Just got back from our trip with another couple at this resort. Very enjoyable experience, hotel although still in some renovations was impeccable as far as cleanliness, service and general well being. Beds were super comfy, pillows nice and soft and the linnens new and changed frequently during our stay. Though all the restaurants were not all open, we did eat twice at the a la carte with superb service reminding of a high end eatery in the heart of a large city. Buffet although had some repetition was well stocked and the food of excellent quality. This hotel is still in its break-in period as far as having just re-opened, but rest assured the staff has a great attitude and will be top notch very soon as time goes by, some of the service staff look like they are new to their jobs but seem to be well coached by the other veterans on duty. Enretainment both at pool and stage was pleasant and varied. Good job Eurostars Grand Cayacoa, will not hesitate to recomend your establishment for someone seeking a great vacation. The room is spacious and the lobby is pretty. The location has an amazing night time view from the terrace. The buffet was ok and the Dominican restaurant was very good. They don’t have water bottles at the restaurants or buffet so you have to bring your own either you buy bottles from outside or bring the ones included in your room fridge. The resort itself has no activities aside from the pool, the beach and a nightly show on the terrace. The shows are loud and you will hear the music really loud in your room until about 11:30pm the pool water is not heated and the hot tub basically has cold water in it too. The beach is public and the water was so dirty. Floating food, cans and bottles among other things. Our toilet had to get repaired because it would not flush, the soap bottle glued to the wall fell off with one pump and the safe deposit box did not want to lock. The shower door is useless and water falls all over the floor. Overall it was just ok and I would not stay here again.

The place, nature, etc is absolutely amazing. But the beach and swimming pool are way too small, it's almost impossible to find spots / chairs, if you don't go super early and stay there, which is really annoying. The hotel also isn't great, hot water in the shower is random, my bathtub was clogged and it took 4 days of asking daily to finally get it fixed. Some others reported their toilets being clogged. The rest was fine though. Also, the whole domain is incredibly small, so you don't have much to walk around, besides going to the (awesome) little bridges nearby. Really beautiful place, but I'm not going to go back there.

Information on website and fb page are false. The buffet is delicious but on the smaller side and repetitive in plantains dishes. There is a whole section closed ( 3 pools ) no room service, no snack bar.. it’s a room with stale chips and dry cake so don’t get hungry out of buffet hours. No sauna, stinky gym with leaking ceiling, the animation is poor. The service during meals isn’t the greatest either. The hotel is a maze, with minimal indication as to where things are and how to get around. The shower door in the bathroom is pointless because water goes everywhere anyways. That being said: the view is beautiful, the town is fun,the drinks are good , the beach is beautiful and calm and the hotel is clean! I’ll be back to Samana but I’ll shop around longer next time. I understand it just reopened so I’m not too mad, but paying 5 thousand $ for 2 people for 7 days is a lot for a hotel with so many little inconvenient issues. Hopefully things get better as time goes on xo

Hotel seemed good upon arrival started to realize that wasn’t the case. The good: The staff is really friendly has nice ocean views if you get the ocean views room and a really nice beach no rocks or trash in the water. The BAD: drinks are watered down typical of resorts and packages don’t include top shelf drinks. The rooms need updating decor, lighting, bathroom too more electrical outlets would be nice. The food wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great either very limited on the buffet options. Good-luck getting a restaurant reservation they only have 3 and fill quickly and don’t all open on same day. The hotel caters to old retired people mostly Europeans and families with small children and lastly no activities whatsoever in the resort, bring your own entertainment or go to town. Would not go Back.

Stunning views! Such an incredibly unique location! The rooms are very big. Well appointed with amenities like body wash, shampoo, conditioner, liquid hand soap and lotion. We were in a “deluxe ocean view suite” and it came with bath robes, slippers and beach towels in our room. There was a welcome banner on our door plus a fruit/pastry tray, beach bag and two “Fans of Eurostars Grand Cayacoa” hat! Staff were all very welcoming! The housekeeping ladies kept our room and the resort spotless. The food was very good! Yes it is a small buffet BUT there is a lot of variety. Always something different to choose from like roast lamb leg, beef, veal, pork, chicken, fish and it was all prepared very well and tasty! There is also a BBQ with burgers and chicken at lunch if you don’t want to leave the beach. The beach is small but always enough chairs available no matter what time you go and no need for water shoes as the whole swimming area is sand bottom and clear. We will def be back with more family members! Some cons we had were the mattresses were very uncomfortable, no activities board, there should be a map given to guests as the resort layout can be confusing. One drawback as well is our fault for not learning even a bit of Spanish and most of the staff have difficulty with English but they were forgiving to us and would try to teach us some words. We have travelled quite a bit and this place is so beautiful, it definitely tops our list!

Good Service - very friendly and abundant staff Very quiet hotel with not much travelers Scenic hotel on a cliff Warm secluded shallow beach with calm waves, great for kids Clean hotel looks lovely and in mostly good repair Not good Typical all inclusive food, restaurants have better food. Bring your own hot sauce Not much to do on the resort other than swim There is a much cleaner path to Samana boardwalk if you go through the beach towards the long bridge there will be a pathway that leads you to the city (15min walk). On the path, there is a coconut water stall and tourist souvenir sellers. The city feels very safe. Lots of fishes and starfishes around the deep end beach bouy border so bring snorkel. Be prepared to have Google translate ready, many local Dominicans do not speak English well. Most places take Visa or American dollar
