Baia’s Wine

I visited Baia's Wine Cellar recently, and it was a wonderful experience! The place has a nice and cozy atmosphere, with a mix of old and modern styles. They only serve local wines, and they have a great selection. The host was very friendly and knew a lot about the wines. They helped me choose one that I really liked. I also tried some food there, and it was delicious. The food matched perfectly with the wine. Everything tasted fresh and was made with care. The service was excellent. The host made sure I had a good time and answered all my questions. If you like local wine or just want a nice place to relax, I highly recommend Baias Wine Cellar. I will definitely go back again!

Amazing, tasty and clean wine and food, all prepared fresh on spot. The host was very welcoming, explained the process of winemaking very well and is obviously very passionate. They also set a fireplace for us. I brought tourists here, but I will definitely come back with friends.

We had a wonderful time at Baja’s Winery 🤩 This family place has a wonderful story and you can feel how much effort, dedication and love has been poured to make it all happen. We had the best Georgian food out of the whole one-week trip, which was paired with the best wine. Tamara has been extremely kind and welcomed us at the place so well, it was regrettable to leave after one day. A must visit for anyone really, hopefully we will be able to come back soon ❤️

Mama at Baia’s Winery is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. She takes the time to walk you through each wine, explaining the nuances of the varietals and the unique characteristics of their vineyards. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a casual wine lover, the experience is both educational and enjoyable. Speaking of the wines – Baia’s selection is exceptional. The reds are bold yet balanced, with rich flavors that linger, and the whites are crisp and refreshing with a perfect balance of acidity and fruit. I especially recommend trying their Tsitska-Tsolikouri, Krakhuna and the unlabelled red wine, which showcases the true artistry behind their winemaking. The ambiance is another highlight. The tasting room is cozy and inviting, with an elegant yet laid-back vibe, and the outdoor patio offers stunning views of the surrounding vineyards – the perfect setting for enjoying a glass of wine. If you're lucky, you might even get to meet the winemaker or one of the family members who are often on-site, which adds a personal touch to the experience. Overall, Baia’s Winery is a must-visit for anyone in the area. It’s a fantastic place to unwind, enjoy high-quality wines, and learn more about the craft of winemaking. Highly recommend!

Wine tasting was wonderful! Paired with traditional Georgian appetizers. We learned a lot with the owners of the winery. They speak perfect English. Wine tour was great! The house and room was big and clean. We had the best time!

Last day of our trip we checked out from our hotel and visited here before heading out to the Kutaisi airport . Best decision ever! You can easily spend 6 hours doing their tour, eating the huge spread of local food, tasting exquisite wine from them (Tip: make sure to buy wine from them- the duty free wines are unreasonably over priced) and taking walks around the village . The kids had so much fun playing with their super friendly dog Bingo . This is a hidden gem. I wish this family all the very best!

Already did a few wine tastings, but this was by far the best experience I have had. The tour was done by the parents, the mom is learning English and did a very good job explaining everything! It gave a very homey feeling, their dog Bingo also kept us company. Felt just like arriving in a very warm house. The food was amazing, come hungry! They give a lot of very good home made and organic food. The wine was super good, we bought 4 bottles to bring home. Thank you for this amazing experience!

A place you would never want to leave! Beautiful family winery with at least 5 generation long history, held by people that remember and truly respect their national heritage. Hospitable hosts that are open to explain every singe point of wine-making technology and business. Great selection of wines and chacha to try, and outstanding home-made dishes you would never get elsewhere. Absolutely recommend and will come back on any occasion.
