Baghvan, A Taj Safari - Pench National Park

Our stay was superb. Yes it was offseason time for safaris , but we have a just 3 yr old who anyway would have been restless on a 4 hr safari . We booked 2 nights just to unwind and hear the sounds of nature and ofcourse off season prices helped. We were blown away with the hospitality Amit and his team ,Pankaj, Shyam , Sanat and the Naturaulist Eric did every thing to make us feel like we were home . Special mention to Sanat who was so so warm. No meal here is pre made .. everything u want is prepared with love as per your liking . He did everything to make sure my lil one was fed well . Which i whole heartedly appreciate. He also arranged for a Lil pop up cooking sessions just to get my 3 yr old excited. I would call this "Tajness" that little extra that they do to make you feel .spl . Also love the fact that the whole team is so well informed about the fora and fauna around the place . My husband loved the nature Trail with Eric Thomas whos expertise in the field is impressive . Overall totally recommend.

Nestled in a breathtakingly beautiful location, this resort offered an unparalleled holiday experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. The care and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our stay, leaving us pampered and completely at ease.||While the resort's setting carries a rustic charm, especially in comparison to other Taj properties, it is no less luxurious. The cottages are impeccably designed, offering a perfect blend of natural aesthetics and modern convenience. However, for those unused to a forest environment, navigating the path to the bathroom at night might feel slightly daunting—though this adds to the adventurous spirit of the stay. The bedroom was spacious enough for three people (our 13 year old had a rollaway bed) and opened out to a spacious deck where if you could put up with a bit of heat you could do Zumba exercises or sit and look out in to the forest.||One of the standout features of the resort is the magnificent "machaan” attached to each room, where you can spend endless hours gazing into the wilderness or immersed in a good book. The quotes are because you have a beautiful bed to lay down in and not just some bamboo sticks so not the machaan one would picture. The staff thoughtfully offered to set it up for an overnight stay, but we opted to enjoy its beauty during the day instead.||One aspect that left us utterly captivated, it was the food. It was nothing short of phenomenal. Homely and comforting, the meals were incredibly tasty, with a surprising variety that left us spoilt for choice. Chef Kanhaiya and his team truly excelled, seamlessly catering to three distinct palates. The chef’s patience was tested by our repeated requests for the delectable curry and rice, which were so good that we couldn’t get enough. When he offered to prepare a continental menu for us, it resulted in a gourmet experience that was simply superb—an unforgettable culinary journey. Point to note that pampering on food continues on even in the morning safaris where you are fed a picnic breakfast which can rival some buffets! Note, this is when you have left the resort as early as 5am in the morning. Truly commendable. ||The safaris were organized with such care that they became the highlight of our trip. Accompanied by Pavan, one of the resident naturalists, we were captivated by his extensive knowledge of the region’s flora and fauna. His passion for nature enriched our experience, making each safari a journey of discovery and wonder.||The resort’s true defining feature is its incredible team of staff, who are warm, attentive, and always ready to cater to your needs. Our stay was made remarkable by the dedication of every single staff member, many of whom we sadly couldn’t name. From Ajay, who ensured our bookings, stay and arrangements were seamless, to Lakshmi, Shyam, Karan, Ashwin, Nithin, Bhishan, for their professionalism and dedication to making our stay so smooth and memorable, to Chef Kanhaiya, Shubham and the rest of the catering team, all under the able management of the ever present B.S. Bhati.|| The entire team working tirelessly behind the scenes, their efforts were evident in every detail. A huge shout-out to each and every one of them for crafting such a memorable holiday.||In conclusion, this resort is a testament to exquisite hospitality, stunning design, and a |team of professionals who go above and beyond to create unforgettable experiences. Baghvan offers a different charm — tranquil, immersive, and full of understated elegance. The setting, especially the Machan (breakfast with a view of the jungle was magnificent) and the beautiful poolside area, created such a serene atmosphere to unwind in. But just like Banjaar, what stood out most here was the people. A huge thank you to Chef Sanat for the exceptional meals — each dish was a delight, crafted with care and rich in flavour. He served every meal with such grandeur that we felt like royalty. Shyam and Nitin were outstanding in their service — thoughtful, warm, and always attentive without ever being intrusive. Shyam especially was very sweet and humble. Mr. Ajay Kumar at the front office was courteous and helpful throughout, ensuring everything ran seamlessly and gave us a lovely tour of the property And a special mention to Eric, who coordinated our safaris with great care and also followed up to take our feedback — a gesture that truly reflected the level of detail and guest care at the property. Every interaction here felt sincere and personal, and it’s clear that the team takes immense pride in delivering the Taj standard of hospitality — not just in luxury, but in heart.

