My husband and I had a lovely time at Bahia. The staff were amazing! Christian the concierge and Valentin the pool bartender went above and beyond to take care of us. The food and drinks at Esquina were great! Everyone was professional, sweet, and spoke great English. The beach club had a great breakfast and wonderful views. The walk to the beach club takes about 4 min or you can get a ride on the golf cart which is always available. Overall, my favorite part of my stay was the incredible staff!

Bahia Beach House (boutique hotel) is exceptional!! The entire staff are absolutely amazing and Ivan and Michell have been outstanding! From the service to the personal touches of knowing your name…The rooms and pool are beautiful and very well kept-the staff drives you down to the beach club, Sur, and back to the hotel when ready. The food is exceptional at the hotel and beach club…and you are in walking distance of many amazing restaurants. Medano Beach is outstanding-beautiful water and immaculate!! Definitely coming back soon!!! Easily 10/10!!!

My experience at Bahia was awesome. From the minute we checked in. They received us with open arms the staff was super friendly. Ivan our host make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was cozy and close to all the great spots around town. The beach club was so nice. I will definitely stay at Bahia Hotel, next time I come to Cabo. Viva Mexico 🇲🇽

I stayed at this hotel with my daughter, we had an amazing time! The best part was access to the beach club Sur down the street. They have a golf cart to drive you to and from the beach. I made reservations each day for my beach chairs. I don’t think you have to make reservations but I did. When checking out I left my wedding diamond rings in the safe unlocked and open. I freaked out and thought they would be gone, I called the hotel and Ivan and Michele checked the room and they were there, I couldn’t believe it!!! They shipped the rings back to me. The customer service at this hotel is excellent!!! Everyone that works there is so friendly! I will definitely go back to this hotel.

If you're looking for something different than a big all-inclusive, Bahia is absolutely the way to go. The location was a 10/10, and we really enjoyed having access to SUR Beach Club, both for breakfast and relaxing on the beach. Every member of the staff we encountered was so kind and courteous. Rooms were clean and had plenty of amenities. The pool area was calm, and drink service was fantastic. Will be booking my next visit very soon!

I loved staying at Bahia! Do yourself a favor and book with them, you’ll have the best time. The location, rooms, amenities, staff, and restaurants were outstanding. Ivan took care of us from the moment we arrived. The staff in all areas were friendly, attentive, and respectful. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are planning a return trip soon.

This place is amazing! It is a boutique hotel that has all the amenities! Their service is impeccable, and the people are so friendly, helpful, and kind—especially Christian! he takes good care of us every time we return and I hope our next return is soon!

Third year coming for our summer vacation and as usual, the service and attention from the entire team but especially Ivan is impeccable. Jacobed helped me online with my direct reservation and then the team at the hotel took over and make our trip next level special.||We will see you again next year, God willing.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at Bahia. We loved the location of the hotel, off the beach but just a golf cart ride down to the beach house. This makes for a tranquil and peaceful place to stay. Every employee was kind and professional. Will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I highly recommend staying at the Bahia! If you're looking for a hotel in the middle of it all look no further. It's an upscale, modern and chic hotel but also relaxed and comfortable. They have a great bar and restaurant on premise that offers a wide selection of food and drink options. You can also order everything poolside as well which was wonderful. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful! Because they are smaller, they seem to put more heart and care into making sure their guests feel at home. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is exceptional. Also, they have a beach house within a block that gives you free access to seating and dining on the beach without a cover.

Yelp
Very disappointed with the services at Bahia. The manager Martha was extremely rude. We purchased a drink at the bar and wanted to sit outside but she said the outside was for hotel guests only. As a paying customer it was extremely disappointing not to be able to enjoy the Sun and outdoors. Mind you we were not trying to utilize the pool area or expecting to go in the pool as we have been wanting to experience the esquina bar. Super disappointed with the way Martha spoke to us with an attitude as well as watching and following us to ensure we only sit at the bar. Mind you our friends have paid for a room as they are extending their stay for a honeymoon stay and the rest of us leaving on a 530 pm flight back to San Diego. Super disappointed with the customer service experience. Martha was extremely disappointing as a manager and I believe not suitable for the position.

Yelp
Our Favorite! Have stayed a couple of times on our visits to Cabo and will be returning soon. Intimate boutique style. Service is great, welcoming. We had a maintenance issue on one of our visits and it was handled right away, thank you staff. Can't wait to have a pizza and watermelon cooler by the pool :)

Yelp
Phenomenal hotel right in the middle of where you want to be! The hotel is this cool boutiquey modern hacienda with concrete floors and lots of wood , natural light and all these custom touches throughout. Great bar, restaurant and coffee bar in the hotel and the property is also connected to the SUR Beach Club, a 2 minute walk or they'll even drive you in the golf cart . It's just away across the street on Médano Beach. SUR is awesome and provides beach chairs and umbrellas and has bar and restaurant with beach side service. Make reservations at hotel for chairs . Great staff, very attentive and willing to assist. They shopped for groceries for us, made excursion and dinner reservations and also provided airport transfers. The hotel has a small pool that has swim up bar and food and drink service . Some rooms are available with private hot tubs outside of room. We chose two King rooms and one two bedroom unit which was huge and had two bathrooms , slept 6 and had kitchen , living area and outdoor patio. Air conditioning worked great! We just fell in love with this property and it's our go to from here on out. Walkable to many restaurants including Edith's, The Office, Roasted , Chayumo , La Lupita, Italian job, etc. Hotel has parking. Marina is short Taxi away. This hotel just has so much to offer , it be really is a hidden gem.

