Best bagels. They sell sandwiches and bagels with spreads (cream cheese, butter).

WOW! i’ve been wanting to try this place out for quite a while and today I finally did. I was really impressed. The girl who helped me was super sweet and helpful! I got an everything bagel with the cacio e pepe cream cheese! It was a total flavor bomb! I absolutely loved it, I could’ve even used more of that cream cheese because it was so yummy! I can’t wait to come back and try more flavors!!

Found this place on Instagram and just had to try it. Probably the best bagel I've ever had. Great variety, very fresh, and friendly staff.

Google
Absolutely loved the bagels here!! The cream cheeses were such unique flavors and they were basically flavor bombs in your mouth! The scallion cream cheese was amazing. I can’t wait to come back and try other flavors!!

Google
Food was DELICIOUS but I recommend ordering two things- the bagels are just a little small. So the only reason why it’s not 5 stars is because it’s a bit pricey for the amount of food you get. But it’s so good! Will definitely be back. Service was great, line was long (you take a ticket and wait for your number to be called), but it’s NYE and a Sunday, so I don’t blame them. Ended up spending $45 on 5 bagels total.

Google
The bagel sandwiches and cream cheese at Bagel Union are amazingly delicious. They also have some unique bagel flavors such as cherry crunch. The bagels are good but not quite too the NYC bagel standard as they are a bit bready. Cream cheeses and condiments are terrific. The front of the store is spacious so that the line can wind around. There are some stools at a counter in front and some tables outside on the side where there is parking but this is more of a takeout place. Fast service and easy to pay. Def recommend.

My wife and I stopped here for brunch and being from the Jersey/NY area, it felt just like home. The ambience, staff (shout out to Delaney who took excellent care of us) and of course the bagels were what we missed and were craving. We got the Rachel but Delaney kindly hooked us up with a salt bagel paired with their triple whipped cream cheese while we waited for our order. They truly have brought the NY bagel to St. Louis and it’s spot on! The cream cheese phenomenal, the Rachel was hitting on every level and the side of bacon I got for myself was the perfect finishing touch with our entire meal. Thank you again to Bagel Union and Delaney + Staff for making our first experience both a delicious and lasting one!

Google
Bagel Union is a fun shop that serves great bagels! I ordered a tzitzelnickel bagel (it had a taste similar to rye bread) with cherry schmear and it was fantastic! The combo was so good......and the cherry schmear is a brilliant idea. First time I've ever encountered it. I also had a cinnamon raisin bagel with regular schmear and it was just as good. My wife ordered an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. I had a bite and the flavor combination was very good. The scallions added a nice twist to the flavor. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. We didn't know what we wanted and definitely didn't feel rushed (it was fairly busy). They helped us make our decisions. There is plenty of space if you'd like to dine in as well. We would return to Union Bagel if we're in the area again. Well done!

Google
A lot has been said about this place. I will start off saying the bagels were absolutely delicious-chewy on the outside but soft on the inside. There is limited seating inside (only at a bar) so you will likely need to eat this to go as the mornings are very busy. You will get a generous portion of cream cheese. I found it to be too much and scraped 1/4 off. I got one bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was pretty onion-y. I also did not care for the coffee which tasted very burnt. I was surprised they did not offer an egg/cheese sandwich on a bagel, but not the end of the world. I will be back for bagels, they are probably the best in town.

Yelp
This place is always busy, so it took me awhile to stop by, but it was totally worth the wait. I stopped by at around 9am on a Saturday, and there was a decent crowd already, but the line went reasonably fast. I ended up ordering the Rachel on an Everything bagel, and it was one of those sandwiches that absolutely makes a visit. A little pricy, but oh so good. I can see why they're so popular.

Yelp
Fantastic bagel spot with fresh, house-made ingredients serving incredibly flavorful and unique sandwiches (opened and closed). Walk-in, pick a number and order from the counter. Coffee options are available. Daily specials written on butcher paper by the main register. No seating inside, but layout is designed for efficiency and to go orders. What I ordered: - the Delox on the special Sambal bagel and scallion schmear (4.75/5): WOW, this was terrific. I opted for the hot smoked Sockeye salmon. The sambal bagel was very tasty with just a tad bit of spice. Great sandwich!

