Nestled in the serene capital of Baja California Sur, La Paz enchants with its stunning beaches, vibrant eco-tourism, and charming boardwalk lined with local art and savory eats.
"Capital of the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, La Paz is an eco-tourist magnet, surrounded by protected islands in the Sea of Cortes, white sand beaches with rich birdlife, and seas teeming with fish and mammals. The area used to be a pearl diving center till the 1930s and compared with Cabo and other nearby areas, it still feels a bit sleepy, but in a good way. Stroll along the palm-fringed three-and-a-half mile Malecon that runs from the Marina de la Paz in the south to Playa Coromuel in the north. Local artists sell their wares along this boardwalk and you can meet whale-watching operators and surf instructors as well as fellow kayakers, hikers, bikers, and divers too. La Paz also has a beautiful colonial cathedral and a fascinating little reptile museum and conservation center (El Serpentario de la Paz) that is staffed completely by volunteers who are striving to protect local reptiles and other species. See your lizards and snakes up close here rather than in the wild. Safer for you and them! In partnership with Adventure Travel Trade Association"
We stopped here for breakfast around 830am and we were the first ones there.
Our server immediately came to take a drink order. We both ordered French toast with eggs and bacon (my buddy had the ham).
The French toast was basically cinnamon toast; but it was pretty darn good. Over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. Bacon was a bit over cooked , but hard to mess up bacon.
I know. Not a traditional Mexican breakfast; but we spend a lot of time in mexico.
The only draw back. GREAT location. But you look through bars to see the view. Breakfast from prison?
Worth the visit!!!

Yelp
Very good food, not super good, except the juices. Very good service and nice ambience. I got mole chilaquiles off menu. French toast is made with regular bread so kinda soggy but tastes good

Yelp
We were a party of 4, we all literally cleaned our plates the food was so delicious
Our server was very polite and attentive!
We highly recommend Los Mandiles in Loreto, Baja California, Mexico, it's located across the street from the Ocean, beautiful view.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this restaurant, we ate breakfast there every morning. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food was very good. There is a mix of people who frequent the location tourists and locals. This is going to be our go to spot when we return..

Yelp
Great place, great food, great service! We stayed 3 days and we ate here 3 days. Chilaquiles, mole, French toast, huevos rancheros, fajitas all very good!

Yelp
Had a great breakfast with the family and then came back a day or so later for lunch. Both were excellent. Had the divorced eggs for breakfast. Our daughter loved her fajitas. Staff is very welcoming and helpful.

Yelp
Cute place right on the Malecon. Servers were friendly and beers were cold. We just wanted a quick snack. Wanted something more than chips and salsa, so we ordered the Carne Asada Nachos, not what we expected. Processed melted cheese and canned jalapeños. Maybe the main dishes are better, but with so many other restaurants around to try, won't be back to see.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to us by our waiter Eduardo at Danzantes. We loved the food. I had stuffed poblano pepper with shrimp. I had salad instead of rice and beams. Excellent. Also we ordered appetizer cheese with mushrooms. This was fabulous. Guacamole was excellent.

Yelp
Food was good, service was good, ambiance was good. I've definitely had better but, I've also had a lot worse, so I can't complain. Over all 4 stars

Yelp
Very competent service and food made this restaurant another pleasant experience for us on a windy, slightly chilly evening.
This gravel floored restaurant was almost overpowered by a large table of loudish patrons, and we were going just grab a drink and move on. However the group was friendly and we were soon taking with them, sharing travel advice and stories. We stayed for dinner and we're not disappointed.
The house mole chicken was tender, rich and slightly sweet--it was the mole of my dreams. The flank steak was tender, smoky and well seasoned.
The guacamole was average but the verde salsa offered a rich heat. The chips were over cooked so I could easily avoid overeating them.
My husband's margarita tasted great--my gin and tonic tasted flat and overly sweet. The drinks were reasonably priced, but I don't recommend the gin and tonic.
This is a less restaurant than the Mediterraneo next door, but it has its own charm and delicious food. Cash only.

Yelp
One of the places my wife wanted to try instead of where we always stay -the hotel La Mission My Loreto restaurants. I was a bit worried since it was our last day, and I only had dollars, they only take Cash. The food was good and service fine, but when the $28 US bill came I only had 20's US, so I said please can I have the change back in US.. Out of $40 US.. No change, and rude once I asked for the change again. BTW I am fully bilingual and was speaking to them in Spanish. Avoid going to any place that takes cash only, get pesos from the ATM in the center by the Mission, and then deal with the loose use of TIP.

