Baglioni Hotel

"Despite its self-declared status as one of London’s hottest spots, this is a solidly pleasant hotel for anyone who wants to do a lot of shopping (Harrods and Harvey Nichols are a ten-minute walk away, Kensington High Street is five) or surf the city’s groovy zones from a single central location (Notting Hill and Soho are almost equidistant, Kensington Gardens is just across the street). The 67 rooms have a nocturnal look: ebonized wood floors and furniture and a color scheme of black, scarlet, and taupe. Black-and-white portraits of Italian movie stars are hung in artful groupings, there’s an en suite espresso machine, and the 24-hour room service slings some first-rate lasagna. A top-shelf spa and gym complex and a good Italian restaurant add to la dolce vita."

Fantastic luxury hotel in London. The service was great, the room was great, and the staff in general couldn't have been more accommodating. The restaurant has great food and the service there was excellent. The gym had more free weight equipment than a typical hotel gym has, especially in Europe. The hotel was quiet and the housekeeping service was the best I've experienced in a long time. We stayed in a junior family suite with our 3 kids and the rooms were super nice and very big. Our entire family loved the hotel and it helped make our trip even more enjoyable.

The Baglioni Hotel in London is ideally located, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. The room, however, felt a bit tight for three people, with a TV stand taking up unnecessary space when the TV could easily be wall-mounted. There was also a screw above the bed, likely meant to hold a picture or clock, which looked unfinished. The breakfast selection was rather limited. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful, which added a positive touch to the stay. Overall, nothing was disastrous, but nothing stood out as exceptional either.

Friendly staff, nice location but some of the details let it down, some of decor needed attention such as the plainly visible plastic and peeling ubend under the sink. The most disappointing part was breakfast. The “veggie bacon” appeared to have been cremated and was so hard it shattered when I attempted to cut it and the mushrooms were cold. Three times we had to ask twice to get a coffee/tea.

We stayed in a family suite, the accommodations were lovely - obviously well-used with e.g. scratches on the floor, but clearly also well taken care of - immaculately clean and tidy. Housekeeping were very thorough on their daily visits. Noise isolation wasn't perfect, but...it's London, what do you expect! Front desk/room service/other staff were always professional and very helpful.

Fantastic location with easy walking to food and all the great sights! We loved being across from the beautiful park. The hotel and rooms and wonderful and well appointed. The staff were superb and the bar/restaurant was also great. Thank you!

Two nights in a “deluxe” junior suite. Really lovely and helpful staff throughout. Good cocktails in the bar. Suite furnishings a little tired. Everything a little bit scuffed, worn, chipped, scraped. One of the espresso cups was dirty inside. I didn’t raise this any of with the hotel - not like they can quickly refurbish or would run off and check every cup in every other room 🤷‍♂️ And it’s not like any of it ruined my stay. Just a bit…bleh. Air conditioning absolutely useless but was able to open windows, at least. Was fairly quiet even with the windows open. Room service very prompt. Very handy for Hyde Park and getting into the city center. Overall mildly disappointing for the cost.

If I could rate Baglioni Hotel London higher than five stars in each category I would! Everything from check-in, to dining, cleanliness of rooms, and the friendly dispositions of staff and their willingness to help was exceptional. (Our favorite staff member was Tulio! He was so kind and went above and beyond to help us.) I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful small luxury hotel. Great location and the staff was superb. Beyond pleasant. Incredibly helpful and kind. Nice gym area. Great food and drink.

Yelp
Hotel is dated and poorly managed. Had issues with room that took several days to come close to be resolved. Room had two windows (one in living area and another in bed area) covered by sheer drapes---The drapes where FIXED CLOSED. Room was dark and depressing. For the area, would recommend other hotels in immediate area with better quality regarding room and service attention. I do NOT recommend this place.

Yelp
This is Exclusively for the spa connected to the Baglioni hotel since they don't have their dedicated page on yelp yet. I loved this Spa experience five start for the moment you walk in the door. Ruta was so amazing and very friendly and fun to interact with. The wet sauna area is very relaxing and hot . The provided robes and slippers were premium .Ruta made my friend (Birthday Boy) and I feel very welcome. I called weeks ago to surprise him with a Spa Day for his birthday and Ruta and Sandra (Therapist) were amazing. Ruta pulled out all the stops she made him a Pie with a candle on top and sang Happy Birthday. their relaxation room was beautifully decorated and very inviting . The experience was the best I will be returning and telling my friends.

Yelp
We had such a nice stay at the Baglioni Hotel. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly from check in to check out. They have a spa and a sauna on site was was a great treat! Our room was so comfortable and clean and the bathroom was to die for! The tub was my favorite part of the room oh and the walk in closet too, which they automatically upgraded our room as a platinum Amex cardholder perk!

