everything else.

Yelp
My doctor recommended Bagel Master since he used to live in the area. I live closer to Bagel Boss but I'll be stopping by Bagel Master more often. They have better seasoning and their bagels have a crunchy texture. I also like that they have adequate indoor seating so you can enjoy your bagel on site. My husband and I ordered their Whole Wheat Everything and Egg Everything bagels and they did not disappoint. I saw that they offer a Russian Pumpernickel bagel so I'll get that next time to see if it's any different from the traditional Pumpernickel.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to bagel places for me and my family and friends for so long! I've loved their sandwiches and varieties and it's always delicious for brunch! Everything comes out hot and the service is quick which is great. There's also a cash discount. They have a lot of support for the community such as the high school which is fun to see as well. Sometimes it's crowded but that makes sense for this popular place and is worth the wait!

Ed D.

Yelp
Under new management with a guy with an attitude. There is no low fat chicken salad as offered on delivery menus, they don't make it. Reduced fat cream cheese is also regularly not available, yet offered on menu. Matzoh ball soup was spoiled and I got food poisoning from it. Who knows what else they're misleading people about. Highly advise steering clear of this place. Not what it once was.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
Definitely not a master of bagels. More like a novice as these "bagels" were definitely not boiled. The texture of the "bagels" were that of a roll.

Yelp
Outstanding service and great food. We would definitely eat here again. Nothing fancy, but it's not supposed to be.

Yelp
Great food made quickly, Fair price and extremely friendly staff! One of the BEST bagel shop I have stumbled upon. As a construction worker traveling to different towns I've tried a lot of bagel shops and this one is definitely in the top 3! First I tried a egg sandwich on a bagel it was perfect, the bagel was great and it was ready in 5 minutes. Prices are very fair and the service it TOP NOTCH!!! Very very friendly staff. The only downside is I live an hour away. Thanks for the great food and being so nice!

Yelp
The food was amazing and I will never forget the taste! They sell many good drinks and food. It's also not only bagels, there is a lot of things that you can buy! I got the bagel with tuna, tomatoes, and lettuce! It was delicious!

Yelp
This place is awful!!! Went there in a pinch and discovered no parking..ok I parked at CVS and walked. The place was mobbed with parents and small, annoying kids that were standing in line, on iPad that were full blast. The people behind the counter were screaming next but people on line were too busy helping their offspring with their electronics! So I'm trying to give my order and finally, I'm done. I thought I would pay at the cashier by the door but the person taking my order took my money, in gloves, and gave me change. She did not change her gloves! Gross. So they are taking money and touching food with the same gloves. I wish I had seen this previously but the counter was so packed with crap on top, it was impossible!!

Yelp
FINAL STRAW last week. Came in asked for Bagel w/ cream cheese NOT TOASTED. (When you toast a bagel and spread cream cheese on it - the cream cheese gets all messy and falls out when you bite into it. UGH) . Medium aged lady behind counter assured me it would not be toasted. Passes order to another worker . I pay. I leave. I walk over to Starbucks - open it up -- and ................ TOASTED with cream cheese melted all over the inner wrapper . YUM! I guess I have to go back to the bagel shop next to the movie theatre (more expensive - but they never screw up) . Get it together B. Master.

Yelp
The Bagel Master.. the absolute best. They supported my school and gave us whatever we needed. The bagels are delicious and I was very happy!

Yelp
Have had Bagel Master on my radar for quite some time. Unfortunately did not live up to my expectations. The store is clean & the staff was beyond friendly. Bagels were fresh but very dry. Everything bagel was appropriately seeded & salted. Egg bagel had a great flavor but was dry. Would potentially give another shot. Parking lot is small but easy to navigate. Location is convenient & close to LIRR station.

RANIE R.

Yelp
This is my first time ordering delivery for a group from this place. From A to Z One word sums it up. OUTSTANDING... The bagels were very fresh even the next day. I will re-order from this place again. Prices also was very reasonable.

Irene V.

Yelp
Bagels are good thats why i go often. Service is great- nice friendly staff. Place is always busy.

