We had a lunch there on the rooftop. Francisco was an exceptional food server and made our visit a very special one. He recommended Octopus Carpaccio and Fish Tacos. And they were fantastic. The view was great and seating was very nice as well. There is nothing I would change. I will miss this place when I go back home.

Google
Great place! Food was great as well! Thankful that they let me stay even if I arrived 30 minutes before closing. Service was a bit dry but that’s probably because it was the end of day. Overall, the food was delicious. Service was quick and efficient.

Google
Close by our hotel and worth the visit. Delicious tacos 🌮 pescado, marlin y camarón. I prefer grilled and they were able to oblige. Mi esposa got a delicious atún tostada and a yummy small burrito that she loved 🥰 Cold beer, wine and margaritas. Kids menu, blankets in the fall. Recommend!

Google
Food was tasteless and overpriced. Portions were small. Burrito was so small and tasteless. Never had this bad Mexican tacos. I think it's a tourist trap, avoid if you can.

Google
Please eat here! The tacos, beer and service are fantastic! The guacamole is recommended. Service is friendly and fast. Plus, rooftop dinking.

Ram Balasubramanian

Google
Loved our lunch at this cute rooftop place. Enjoyed the food, service & salsas 😊

Google
Nice little roof top taco shop. The food was just ok, expected more. The tacos were super hot and fried so much you could open them to add the cabbage and tomatoes, without them falling apart, the three taco fish taco combo didn’t have much flavor. Margarita was good..

**Absolute Perfection! The Best Fish Tacos and Crinkle-Cut Fries You'll Ever Have!** I’ve had my fair share of fish tacos, but nothing compares to the masterpiece served at this restaurant! The fish is always fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection with a light, crispy batter that melts in your mouth. Each bite is an explosion of flavor, enhanced by the fresh toppings and their signature sauce that ties everything together beautifully. And let’s talk about those crinkle-cut fries! These aren’t your average fries; they’re fried to a golden-brown perfection with the ideal balance of crunch on the outside and soft, fluffy goodness on the inside. Every single fry is seasoned to perfection, making them the perfect side to those heavenly tacos. If you’re looking for the best fish tacos and fries in the world, look no further. This place is an absolute must-visit. I’ll be back again and again!

Yelp
This was my first meal in San Miguel de Allende and they set the bar pretty high, for quality, value, service and atmosphere. They have some great seafood options and a delicious Michelada. Rooftop seating and just a few blocks from the town square and Jardin Allende. I'll be back for sure!

Sasha D.

Yelp
Good well-priced seafood on a rooftop. The service was nice and friendly, and they bring out 3 delicious homemade salsas. the tacos I tried (gobernador and tilapia) were both good, and the tuna tostada was solid as well. Their Mezcalitas were super good!! My mom got the shrimp cocktail and said it was fine but a little too sweet for her tastes. About halfway into our dinner we were joined by 3 bees that hung out at our table and around the food for the rest of the evening, they never bit us but it was a bit stressful!! The waiter offered to bring us out some bug spray which was funny but kind lol

Yelp
The restaurant rooftop is comfortable and you can see the styling of San Miguel. The food is outstanding had the Tuna tostada and Octopus tostada it was so good. The service is very good . Have been back 3 times this week and tried other menu items all excellent. The 3 salsas on table are addictive.

Mark R.

Yelp
Nice rooftop place to go for good food and drinks. The rooftop is nice and has great views and the service is friendly.

Aiyana S.

Yelp
They're very understanding and are open to food sensitivity requests if they can offer it (no gluten, no dairy, no garlic, no onions...) The service is very good, except that they don't really check in with you after you get your food. If you need additional assistance, you need to get someone's attention. The food is consistently yummy. Best guac in town. I had to get mine without onions and tomatoes, and it was still the best I've had - partially because they're willing to leave out some ingredients for me. The rooftop is nice, and there's a downstairs option. *RECIEW CHANGED FROM 4-5 STARS I came back to give it another shot (mostly because it's one of the only places I can eat out here). Today, my body felt ok with tomatoes. I still had to ask for my dishes without some other ingredients. Today, I ordered the salmon this time instead of the tilapia. WOW! That salmon was made to perfection and EVERYTHING was tasty. The tilapia was always tasty, but ordering it with crispy skin and not to dry without a pink center meant to order it Medium. Since I had asked for my food without certain ingredients, the server, Anahi, paid close attention and asked if I could eat bread. I said that I couldn't. If you decline the bread and order tortillas instead, they charge for the tortillas. But, I'd you have an allergy, the tortillas are complimentary (I had run into this issue). I was so grateful she checked. She even brought me some extra chips to finish my guacamole. Guacamole, tortillas, and chips were as fresh as always. Thanks for taking care of me, Baja Fish Taquitos! A great way to have my

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. Beautiful rooftop seating with great views. We ordered a variety of tacos and they were delicious! My favorite was the grilled shrimp and grilled fish tacos. My husband loved the marlin tacos! We also shared a salad. The service was quick and everything at other people's tables looked so delicious that we almost went back a second time! Someone else said they were cash only but that's not true. We used a credit card! This is absolutely a fantastic lunch spot!!