Yelp
Very boutique-y and nice! Was greeted at check in with a glass of rose..already a great start! In a good location with walkable distance to downtown or to the beach. The access to Sur was great. Either a walk or they provide a golf cart shuttle. Special access to beach front as a Bahia guest so that is a nice perk. Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly. Had a nice coffee shop opened to the outdoors as well as a restaurant with a nice fireplace and lively music w/ a swanky bar. Would recommend. Great value.HH

Yelp
Words cannot describe the magical weekend we had at the Bahia celebrating our daughter's wedding. From start to finish everything exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail, the friendly staff, the incredibly delicious food, the beautiful rooms, the lovely pool, and the five-star Beach House with amazing food, service, and every ocean activity right there. The ocean water was crystal blue and so warm. I am not sure if this is a four or five-star boutique hotel but the staff and service are 5+ stars! Everyone on the staff from the housekeepers and servers, the front desk workers and concierge, and the warm and welcoming management treated us like royalty. We were greeted by happy cheerful generous people who wanted nothing more than to make our stay enjoyable...and it was that and more. I cannot wait to return to paradise at the Bahia Hotel & Beach House.

Yelp
Terrible mattress. Back pain for days. Food is decent at the restaurant on site The ac light is super bright at night in the room so bring a sleep mask, your own mattress and pillow if you want to actually sleep.

Yelp
My girlfriend loved her experience but then had $300 worth of valuables stolen from a bag they charged $80 to ship back. Be extra vigilant if you choose to stay here.

Yelp
OK I will give this place 4 stars for location (it is not on the beach) if you want to be where all the fun is, then totally fair to say that this is a very good location. I gave the hotel facilities three stars nothing spectacular... cleanliness is four stars. 2.5 stars for the gym. As there is no water very little equipment. ThreeStaff is polite but everything comes with a price... There are no ice machines you have to request that which requires tips. There is a Keurig like machine in the room, which works as you would expect. The "American breakfast" that was included is quite meager. Since I'm watching my carbs, I couldn't have the potatoes that were included so I requested an extra egg. Server would not substitute one for the other so I had to pay extra for that one egg. I mixed the chorizo with the eggs scrambled and it was delicious, but still left hungry. You will not find any bargains here at the hotel. In terms of quality and quantity of food. You will pay a premium as if you were in United States. To be fair though I bought coffee today and it was with the tip $12 for 2 cups of coffee Americano style (not a traditional brew), which seems to be common around the entire area. There is a Starbucks about a half mile away.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay here and had a lovely time. The place is beautiful and inviting, and the pool was never crowded and was great for a quick relaxing visit in between plans. We were surprised by quality of the complimentary breakfast at Bar Esquina and ended up starting our mornings there everyday. Where the hotel falls short: Noise - We could hear construction everyday and plumbing from the side of our room that wasn't next to anything. Maybe it was the plumbing connected from the room above us but it was annoying. Concierge - Wasn't as helpful or detailed when we asked about transportation options, and sort of rushed the check out process The location is pretty good - it's about a 2 minute walk to Medano beach and near other hotels, restaurants, and mini marts. We didn't end up going to the beach house because we read from the reviews that it wasn't exactly on the water and we had other beach days planned. We tried to stop by once between our plans but the staff said they were closing soon and that they had a $100 USD required spend per person.. Not sure they assumed we weren't hotel guests but didn't bother asking since it was our last day in Cabo.

