What an unforgettable dining experience in Cascais! The view of the ocean alone is worth the visit, but the food and service made it truly exceptional. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and attentive — his recommendations were spot on. We had the cod baked in sea salt, which was perfectly prepared, tender, and full of flavor. The garlicky olive oil sauce on the side elevated it even further, adding the perfect richness without overwhelming the fish. Paired with a crisp local Vinho Verde, it was a match made in heaven. To finish, we indulged in their brownie cake topped with creamy vanilla ice cream — a decadent, comforting treat that ended the day beautifully. Altogether, an amazing experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Cascais. A true gem by the sea

I order the lemonade which was falsely advertised as it was literally lemon water, unsweetened and very bland. Atmosphere was good and the waiter made sure the dish I ordered had no milk because of my allergies. I got the grouper which came with peeled potatoes, broccoli and carrots. The fish was beautiful. perfectly cooked, nice and golden brown. The salmon was good. The bread was alright with the tuna pate. Oysters where good and so was the octopus salad, sardines, vegetable and seafood soup. Overall their fish and seafood did not disappoint, very satisfied.

The best meal in two weeks in Europe, and that includes a Paris Michelin-rated restaurant. I’m Chinese and we are picky about seafood. This place’s food, atmosphere, and service are all excellent; prices about HALF of Canada’s. HIGHLY recommended!!!

We had a much better experience at this location than the Praça do Comercio location in Lisbon. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful & friendly. We ate lunch here. Beautiful views of the waterfront in Cascais. We did not have a reservation, but they did take us in and got us seated quickly. The food was exceptional! The fish and seafood was fresh and prepared to perfection.

Very disappointing experience. We have visited this place one year ago and were excited to come back, but this time it was pure disappointment. First of all, I booked a table couple of days before, and when showed up, we were asked if we would like to take a table outside. We agreed but as we just sat down (couple minutes later) we realized that wind is to strong to enjoy a dinner, so we asked inside. And we were told that there are no tables inside, so only after saying that we are not having dinner outside they found a table. Very unpleasant staff for dinner 50+€ per person. LOBSTER. Although price ~130€ per kg (without sides) indicates it to be decent quality it came overcooked. On top of that it was served without proper cutlery for witch we had to asked separately to be delivered. So out of ~110€ dinner for two persons, only octopus salat (10€) was good experience. Really sad how good place turned to be turiste trap.

We had a lovely meal at Baía do Peixe with some real highlights! The Spanish mussels and grilled king prawns were absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. However, the codfish wasn’t quite to my liking—lacked a bit of flavor compared to the other dishes. Overall, it’s a great seafood spot with quality dishes and a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the prawns and mussels!

Google
This is an average to moderately above average seafood restaurant in Cascais. We picked it based on good rating and proximity to where we were. The octopus was no where close to what we had yesterday at Frade dos Mares in Lisbon. The oysters were salty. Rest of the items were good but not great.

Yelp
When we first entered the restaurant to request a table, the staff wasn't super warm and friendly downstairs, but we were seated right away and was given a nice table on the covered upper deck with a beautiful view of the water. The wait staff, once seated, was amazing--super friendly, engaging, and attentive. Once we ordered, the food didn't take long to arrive and it was well prepared and delicious. We wanted to take my daughter to a major seafood meal as this was her first time to Portugal, and she loved it.

Yelp
We were recommended here by our tour guide during our first, but brief visit to Cascais. I was slightly hesitant because of the reviews, but also quite hungry and wanted seafood. It almost seemed questionable if we would get in, but the downstairs was empty, and the hostess asked for our phone number and sent us upstairs. We were seated, albeit like sardines between two other tables. I will say it did take about 15-20 minutes for a server to even come by, and we just ordered everything at once. We opted for a bottle of wine, the crab dip appetizer, and two plates. As we watched the tables on each side of us order plate after plate, each one getting progressively larger and more extravagant, we thought perhaps we under-ordered! Our wine arrived, which was light, and complimented our food perfectly. The crab dip was served in a large hollowed out crab shell, and was delicious, probably the best I've ever had, as it actually tasted like crab, with big chunks! My husband ordered a fish dish, and I went for the octopus, as I hadn't yet had any in Portugal. They were absolutely delicious, and quite large! The octopus was especially wonderful, and blew away every other piece of octopus I've eaten in my whole life. My husband didn't believe me when I said it had the consistency more like chicken, and none of the typical chewiness that they usually have...until he tasted it and nearly fell out of his chair. It was perfect. I wish we had gotten the fish soup, but I don't think I could have made it through the octopus if I had. The fish dish was also cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and so fresh! While it may be a bit cramped and crowded inside, the service could be a little friendlier, and it's a tad loud, the food far and above makes up for it all, which is what counts most!

Yelp
Updating to one star... as we were leaving the hostess opted to make fun of multiple guests as they were going upstairs to dine. Completely uncalled for. *Tourist trap* besides being brought bread, butter and tuna spread we didn't want and then being told "it is tradition" - both mussels and clams were luke warm. Half of the mussels were fully closed (aka DOA) and half of the clams were shells only (aka MIA). Fine for a glass of wine, but would otherwise not recommend.

