Great food, but OK service. We ordered their fried chicken and grouper fish fingers - both were delicious and cooked to perfection (not overcooked or oily). Their peas n' rice were good, but not the best I've had on the Island. Their conch fritters were good, but could definitely use more conch in them.
They are popular and busy, so it will take time to get your food. If you're in a rush, you might want to skip this place.

Our server was really nice and had some good banter. She knew the menu well and provided recommendations. We even taught her some new slang words. I had the pork chop with gravy and it was really nice. The fries and rice could have used some more salt, but it was alright after everything was mixed together a bit. The mac and cheese was delicious and had a nice kick of spice. Presentation was nice.
The bathroom also had some funny decor.
The only negative was that things were a bit pricy.

we had a v pleasant lunch experience here. the food tasty, the drinks lovely, and the staff v friendly. BUT the price is definitely tourist price, almost same as the Bahamar resort.

If you're in Nassau and craving authentic Bahamian food, Mena's Bahamian Cooking is the place to go! I had the seafood platter with plantains and it was fantastic. The conch and grouper fingers were especially delicious—perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender inside. The flavors were fresh and truly captured the essence of Bahamian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Pictured is the Steamed chicken (front) and the Seafood Platter (rear). The food was amazing. Not only was the protein on point, but the peas and rice and potato salad were right up there too. So good!

Quaint restaurant. Seemed like a hole in the wall in downtown Nassau. Service wasn’t unfriendly, just not very communicative. There were 3 people in waiting in line when we got there. Two eventually left. We waited a couple of more minutes until we were finally seated. We waited a few minutes until a friendly server took our order. We were given our main dish (seafood platter with grouper, cracked conch, plantains and shrimp) before our appetizer. We had to inform the server about this cause he did not know. They didn’t look terribly busy, but the service seemed a bit disorganized and didn’t communicate well with patrons or each other. The conch fritters were delicious and so was the lobster salad. We ate the lobster salad last and it was a refreshing finish. Good food. Whether it was authentic or not, i don’t know, but I do recommend eating here. Give yourself time, because you my have a wait.

My husband and I ate here for breakfast and few days in a row while visiting the bahamas. Highly recommend for authentic Bahamian breakfast. We had the tuna and rice, mackerel and rice, and we did their ham and sausage as well and everything was delicious! Just a heads up, though, breakfast is takeout only! So don't expect to sit down here. Either way, we loved it!

I ate good over here. Skipped the food tour excursion and just walked here from the cruise ship for authentic food. Get the three cocktail sampler - you're welcome. For my Bahama mama lovers, they make the drink different here than in the USA - made here with a strong punch of coconut. The savory dipping sauce for the conch fritters completes the dish. Any entree would do because the seafood is fresh and juicy. They have this spice in a condiment bottle - it's actually spicy, like your African moma mixed that up, so that's your warning to proceed with caution. You heard of rum cake but have you heard of guava duff? It's a top Bahamian dessert and tastes better than rum cake. What stands out is the service. I went to the bathroom and I came back and saw a dish cover (like for the microwave) on my plate. How thoughtful. I wish I could give this place 6 stars.