Yelp
Last year because of Covid travel ban, I ended up w a lot of credit from hotels & airlines. The credit was an ordeal to cash in, they made it impossible to use them. I spent 4 hours to finally be able to book a round trip flight from LAX to Cabo, it ended up costing $600, Alaska airlines was price gouging as United only charged $409 but my credit was w Alaska, it was only $260 before the reopening on 6/15/2021. Flushed w stimulus, people wanted to vacation no matter what the cost was, I should have waited till August when things calmed down. After securing the flight, I was horrified most hotels I had in mind was booked solid and the flight was not refundable. I googled about 10x, each time BAHIA was always available, 2 sites had described it as ocean front, I trusted it as the name of the hotel said "beach house' but that was not a correct definition, it should described better that it was NOT OCEAN FRONT and the shuttle was one big hassle, the site I finally booked on did not mention this, after 4 grueling hours booking the air, I did not decipher the fine prints and not only I did not know it was NOT OCEAN FRONT, I DID NOT KNOW THEY CHARGED AN EXORBITANT RESORT FEE $25 a day!! Who in the world charges resort fee? The hotel rate is expensive enough for Mexico, I just came back from Puerto Vallarta and had a suite for $68 a day!! Here the room rate was $262 but they added so many garbage fees, it ended up being $315 a night. I asked the receptionist if the owner was American to know this gimmick, he said yes, I figure that as I'm a world traveler and NOBODY ON PLANET EARTH CHARGED ME ANY RESORT FEE except the greedy owners in Vegas, Hawaii and South Beach. I have visited Mexico maybe 100x! and never ever once was charged this nonsense. Now to add insult to injury, for my stay I never was able to get to the beach, the shuttle to the beach was about 10 min, not 2 min walk as told by a reviewer, we usually tipped so that was not free either. The last day I told them we were leaving the day after they should give us beach chairs and an umbrella, I WAS TALKING TO MY KNEES, it was beyond outrageous I went to Cabo and never got to get into the water, I was wearing a dress and ran on the beach that was it. If they had good customer service they would have refunded me that resort fee at least $25 for 1 day or the entire length as it was never available, I did book 1 day but I was jet lagged from the flight and canceled but they should be able to book another one for me or to be fair, give me credit. Customer service ZERO STAR, nobody cared, NOBODY. I booked w a balcony and they were going to cheat me out of my balcony, I had to fight, looked up my email to show them I had booked a room w a balcony and a king bed, I finally accept a room wo a king bed, it was 1 bed either double or a Queen bed. It started w bad vibes till it escalated to unbearable tension. The AC made such loud noise, we could not sleep so we turned it off at 100F at night (110F day) it was unbearable. The hotel had no ice machine and after the bar closed, you were out of luck. The breakfast was the BIGGEST JOKE EVER. Continental breakfast should include some Danish, donut, here THERE'S NOTHING EXCEPT COFFEE, some fruit, JUICE and toast, the coffee was lame, the toast was lame so I had no breakfast. I wanted to make coffee in my room, I was shocked the attendant told me it cost about $3, that was another lie, it cost $5.49, I just lost it right there, I asked the manager the room description said it included a coffeemaker, 99.9% a coffeemaker came w coffee, it was not for me to stare at it! As I said even in 3rd world countries every 3 stars hotel came w coffee. I took the whole tray and returned it to the receptionist; I did not want it in my room to get me irritated. I should have asked for a receipt that I returned the tray, upon checking out; I was shocked they charged me $5.49 I had to fight w the manager to get it canceled. The SUR restaurant was beautifully decorated but there are 2 problems, it was so dark, I had no idea what I was eating, DAMAS Y CABALLEROS, this was not a night club, but as a restaurant, please give us some light!!! Things tasted better when the room was better lit, seeing is eating too! Secondly everything was too sweet! Since when Mexican food was sweet that was typical of Thai food not Mexican! The restaurant BarEsquina in the hotel was better, we ordered lobster roll and it was so delicious. Why did I book here you may ask? I read about 6 reviews and people were gushing how much cheaper this hotel was, I should have checked further as the reviewers inexperience might be why they rated 4 stars, they compared apples & oranges. CasaDorada $252 right in front of Bahia room has 901 sf! You can't compare an ocean front hotel w 901 sf to bahia which has no beach access and the room was only 344 sf!I Pueblo Bonito ALL INCLUSIVE, AYCE! had a sale 8/10 for $1,409 for 5 nights.I paid $1,577 no coffee, no beach access. 2 stars

Yelp
Almost don't want to post so I can keep all to myself. Lovely hotel with best beach club in area by far. Service is so nice as well. The place you go where they recognize you in the morning. Hints, get coffee at the little hotel coffee shop. It's the best in town. Reserve your beach spot at Sur when you check in.

Yelp
Hotel was clean and very pretty. Front desk was great until we were checking out and had a $57 hidden resort fee per night. We stayed 3 nights so a little over $170 added on top of the $2,000 we paid in advance. Seems like they could've told us this before or added it in the original bill. When I asked to see the bill she wouldn't show us the paperwork that my bill was stapled to. It was very suspicious the way she grabbed the papers out of my hand.

Yelp
We stayed here a few weeks ago and had a great experience! It's in the perfect location. They have a coffee shop, bar, restaurant downstairs. Also, a cute pool area with bar service. I would say it's a good 30-40 minutes from the airport but walking distance to the beaches, marina, and downtown. The rooms were nice and spacious and we got upgraded for our entire stay. Our trip also included daily breakfast so that was perfect. Would highly recommend and stay here again!

Yelp
Would definitely recommend if you are traveling to Cabo. The hotel itself is very modern and in a great location walking distance to eateries and things to do. What we enjoyed most is the wonderful staff especially Cristian who was helpful in making sure we were taken care of from booking things to helping us plan our day to transporting us to SUR beach house. On the second to last day we ran into the owner without realizing and introduced to the cutest puppy Hola which just made our stay even more special. We learned a little more about the hotels history it's beautiful artwork and where the name came from. Thank you for having us Bahia and all the wonderful staff - Chris and Jasmine

Yelp
My boyfriend and I spent four wonderful nights at the Bahia. It was our first time staying at this hotel and it definitely won't be our last. The hotel itself is immaculately decorated and we absolutely loved all of the hanging lanterns. The bar and restaurant area are open and inviting and were a hot spot in the evenings. The food and drinks were delectable and we dined in the hotel several times during our stay, Bar Esquina, is the restaurant. The hotel also boasts a yummy coffee and juice bar that is a great choice if you're on the go. The pool area is super laid back and offers lounge chairs, day beds and dual lounge chairs available at no cost and I reservations are needed. They have a great pool menu to order sushi, fruit and drinks. The sister beach club and restaurant, SUR, is a must visit. You can easily walk over in 2 minutes and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a great splurge and the views are incredible. Our room had an open concept and I loved the concrete floors. The bed was very comfortable and had a spacious balcony. The hotel concierge was so wonderful and they helped call and confirm an excursion that we had booked. The staff was remarkable and made sure that our stay was comfortable. The only minor complaint I have is that the air conditioning inside the room was noisy, to the point where it woke us up every night.

Yelp
When I came here I had little or no expectations. And now my mind is blown. I have traveled a lot in this world, and let me tell you- Service at Bahia - including restaurants and beach club are one of the bests I have encountered! I was made welcome from the very first moment I entered this hotel! And things only got better from there on! You all must eat dinner at sur during sunset. Food tastes like heaven! And staff is so kind and accommodating. I wish I could afford to stay here forever ! Thank you!