Yelp
My friend and I ordered Bagel Union for pick up last week and were so glad that we could order ahead of time online. When I arrived to pick up my order, I followed the instructions and went in through the parking lot door and saw the counter where the workers were at. I realize that they were super busy, but it was disappointing to have to wait as long as I did to be greeted by anyone. The person who was helping me was also helping a few other people so I gave her some grace. I said I was there for a pick up order and she did help me as quick as she could, but some of the order wasn't ready yet so she told me to wait al little longer (which I did). When the order was all ready, someone else handed me the bag(s) and I was on my way. Little did I know that when I opened the bag to enjoy my bagel, my friend and I noticed that we did not have any of the pre-ordered cream cheese that we needed for our bagels. Oops! Luckily, I was only about 10 minutes away, so we drove back so that I could go back inside to ask for the cream cheese. When I got inside, I waited (again) to be acknowledged and then the person who helped me was one of the bagel maker(s) (they were assembling bagel sandwiches), so I appreciated how he did look over to ask if I needed something and they did seem very nice. When I mentioned how we did not get our cream cheese, I showed him the email with my order and he quickly got them for me and I was on my way. I guess it would be nice if there could be a true pick up counter so that for people who order ahead, we are not stuck waiting in the line. I know the wait isn't too long, but it would be nice if there was a dedicated counter for pick ups. Were the beagles delicious? Yes! I loved the cherry bagel with cherry cream cheese and I also ordered an everything bagel and a plain bagel and a blueberry bagel. All were absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to order a sandwich next time!

Yelp
So exciting to have a great bagel shop in STL! The bagels are much smaller than New York style, but they are delicious and the cream cheese is SO GOOD, very fresh and creamy. The scallion cream cheese is my favorite, I got that on a whole wheat bagel. We also got a plain bagel with jalapeño cream cheese on the side (it had fresh and pickled jalapeños inside of it! Not too spicy, great flavor). Excited to go back again and try some new options, may even try a sweet one next time! They're pretty quick, but beware of a long line on weekend mornings! This isn't really a sit down place, most people were grab and go

Yelp
I'm perpetually on the lookout for good bagel spots, and I'm glad to have found one in Bagel Union! I didn't get to visit the location but was lucky enough to get a number of things brought home. Although, I was told that it's a number ticket system to be called to place your order because it's so packed. I got to try the bagel chips, The Delox sans capers on an everything bagel, and another everything bagel with the cacio e Pepe schmear, prosciutto, and red peppers. The Delox was so, so good, and I loved the use of the lemon oil. I didn't love the lattermost bagel as much, but that's likely because I had it hours after it was made. The bagels were perfect texture with the slightest crunch. The amount of shmear was perfect and it didn't overshadow the rest of the toppings. The bagel chips made for excellent vessels for an extra lox I had to pick off (they did not skimp on the lox or any of the ingredients). The only critique I have of all of the products is that everything erred on the saltier end. My mouth is watering thinking of their bagels, and I'm so excited to visit and try more items on their menu.

Yelp
Can only rate this based on what was at my office today... but it was THE JAM, y'all. I had a cherry crunch bagel with chocolate chip cookie cream cheese, and was not disappointed (I'm a sweet over savory person if you couldn't tell). After looking at the menu, and being raised by a Brooklyn dad... I do think the prices are a bit high for what the product is, but do what you will with that info. Either way, the bagel and schmeer hit the spot this AM!

Yelp
During my visit to St. Louis, I decided to check out Bagel Union with a friend who shares my love for bagels. Let me tell you, it definitely lived up to our expectations! I ordered a lox bagel with jalapeno cream cheese on an everything bagel, and it was delicious. The prices were reasonable, and our order came out quickly. The atmosphere was fantastic, with lots of blue accents and modern branding that wasn't overdone. It's definitely a cute spot with plenty of fresh bagel options. It even reminded me of one of my favorite bagel spots back in Milwaukee, Allie Boys. Overall, Bagel Union is a must-visit for bagel lovers in St. Louis!

Yelp
I recently tried this amazing bagel spot and was mad I waited so long. Their bagel & lox was out of this world! The combination of the fresh bagel, perfectly smoked lox, and all the delicious toppings was simply phenomenal. Plus, the service was really good too, which made the whole experience even better. Enjoyed the traditional bagel & lox and the bagel & lox with their jalapeño cream cheese. Phenomenal! Must try, ASAP!