Yelp
My friend and I could not have stayed in a nicer hotel (fantastic service, fantastic room and amenities). On Jan 20th, my friend and I stayed in London for a few days to meet friends. I picked the Baglioni because I had some benefits (free breakfast, some room credit etc). It is a small hotel but it goes a long way it making one feel at ease, with attentive but not overbearing service. I also received an upgrade upon arrival to a suite which was gorgeous. The only concern I would have for people booking this place is the location. While extremely convenient to Kensington Gardens, Bus stop access etc... if your stay requires frequent location to Soho, Trafalga square area you will have to travel. The hotel does have a free car service (a maserati) you can request (I believe there are distance limitations like 1-2miles).

Yelp
Well with such a luxurious setting from the minute you step foot inside this grand hotel, I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed! But would one expect anything less from this 5 star wonder. I came here with some friends for aperitivo and we were well looked after. They have a wonderful selection of cocktails (I opted for the Rose Lychee Martini) which are beautifully presented. The meat platter, bread selection and dipping olive oil were fantastic (very generous portions too). As we couldn't resist the dessert menu, it was a must - and we definitely weren't disappointed. The flavours and presentation were first class. The restaurant itself is exquisite - beautifully furnished with comfy seats; ornate decor and not forgetting the gobsmacking toilets. If you're looking for a quiet place for drinks for a special occasion or just want a treat, it's the place to go to avoid the loud noisy bars. I'd love to go back to try out the main meals.

Yelp
This was my 2nd time venturing over to London. I stayed at the Hyatt Churchill, and the Andaz during my last visit. During my stay I had mixed thoughts as to the self proclaimed 5 star status. Upon coming home, going to Las Vegas and staying at a 2 star hotel, I came to appreciate the 6 days I spent in the Jr. Suite at the Baglioni. I truly appreciated the service and the 5 star rating this hotel boasts! Check in was sort of stank! The reservation was not in my name but paperwork had been previously faxed over before my arrival confirming and authorizing me access to use all the facilities and charge everything to the room. I arrived before check, due to the time zone change, and after a 2 hour wait (I had breakfast and emailed my family and friends to let them know i made it) a room became available for me. The "business center" which was really literally a business space- one slow running desktop, one chair, and 2 feet of desk left much to be desired... There is wi-fi, but you can only latch on to it once you have been given a key card/room number- its not free either! But if you are an American Express cranberry card holder, or some other color (black?!) they will waive the internet fees for you! I would have to say the room was very spacious....considering everything is so much smaller in the UK... The prices were EXTREMELY steep- as one would imagine.... $50 for a chicken Ceasar salad- for one person. The staff was very expeditious and helpful. On to my favorite part: The Baglioni Spa! I got the 55 minute Active Glow Facial and the 55 minute Aromatherapy Massage. I had the same technician for both services: Asha. The massage was so so- I didn't get the hot stones because I really wanted my kinks and aches to be worked out by hands only...Asha was very short and petite- but her hands were VERY strong- a little too strong...and some point it felt like she was doing deep tissue- which I hate because my tolerance for pain is uber low...the massage was NOT her strong point...it left me unsatisfied and wanting MORE! For 85£ or $140 dollar the massage was seriously lacking that whimsical feeling that massages are supposed to leave you with... The facial! Asha really glowed in the explanations and the time and effort she spent with me and my face! She was so knowledgeable and so sincere about everything she was saying and doing at this point. I could sense her expertise and could totally tell that she specialized in being an esthetician. She did oversell the spa products- but she didn't have to try too hard- After she finished my services she wrote a PERSONALIZED, detailed treatment plan for me, as well as gave me her personal email address in case I needed to follow up! 5 STAR! WOW! The food here was MEH! I ate in the restaurant as well as ordered room service...Whatever you do don't order that black pudding thing! Yuck! Everything here is being done at a premium rate- but you are also receiving premium and quality service, products, and attention. The bar was nice- I had 2 glasses of wine- probably was 100£ OMG! Lol Def don't come here if you are on a budget... For a 6 day stay my bill for lodging/food/cocktails/spa services was over $6,000 USD I also noticed that what I thought was local UK calls made from the hotel phone turned into astronomically expensive 3 and 4 minute calls. O_o I would def love to stay here again. I felt like a Princess in a fairy tale :)

Yelp
Great italian designer hotel hidden in Kensington, London. Hotel is not big, but service is great. Very cool black and gold design. One of my favorites in London

Yelp
Last March-April my sister and I traveled through Europe as a graduation present from our parents. During our time away we stayed at multiple hotels but at least three of the hotels we stayed in were apart of the Baglioni chain. London was our last stop, and one of my personal favorites. From the moment we stepped out of the cab, it was first class service all the way. The hotel itself is quite small, but the rooms are quite spacious. The rooms are a bit dark, but if you just open the windows and let some light in, you won't have a problem. We had breakfast included with our stay, and it was lovely! So many options from the buffet, as well as the full breakfast menu, if you weren't feeling the buffet that day. The location of this hotel was a HUGE plus. It wasn't too busy, but it wasn't dead. Just a short walk the two different tube stations (Gloucester Road and High Street Kensington) and a short walk from the VA Museum, Royal Albert Hall, and so much more) That's one thing I love about London, is how accessible everything is. The park is literally across the street, and there is so much to explore, you'll never be bored. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than most hotels, but I can say confidently it is worth the money. The location, the staff, the ambiance make it worth it!