Yelp
Fabulous sea food, and when we finished our huge platter of fresh fish they brought us some second helping. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This place was recommended by our air b and b host; we had reservations and were seated immediately. Our waiter was an older gentleman, who was absolutely perfect. We did the shellfish platter for three. A great sampler, and we had seconds of the crab and oysters before being by stuffed to the gills. I would recommend it for people who are new to Portuguese seafood. I don't think I want to revisit considering the amazing, better seafood everywhere, but if I do, I think I would order individual entries instead of the platter. Note: the steamed shrimp and crabs were served cold. This was different from what I'm used to.

Yelp
After a terrible meal in Lisbon the night before, this was redemption and an excellent meal with friendly service. We had a couple huge platters of seafood - salmon, turbot, sea bass, squid, prawns, and clams. My favorite was definitely the clams, so good. And service was friendly. Wine was good too. We also ordered some Portuguese cognac which was nice. If you love seafood this is the place to go! And amazing views too.

Yelp
Baía do Peixe is an upscale chain seafood restaurant offered throughout Portugal. It's often situated along a tourist spot area by the water, which can give a great view of the city. We ordered one of the all-you-can-eat seafood platters, and each tray came with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes. My overall experience was much more defined by quantity over quality-- the seafood themselves were standard fare. Just don't make my mistake and eat so much that you're now sick of shrimp and mussels.

Yelp
Delicious meal, great views, service amazing. We had the fish soup, the grilled shrimp and the grilled octopus. This last one was probably the best one I've had in my life. Tender, flavorful, absolutely delicious. Definitely would go back.

Yelp
After walking and touring nearby museums, we decided to try here. We had no reservations but were able to get a table quickly. We ordered the polpp salad, mussels, and grilled prawns and squid, which came with sautéed veggies. The portions were good, and we had leftover polpo salad for another meal. Service was good as well.

Yelp
Great location. Service was good. We had one the platters, beautifully presented but the shrimp and crab were overcooked. The oysters were fantastic and luckily our waiter brought us more of them.

Yelp
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! After a long day of keep touring in Sintra, we were very excited to here. 5 of us walked into the empty restaurant and asked to be seated. The rudely told us that they were fully booked! We thought he was joking of course since there was no one there. And it's not like we were a bunch of gypsies backpacking around. We're here on a luxury vacation. Still in disbelief, we asked if he had a specific recommendations for dinner somewhere else. His only response was "go try downtown". I've never experience such snobbery from any restaurant, even in Europe?! Maybe they only like locals there in their little Cascais vacation town? Who knows? But I'll never go back and would recommend you go their either.

Yelp
Great spot for dinner in Cascais. View was really nice at the beach. Lots of options for wine including half bottles. I tried a half bottle of green wine (vinho verde) and it was amazing. For food I had the seafood sampler. Lots of different kinds of fish. Some seemed overcooked but overall everything was pretty good. You will not be hungry after the fish/seafood sampler. Service was professional but lacked warmth and effort initially. I would definitely come back if in Cascais again.

Yelp
We travel internationally and eat out a lot. We come from New Orleans, a food capital it's own right. I like seafood. But I am not a fish person and very very picky. This place is wonderful. One of the best seafood meals we have had this year. If your are in Cascais, don't miss it.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant 9/22/19 at 7:15 pm. We were a little early for our 7:30 reservation but it looked empty enough. We check in with a man at the counter and he shakes his head for about 30 seconds. Says the reservation was made for two and he's so busy he doesn't know if he can sit three people, ( the third person is my daughter who's one). I know the reservation was made correctly but choose not to argue. Photos are of the "busy, packed" restaurant. Anyway, we sit down and they bring us bread and olives which hold my daughter over for a little bit. They forgot to put in our appetizers and now it's been an hour since we've been there. After my husband says something they rushed them out. We asked to cancel our dinner but were told it was already put in. The food is delicious. My husband has the cod and I had the salon and the scallops. The cooks surely know how to make a perfect piece of fish! But the waitstaff could use some serious help!!

Yelp
The "all you can eat" is great, except for the fact they don't come back when you would like to order more. By the time we got their attention to ask for the additional food we wanted, we didn't want it anymore. So in theory, it's great - but in reality you're going to get what you get and they won't come back for the "all you can eat" until much later. The shellfish was great, we had a couple people order off the a la carte menu who weren't impressed with their meals. Honestly, all they would have had to done for four/five stars would be to care even a little bit about the service they provided. However, this wasn't the case.

Yelp
Food was good, price was fair. The service was not very good. I wish we had a way of distinguish the service from the food. Food I would even a give a 4 star but definitely the service a 1 star. It feels like they don't even want you there like if you were an annoyance. If you like good seafood for sure go here, if you don't mind the undesirable service.

Yelp
I tried a mixed seafood plate called seafood rodizio. It is 24 euro per person. I loved everything on the plate and it is buffet you can get refill. The crab was one of the best crab I tried on my life!! Totally recommend it!