Yelp
Finally got to try this bagel spot! We have attempted in the past but they have been sold out. Keep an eye on their Instagram for update. When we stopped in there was a line but you get a number and wait to be called. They line moved fairly quickly. We ordered the Delox and the Chili Crab Special. It was so good! We took some bagels home and loved them. A great spot for your bagel fix
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best bagels in St. Louis! I pre-ordered breakfast so I could skip the line when I arrive. Go in the side door for pre-orders to skip the line. My favorite bite was the de-lox open faced bagel. The amount of dill and onion was perfect against the fresh lox and cream cheese!!

Yelp
I had an appointment in Webster and noticed Bagel Union. I was planning on getting here and the fortuitous timing made it happen sooner rather than later. The small shop was quite busy. Piles of bagels on display under the counter. A modest selection of cream cheese as well as containers of sandwich fillings like Spicy Tuna Salad. Ordering and check out is fast and easy. I am very very excited about a real Bagel bakery since they are virtually nonexistent in St. Louis. Bagel Union did not disappoint. The Salt Bagel is crunchy and chewy with the right amount of Kosher salt. The other flavors are generously coated with Poppyseeds, sesame seeds etc. The cream cheese is dense and tasty. A bit pricey but the cost is reasonable for the quality of the food and the staff friendly, helpful and

Yelp
Let me start off with the positives. The cherry bagel was delicious. The smear to bagel ratio is on point. My children and I all tried different bagels and none of us were disappointed. The decor is cute and the staff is super friendly. The location is difficult to get to and parking is minimal. There is only a bar type sitting area that looks right into the sun. There is 1 table to sit outside when it isn't hot outside. I was not impressed with the coffee either. I do appreciate a good bagel/coffee combo and only enjoyed the bagel. My son loved it, though, so he'll be back.

Yelp
Love this place! Highly recommend cherry crunch bagel with cherry cream cheese great service and great spot for a quick morning grab!

Yelp
I was so excited to finally try bagel union! I got the delox sandwich on an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and oh my it was the best lox sandwich i've had! My boyfriend got the cherry crunch with plain cream cheese and said it was so good. From entering the restaurant to leaving with our food it probably took 15 minutes so not bad at all. The only bad thing is the parking is terrible. Once you get into the lot it's so hard to maneuver out, would not recommend using their lot.
google avatar

Yelp
My new favorite go to when I am in the area for lunch or breakfast! I tried the staff pick of the day: cherry crunch bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. It was perfect! The lunch special is also delicious

Yelp
I FINALLY made it here this morning, and WOW! I've been wanting to come forever, and decided to go after my workout class. Who doesn't love a good dose of carbs after a workout :) To start, parking is a little tricky. There are a few spots in a super tight parking lot. It's nestled in a corner at big bend and elm, which is hard to get in and out with the big intersection being right there. I recommend parking on the street. I walked in and grabbed a number. I checked out the menu that's featured on the wall. The menu on the wall features the bagel types, and the clipboards are the sandwiches. They also have hand held menus that are more in depth. Customer service was super friendly. My number was called and I ordered an everything bagel (my favorite) with plain cream cheese (I'm basic). I was in the mood for a breakfast sandwich and only saw options with lox, which I'm not a huge fan of. I wish they offered a bigger variety- but I do understand that is the traditional offering! My bagel was quickly assembled and my name was called. Staff was super kind, loved the customer service. I made my way out to the car and holy smokes it was definitely the best bagel I've ever had!!! I don't know how they do it, but the bread was so incredibly fresh, and the everything seasoning was on another level. I also don't know what they do to the cream cheese but it was amazing- definitely not something you can go and purchase at the grocery store. It all just worked really well together. they have lunch sandwich options so I'm looking forward to trying those next.

Yelp
I avoided the crowds by getting here before 9 on a Saturday. I needed to try all the flavors so I asked for a baker's dozen with onion, everything, sesame, plain, and cherry crunch and some cream cheese. They bagged them up for me and offered freezer bags. I packed them up and headed home. I was kinda hoping to sit there and enjoy my bagel, but that really wasn't the vibe. It's definitely a grab & go setup. I went home, sliced my bagel and shmeared it with some cream cheese, took a bite and was transported to NYC. Delicious!
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Tasted great, very friendly staff, long line (35 minutes total wait time from stepping in to getting our order) at 8:00am on a saturday. I'm not familiar with bagels enough to say like "oh this is definitely a New York bagel, etc" so I don't know if it's fair to me to say if it's better than other places. But they tasted good, the Iggy ( hot smoked salmon ) had some bomb flavors. The wifey says "I could have used more cream cheese in my bagel" Overall, we liked it, but not sure if we would wait 30 mins for a takeout bagel place. We'll be back if we're in the area though!
google avatar