Yelp
Just average. Had huevos rancheros and coffee. The coffee was the only thing hot.
Can't imagine places that are lower rated in Loreto. Must be horrible if this is the top rated place.
If you need a basic, average breakfast this place will do.

Yelp
The best mole I've ever had. Their Oaxacan breakfast with eggs to order covered in there sweet mole with fresh tortillas and beans. It's my once a week comfort food since April... That's right it's August now!

Yelp
Que Rico! Tasty margaritas! I had vegan tostadas topped with refried beans*, sautéed veggies, lettuce, tomato and avocado slices. They were fresh and delicious. (*I will note that I did not specifically ask if the beans were made with lard or not so if you are strict vegan you may need to check.) Their fresh guac was delicious!!! I thought the prices were good, too.

Yelp
Great mole! Creamy and made to order guacamole. Mango margaritas were well balanced. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Fresh amazing seafood..
The service was wonderful. Outdoor seating with shade .. fans for cooling as well. Large variety of food and huge portions.

Yelp
One of our favorites! Best breakfasts in town, our kids think that the French toast was amazing, we love the huevos oaxaquenos is excellent. Their mole sauce is amazing, we've never had a bad meal here. They make excellent smoothies using fresh fruits and their cafe de la olla is so flavorful and unique.
Service is friendly and efficient. They only take cash, as the fees from the use of credit cards can be substantial especially for a small business like this.

Yelp
Been in town a week and ive eaten here twice now. I chose the more authentic looking place compared to the Mediterranean restaurant next door.
The outdoor seating here is perfect, you get a nice breeze from the malècon. I haven't had to fight the flies for my food once so that's a major plus to me!!
The waiter has been very nice and speaks decent English.
The tables are clean, there's a bathroom inside (with soap, toilet paper and paper towels) and the food is delicious. Last night i had garlic shrimp and the fried plantains for dessert, and for lunch today i had green Chilaquiles with chicken. All very good.
I definitely recommend this place, and will surely be back myself.
Muchas gracias Carlos!!

Yelp
Love this place. (It's closed on Tuesdays, so be warned.)
The staff is very accommodating and friendly.
The menu is very complete and the food is very very good. There was something for everyone. Try the special juices, mixes of various fruits.
There is nothing to complain about. . . Except having to find somewhere else to have breakfast the Tuesday morning we were craving more of the great food here.

Yelp
Ok, listen up. I see people walk past this place for other eating places but seriously the food here is the best! Go here!

Yelp
So I came back seven months later to again have the chili relleno's with shrimp. It is the time of Covid, and I'm grateful they remain open. Service was friendly, and timely. I will be back.

Yelp
This was my favorite breakfast that I had in Loreto! In fact, I went twice while I was there! I became quite a fan of chilaquiles while in Loreto, and they were so tasty at Los Mandiles! I also had the huevos divorciados (divorced eggs) and they were fantastic! Half with ranchero sauce, half with tomatillo! My friend had the fresh fruit and yogurt (yummmm!) and the huevos machaca! Machaca also became a favorite! The service here was so friendly, and the menu is in Spanish and English, which was very helpful for me! I could have gone here every day for breakfast! The atmosphere is quiet and charming!

Yelp

Yelp
Excellent food at very reasonable prices! Great juice, coffee, food, and service! We had Huevos Oaxaqueños and Huevos Motuleños.

Yelp
I loved service at this place. You feel like at home here. And it is the only place on Loreto where you can get fresh juice of your choice. We went there for several times and were treated as the best amigos.

Yelp
One of our 1st stops this year in Loreto. Great place for breakfast or lunch. Haven't had dinner here yet. Always friendly fast service and haven't been disappointed. Husband had breakfast and I had the tortilla soup and added chicken, both meals were great. Love the different salsa choices. Carlos is a great waiter!

Yelp
4 years later and 3 trips to Loreto, this is still one of our favorites! Love the rancheros, huevos divorciados and huevos with mole sauce. Kids always get their French toast.

Yelp
I had the Chilaquiles con huevo for breakfast. They were very good although a bit too fried for my taste. The service was fast and friendly. Prices are pretty average for Loreto and portions are good.
Sam M.
Yelp
Te food was very good the atmosphere was old school Mexico down on the street across from the board walk they do not accept credit cards but the sign was not very easy to see and we were running low on cash
Sue L.
Yelp
This place is really good and the service was quick and amazing. If you need to grab breakfast before starting your day, especially water activities, this will be your place. Its really close to the pier...walking distance. I ordered the huevo de gusto...with nopales and lemonade with natural water. It filled me up and it was tasty.