Yelp
Extremely poor experience I was in line with a woman and her daughter who were extremely annoying asking if they had diet bagels and when she was told no she goes make it extra extra extra extra scooped repeated it after the order was done not even with a please or thank you so rude to the employee and then I had to go pick my bagel up from the other side of the counter when I had more food to pay for than a woman with a TooGoodToGo order literally rushed in front of me 2nd customer I was in line before her she was the last person there so that was my experience with that called in a Specific order which was a Everything flagel with chicken salad cheddar cheese lettuce Red not white onion(which I got a mix of) & tomato specifically red onions I asked for they give me chunks of tomato with a burned everything bagel which was disgusting because I ordered a everything Falgel which was extra $$ Won't be coming here again as I had ordered almost $40 extra worth of extra food for the family do better this was an awful experience after coming here for soooooo many years such a waste of time and now charge me extra as well here's the receipt Besides the grab and go containers of tuna salad egg salad and scallion cream cheese a ginger ale and tropicana orange juice I had bought Very disappointed. I'll stick with bagel boss or brendels of Syosset from now on Also would like to know why I was charged two separate charges on the receipt if you look at it very strange would like to know what that no tax $2.25 charge is? Not tax as you can see in the third photo it showing different charges for things I haven't even asked for or added on besides what I said bunch of thieves!

Yelp
The menu sports bagels, muffins, cookies, challah, blintzes, breakfast sandwiches, more savory daytime sandwiches, and a deli selection of all the salads (think tuna salad, egg salad, etc.), and all the smoked fish you can think of. Not to mention a bunch of cream cheese varieties to take home or smear on your bagel! I've never had Sable before (smoked cod), and theirs even beat out my usual favorite lox. If you're looking for something sweet, they only have 1 sweet bagel (cinnamon raisin) and 2 types of sweet cream cheeses (cinnamon raisin and walnut raisin)-- still delicious! The bagels are chewy and delightful untoasted, but you can also request toasted. They have egg bagels and gluten free varieties~ Service is utilitarian-- not the friendliest, can take a while to complete bigger orders, and they messed up our order both visits we made during the weekend (wrong cream cheese, forgetting bagels in our order). But they are quite busy! Bagel Master has been there for decades, but I think some way to make the ordering process more efficient would be beneficial. Good news is that you can call ahead with your order to pick up, especially on the weekends! I'd go back for their smoked fish and to try their other deli salads that make them stand out!

Yelp
Always fresh, everything. My favorite bagel store on Long Island for over 20+ years!!!

Yelp
this is my favorite breakfast spot on long island. having moved away from new york years ago, i am sorely in need of decent bagels... and don't even get me started on the lack of bacneggncheese in the world! bagel master is my go-to whenever i'm back here. bagels: perfectly seasoned, perfect texture. tasty and fluffy without being dry, dense, or bland. perfectly toasted--not too hard, not too soft. these have structure and flavor. try the special cream cheeses that they have... you won't regret it. bacneggncheese: perfectly melty and yummy. salt, pepper, butter. crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, gooey cheese. absolute perfection. my favorite meal, honestly. staff: on fire, truly. the storefront is small and cramped (with delicious goodies lining the walls and counters), especially when it gets busy. which, it seems to always be. every single person behind the counter is polite, friendly, helpful, and on-the-ball. so well-run. it's rare to find kind and efficient service with top-notch product. please stop in and don't forget to tip!

Yelp
While spending the weekend in LI, we tried two bagel spots in the area - Bagel Master and Village Bagel. At both places, I ordered a sesame bagel with lox, red onion, scallion cream cheese and cucumber. I found Bagel Master's bagel to be too hard, flat, and chewy for my taste. I much preferred the bagel from Village which was softer and fuller. However, the lox at Bagel Master was out of this world! Without the lox, this would be a two-star review, maybe one-star. A Village sesame bagel with Bagel Master lox would truly be the perfect sandwich. The sandwich came with a little side of macaroni salad which was way too sweet for me. I gave it to my wife and she couldn't eat it either. Blechhh. I wish I was given a choice of sides. Like other reviews have mentioned, I found Bagel Master's ordering system to be confusing. I thought I was in line but apparently I wasn't, and then when my order was finally taken, I wasn't told when or where to pay. So I stood off to the side, waited about 10 minutes before checking on my food near the window and they said it was ready and I would have to enter the line again to pay at the register up front. I also didn't find the service to be friendly in the least. The guy with the Russian-sounding accent was jerky and unwelcoming. Edge - Village.

Yelp
Plenty of breakfast options here along with a variety of bagels. It's best to check out their website so you can see their wide selection. Another reason I like this place is because of their assorted cream cheese selections. I've been fortunate during the morning hours where it is not to crowded and I am able to order quickly and receive my order quickly. The parking is small perhaps about 10 spaces but no worries CVS is right next door so I've parked there and head over here.