Yelp
Finally we have authentic NYC-style bagels in STL!! I used to go on an adventure around town to find delicious bagels and cream cheese, but this adventure always ended in such disappointment...not anymore!! These bagels are chewy, slightly crisp on the outside, and come in a great variety of flavors. My favorite is absolutely the salt bagel which is the boujee cousin of a plain bagel, but with flake salt added on top. Don't sleep on the cream cheese, bagel chips, or bagel sandwiches. Their cream cheese is silky smooth and not sticky unlike the kind from the grocery store, while the bagel sandwiches are stuffed with a variety of salads. I got the chicken salad (which is the same one they serve at Union Loafers), which was of course delicious. Oh and the bagel chips are amazing!! A million times better than anything you'll buy from the store, they're thin enough for a great mouth feel while also being sturdy enough to hold dips.

Yelp
Bagels were so good! We got 2 to eat that day and a bunch to take home. The deluxe lox one was something I had been craving and it really hit the spot! It took a long time to get to the front of the line but totally worth the wait!
google avatar

Shelby R.

Yelp
Had to wait a bit because there was a long line but they were quick & efficient. The cherry crunch bagel was insanely good!
google avatar

Alina S.

Yelp
I love bagel union. It is soooo good. I love the chewy bagels. The salt and everything are my favorites. I am a huge fan of lox so I get that every time. Service is quick and I like the fast casual environment!
google avatar

Lynn A.

Yelp
Food: 4 Stars Service: 5 Stars Firm crust and chewy center, these guys were worth the 40 min wait at @bagelstl . I loved the scallion cream cheese schmear that wasn't overpowering and just melted in my mouth. The Delox sandwich (bagel, cream cheese, lox) was simple and satisfying. My Goldie Lox sandwich (bagel, cream cheese, smoked beets) was my favorite as it was a little salty, savory, and tart. Be prepared to take a number and wait a bit, but I promise it'll all be worth it in the end.

Yelp
If your a bagel lover and want to smell fresh ingredients THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Arrive on time before the good flavors run out. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Do not hesitate to ask questions or substitutions to your order. I would recommend going sooner rather than later. This will be a hot spot come summer time! Plain Bagel w/ cream cheese- 9/10 Bagel is the highlight while the schemer was 6/10 nothing crazy. Cherry Crunch Bagel / incredible just plain. The flavor of the cherry highlights pallet. The crunch of each bite lead you to wanting more as the inside was soft delicate touch. The Detox / this was my favorite of the three of you enjoy fish. My choice of bagel was everything. The spices from the bagel complimented the toppings that water your mouth for another bite. I will say this the best fish I have had in long time. EVERYTHING IS SO FRESH!!!!!
google avatar

Eric N.

Yelp
The bagels are fresh but pretty chewy for my taste. My head hurt from chewing so much. Good flavor in everything bagel and cherry crunch. Service was pleasant. Nice tile floor/decor and display case. They have a ticket system for ordering which works well and an ice water / coffee station. 2 Everything Bagels w/ Reg Shmear ($4.50 each), 1 Cherry Crunch ($3), 1 small tub of chicken salad ($12), plus tax and $2 tip = $26 Pretty pricey for what you get. The $12 small tub of chicken salad tasted great, but fill up the tub! Tarragon, whole grain mustard, pickles and onion. Beyond price, the reason for only 3 stars is I just couldn't get over how chewy the bagels were. Definitely give them a try.
google avatar

Kate K.

Yelp
I am visiting family that live in St. Louis and heard about Bagel Union. I love a good bagel! We went a few days before xmas slightly after they open. It was a mad house! Parking can be hard- although they have a small lot. You take a number right when you walk in- reminds me of like a deli counter. There is some seating, but really most seem to take carryout. We only tried their bagels, but they have much more- sandwiches, deli meat, chicken salad, tuna salad, cream cheese, etc. We got an everything bagel, sesame, salt, carrot cake, cherry crunch, plain, onion, and chihuahua cheese. Oddly the chihuahua cheese one you can only get in store waiting in line. They wont let you preorder it, like the rest of the flavors. These bagels are awesome! Bursting of flavor- texture wise crunchy and then chewy. They have some classic and unique flavors. I waited about 25 min inside before I was served. Absolutely would come back here! Overall experience 4.5/5 (its annoying you cant give half ratings)
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Exceeded expectations! Got there early and they had me in and out with some amazing bagels. Tried a few (cherry crunch, everything, and a wheat bagel) all were amazing. They let you sample cream cheese and all were very good!