Deena P.

Yelp
incredible hotel with 5 star service. it has a boutique style where the experience is personalized and exceeds the expectations whether a family vacation or weekend getaway or business retreat. The rooms are spacious and many are really unique. I was there for a wedding which was done impeccably and made each guest feel special. I have been fortunate to travel globally staying at some of world's most exclusive and luxurious hotels and would rate Bahia and Sur Beach Club on par with any of them.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE. This is the "spirit" of airlines, they charge for every single little thing and lack customer service. We stayed here for 4 days. Issues -NOT beach front...you have to walk to the beach (not far) don't let the pictures of SUR fool you. -Complete lack of customer service in all aspects, not accommodating AT ALL. -They charged us for coffee pods we used in the room (yes, the standard coffee that is included in all hotels free of cost). -Booked on Expedia and paid "extra" for breakfast. We got one piece of toast and fruit. (We brought this up several times as this was not enough food and we asked about options and there were no other options available). At checkout they told us breakfast is included with rate, yet we paid extra to get the crappy breakfast they gave us. -Housekeeping: would come make the bed and take the towels but not restock...we had to ask for towels multiple times, or more coffee (we didn't know it was being charged), etc. We would come back to missing items that should have been replaced. -Someone's dirty underwear in our room. -We got one bed due to a mistake in booking and we needed 2. So we were offered a cot at check-in, we declined it. The next day, we changed our minds and asked for the cot and they said ok, we should call when we were back in the room. After getting in, they said they didn't have any available. -Website states cot is 35 USD, person I emailed with tried charging me 50USD. When you bring up an issue, they DO NOT CARE, they don't sympathize or try to make it right. They just say that's how it is. Even when you show them proof, it's all on you! I'm warning everyone to stay away from this place, you will regret it.

Yelp
I've stayed at Bahia for the past three years during the Songwriters In Paradise event. Every year my experience has been exceptional and has only gotten better. The staff is a class act, the kind that remember your name and your drink of choice. I'm a touring musician, so being away from home can be a difficult... but staying at the Bahia is kind of like home away from home. Bahia is always friendly and always tries to make you feel comfortable. The food and bar is incredible (try the matcha bowl at breakfast). Tons of healthy options, great fish entrees, and everything is reasonably priced. Logged a lot of pool/ hot tub time and there is a pool bar as well. They also recently added a gym which is truthfully preferable to the planet fitness I go to in Nashville. Rooms are minimalist, comfortable, clean and have plenty of storage / hangers to hang clothes (hello ladies, no wrinkly dresses). Another huge bonus is the LOCATION. Super close do downtown Cabo. Blocks away from SUR where my group and I logged a lot of beach time. SUR is a sister property to Bahia, so all the above remarks about quality of food and staff apply to SUR. The view at SUR is... well, you'll just have to go visit to see for yourself :) Shout out to Lee, Meredith and Caesar for a great visit EVERY time

Yelp
I recently stayed at Bahia for 4 days. I'll break my review into positives and negatives because this hotel really is a mix of good and bad, but mostly bad. Buckle up, this is a long one, but worth reading if you don't want to be taken and frustrated on your vacation! Positives: unbelievably good food. I'm from New York and Los Angeles and every meal was next level amazing. The servers are fantastic; friendly, accommodating and quick. The rooms are clean, well decorated, and beds and pillows are very comfortable. Negatives: the front desk staff is completely inept and cunning. It all started before we even arrived. I emailed with the front desk back and forth several times to book activities and upon our arrival nothing had been booked. I did end up booking a whale watching tour and signed a voucher that simply had the time of the tour on it, and was not explained any other rules or restrictions. The front desk texted me to tell me our transportation would pick us up at 8:20am the next morning. We woke up late (completely our fault) and were chasing the clock to get downstairs at 8:20am - the phone in our room never worked our whole stay so I texted them letting them know we were running late and asked if we could reschedule. They said that we couldn't reschedule because our car was already there, again, not explaining any other details. When we got downstairs at 8:30am, the young man at the front desk simply looked at me, handed me my voucher and said nothing. I asked what I was supposed to do, and he said, "oh, the car already left and the boat is on the other side of the marina." WHAT?? Clearly we weren't getting on that boat. I asked them to reschedule us and they said they'd work on it but couldn't guarantee anything. Another lady at the front desk then said we can get you on a boat later today that's more expensive and at that point I was like, let's just let this go, to which she replied, "don't worry, you haven't been charged." Now fast forward to the following day upon checkout when I see the charge on our bill for the whale watching tour I didn't take. We explained everything to the new lady at the desk who said she was the manager and with no remorse or understanding just completely disregarded us and said there was nothing she could do. Bear in mind, I actually did go on another whale watching tour with the guys at the tent down at the Sur beach house, owned by the hotel, that was $70 more!!! There, I was promised a private boat and tons of whales out because it's whale season. The "private boat" captain proceeded to pick up his entire family and take them along for the ride and the only whales we saw were a mile away because he drove the boat in the opposite direction of where all the other whale watching boats were the majority of the time. So now the hotel made almost $400 on my whale watching tour in which I saw no whales. The front desk and hostesses at the Sur Beach house are completely full of bs. You have to have a reservation for the beach house and when you go to try and make one with the front desk or directly AT the beach house at the hostess stand, they reply without fail, as if it's scripted, "we're fully booked but we can put you on the waitlist and do our best." The first time this happened, we made a fuss, as we're hotel guests and want to use this amenity. After causing a fuss, they managed to get us a spot, mind you we wanted to get a spot at 10am, not exactly at the height of the busy day. Upon being seated at the beach house on the sand, we look around to see that it's 90% EMPTY. It stayed empty until about 1 or 2pm. The whole waitlist and fully booked script is complete bs and was literally that way every day over the weekend. They will tell you this every day until you argue with them and then they magically find you a spot! Lastly, the pool area is completely depressing. It looks like an apartment complex pool in the San Fernando Valley. We didn't sit at the pool once. The Sur Beach house is separate from the hotel so you have to take a short walk or golf cart there and back. No ocean views from the pool or hotel. It was a little strange to have the beach area completely separate from the hotel. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I will definitely be staying somewhere else next time, and just come here for dinner as that's the only super solid thing about this property.

