To Whom it may concern:
Last night my wife and son, a lifelong devotee and admirer of your store and self-proclaimed sneakerhead, waited in line at your Denver branch for the release of the 971 Sean Witherspoons. Your store had 100 pairs. They got there exactly at 6:30, which was when the store told him they could begin to wait in line. When he arrived, he was already number 63. Surely this was incorrect. Still with 100 pairs it would not be an issue.
My wife and son waited in the frigid temperatures all night to buy the shoes. Imagine their surprise when your store only sells 18 pairs to people who waited in line. Even if the ridiculous claim made by one of your sales associates is true, that they sold 37 pairs, that does not explain the missing 63 pairs unless someone in your store is selling them backdoor.
With that said, I had to explain to him that whenever there is a big profit to be made, you can expect stores to live down to your expectations. They converted a family from avid supporters to 5 more people who will never set foot in their corrupt store again.
I hope a few hundred bucks was worth it because I know that we are not alone in these feelings.
Hopefully this is an isolated incident, but I doubt it.