Yelp
Soft, pillowy bagels with a lightly crisp exterior and a generous dusting of your favorite classic bagel topper!! These bagels give Einstein's a run for their money. Not too dense, and have nice air pockets that help keep them light. The bagels have a very neutral flavor, perfect for making sandwiches or layering with a nice cream cheese. The flavored bagels are generously coated, but the everything bagel was maybe a bit too salty. Otherwise, highly recommend coming home and lightly toasting the bagel before eating-- it helps make the crispy exterior more pronounced and the soft interior even softer. It's the closest STL may get to a New York bagel without actually being in NYC. I wish they could cut the bagels for us!! Their bagel sandwiches look really good, but just wasn't out vibe for our first visit. Plus, they're a tad on the pricier side. We'd recommend a pass on the cream cheese though, it's on the blander side and tastes almost too creamy... doesn't have the tartness you want from a good cream cheese/schmear. These bagels with Einstein's schmear... oh man... Rating: 4/5, great bagels, sub-par cream cheese. Is it worth waiting hours in line for these? We'll let you decide! For reference, we arrived at 7:45a to a pretty decently sized line. We waited outside for about 20-25 minutes, and waited another 15-20 minutes after picking up our ticket. We walked out of the store with our bagels at 8:30a. If you buy a sandwich, it will take longer for your order to be ready!
google avatar

Brianna N.

Yelp
Sooooo worth the hype and wait! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients & the love in these bagels. Yea they're expensive, but for the quality of product they're putting out, it's worth the splurge! The line moves quicker than you think- I arrived at 9am on a Sunday, and only waited about 30 minutes to order. Their open & closed faced sandwiches are incredible- we tried the the Iggy (salmon, scallion cream cheeese, chili crip & cilantro salad) on a toasted salt bagel, and the Salmon Roe (scallion cream cheese, roe, pickled shallot & dill) on a toasted plain bagel. The fish was so insanely fresh, the bagels had a crunchy outside & chewy inside, and they had the perfect amount of herbs to balance it all out. Plus, they have drip coffee for you to serve yourself while you wait, then you just pay when you check out. I thought that was really nice. I'm looking forward to going again and stocking up on some different bagel flavors and some of their salmon cream cheese!

Yelp
Was fortunate to score some bagels and bagel sandwiches during a one day pop up on New Year's Day and I am now eagerly anticipating the opening of Bagel Union! The big star was the West Coast bagel sandwich I had (hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had) featuring white cheddar, egg, braised kale with delicious sausage and a spicy mayo. The bagels were perfect - the right amount of chew with crisp exterior. Happy to see Union Loafers expand because everything they serve up is out of this world and made with love and the best quality.
google avatar

Michaela E.

Yelp
Waited in line for just under an hour this morning at Bagel Unions soft opening. Everyone in line was so friendly and when they opened their doors everyone didn't crowd in so you could not walk. We grabbed a number and looked in the case at the bagel selection. It was hard to decide what to get so we left with seven bagels and a tub of cream cheese! The staff was SO friendly and efficient! They did not have any plain bagels, but they were telling people about 10-15 minutes and they had no problem waiting. I love when places are up front about the wait time. We will definitely be back to get bagels and cream cheese!

Yelp
When our friends from out of town visit they always complain about our sub par bagel scene in STL. But Bagel Union is a nice reprieve from our bad, overly bready, dense bagels. They are crisp on the outside light and chewy on the inside and they came out warm and fresh. Today I bought the tzitzelnickle which had a lovely corn meal crust and dark rye in the middle, plain bagels which were fantastic and cherry crunch and cinnamon raisin which were a tasty sweet option and are all fantastic toasted. There were just a few varieties of flavors but they were spot on with flavor. The only bagel we weren't wowed by was the everything, which had pungent garlic and onion and overly salty in our opinion. They also have sandwiches and schmear, bagel chips, and a variety of house made cream cheese. I also recommend the delox, (salmon and lox on tzitzelnickle). The store is tiny and when crowded you wait a considerable amount of time to be served. However, the service is friendly and efficient with a number system. I would recommend taking your food to go when crowded there is very limited space to eat comfortably. There is also very little parking and don't even attempt to park in the tiny lot when busy, (There is more parking around the corner in the back if you don't mind walking about 100 yards). Also beware that it is quite pricey, but regardless of these small set backs it is still well worth the effort of getting quality bagels.