Yelp
This is an amazing hotel. They went out of their way to make us feel special. From welcome bottle of wine and daily chocolate to champagne on our anniversary the staff was fantastic with comfortable nice sized room. Would definitely recommend!!

Yelp
This only reason this hotel does not get a 5 rating is the price of the rooms. But otherwise difficult to fault: beautiful decorated rooms, extremely comfortable, state of the art audio visual, Italian flair I have not eaten in the restaurant yet - so no comment on that one. Baglioni is one of my favourite groups of hotels in Italy, and their arrival in London was long overdue. If money is no object, and the location (Kensington) fits your needs, this is the place to stay.

Yelp
Dear Sirs It is with pleasure that I call to your attention your exceptional staff at the London Baglioni. I had the pleasure of staying there with my Wife for almost a month this November. My Wife's job requires extensive travel and we have been lucky enough to travel the world and stay at several 5-star hotels for, at times, as much as 7 weeks. So you can see how a hotel becomes a home to us. Your Hotel staff far exceeded all of the rest with their attitude, attention to detail, and work ethic. Whether it be Pankaj, Tim, Edoardo, Federico, Alessandro, Sara, Vittoria, or Anja at the Reception Desk, Donato, Phil, or Riccardo at the Concierge, Emilio, Valentina, Paulinka, Ripon or Olivia at the Restaurant, Gabor, Zamir, Melvin, Andrea, Egils, Paulius The Porters, and of course the fantastic people in housekeeping. We have never felt so much at "Home" as we have at the Baglioni London, our sincere thanks to all and our compliments for your excellent choice of staff.

Yelp
The Baglioni is the epitome of luxury hotels in London, a great location (opposite hyde park) is complemented, as soon as you enter with a beautifully presented reception space, the incredible bar and restaurant area, and attention to detail at every level, from the materials on the walls, little objects of art around, and the finish of the rooms. Romantic, exciting and beautiful, if you enjoy luxury hotels, you will surely enjoy this. The location is, perhaps, not ideal for the party animal but such a criticism is, perhaps, irrelevant when considering such an elegant venue which demonstrates, unequivocally, italian style.

Yelp
I love staying at this hotel when visiting London. Everyone that works there is fantastic, the rooms are great and the location is superb. Across from Hyde Park and Kensington Palace makes it easy to go for long walks, keep fit and see some beautiful sites. I highly recommend it for business travelers, solo travelers and couples.

Yelp
This is a fantastic hotel. I've stayed here probably 7 or 8 times since 2005 and the service keeps getting better. Most of the rooms are great and very spacious, but I occasionally you'll wind up with a single, which is typical London small. This is a favorite of the Saudi royals, apparently, and you'll see outrageously expensive cars lining the street in front when they're there. Last time it was a purple Lambourghini. Fantastic location in London, directly across the street from Kensington Palace. Not right in the hustle and bustle but close enough to Soho, etc.

Yelp
Since the sister hotel 'Regina' delighted me ...I had to give this spot a shot. So glad I did. It's so elegant and less than 5 mins from Harrods, my haven. Grateful to my client for the thank you gift...such a fab opportunity to stay here. Lovin' it!!

Yelp
Five star boutique hotel with 67 rooms in total. True Italian comfort and style in the middle of London, with (49) excellent suites available. Luxury inspired down to the smallest detail. Hyde Park is right on the doorstep, great for the joggers or even just a nice stroll with the family. Definite bonus!

Yelp
Luxury from start to finish. I look forward to staying in more Baglioni hotels in the future.

Yelp
Having had exceptional previous stays at Luna Hotel Baglioni in Venice and Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome, we decided to give Hotel Baglioni in London a try -- and we're glad we did. It is a wonderful hotel with beautifully furnished, quiet rooms. We upgraded to a junior suite and it was lovely. At check-in, we mentioned to the receptionist that it was our wedding anniversary and when we arrived back at the hotel that evening, our room was covered in rose petals. What a nice touch. The staff are warm, friendly, and helpful. Our ONLY complaint is that the towels are thin and scratchy. A five star hotel should have more luxurious linens. While we prefer staying in the Mayfair district, we highly recommend the Baglioni if Kensington is your location of choice. Overall, a FANTASTIC stay.
