Absolutely beautiful, but in mid-June and onward in the summer, it is just too hot! We snorkeled in hot tub temperature water, it was crazy. Outside temps were 103 and going swimming didn't cool you off at all.

I don't know how you can give less than 5 stars. Maybe if you stub your toe. Lots of beaches. Lots of Campos. Nice stretch of road and is an awesome drive.

This area has heavenly beaches that are great for Boondocking on beaches that really have no services besides garbage pickup, so come prepared with your propane and water tanks filled! Join the other snowbirds (mostly Canadians fleeing the stark winters up north) and travellers in finding a spot on the water. We were there in early February and the water was on the cool side but it was great for fishing and kayaking. There is quite an industry of people coming by to sell you fish, shrimp, empanadas, tamales, (even pizzas!), juices, etc if you don’t feel like cooking anything that day. Very friendly communities along various beaches and also some areas were quite secluded if you are into that desert island feeling.

Several camping spots along Bahia de Conception. My favorite is Coyote

We camped here one night after Easter, the setting is awesome, the water warm but very shallow and the scrubland facilities heavily used.