Yelp
Close to home. My favorite whole wheat everything bagels . Only problem is, every time I go there, no matter how big or small the order is, it is NEVER correct! I stopped going here for a while because of this and said, let me try once more. BIG mistake, I even wrote down my order and handed it to the girl. Came home, opened everything up, not right! Yuk! Won't be back.

Yelp
You won't find better service or bagels anywhere else. This place is a gem!!! Armen is an amazing business owner who keeps the refrigerators stocked with myriad beverage options and the shelves full of delicious bakery goods. Back in NY for only two days we stopped in for breakfast our first morning and had delicious hot coffee and bagels. We left talking about how good the bagels were and how friendly the owner was to us even though we were just passing through. When we arrived on our second morning, Armen greeted us and thanked us for coming back. He remembered us and congratulated us on the wedding for which we'd returned to NY. He even presented us with bagels as a parting gift to take back to NC. If you are anywhere close to Bagel Master in Syosset you really need to treat yourself (I recommend the baked salmon) by stopping in and enjoying great food served up with a smile.

Yelp
Great fresh bagels, salads and sides. Go to place in the area. Staff is courteous and efficient. Only criticism, the fresh orange juice has been turned on more than one occasion. Management has taken the complaint graciously and extended a credit, but may be time to switch their distributor.
google avatar

Yelp
I took on their brand new sandwhich challenge. It was filled with bacon, eggs, cheese, ham, and sausage and all in massive Challah bread! It was hefty but every lb of it was extremely tasty! The owner could not have been a nicer guy which always makes the experience better.

Yelp
This is my hands down, absolutely favorite bagel store on Long Island. I've been coming here for 25 years and it's just as good as it was then. Egg sandwiches are delicious - eggs are fluffy. The bagels are slightly doughy inside and have a bite on the outside. My absolutely favorite is the everything flagel. This time I got it with cream cheese, lox, red onion and tomatoes. So good! I devoured the whole gigantic bagel. I washed it down with some fresh coffee. My husband and I fight about which bagel store is better (Bagel Master or his local store where he grew up) but I will never let him win!
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
I'd been seeing Bagel Master on insta with amazing pictures so I went out of my way to check it out. It was good, but really not what the pictures make it out to be. Usual selection of bagels and baked goods. I got a sesame and everything flat with veggie cream cheese.

Yelp
Pick up window both inside and walk up pickup window outside. They are very responsive to instagram dms

Yelp
Bagel Master is the absolute best. A staple of my childhood and STILL one of my favorite places. There is nothing that particularly stands out when you first walk in. The ambiance is authentic, nothing flashy. Just your local deli-style bagel joint where you can run into people from around town or pick up a copy of the paper. I love that it's all about the food and the people here. AND it is maybe one of the only places on Long Island where I don't feel guilty eating out. The price is super reasonable and they often give you a free bagel, coffee, or side with whatever you order. Have I mentioned they have not been closed a single day in years? The bagels are fresh and varied in flavor. I always get a toasted whole wheat everything flagel (yes they have flat bagels! I like them because they are a little crisper) with egg and cheese, tuna salad, or lox and cream cheese, but if I'm feeling a healthy meal they also have good lettuce wraps or salads! And ALWAYS their hazelnut or very vanilla iced coffee (I sometimes go out of my way when I am not close just to get their delicious iced coffee. SO GOOD). I put some almond milk in mine but it's great black too. My favorite part about Bagel Master aside from the food is the people who work there. The owner, Vadim, really makes an effort to get to know his customers and is so easy to talk to. I do not know the names of the ladies who work the counter but they are so sweet and have been there for years. They know my coffee order, my sister's coffee order, and my mother's coffee order. When people ask me about the town of Syosset, you better believe Bagel Master is one of the first things I tell them. Truly makes Syosset go round. AND the entire inside is covered with photos of Syosset High School winning sports teams from the last few years. Does not get any more wholesome. We love you Bagel Master!

Yelp
They personally made up for the mistakes, made a sandwich properly and even blessed it up with breakfast. Which I really appreciate! Thank you.

J W.

Yelp
Love this business! Their bagels are delicious! I especially love their tuna salad! (and I'm very picky about tuna salad) The owner is super nice and accommodating. I have an out-of-town relative who misses Bagel Master's bagels and specialty cream cheeses. He shipped a 'care package' overnight for us to her! So grateful!

