Booked this "beautiful resort" based on the reviews & pictures we saw on TripAdvisor, Expedia & their website. We were horribly suprised that not 1 picture that we saw from any site closely resembled what our room, restaurant, bar, grounds, pool, etc. actually ended up looking like. Diving deeper into those photos once we were there, we saw that most photos are about 5-6 yrs old. We had a 2 bedroom family seat that more closer resembled a party suite in Daytona Beach for college kids. The entire room looked dirty, dated and uncared for. The caulking, railings, furniture, dishes, fridge, shower, etc. The air conditioner leaked all over the floor, there were open fuse boxes without covers, the couch was a patio loveseat at best. They had 2 restaurants & 1 was closed almost all the time. The menu size was fine but the food was mediocre. This includes the authentic food. The grass appeared to be old sod on top of other old sod and very uneven. The ONLY positives we can say about the place: the beds were comfortable, the shower had strong pressure, the beach was close and neat with the black sand & staff were nice. We already had left when we realized we hadn't taken room pictures like we always do on our vacations and have for the other 4 places we have stayed on this 2 week trip to Costa Rica. We did try to stay away from the room as much as possible by doing the UTV tour which was great, horse back riding on the beach and snorkeling at a few different places.

Wonderful place. Very quiet and peaceful. Right by the beach. Had a few hiccups but the staff were able to address and help fix. Had issues with the sliding glass door and safe. But the staff helped to address and fix. They were supposed to change out the bed linens every 2 days but the entire time we were there, it was the same bed lines. We could tell due to the same stains that were on the sheets when we first arrived. Overall was a wonderful place and had a good time. There were market place and restaurants near by within walking distance.

I stayed at a condo in this area a few years ago and we discovered this hotel at that time. It was always my dream to go back and stay there. My husband and I were able to do that in November 2025 and we were not disappointed. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the staff is wonderful, the pool is great with a swim up bar. It is directly on the ocean and has a beach right out front. There are two restaurants on site with great food, but there are also many restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is included every morning and it is very good. The rooms are large, comfy and clean, although slightly outdated. Still considering the price this hotel is a great value. I would highly recommend.

Travelled in off season November 7-16 th 2025 . Costa Rica people amazing. Many speak English! Food terrific. Weather 25 & humid. Spring there currently. Cost for 6 adults & 2 children food, travel & accommodation $4,500 Canadian dollars per person flying from Calgary in the off season prices! American cash is best. Restaurants have a sales tax of 12% & a service tax / tipping fee of 10% added ti menus. This hotel was clean, outdated but comfortable for our needs. Service 1st class. Security cameras throughout, security on duty 24/7 , safety deposit boxes & air conditioning in all rooms. Strongly advise trips to go with guide as your dealing with poisonous snakes, spiders frogs & crocodiles if close to fresh water tributaries running into the Pacific Ocean . Take bug spray & at airport be aware of locals trying to be your driver & requesting payment / tip if you paid up front! They grab your bags & take you to your shuttle get their tip then take off! If you’re flown all night be vigilant. Shuttle costs can run from $ 250,00 US to $ 600 US one way as your an 1 & 1:2 hours from airport to pacific ocean away . Once we arrived to hotel we found an Amazing shuttle for 125.00 one way US from airport & 125 back the company was the most reasonable for trips . Roads are narrow & potholes or raised speed bumps galore. Travel company that had the best prices to airport was called “ Costa Rica Travels & Fun “ Gerson was our guide , totally fluent in English & so good!!! On time arrived 30 minutes ahead at 4 am for our outgoing flight departure for flight at 750 am .

Nice boutique hotel but the rooms are a little weird. |The family apartments are lovely |Breakfast isn’t the best and nor is the food. |For continental they give you a pot of runny cream. It looks like yogurt. |They serve a bit of fruit but no yogurt Museli |Not enough sun lounges for guests

Great location, wonderful staff, right on the beach, near a moped/motorcycle rental place and close to a bunch of restaurants. We stayed in the honeymoon suite even though we were there for our anniversary. It had cold A/C, sitting area, a private outdoor shower and jacuzzi tub, separate patio with a hammock and king bed. The food was great and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed breakfasts some mornings, a few lunches, and lots of yummy cocktails! The waiter brought the fly fans for the table each time which was so helpful. In general, when it comes to Costa Rica, bring bug spray for mosquitoes. Just good to have on hand. And if you don’t have it, they have it at the front desk!

We stayed for a week for our daughter's wedding. The location was spectacular and had lots of personality ~ not your "chain" feel. It is right on the beach with gorgeous landscaping including a grassy area with lounge chairs, paths through the jungle with notes about the vegetation, and an open dining area. The food was a delicious offering both traditional and "American". The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The front desk people had both Spanish and English speaking staff. They made every effort to help make the wedding festivities special! We all felt welcome and appreciated ~ and will have wonderful memories of our time there.

I had an amazing stay here! The rooms all had separate air conditioning which was perfect for my family and keeping us cool! Everyone was always ready to help and I never went to long without being help. The people are so kind! And right on beach and having a pool was amazing!!
