I’ll start with the good stuff. This is a very decent place. Apartment was really cute and spacious. The ambiance is really nice and the pool is very clean. Really quiet area. So, this is for you if you’re looking to relax. Now, for things that could improve. Wish there was a bigger full body mirror in there or another one. Was only this squiggly, very narrow mirror that you can only see half your body in no matter what size you are. This place could really benefit from a SERIOUS ventilation update. The living room and bathroom were VERY moist and warm. The wood in the bathroom (specifically the drawer area) is rotting I believe. It had a very strong smell when you open it and not in a good way. I eventually had to take my stuff out of it because I couldn’t take the smell anymore and didnt feel safe keeping my stuff in there. I was told the AC was cool enough to cool down the apartment, tried that, and I was just left with a warm room bedroom. Some things can’t be controlled as it’s hurricane season, so it’s very humid and electricity likes to act finicky (WiFi in & out, AC powered off randomly). However, they should have some stand alone fans that can be tucked away in a closet if they’re worried about it looking an eyesore in pics. It sucks I couldn’t fully enjoy the apartment because it was stuffy. I was glued to the bedroom unless I was going out. Secondly, place should be more fully stocked. I had to go without toilet paper for almost a whole day because staff was off Sunday. Even with staff off, I feel like they should have backup supplies available on their end just in case of emergencies. I believe they’re near or on the property. This also evidently happened on a day the co-host was completely AWOL. Thankfully, Tom answered with a swiftness. Luckily, I had wipes on deck to last me that day. Because that would’ve been awful if it was an emergency. Lastly, not sure if it has to do with the tourists that come to visit, but I noticed their handbook didn’t mention anything about Dominican cuisine. I just find it interesting that people come here to visit and instead of immersing themselves in the culture, they come here to get away from Dominicans. I find that odd. Obviously, this has nothing to do with the hosts, but they should encourage more cultural appreciation. Overall, place is decent but could use some upgrades.

Absolutely in love with this place! Coming here second time and definitely want to come back! Renee and Tom - they are the best! Location, apartments and especially way to the beach are incredible. Best place to stay in Cabarete

We have recently returned from our 4th stay at the Bahia and plan to return for years to come. Our 2nd floor apartment is clean and bright and the grounds are relaxed and welcoming. We love mornings spent on our balcony. It's a beautiful 20 minute walk on the beach to the town of Cabarete where there are shops, banks, and loads of beach bars and restaurants. The hosts Tom and Renee are always available to help or answer any questions. We've traveled around the DR but we are happy to come "home" to the Bahia Residence.

This place was so beautiful! 2 mins walk from the beach, with all the amenities - drinking water, AC, laundry etc. When Cabarete didn’t have running water for a few days, our house was not even affected :O The pool is awesome and almost never crowded. Tom and Renée were amazing hosts - super responsive, extra helpful, and went out of their way to make our experience amazing. We stayed there because our friends recommended it, and will surely stay there again if we come back to the country! And did I mention the amazing wifi quality? 🔥

Bahia Residence was wonderful place to be quarantined with my family for 3 months during the global pandemic. Tom and Renee are the most nicest and friendliest hosts with so much knowledge and information on things to do on the island and close by. Clean and neat environment. Very safe with 24 hour security on grounds. Private pool and beach access everyday was perfect. We had an experience we'll never forget and definitely will be back. Thanks again guys for a great time!

Amazing place. After traveling in the island for two weeks, we were welcomed by Renee to the luxurious appartment and felt right at home. She was an amazing host and we loved every second we spent there. The complex is private, clean, quiet and perfectly accomodating. The walking distance from the beach and private pool makes it a dreamy place to vacation.
