Very charming part of souk Unfortunately a little expensive as a tiny glass of coffee is 2kwd. Cheapest pot of tea is 3kwd. It does however provids lovely design and charming ambience. Service is little slow, This pace was however a backdrop to quite amazing experience, when a couple of Kuwait ladies seating next table surprisingly pickled up my bill. I never had such experience. They decided to do it without speaking to my, only after overhearing my conversation with waiter. Initially they ordered a cake for me, and shared. Only later when checking out my bill I realized it was already paid. I was quite shocked. It made me believe Kuwait citizens are very welcoming and generous

Bait Ahmed is a charming Cafe in the heart of bustling Souq Al Mubarakiya. It offers a tranquil experience away from the lively Souq. The beautiful curios, paintings, vibrant carpets and scarves, and colourful mugs make the Cafe interiors delightful.

The vibe, the food, and everything in between. Must visit for a cozy, local feeling. We ordered the sambosa and tea with mint. We enjoyed it.

Very relaxing atmosphere, chirping birds, classical Arabic music. Friendly staff. I recommend the tomato honey cream dish, the sticky dates cake and the French coffee especially.

The place is nice The food is expensive and overrated.. They played lebanese songs while they should have played Kuwaiti .. the karak arrived cold while it took them long time to just bring it

Took us 10 min to be seated (convenient time for waiting ) and waited around 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, only after repeatedly calling for staff. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, with one employee serving more than six tables. After placing our order, we waited over an hour with no clear updates, just “a few more minutes” each time we asked. Eventually, we had to cancel and leave. Unfortunately, there was no apology or attempt to handle the situation better 👎🏻

I love this place—it’s a café with the charm of an antique shop. You can enjoy wandering your eyes around the space while savoring a cup of coffee with a delicious, soft date cake, all accompanied by the enchanting tunes of traditional folk music that transport you back to the beautiful 1960s and 1970s of old Kuwait. The atmosphere is wonderful, though the prices are slightly high. I wish they would reconsider their pricing to make it more accessible to everyone. Nevertheless, it’s a lovely spot worth visiting. 👍🏻

My all-time favourite spot in the souq- a treasure trove filled with vintage goods, beautiful traditional crafts and most overall: the best pistachio cake in town! (Though the savoury food items are also really yummy) The place is not entirely easy to find if you go to Mubarakiya for the first time, since it is nestled away in a small side alley, but it's really worthwhile to look out for. The owners put great effort into keeping up the special vibes of this beautiful place with it's great food (sweet and savoury, vegan options available), outdoor Café in a flower decorated courtyard, indoor little shopping treasure trove and colourful sitting corners... Even as a Western woman, I always feel comfortable going here alone and actually have met various new Kuwaiti friends with their families in this beautiful place who are also enjoying the delicious snacks and are happy to engage in a friendly chat