Debra B.

Yelp
Awesome bagels and flats and great service- willing and able to take on complex orders!
google avatar

JJ R.

Yelp
Close to LIRR. Now forgetting salt, pepper napkins, and a fork for my lox. Btw no tables at a distance? Teach staff to add condiments. The amount of lox was 1/2 of last time.

Alex Y.

Yelp
I've been going to Bagel Master for almost a year. The store has been a fixture in the community for over three decades. It has become part of my mine now also. I've never seen so much friendly interaction with customers here than any other business. Ever. I've always been happy with the service, but I'm equally impressed by their wide-ranging offerings. Their cream cheeses are amazing. Their fish and lox is of the highest quality and fresh daily. There is nothing like a perfectly heated bagel or even sandwich just how you like it. They're also always trying new things and creating a new dish or two. They'll have special menus for holidays. On the shelves, you'll also see items from local food businesses all over Long Island. Lastly but not least, personally my favorite part is the bits of sports decorations. Natives like Sue Bird and Adam Schefter have visited in the last month! There's just more than meets the eye with Bagel Master. It really is more than just a bagel store.

Carolyn C.

Yelp
I asked for a pizza bagel. I told him that I am allergic to onions and asked if there were onions in it. He said no. The cost for the bagel and diet coke was $9.82. I got into my car and while waiting at the red light I took two bites. Then I looked and before my next bite I saw two pieces of onions in the red sauce staring at me. This can be dangerous for people with allergies!! So I had to drive back (the cost of gas is not cheap) and returned the bagel and bottle of coke. I pointed to the onions in the tomato sauce. I told him to credit my card the full amount and gave him both items to throw away. I just checked my credit card statement. He credited me -$0.82!!! So I paid $9 for a bagel that contained something I am allergic to that they refused to credit me for. I refuse to pay for gas to drive back there again so I will file a dispute with the credit card. But this is not a way to run a business. They put my health in jeopardy.

Yelp
I stopped at Bagel Master the other morning for coffee and a bagel to go. The line was very long and the servers behind the counter very slow, much preferring to chitchat with the regulars than to actually fill orders. The coffee is just OK and the bagels are tasty but rather on the small side.
google avatar

Clifford C.

Yelp
Best bagels ever! Came home to visit my parents and one of only stops is to visit bagel master (even though way out of my way). Don't know why, but these bagels are better then all others. I've been coming here for more then 30 years, and glad to bring home some of my memories to my colleagues in Georgia, so they taste greatness
google avatar

Joan T.

Yelp
Thank God it's only about 5 weeks until January when I can get back on weight watchers ( haha! That's a weird perspective & way to look at it I know :-). In any case.. I've been allowing myself to indulge in our Lawg Island bagels on a regular basis lately. I Went at about 11:00 am on a Wednesday & what I would think would still be a good time of day to get a relatively fresh bagel . They were just okay . When I go to my usual bagel places closer to home I seem to get them very fresh at all hours of day. I wouldn't not come here again but if I had the choice.... I'd wait till I was back in my hometown to indulge .
google avatar

Yelp
If you want the usual tasteless, wonderbread sort of Bagels that have become the standard on LI don't come here! If you are interested in what a REAL Bagel should taste like, and the proper texture of quality ingredients....close your eyes and TASTE the WW, the Pumpernickel, the Rye, etc. flours, NOT the all taste the same mostly white, tiny crumb, super soft bagels fore sale in most places! I have no Jewish ancestry, but have lived on LI most of my life and I will tell you if you want to know what a TRUE bagel should taste like, what the "mouth feel" should be then you must come to the experts! Since I started to work in the area over 30 years ago I have found the only Bagel worthy of the name. Yes, parking can be an issue, yes the line in the store can be out the door, and though the staff tries it's hardest somtimes an overly fussy, feeling entitled well dressed customer can and will take VERY long to be satisfied, but if you want a 'proper' bagel these are the trials one must endure! The silver lining is that if you get the same simple thing every time and are there fairly regularly the staff begins to see you 'first' and knowing you have your proper amount of money ready they will often jump a customer or 2 to pass you a bag expecting your $ in same exchange! I have frequently parked a full size school bus in the CVS parking lot, picked up my 'naked' everything WW flat and been back on the bus in under 5 min.! LOVE and MISS you guys @ Bagel Master! Home in Amityville there are 3 'bagel' shops and not one comes close to your Bagels!!!