Yelp
Perfect. I love it here! Super modern and chic, the rooms are the perfect size, super spacious and very very clean! I love the amenities and I absolutely LOVE their restaurant Barra Esquina ! Wow best pizza ever! As soon as we checked in they greeted us with two cocktails, walked us to our room, and dare I mention the decor in the hallways. Super chic! The cutest boutique hotel in Cabo San Lucas for sure. It reminds me of a hotel I stayed at in Amsterdam, only even cuter! I would defy reccomend this place!

Yelp
My first time staying here. I come to Cabo at least two times a year, usually more. My husband and I have our favorite place in Cabo but this was a girls trip and I wanted to give the girls what they wanted but I had to stay in their budget. First off, this is at least a four star property in my opinion. The hotel and staff will go above and beyond to help in anyway. Location is pretty good, although it's not on the beach, it's a half block away.....I mean c'mon that's pretty good. Lots to do in this area, walk 1/2 block to everything. The office is right there! A huge plus for this property is they also own the Sur Beach Club and we went everyday! It's better than most hotel pools....just saying! I thought for day drinking, the prices were great and service can't be beat! They do have a hoel pool which is on the quiet side (not during spring break though) I will say when we checked in, management warned us it was spring break and did advise we perhaps get a second room (we squeezed 4 ladies into a room better suited for 2). Unfortunately, I was with all ladies and they wanted to all be together (translation: you know how cheap women can be). All in all it worked out fine cause we were rarely in the room. The sole reason I picked this hotel was location and the hotel has had much updating and decor is beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were furnished. The place was spotless! The only issue was no safe was in our room, however they did offer to lock up any valuables for us at the front desk. I was told most of the rooms are equipped with safes. We did have an issue with the shower temperature, the front desk offered to switch our room but we were already settled in and we just made it work. Any issue was immediately addressed and the staff truly went out of their way to assist us each day. Bar Esquina has THE BEST Pizza! It was always nice to come back to the hotel and grab a late night pizza! They also have a coffee bar that is a huge hit in the area! Top notch cappuccino! Would I stay here again? Yes, I would definitely upgrade to a higher end room though. Also, I felt 100 percent safe the entire time during our stay The staff took care of us!

Yelp
I am so exited to write this review because I fell in love with this hotel. First of all, you get such a good deal to stay here. I mean the beach is so close and you are next to Casa Dorada which is like 3xs more than staying at Bahia. Bahia is a very urban, updated boutique like feel, hotel. The minute we arrived it felt like home. Everyone was super nice, the only thing I hated was the very small so-call check in/front desk. It is literally just two desks, and it took a little bit to check in. WiFi is free in the lobby and only $20 extra for wifi in the room for your whole nights stay. I suggest you get it as it is super cheap and you will need it. Unless you have a plan or don't care to rack up your phone bill. Our room was decent size, the ac worked amazing. I mean I was freezing a few times which is better than being hot. The bathroom doors are weird as they are made of bambo sticks. So if you are just starting to date your significant other or going with friends, know you won't have any privacy. Other than that, our room was great, we had a stove and a mini fridge. Our bed was amazing, and our balcony gave us a view of the beach. I seen many people complaining about the floor, which did look a little dirty but only because the tile had a bit of discoloration in some parts and was a mauve red color. But regardless if it was carpet or tile you should NEVER walk barefoot in any hotel. I don't care how fancy the place is, walking barefoot in any hotel is disgusting. YUCK Check out was fast, and we had them hold our luggage while we went out for lunch and activities before we headed back to the airport. Also 5 more stars to this hotels cleaning staff, they found my boyfriends gold chain, and returned it. We had already left back home but we received an email about it. Lucky for us we had one of our friends pick it up who was still in Cabo. Thank you for returning it, as they could have easily pocked it. If I return to Cabo, I know where I will be staying. Thank you Bahia for such an amazing stay in our mini get away.

Yelp
If I could leave a negative review I could. These people charged us for stuff that was missing from their room. They literally left us with nothing but liquid soap, and then upon checkout they charged us for $100 for shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion WHICH THEY DIDN'T EVEN PROVIDE. The rooms are over priced for what they do here. Wouldn't be back.

Yelp
Complete rip off! They charged me $400 just for a little makeup on one of the towels. The beach club is great but you can go there without staying at the hotel. I went here thinking it was a reasonably priced yet very nice hotel... at the rate they start ripping you off with fees - you might as well stay at the one & only palmilla.