Yelp
Bright, open space. We went around 1:30 on Sunday. They were out of a few options but we were able to pick one to try. Ordered an everything and a salt, both with scallion cream cheese. I loved the flavors and the bagel had a great texture. Both bagel types were really good. Looking forward to trying a sweet option and a bagel sandwich. Everything was great but expected no less from the team behind Union Loafers!

Yelp
A staple. A favorite. A classic. Ive always been a bagel girlie and these hit the spot every single time. Love the speedy ordering and the pricing for their bagel packs. A true gem in STL
google avatar

Dave C.

Yelp
Classic bagel shop. It's not a full-blown bakery, just bagels, bagel sandwiches, and shmear. That being said, it was exactly what we were hoping for! Little local shop with great NY style bagels. Great chew. Great flavor. We tried the Delox, and a cherry with cherry shmear. Both were very good. The cherry flavor in the bagel as well as the shmear was on point and unusual as far as finding it in other places. The Delox was very good, but not as unique of an option. We'd definitely get both of them again. Be prepared for a little wait (at least on a Saturday morning.) But, they did a good job of both focusing on the customer and getting through the line as quickly as you might hope. Next time we have a hankering for really good bagels, we'll be back! Thank goodness we live 30 min away, or we might be back way more often than we should!

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and am ready to make a final judgement. The people there are friendly but aren't always the most communicative. The last time I came here I ordered online ahead of time and waited in line for about 30 minutes before some one told me I could go right in for a pre-order. I got my order and then got home before I realized that they forgot my lox cream cheese and had to go all the way back to get it. This morning I wanted to just try a quick breakfast. I ordered the Salmon Roe on an everything bagel and the young woman asked me what kind of cream cheese I wanted. I replied scallion thinking that would be included and she ended up charging me an extra $2.75 for scallions in my cream cheese but she didn't tell me that and I didn't realize until later. I also got a coffee (which is $3.50!!) and it was FINE. Altogether this visit with the tip cost me almost $20 for half a bagel sandwich and a coffee. The salmon roe was very good, but I would recommend getting a more subtle bagel (like a plain or sesame seed bagel) since the roe is very salty. Overall, this place is really overpriced in my opinion. If you want the best bagels in St. Louis, go to Deli Divine.

Yelp
I don't know anything about real, authentic bagels, but as a regular ol' grocery store bagel gal, this place RULES. I got the De-Lox closed on an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. Lots of yummy flavors (I might do a tamer bagel next time) and the lox is super fresh and good. Staff was friendly and before 9am on a Friday I think I only waited a combined 10/15 minutes. I like the system with pulling a deli number.

Yelp
You have to come and try this place. I came in on a Sunday morning to get a quick breakfast. I got in and they have you take a number. Once we were called we went to the counter and ordered. I got the egg salad on a sesame seed bagel. My fiancé got a tzitzelnickel bagel with plain cream cheese. The egg salad was so good it had dill and other herbs that I could taste. The tzitzelnickel was also super good with the plain cream cheese. The inside is kind of small with only a few seats so we sat outside on the ledge in front. This place is super cute and chill. We came in at around 9:30 on Sunday morning and there wasn't a wait. When we left around 9:45 it was packed so we got there at the right time.