Yelp
Love their bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Simple but delicious top notch place. Fast delivery as well.

Yelp
Bagels themselves are pretty good. I usually got one with eggs or smoked lox whenever I went to get one. Do I think they're the best bagels I've ever had? Def not.. but for the price, it's pretty reasonable and their variety is good.. I gave 1 star though because the customer service is absolutely atrocious. Unless they truly know you personally as a customer and you're either their friend or inside their inner social circle, they're either neutral towards you or straight up treat you like garbage. And that's ridiculous considering we are all your customers at the end of the day, paying with our own money, and I had even been coming here on & off for 5+ years due to the location proximity. It's wild to think I would encounter high school-like cliques, as petty as they are, within a bagel store like this but here we are. An older male employee with glasses (who I now think may be the owner of the store?) gave me such an attitude, walked off mid-sentence when I was still ordering, and even had the audacity to throw my card back at me on the counter as if he was grossed out by either the card or me... If I was rude or doing anything offensive, I wouldn't even be complaining. It's the fact that I was politely waiting in line and then ordering normally just like any other person that makes me wonder what was going on with him that day or if his personality/customer service behavior is just regularly like that. On top of that, a few of my orders were missing items or not done according to how I had ordered it. Customer service, at least to me, inevitably makes up a huge part of the consumer experience and luckily for me, this place is nowhere near the only bagel store on LI. Needless to say, I will never be back anymore.

Yelp
Awesome service and such a friendly staff! Food is consistently terrific. Not to mention how serious they take the pandemic. Every employee is wearing a mask. Great local spot that cares.
google avatar

Jillian S.

Yelp
Great staff amazing bagels AND flagels. Local favorite NOT a fan of their coffee (it tastes pre sweetened and weak in my opinion) but i know many people who love it. Everything else is amazing.
google avatar

Ronit M.

Yelp
I came back once more after my last time there, and you have earned a star back because the lox was finally up to par again, however two days ago my family and I had your bagels (plain) and they were salty! Your customer service team has improved, though it was slightly confusing with who exactly was helping me because two people were semi-working together. I almost made a double order because they were not well coordinated. Another peeve is that last year you used to have some of the best fresh squeezed grapefruit juice on the shelves. What happened with that? Now it's only OJ. Please bring back the goodness! I miss the enjoyment I had in the past coming to your breakfast-brunch-lunch venue! Hopeful eats!

Deborah C.

Yelp
Bagel Master has the multigrain sunflower flagel.. I now have a few families booked on them!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Best bagel store ever. I've been going here for years and it's always fresh and never disappoints!! From bagels to coffee to catering they do it all. Love this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Been coming here for years. Bagel Master is the best of the best! Bagels are always hot. All the salads are always fresh. We used them a couple times for family occasions for catering and they come as planned and hook it up everytime. You can tell the owner cares about quality because he's there everyday early morning for years making sure everything is running well. I appreciate that the quality has stayed consistent for years since I started coming. All in all solid joint, great selections of spreads. This good review has been coming for years, I finally left it! Thanks to all the Team at Bagel Master
google avatar

Jerry S.

Yelp
For the most part we have enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches. HOWEVER, we feel employees gloves should constantly be changed after handling money and credit cards. Investing in a couple more boxes of gloves would go a long way in customer appreciation as well as sanitary measures.

Yelp
You learn more about a business when a mistake happens. Without getting into it, Bagel Master made a mistake today but when they found out... they corrected it right away. A one star review now a five star. Thanks, Happy New Year!

Yelp
Picture I'm posting is just one of the many reasons I love bagel master. Ever had a bacon egg and cheese that fell apart and you gotta eat it with a fork? Not bagel master! Their sandwiches stay together very well and they are very generous with their bacon and avocado, something a lot of bagel stores don't do. Every time I come in they always get my order right from me ordering light cream cheese and not putting a lot or too little, or me asking for a light bagel and not getting a dark-more burnt one. I've come in at 6am getting ready to drive back to my college and the fresh and warm bagels in the early morning always are the best. I really enjoy their tuna salad which is not too mayo-y. They have so many different selections and their iced coffees are always delicious and never burnt. I'll never forget coming here before high school for bagels and coffee and even moving from syosset to Huntington after high school I still find myself here all the time for a great bacon egg and cheese!
