Bahia Flat

We stayed at Bahia flats April 18 to May 2, apartment 334. Upon check-in, we were not informed there would be a renovation in 335 and they would start at 7 am and work all day. Due to the noise, it was absolutely not possible to enjoy sleeping in, spend time in our studio during the day or get any work done. We complained repeatedly to Carlos and Maira about the noise and there was no resolution offered. Further, the unit we were shown prior to check in was not the same unit we stayed in upon check. The cleaning protocols are not stringent hence there was dust everywhere. We had to request toilet paper (a basic necessity), blow dryer and iron. There was only 1 operational elevator hence we often waited 5 to 10 minutes to get an elevator as it was just not feasible for my elderly mom to climb up and down stairs. I would discourage anyone from staying in unit 334. It's an absolute dump and the owner should be ashamed of what she is charging. Additionally, we were charged for usage of AC/electricity which is ridiculous. We should have been told at time of reservation that the property charges for usage of AC/electricity, not at check in.

This place is built like a Fortress. The service and the staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly. I will get them a souvenirs at the end of this year. Not much to say about the rooms because I believe it is owned by individuals so it's always hit and miss. Look up the Airbnb and make sure to send a message to any host, it seems that most of them are down for short term or a weekend rental. Ask them about the electricity bitt, water bill and laundry if it's included in the rental. Chat them on Airbnb or you will be surprised on the checkout day that you owe them some money.

Flats na Barra is very close to the beach and the lighthouse which are some of the most beautiful spots in Barra. ||It's the saddest area of Barra because to be honest Barra is kinda ghetto (from Lapa down) but this strip of Barra is the best of the worst area. ||The rooms are comfortable and cosy with a big step in the middle for some reason but you're ok with that. They're clean with abough space for a few days to a week. Any longer and it might be too small. ||The front facing rooms have a balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean. Highly recommended to have break on.

This place is a real dump. The double bed is just 2 single beds together. The balconies face the street. The pool is a foot bath. The only save is that it is in front of barra beach, but that is the worst beach of Salvador. Couple bars around but all dead. No need to stay in barra. No need to stay at this place

Location, Location, Location 20ft from the beach. Had a room with a great view. Can't tell you anything else about the hotel. I just slept there and walked out every day to enjoy that view

Bahia Flat has a great view of the sea, it is also clean and well attended to, not to mention a direct acess to the bar/restaurant next door. My only complaint is the poor quality of the tv's image and the not so great wifi connection.

We stayed at apartment 220 of Bahia flat, It has great location, beautiful apartment with balcony and ocean view, good quality bedlinen and towels, comfortable bed, good kitchen with all needs, swimming pool was great/ the owner was super friendly/ We really enjoyed everything!

Super friendly staff and great location. Front apartments offer an incredible view. Parking is very convenient as well.