Yelp
Small shop, not much seating so feels most appropriate for takeout but has some bar seating and a couple tables outside. Friendly staff. They used a number ticket system which seemed to work well since it was busy. When we ordered, they got started on the most complicated parts of the order right away and it only took about 5 mins. Their bagels are great! As someone from the East Coast,I'm pretty picky about bagels and find the ones around here too bready. These were not the case - I wouldn't say they were my perfect NY bagel, but they were the closest I've had in STL! Soft, airy, fresh from the oven. The egg salad was very good, too. Not too mayonnaisey. The only bummer was the lack of egg options, my partner isn't a fan of fish or lox on bagels and wanted something like an egg sausage sandwich but that wasn't an option. I get it though - they're really popular and busy, that would slow things down a lot. He just got bagels to go and made one at home

Yelp
Finally made it to this bagel shop. I love Union Loafers so I hoped I would love this place. I do! The bagels are wonderful! I also appreciate that they have non dairy cream cheese for those of us that cannot tolerate cows dairy. I'm so happy more and more restaurants are offering other options for those of us with food sensitivities! I was greeted enthusiastically! I ordered the lox bagel sandwich, non dairy cream cheese to go, and some extra bagels. The blueberry bagel blew me away! The others were delicious but that blueberry, chefs kiss! The place really doesn't have places to sit other than along the window so go knowing you are taking it to go if you can't find a seat. What I will say is that for 3 bagels to go, a container of cream cheese and an open faced lox sandwich and a small tip it cost me $33. Be prepared

Yelp
St Louis's newest bagel shop is cute, with ample parking, great lighting, and limited window seating. The ordering process is straightforward, with a NYC deli touch (ticket numbers, anyone?). Staff was friendly, and it's clearly popular as all bagels except the whole wheat were sold out by 1pm. Fortunately for everyone, the sandwiches were available and wow are they good. My biggest concern is the food was drastically overpriced, which is to be expected for the sister company of Union Loafers. At just under $20 for a bagel sandwich, it was borderline unreasonable. I'd consider coming again, but the prices would make me think twice.

Yelp
I tried the Iggy on an everything bagel and it had lots of flavor! The smoked salmon, scallion cream cheese, and chili crisp all complimented one another well. It was a tasty and filling sandwich, but a little hard to eat. The bagel was slightly hard and chewy, not good for my TMJ. Not sure how the consistency of their other bagels are like, I might've gotten a bad batch. Other than that, it was good.

Yelp
Bagel Union, a new bagel shop from the people that brought us Union Loafers (I knew I tasted a hint of sourdough in my bagel) recently opened in Webster, Groves. Honestly, it's a bit hard to get to (parking sucks, and who goes to Webster?!) but it's a cute, corner bagel spot. Be prepared to wait, order, wait, and leave as there are few bar seats. I got the Deluxe with Lox, cream cheese, capers rosemary, and red onion. Wow! The lox was delicious and so was the cream cheese! I also ordered a plain and salt bagel to go (a little too much salt for this salt-loving girl, made my lips tingle which is my indicator). I ordered a coffee (Coma Coffee) that comes with free refills. They should offer more options for creamer and sugar. Overall, it's nice to have an NYC-style bagel in St. Louis!

Yelp
I had super high hopes for this place since I love their other establishment, Union Loafers. Stopped by for a few bagels and I forgot they had recently opened because the place was packed! I waited about 20 minutes for a lox sandwich and a few bagels with cream cheese. I thought the bagels were a bit tough and chewy. It has good flavor but my jaw hurt after eating half my lox sandwich... This was especially disappointing because the sandwich is near $20. At least for this time, the price point certainly did not line up with the quality so I would probably avoid the expensive sandwiches in the future and maybe opt for just a bagel.

Yelp
Absolutely DELICIOUS bagels !! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming as well. This was our first time there and we will most certainly be coming back for more! The shop is modern and clean - not much room for seating but still very cute. The ingredients were so fresh and flavorful! We arrived close to 1 pm and there were still enough fresh bagels to last until closing at 2 pm. 15/10 would recommend these delightful and delicious bagels.

Yelp
Attention Bagel lovers! Don't miss out on these hot tips for the ultimate Bagel Union experience. Hot tip #1: Grab a number when you walk in the front door and secure your spot in line because these bagels are worth the wait! Hot tip #2: Visit during the week and you won't have to wait in a long lines. I've been afraid of visiting they opened at the end of January. There have been numerous photos of long lines of people waiting in the cold. We visited on Thursday morning and ordered right away. Hot tip #3: They have their own lot! We lucked out with parking on the street, but keep your eyes out for the parking lot (the entrance is on Elm). Hot tip #4: Order the DELOX (bagel + cream cheese + lox + capers + red onions + dill +lemon oil). If you are a big fan of lox, order your bagel with the salmon cream cheese. Better yet, order it open faced for double the lox. Bonus: The cherry crunch bagel was AH-MAY-ZING!