Yelp
We did not stay here for our accommodations, but went inside the bar!! Great atmosphere and service!!! Extra dirty martini was excellent and daughter-in-law had expresso martini, which she totally enjoyed!

Yelp
Absolutely love the Bahia, it is our 2nd time staying at this lovely boutique hotel - special shout out to Alexis, and Julio, who are awesome and take customer service to the next level. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well appointed. Pool is beautiful and welcoming. Reason for 4 stars and not 5.... The bar staff at the pool, would have them train with Julio as the bartender didn't listen and was obviously bothered to have to deal with a customer. The other issue was there was great pains to explain the complimentary continental breakfast - however, one must use VERY SPECIFIC language, otherwise you end up paying $16 for a cup of coffee and two waters. Telling the person that you are a guest and your room number is not enough, one must say "I would like the complimentary breakfast, but only the coffee...". Would recommend checking out the Sur Beach House, an affiliate as it is beautiful, on the beachC and the service is top notch. My only wish for the Bahia is their customer service was consistent through out the property.

Yelp
This is Nacho Libre here (The Bell Hop Staff of Bahia gave me this nickname). I stayed from 29Oct2020 to 02Nov2020. I can't say enough good stuff about this place. They are part of SUR Beach house and we hung out at SUR Beach House on the beach during the days for most of our stay. SUR Beach also had great service. Everything about both Bahia and SUR Beach was great. Our rooms were at Bahia and this place was tops. The Service and Facilities were all great! From the poolside room that we got to the bar service at both the pool and the main bar. The rooms were clean where the house keeping was tops. The restaurant is also very good here. The drivers to and from the hotel were also very good and so was the Concierge service. The best was the Bellhop Staff, each day when I walked in and out of the Hotel they greeted me with "Nacho Libre!!!" and of course I had to put both hands in the air to show them my appreciation for their greeting.

Yelp
Very mixed feelings about this review. On one hand, we had a great trip. On the other, the initial feeling of disappointment we had in our hotel was pretty big. The hotel is not beachfront and the club, which is on the beach (2.5 minute walk), requires reservations. We went to the club three times: the first (Thursday), we were given chairs right away on the beach; the second (Friday), we had to make our reservation for about 30 minutes out; Saturday we had to wait over 1.5 hours and only got seated due to a cancellation. The food and drinks at the hotel and beach club were great (though expensive)! Our room was clean but very sparsely appointed. Our view was of the hallway. The AC was individually-controlled and worked very well. Our room included the continental breakfast, which is toast, fruit, and the choice of orange juice or coffee. All staff was absolutely excellent. For us, a mid-20 year old couple on a romantic trip, this would not be our first choice. For families or older couples, this could be a great hotel.

Yelp
I love this hotel. The vibe is chic and understated, it smells heavenly inside (like orange blossoms, but not overpowering), location is perfect with a 50yd stroll to Medano Beach, lively pool, fantastic staff, and the restaurant is gourmet. Even their coffee shop is perfect. It's the only place I stay in Cabo now. See you soon my beloved Bahia!

Yelp
Well we stayed here thinking this property was beach front but it's really not what so ever. The beach house is a block away if you want to access their "beach front" resteraunt and beach club. We went there to SUR and the food was disgusting (we tried the steak nachos and it was so bad) so please just stay clear of this place for food. My cousin who lives here in Cabo came to visit me and the doors men told my cousin he is not allowed here in Spanish and told me in English I can't have visitors. When I questioned him why the doormen said he would get the manager. When the manager did come I asked her why my cousin couldn't come in and she said that he was welcomed into the lobby and bar just not visitors in the rooms which is completely fine if that's the rules but the doormen was a total jerk for no reason by judging my cousin on how he looks. We were just staying one night and here and so happy to have only booked one night. At night as we are going to bed around midnight we constantly kept hearing people walking down hallways and we realized how thin the walls were, we had to turn up the TV to tune out all the other noise. You are warned folks! If you do stay I really do hope you have a better experience then I did.

Yelp
Ah. So now I know you're an owner. Makes sense. Lee, Victim shaming is when you flip the script, so that you sound good, and the hotel guest sounds like they are complaining more than they should. It's also a technique called "gaslighting". For example, one guest complained their hotel transportation to the airport was changed and they weren't notified, and YOU said (without any apologies, I might add) "that's why you should take public transportation". Don't you know that is not an acceptable response, that it is, in fact, pretty rude? I think that you do know. You just don't care. At any rate, in our case, we were told that the penthouse party was NOT a one time event, and that it happens quite sporadically--which sounds like a logistical nightmare to anyone who plans a vacation in advance, which is most people. NO ONE wants to be subjected to that noise. As a matter of fact, we were told that these parties "usually end by one or two a.m." and that we were supposed to just deal with it!!! Good golly, that's messed up!! And it's a lie to placate guests...that party was still going on at 1pm the next day. But this party was yours, or your kid's. No wonder staff was afraid to do anything about it, which makes you kind of a selfish dirt bag. As far as you saying, "as we discussed" ...we've never met you in our life. We never discussed anything with you. In fact, my husband had to lay on a LOT of pressure to get compensated for the night, and no one on your staff even understood the word "comped" when my husband used it. And NO....getting paid back for one night didn't even begin to make up for our horrible experience. In fact, while we were going through that issue that night, management actually compounded the problem by lying to us and ignoring us. I had to threaten to go find the breaker box and turn off the power myself. So you're basically implying that we all worked out this issue to satisfaction, and you suck because of your defensive, passive aggressive and disingenuous attitude. No one who stays at your hotel will ever be guaranteed any kind of common courtesies while staying there, because management lacks this little thing called "integrity". Your bougie hotel will be loved by the poors, who've never had anything better and don't know the difference. But then, that's what you're banking on, because that's your crowd.