We had an unforgettable experience at Taj Baghvan in Pench. While we have stayed at many Taj properties, this one stood out for the warmth and hospitality of its staff. Indeed, I’ve never been to any hotel anywhere in the world where the staff was so helpful and attentive to our needs. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated, and barely 5 minutes away from the Turia gate.||I was traveling with my wife, daughter and very elderly parents and deeply appreciated the careful attention the staff paid to their needs. Chef Kanhaiya not only cooked all kinds of delicacies for us but also helped my parents settle into their room and regaled us with his stories. Karanveer served us our meals and seemed to magically know what we wanted before we even asked. Laxman was always there to greet us in the morning with a warm smile, a hot beverage and cookies. Vishnukant would patiently help my dad (who is over 80) walk to his room. It is no exaggeration to say that all staff members including camp host Khushwinder really treated us like family and made us feel at home every minute we were there.||Kudos also to Santosh, our expert guide and naturalist. He is very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area including the trees and birds. Santosh is terrific at spotting and is able to recognize numerous bird songs. We did not see any tigers on this visit, but I am not one bit disappointed because we saw almost 40 species of birds.

Four school friends were in a mood for some adventure as also relaxation away from our busy daily lives....so so happy that we zeroed in on Taj Baghvan at Pench National Park!! What a time we had...absolutely smashing! We all know about Taj hospitality but this truly seemed on another level! First off we had the Lodge Manager Mr. Bheru Singh Bhati who personally looks into the comfort and requirements of all his guests with his trademark charm and concern, ensuring we felt absolutely at home. Shyam, the person designated to look after us ensured we had everything we needed at a moment's notice. Kanhaiya, the head Chef not just fed us the most delicious meals (many local dishes with locally sourced ingredients - the zundka deserves a special mention!) but regaled us with many entertaining stories. He and Shyam both had an amazing sense of humor. Also need to mention Taj's Naturalist Pavan whose commitment to ensuring a Tiger sighting for us and his immense knowledge of flora and fauna made for an extremely interesting safari for all of us. The rooms were spacious with sit out verandahs and also a personal Machan on top! perfect for a morning tea/coffee or sundowner. I can't recommend this place enough to all those that want to feel close to nature, enjoy wildlife and want to experience all of this while being utterly and totally pampered! Let me start by saying that we are regular and loyal guests of the Taj, and the primary reason we keep coming back is not just the stunning properties but the unmatched hospitality that the brand consistently delivers. Our recent stay at Taj Baghvan left us absolutely spellbound—it was truly worth every penny spent. Everything about the experience was seamless and thoughtfully taken care of. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor breakfast setup in the heart of the jungle—a surreal and serene moment that we’ll never forget. The safari was nothing short of magical. We were incredibly lucky to spot two majestic tigers along with three playful cubs. As if that wasn’t enough, we also saw a leopard, deer, peacocks, wild dogs, cows, and a variety of birds and insects. Every sighting felt like a gift, and the energy and knowledge of the team made the experience even more enriching. The food throughout our stay was phenomenal—thoughtfully customized to our preferences and consistently exceeding expectations. Every little feedback or request was listened to and incorporated with care, making our dining experience truly special. The room was impeccably maintained, always spotless and welcoming. Every need of ours was anticipated and fulfilled with promptness and warmth. The massage services were another highlight—professional, soothing, and just what one needs to unwind after a long day out in the wild. The entire team exuded genuine care and hospitality. This stay has set a new benchmark for all our future visits, and we know that wherever we go next, we’ll be comparing it to this unforgettable experience. The property is immaculately maintained, the food and experiences are very well-thought-out and the location is super convenient. The machan, pool the room and the whole property were beautiful. |But, more memorable than all of this, this is the warmest staff I've seen at any hotel/resort and they said no to nothing. Everyone was super-attentive and caring.|A special mention to the food team(Kanhaiya, Shyam) and the naturalist team(Pavan, Namrata).

My wife, my 7-month-old son, and I recently stayed at Baghvan by Taj, Pench for 2 nights and 3 days, and we had the most wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. As we entered the property, the entire staff was waiting to greet us, waving warmly with both hands — such a wholesome and heart-touching welcome that instantly set the tone for our stay. The check-in process was unbelievably smooth — while we listened to the briefing about the hotel and the various activities on offer, I simply handed over my ID and everything was taken care of. It was seamless, quick, and truly impressive. Now, don’t even get me started on the food — every single dish was fresh, full of flavor, and thoughtfully prepared. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each meal felt like a celebration of local and seasonal ingredients. Our room was cozy and elegant, with a huge balcony overlooking the lush jungle buffer zone. We spent hours relaxing there, soaking in the serenity and sounds of nature. The machan (treehouse-like sit-out) was another highlight — spacious and a perfect spot to unwind amidst the forest canopy. The staff were phenomenal — a special shoutout to Ravindra and Shyam, who were always available and eager to assist with anything we needed. Their attention to detail and warmth made us feel incredibly cared for. One of the standout experiences was the nature walk led by Mr. Himat. His passion for wildlife and the forest was infectious. From identifying bird calls, spiders, and ants, to explaining the characteristics of trees like the fire-resistant bark, his knowledge seemed endless. His excitement and storytelling made the jungle come alive in a way we’ll never forget. And as new parents, one of the most heartwarming touches was how the staff happily babysat our son while we ate. They played with him, cared for him, and gave us a rare moment to enjoy our meal calmly and without worry — something we truly appreciated. Baghvan by Taj, Pench is not just a resort — it’s a soulful experience. We left with full hearts, beautiful memories, and a deep desire to return soon.