Yelp
I was out this morning and stopped by to see if there were any bagels and there were! I'm so excited to have a shop that makes water bagels. These bagels are fantastic and this place is run very efficiently just like Union Loafers, their other exceptional location. Go there for amazing bread and food. Now St Louis doesn't have to say "no bagel, no bagel, no bagel! " Head here soon!

Yelp
Ever since I learned Union Loafers was opening Bagel Union, I knew I just had to try it. I was afraid to come when it first opened, as I saw pictures of lines outside the place (and for good reason!). I finally went with my bf on a Sunday morning. It was crowded, but not so crowded as to be uncomfortable waiting. We took a number and waited about 10-15 minutes before our number was called to place our order. After placing the order, our bagels were ready in about 5 minutes. I ordered the cherry crunch bagel based off of a review I saw on here - and bless whoever recommend it. Although it might not sound very exciting, the cherry crunch bagel was amazing. Delicious cherries folded into soft dough with a touch of crunch from some raw sugar sprinkles on top. I cannot wait to come back to try the cinnamon raisin and everything bagels. They have a few chairs at a bar height counter, but they seem to be typically filled with people waiting. As such, I would plan to eat your bagels in the car or take them home. I am so excited to return soon. Definitely plan to become a regular here.

Yelp
If you know me you know I take my bagels very seriously. I was traumatized at the end of December to learn the Bagel Factory had closed. Enter Bagel Union. I watched from afar as people lined up for their soft opening several weekends in a row. I don't really queue outdoors in the freezing cold well so I skipped that part. I finally made it on Thursday, 2/16. I got street parking and went in and took a number. The whole process from in to out took about 15-17 minutes. Let's rewind a second... My friend brought me several poppy seed and several everything bagels from Bagel Union on 2/8. I was not impressed with these. On 2/16 I got 2 tzitzelnickel, 1 cherry, 1 onion, and 1 salt with chive cream cheese on the side. I ate the salt and the onion pretty much right away with the chive cream cheese. I don't like a lot of cream cheese on my bagel and the portion, for me, covered all 4 bagel halves. Later that day I ate the cherry on its own in the car. Yes, I ate 3 bagels in one day in the name of research. Have a problem? The following morning I toasted a tzitzelnickel and put some butter on it. These were all very good including the cherry even though I detest anything sweet near my bagel. I'm in the savory bagel only camp. If we're ranking them: 1. Tzitzelnickel - This is perfection. Loved it. 2. Onion - It could have used a bit more minced onion but very good. 3. Salt - Absolutely needed some more salt but very good. 4. Cherry - Refer to my savory bagel only comment above. 5. Everything - Really mediocre and I probably wouldn't get this again. 6. Poppy - Didn't like this at all. The amount of poppy seeds on the bagel was overkill and very off-putting. Taste and texture didn't work for me. I'd be remiss not to mention these bagels are very expensive. At $2.50-$3 per plain bagel they are certainly not an everyday stop. I'm not even comparing this to anything else in St. Louis. Even Kossar's in NY on the LES is like $1.50 a bagel. Utopia Bagels in Bayside NY, perhaps my favorite bagels in the world, are $1.75 a bagel. I get it. Bagel Union isn't going to do their kind of volume. It's still a little high. The cream cheese was very fresh. The scallions tasted like they had just been chopped. The employees are as friendly as can be expected with 40 hungry bagel eaters on the premise waiting for bagels. Finally the skins of the bagels weren't that blistered and the crust isn't that crisp. To me this means they need a longer fermentation and higher heat when boiling but I'm not a baker. I'm just a bagel eater and I wish they were a little chewier. I'm sure I'll be back even though Webster is geographically undesirable to me. I won't be here every week but I'll be back.

Yelp
This place is tasty but man do I love bagels! The scents wafting out of this place were like an everything bagel on steroids and made me even hungrier to get inside. The cherry crunch bagel was the perfect sweet choice. Their cream cheese tastes way more complex, fresh, and real than anything store-bought. Also thoroughly enjoyed The Iggy. It brought a little heat with the chili crisp and was a nice contrast to the cherry. Really wish we tried the Tzitzelnickel!! Next time! Also, hoping to see them add some more sandwich varieties (think Chicago Bagel Authority aka CBA). They are really missing an opportunity to create some unique breakfast and lunch options to satisfy the masses. Bagel sandos are the bees knees!
