Had a great 2 weeks at Bahama bay with 2 adults and 3 children. We booked a 3 bedroom and were situated in building 21 overlooking the beautiful lake. Although for us this was intended to be our base for 2 weeks being a short drive to Disney and close to Idrive and universal etc, the resort itself is fantastic. |Check in was quick and easy, plenty of parking right outside our condo the whole 2 weeks, weekends were a little busier but again always able to park right outside. |Staff were friendly and always answers any calls promptly we only needed to call because we had a delayed bag from virgin and they were facilitating the drop off - very helpful. Called once because the washing machine stopped mid wash- had maintenance to the condo in 10 mins, I’m not up to speed with American washers and had the towels all in one side so it wasn’t broken just needed to adjust the load! |Condo clean spacious and had everything we needed , air con was great, washer dryer and dishwasher, we did notice a little notice at the weekends when there was a family above us nothing that would have caused us to complain but can imagine it could be a problem if people are above you late.|We went to the trade winds pool and the main pool both kept clean. |The main pool was fab in the evening at sunset with the hot tubs! Lively views of the lake and the sunset after a long day in the parks! |Tradewinds seriously underrated because I had over the holiday a couple of pinacoladas and can say they were probably one of the nicest I’ve ever had, pool service 10/10 food was great value for money and very tasty aswel! |Grounds well maintained in a gated community which was manned always by security.|Plenty to see around the resort we saw gators - early morning was best! Think first morning after you’ve arrived with a nice early morning walk around the lakes!|We saw 2 raccoons, plenty of birds, a snake it was fab!|All in all 10/10 and wouldn’t hesitate to come again! |We booked through virgin and didn’t request a room or anything but we’re happy with what we got!

Absolutely love the resort. Our 2bed 2 bath condo was very spacious and clean. The service was excellent throughout. The on site restaurants are nice. The pool areas and little man made beach areas, relaxing and accessible. The lake is fantastic to sit and enjoy the weather and a little quiet. Would definitely recommend and return.

Just back from a fantastic two week stay at Bahama Bay Resort. I genuinely can’t understand the negative reviews as this place is absolutely lovely. We stayed in unit 612 and found that it had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, condo was very clean and we had a view of the pool.||Yes you’re further away from the parks than some of the hotels but this means it’s very peaceful and prices in supermarkets, restaurants etc. tend to be lower so certainly not an issue for us. ||There aren’t any elevators so carrying luggage up and down was difficult but no different to staying in a two story villa and carrying cases upstairs so again not an issue for us.||We will certainly be booking to stay here again.

We have just returned after 2 weeks at this resort and was thoroughly impressed with it. We normally stay in villas with friends but just our wee family this time so 2 bed apartment with garden view or the ground floor with a large seating area outside. Our room (Block 20 Rm 901) was immaculate, with everything we needed or would have in a villa. The grounds are really well maintained and the pools had just been resurfaced. The are a good size and the other facilities were fun. My only critical comment would be that the pools need more umbrellas around the pool., and maybe lose the sea theme on the gym walls |It's also a great location for the 27 and the 192 and getting to Disney via the back roads is very simple and quick.| Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

We have just returned after an 18 day holiday and would highly recommend this site, the accommodation was slightly dated but very clean, plenty of room with large confutable beds, the bathroom's had large shower, double sinks and all soaps and towels. fully equipped kitchen and laundry room, fantastic A/C, our only complaint was that we was on the 3rd floor with no lift and 60 steps with luggage which could be an issue for older people. |I would recommend shopping for food at the Aldi on the 192 just a 8min drive away, there is also a Publix opposite but more expensive.|Breakfast at the Golden coral which is also on the 192 approx 20min drive and was $12 each for all you can eat.|Recommend trying- Ford's garage eatery and Bahame Breeze, neither are cheap but are excellent.

Booked as basic accommodation for a three week family holiday, somewhere to sleep & store our kit whilst we explored the theme parks. |This accommodation (Building 4, Apartment 402) was much better than expected, well equipped and larger than we thought it would be with 3 generous bedrooms, including a Star Wars themed room containing 2 full size singles and a double, a super-king with ensuite, a second super-king, and a family shower room. The kitchen had full size American fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, and dishwasher, with all the crockery and utensils you could possibly need. |We paid extra to have the apartment cleaned and the towels & linen changed at the end of each week as this wasn't included in our package. |The location is excellent, just a short trip to Disney World or Universal and shopping along the US-192. |Pools were great, lovely & clean and the staff were very friendly & helpful. This is a gated facility and felt very safe & secure. I would thoroughly recommend the Bahama Bay Resort.

Been before back in 2014. Whilst the accommodation and space was great the service seems to be missing the importance of the customer. Perhaps stuff took a slide after Covid. Day three we had flat renovations occur directly above us (rm 201 block 15 is our room). No knock on the door or note to say that it would be a day or two. First we knew was the ripping out of woods and the cutting and nailing of new ones. Went to reception got the general impression that I was being unreasonable. I just asked when it would stop. Then a couple moved in directly above us who spent all night running across their floor and dropping large objects. Convinced they are nocturnal and deaf (possibly just rude and only self aware). Writing this as I listening to them dropping kettle bells upstairs on the floor. The trade winds restaurant closes at 8pm most evenings! With the exception of Friday and Saturday when it closes at 9pm. In 11 days we have managed to visit it once. Which is a shame as we liked to visit it last time when we returned from the parks. We now have a family over the back from us, who have a dog on the veranda that barks at everyone as they go past. Like it when it’s off the leash the best though! I feel as though I am living in a social housing experiment. Or an army barrack block. We leave on the 14 October ( writing this at 5 minutes past midnight on the 12 of October) feel free to contact us to discuss our not so relaxing holiday! Not sure why they persist with 1960s bedding and have not opted for quilts with covers and fitted sheets that the occupants can wash. Skip horror night at Disney just have a look at the condition of the pillows under the slips! They are shocking decades of hair oil and saliva. 14 days with the same bedding is a bit much. Cannot move the bed to make it as the feet are all broken! 😞. We paid a lot and saved all year for this. Feel like we have been mugged off. My favourite feature is the fridge ice maker that is obviously broken and just leaks the water from the reservoir directly onto the floor! Cheers. Obviously, no one checks functionality for any of the equipment provided. Don’t expect to empty a vacuum cleaner on arrival (only to find it broken) nor repair an ironing board. What a mess on. This is not a 4 star resort. Level 3 at best. Why are there no teaspoons but over 16 types of knives? I am not planning to butcher my own hunting kills. Would it break the bank to have provided an electric kettle rather than a 1940s camping kettle? It’s all a bit poor. Update: the management response is laughable, sorry your upset with your stay, we will let the local management know. Brilliant. In all honesty just stay away, if the broken kitchen equipment don’t kill you, or pillows breed a bio-hazard or the neighbours deafen you or a loose dog give chase then the zero effort of the management will kill you! First and last time staying at this resort. We bought new slippers for this trip and at the end of the first day they were all black from dirt. The floor had not seen a mop for a very long time. Balcony dirty and we didn’t sit out there once as it wasn’t pleasant. Dated rooms. No housekeeping at all during our 2 week stay… no beds changed. We had to request new bath towels. Sofa’s all stained and felt dirty. No natural light into the room so felt very dark and unwelcoming. Pool bar adds on 18% gratuity without telling you and then puts the tray out for another tip! Been travelling to Florida for 36 years now and this accommodation has been a disappointment. Plenty nicer resorts to choose from.