Yelp
Bahia is the classic Baja style hotel... Yes you get that nasty seashell bed and fixtures, throw in some see through bamboo doors and old kitchen tiles with some gross counter top and stoves... (Yuk!) So why Bahia then? It's one of the most affordable hotels that is 2 blocks from the beach and a short walk into downtown and it's not resort style where you can't relax at the pool because 15 kids are screaming at the top of their lungs and splashing chlorine water in your drinks. It is however young bachelorette or spring break trashy drunk people being loud and obnoxious at the pool.... You pick, kids or trashy drunks. I honestly prefer trashy drunks because if you can't be one, join them! (Where as you can't really scream and play with kids unless you want to be known as the resort pedo.) the 2 for 1 drinks special at the pool probably doesn't help, but it sure makes you feel good! You can get wasted from 11-5pm, and Jack (director of first impressions) can make ANYTHING happen for you. The rooms itself is stinky and old. I was really hoping the hurricane destroyed it and they had to rebuild into modern rooms... Or at least newer rooms without the tackiness of Baja and the old smell gone. The toilets are the worst. I came last year and the toilet clogged 4 times, poor guy who tried to fix it... We gave him a good tip every time though bc it was gross. You need a good toilet in Cabo! Especially if you are eating beans, cheese, spicy, and drinking! We were "poopgraded" to a penthouse suite. If you're just looking for a decent hotel (not resort) to stay in, Bahia is great. It's not fancy or resort feel. You still get good service and the AC works. Just as long as the toilet is good Bahia would be perfect for a no frills traveler.

Yelp
Bahia turned out to be a great choice for our accommodations. It was clean, staff was extremely friendly, and very reasonable. The pool bartender, Jack, was legit! He was extremely helpful and very personable. It's nice they everyone mostly speaks English as well. I'll definitely come back. Pluses: Clean - None of that nasty bed bug crap. Friendly Staff Bar Esquina - Attached restaurant was very good. See my other review. Pool - Clean. 2 for 1 deals from 11am to 5pm. Everyone spoke decent English. Central Location - We walked everywhere. About 20 minutes from everything. 2 minutes from the beach. Wifi - Thank god No kids - More of an adult hotel. AC - Our room was an ice box. Thank god, again. Large rooms with kitchenettes (fridge, stove, sink) Delta: Bathrooms doors were bamboo. No privacy for Montezuma :) Rough toilet paper haha Hard beds Bad plumbing - weak toilets, terrible shower drain *The pluses outweighed the deltas by far, so don't be discouraged. I bet most hotels in Cabo have these annoyances, or similar. I'll be back! **Go to the liquor store on the corner across from Bar Esquina to buy your waters and beers for the room. Cheap!

Yelp
I have been eating at Bahia's restaurant for many years . My wife and I often go for breakfast which is very good . I really have no complaint about the food but today we tried to go with our service dog and were denied service . Which is odd because we took our dog to Bahia before ( 2 years ago) . There was no explanation or reason just no I can not the owner does not allow it and does NOT care if the it is a service dog or not . Strange because it's an open air restaurant and every other place we ya e been in Cabo has never been an issue . So in short ,Bahia you may not care if we come back but you should care how you affect those you turn away, especially those who have needs provided by recognized service animals . Last note the restraint was very quiet and empty

Yelp
Bahia is absolutely beautiful. Our group of 10 women stayed at the hotel and each room was beautiful. I was lucky enough to book the designer room which was covered floor to ceiling in beautiful, carved wood decor. The chief concierge, Pepe, helped me schedule my weekend from the time of booking throughout my stay. We enjoyed room service and full dinner service at Bar Esquina; all of the food was delicious and a wonderful value for the price. I would highly recommend this location. It's within walking distance for huge swaths of Cabo and offers wonderful amenities for people who want to stay at the resort.

Yelp
Do not stay here! I just got off the phone with them about a room cancellation and they offered me a credit. I cancelled a month ago. They stated I made 2 separate reservations and only cancelled one. This is a terrible protocol. Also very misleading to the consumer. I made one reservation for 2 rooms and they separated into 2 reservations and stated only only cancelled one and charged me over 400 dollars. They could not offer me any refund just a credit- as if now I want to go and stay there??

Yelp
The hotel itself is really nice. I've been here multiple times and always have a great time. The restaurant esquira in the lobby is aesthetically beautiful, the food is top notch. They have a live band daily and a cool bar scene at night. Couple things to remember: 1. If you prefer newer. Make sure to book a newer, upgraded room. We are staying in room 132 pool level. Cute outside sitting area, easy access to pool. Like, you can literally open your door and jump right in. 2. Typically when you travel, rooms are provided with complimentary coffee & tea but not this one. They have nespresso machines but you have to purchase the pods if you want a nice cup of morning coffee. SMH.... damn, if I want cream do I have to pay for that as well 3. The room we booked provided complimentary continental breakfast at Esquira for two. Well... you ready for this? When we got to there, we ordered the continental breakfast and the server brought us 2 tiny bowls of mixed fruit Yup! That's all folks Almost forget... Coffee is part of the continental breakfast but if you want iced coffee, they have to charge you NOTE: Its not about the $$, it's the principal!!! These are small things but they make SUCH a big difference especially for someone who travels alot. Anyways, the staff at both the hotel & restaurant are super sweet and I know this is out of their control but if the hotel wants to retain repeat guests or new guests, they need to make a couple changes and stop being so damn cheap. What happened to hospitality ‍ The rooms are not cheap (well, at least the newly renovated ones) So PLEASE stop being so cheap with coffee and make sure that free continental breakfast is clarified! Aside from that, enjoy your stay at Bahia as it really is a sweet spot to vacation and steps away from the beach

