Bahama Sands Luxury Condos in North Myrtle Beach by Vacasa

This is the second year coming here, because we normally stay at Crescent or Laguna Keyes. The place is very nice, we love the extra balconies for all of the bedrooms! |Our room 502, was well decorated and maintained! I always clean everything on arrival, using Lysol wipes and spray. Everything was clean except one nightstand and the entry table. Also, the floors were a little dirty.|We had a problem with gnats, which evidently has been a problem since there were a few traps to assist with this issue.|Also, there were several issues with DVD Now, which we contacted the realtor several times for.|It would also be wonderful if they provided the shoe brushes instead of just water hoses before entering the pool area.

The Penthouse was nice, spacious and clean and the beach was great. BUT when you advertise and have sign’s posted in the rooms and on the grounds stating this is a NON SMOKING facility it is a complete FRAUD. We were in PH9 so we only had one neighbor but they smoked the entire week in their room and on the balcony and it come directly in our condo. We did call management and was assured they would be removed. Nothing changed so we spoke directly to the onsite manager and her response was “I will have to speak to the owner”. Once again nothing changed and we didn’t hear back from anyone so after we saw the cockroach on Thursday morning we had enough and packed and ended our vacation early. Not likely to return to this facility.

Review for room 905 week stay July 20th-27th 2024 Bad: Roaches there are roaches here, it says that they do treatments but I seen two in the bathrooms, 3 in the kitchen and 1 behind the plastic where the time shows in the stove. The fridge leaks water throughout the night and day. Two parking passes is crazy with a three bedroom rental. There were over 50 empty spots daily/nightly. Great: they have replaced the living room furniture with a new set which is very nice. The rooms were clean, beds were clean, plenty of toilet paper provided. Awesome view and balcony. Plenty of towels and wash rags. Having a washer and dryer was a game changer for sure. Dishwasher worked great. Pools were great well maintained. Elevators were clean and all worked great. Staff that are here were very nice. Having the trash shoot by the room was nice to have as well. Overall we had a wonderful experience I just wanted to write this review to be 100% honest and coherent.

Room- 1201! We only had one roll of toilet paper upon arrival! I immediately contacted customer service to alert them however: we did not receive more toilet paper until the next day (the staff that came to bring us toilet tissue was very nice). Due to a remote control issue, we were also unable to watch tv in the bedroom (the same staff replaced the remote control and was able to correct the issue with the television). In the same bedroom, there was a constant knocking noise coming from the bathroom which kept us up all night, and made it impossible to sleep. We barely sat in the common area as the chairs were so low, dirty, and worn out. This room could certainly benefit with getting new furniture. Our stay was not horrible but it is highly unlikely that we will vacation at this resort in the future as there is no staff available to offer any assistance in the evening, and you have to wait until the next day to get any help!

Bahama Sands Resort I left out Luxury because there is nothing luxurious about it. Our room, though to be ready early, was not clean. We had toothpaste SPIT in a sink and a wad of gross hair in a trash can, our bed sheets were so wrinkled i truly hope there were clean ! So let’s not forget we have to take out our own trash when we leave, but it’s not when we got here. Moving on, the walls are so thin you can hear everything all around you, our upstairs neighbors have partied all week.. well into the night I might add. There was a cockroach found, disgusting. There is no ice in this entire resort. Our doors are very hard to open and shut. Our kids couldn’t even get our front door open. I myself had to push very hard with my shoulder to get it open and had to pull it hard to make sure it was shut. Also the balcony door would not easily open or shut. Very hard to open. We had to wash our own towels.. never have we stayed at a resort where we had to wash our own towels, No room service or maid service here. The pool .. first the hot tubs were very cold, that is if they were open. The one night one of them was hot and we were enjoying it, the pool guy kicked us out to clean it well before closing at 11PM. This happened nightly as well our children would have to stop playing so he could clean the pool. Im glad they are at least cleaning it but again why it is not done while the pool is closed ? There is a security stand out front whom no one is ever there, also no one here speaks English so good luck finding anyone for help. I tried to call and whoever I spoke to on the first day was very rude. Didn’t bother trying to call back. The location is nice and the rooms have potential but not worth staying in for the price paid.

Stayed over July 4th holiday had a great time stayed in room 1101,it was absolutely perfect, everything you need King bed was glorious! Clean comfortable, excellent view of the beach,have to admit I read reviews before I left a lot of people complained about this and that, glad I didn't take that to heart! I cannot say anything negative about this resort, definitely will be back!!!!

Spacious condo. All bedrooms have a balcony. Have to wash your own towels, pool is cleaned in the evening and they will make you get out so they can clean it. Check in time was at 4 but couldn't get in until 5:30 because it wasn't ready. Found a cockroach in the living room (see photo). Had to walk out on ocean blvd to access ramp to the beach. No management workers on site, only 3rd party workers who can't speak English.

My 87 yr old Mom, 2 sisters, daughter & myself stayed in unit #1206 on May 20-23. Nice 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit for a large family. The patio doors open onto the balcony from the living room & one bedroom. The patio door off the living room was very difficult to open, so it was left slightly cracked open. Though I didn't use the oven, the stovetop worked with no issues & the kitchen had everything I needed for meals. There's a large table w/chairs & a couple bar stools, to give a large family, room to sit & enjoy a meal. There's a stackable washer/dryer in the hall closet. If you have someone who uses a walker or wheelchair, instead of fighting the steps from the pool to the beach, there's a ramp on either side of the building. The couch/bed & matching chair need to be replaced. Both had lost their cushioning & the bed part of the couch wasn't sleepable due to the mattress was just coils with some material wrapped around them & a bar would dig into my back & there were no sheets, blanket or pillow for it. I didn't call Vacasa about the couch/bed because I didn't try to sleep on it until my last night. I ended up laying the couch cushions on the floor & that's where I slept. The GFC outlet in the bathroom closest to the balcony didn't work. The light for the GFC was on but the nightlight & hair dryer that were plugged into it, neither would work. I tried resetting it & I had brought a couple working nightlights with me but none would work. All the floors & balcony had sand all over them. I feel the 3 sets of codes were a bit much to remember & feel the ones for the building & pool could be combined into using the same one. But all in all, I'd stay here again IF the small issues I mentioned, were addressed :)