Yelp
This hotel is made to look a lot nicer online than it actually is. For the prices they charge I would recommend staying somewhere else in Cabo. It was extremely overpriced for a place that is very mid. Drinks were all in the 20$ range and you couldn't get enough food without paying over 100$. Most of the staff was kind except for a front desk women. I don't remember her name, but she contributed to making my stay stressful and unwelcoming. When we asked for simple things such as a razor, cups, etc (simple things that luxury hotels should have) the staff said, "there is a store down the street where you can buy it yourself". These are just a few of the things that contributed to the bad experience I had. When we asked for our bags to be stored on our last day so we could enjoy the beach they left the bags outside where they could have easily been stolen instead of storing them somewhere more secure. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay. I would not stay here again or recommend for others to either. I promise save your money and go somewhere else!

Yelp
The Cabo San Lucas bay is full of shops, restaurants, and locals offering boat rides to playa el medano (beach), el arco (the arch), and lover's beach. There are also relatively clean bathrooms here in the cruise ship terminal. Shop around before making a purchase decision, as prices can vary a whole lot from one vendor or shop to another. Most vendors are happy to take US dollars. If you are coming from a cruise ship, you can walk to playa el medano, or you can pay a couple dollars for a boat ride. I would suggest the walk, as it allows you to see more of the town. Downtown is about a 10 minute walk, with tons of shops and restaurants both there and on the way over. If you want a boat ride to the arch or lover's beach, or want to rent snorkeling equipment, you'll find lots of options here.

Yelp
This is our fourth time staying at the Bahia and it never lets us down. The rooms are large and comfortable and the location is the best - only a short walk to the Marina and downtown Cabo. The Sur Beach Club provides beach access/water activities and is a short walk to Mango Deck and the Office. The restaurants are fantastic and you always get the best service. The best value in Cabo!

Catherine G.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay! The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. The location is very convenient and within walking distance for nightlife or the marina. If you're staying at a hotel versus a resort in Cabo, this would be the spot! Between the pool and SUR beach, you can get unique views and vibes. The price is also very reasonable for the quality.

Yelp
Located 1 block back from the The Office, and the beach, this beautiful, semi-exclusive and chic hotel welcomed it's guests with an open, airy feel. The staff are polite, courteous, well trained and speak English well. If you're looking for a comfortable place off the main drag, and has charm, this is a good choice. Even in summer, and with it's openness, the a/c still cools you down. On the restaurant side, the menus are varied with consistent offerings, paired with fully stocked bare and awesome wine list. If you want to avoid the crowds and still stay in a high quality hotel, check out the Bahia.

Yelp
Cutest little hotel ever!!! Stayed here for a quick 2 days, loved it so much I came back for another few days. It's a very sexy looking hotel with the beautiful lanterns all over the hotel. short walk to Medrano beach and quick golf cart ride to their Sur Beach club. Love the pool area with swim up bar. Coffee bar in morning with the best scones. Amazing restaurant and bar. No negatives here!!!Will definitely come back here.

Yelp
Gorgeous, classy, understated and so comfy all at once, I LOVED my stay at Bahia. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfy. Pool space is clean and mellow, Bar Esquina has the best food in the area- everything I ate/drank there was excellent, and the nightly music was always great. One star removed because I was told we had beach access for our resort, I was embarrassed to find out it was a restaurant with beach chairs that requires you to eat/drink in order to enjoy the beach. The restaurant SUR was good, and once I got on board with the commercialism of Cabo I was pleased to partake. I was surprised to come from Wine Country in Sonoma, Ca and pay higher prices- plan for NY pricing. Also, plan on $20+ a day on bottled water alone- they know you need it and charge hefty prices, but this practice is standard, in line with the other local resorts.

Yelp
Love the pool bar with Jack. So friendly we decided to stay and have another round. Hotel is in a perfect location. Always will come back here. The restaurant is great too. Low key pool with a great bar.

Yelp
I just returned from my third stay at Bahia Cabo, and it still rates five stars. I'd add more if it was possible. Seriously, everything about this hotel is beyond wonderful--the staff, the decor, the rooms, the food, the beach house (Sur). Bahia Cabo has done an amazing job of creating a little oasis in the middle of Cabo. It's close enough to the fun and craziness, but Bahia Cabo is tranquil and relaxed. You could go there for a fun bachelorette weekend, but you could also stay there for a family vacation. Some recent reviews have discussed the construction. Yes, it's happening. I'm really excited to see all the changes when they're finished. I was on the third floor, and construction was on the fourth. And, of course I could hear some of it. I didn't know about the construction before I booked, and, having lived through it, that wouldn't make a single difference in my choice to stay at Bahia Cabo. The noise wasn't excessive; they kept it between the hours of 10am and 5pm; and those hours are prime beach time! Heck, I even managed a nap each day in my room during construction hours. So, please, don't be discouraged by the negative reviews. Bahia Cabo more than makes up for a little bit of noise with its charm (and also its food, which is some of the most delicious you will ever have!).