Kevin R.

Yelp
We liked it so much the first night, we went back again the next day. Wonderful tacos and a very friendly staff. And it's a great deal too. Make sure to get a tempura shrimp taco -- my favorite. It's a smallish restaurant, but the upstairs patio is lovely.

Richard B.

Yelp
Went back to Baja Fish for the 2nd time today, for lunch. The staff there only speak Spanish, but are SO KIND. They help you order. The dishes at Baja Fish are all excellent! Drinks are excellent, as well. Everything is well priced. Baja Fish is very close to the Parrochia Cathedral & is on a sweet little rooftop. Ambience is very casual. This is a must go place in SMA!

Hisham G.

Yelp
A definite must eat here. The fish and shrimp tacos are deep fried and melt in your mouth. The terrace views are nice while you enjoy your meal.

Gloria W.

Yelp
Food was excellent! I planned to start with the shrimp ceviche and then try the tacos. But the ceviche appetizer was huge! I will have to return to try out the tacos.

Amber H.

Yelp
Everything is so good here. Soupa de mariscos is my fav and one of the best I've had in mexico. Service is fast and attentive, waiters are super kind. Fish tacos are amazing too, so are the agua de Fresca.

Eric R.

Yelp
Nice rooftop dining. Great cheap fish tacos, cold beer and excellent homemade salsas (the mango habanero is fruity and not too hot). Don't miss.

Michael H.

Yelp
Our tour guide started our "tacos and tequila" tour at this spot, which has a somewhat difficult staircase climb but a very nice open air rooftop. We liked it from the start and came back a second time. Recommend the fried shrimp tacos and guacamole. Very reasonable prices, good food, cool setting. Nothing fancy but good spot for lunch or a snack.

Jeff T.

Yelp
One of the best shrimp taco I've had in a long while. I love a good shrimp taco and am a sort of expert tasting lots in Mexico all over. This one rivals the one in San Jose del Cabo called El chino. Very very good. Clean place with impressive rooftop location past the main plazas downtown. Very close to the Mercado Ignacio Ramirez. Excellent guac and chips and very good service. Highly rec this place. 2 beers chips guac and two big shrimp tacos for 370$ pesos including tip just for reference.

Sheila D.

Yelp
The roof top scene is so nice and relaxed. We had a total of 2 fish tacos, two ceviche tostadas, ice tea and a coke. $25!! Neighbors were friendly and service was perfect. And they play great jazz!

Daniel A.

Yelp
The rooftop atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. The Michelada is so delicious. I highly recommend it.

Debbie E.

Yelp
For some reason, food has been subpar & pricey in SMA...until Baja Fish Taquito! Cool, laidback rooftop vibe, excellent seafood tacos & burritos at low prices, & attentive, friendly staff. Go & enjoy!

Mike R.

Yelp
Good fish tacos. 36pesos. Big piece of grilled fish but too much mayonnaise sauce. It's a small place and easy to miss. No English spoken but this IS Mexico. I came here for the fish taco and wasn't disappointed

Alistair H.

Yelp
Note they are CASH-Only but it is totally worth it. The upper level is all covered and has a nice view. All of their tacos and burritos are delicious but I'm obsessed with their taritos. They also do a really great job with takeout if you want to do take-away.

Naomi L.

Yelp
This place has fantastic service and a nice rooftop view. The tacos are fresh and reasonably priced. The ceviche is also really refreshing. It's hard to tell much from the outside since the real action is upstairs, but that is the case with most restaurants in San Miguel.

Rosiland D.

Yelp
We have eaten here many times. The food is very well prepared and well presented. Their drinks are great too. The rooftop is where you want to go. The stair is VERY steep but only 1 flight up. We have several times ordered their "paquetes" which include a fresca (homemade fruit drink i.e. guava and cucumber), an appetizer (tostada of raw tuna is one choice) and then two tacos, one shrimp, another marlin. There are 3 paquetes to choose from. It is not a huge amount of food but it is sufficient for each of us. Sometimes we get a dessert after. Or you can go "a la carte" as there is a wide choice. You may want to go online to see all their offerings (lots of pictures) as since Covid the menus were dispensed with and you had to look at their menu on your phone using the scanned code provided on the table. My husband didn't like that so we usually made our choice at home before going. But I would scan the menu on my phone anyway in case I saw something else I wanted to try.

Laicy H.

Yelp
I had very high expectations for this restaurant but unfortunately I was disappointed. The tuna was very salty, I was unable to even take a second bite. The seafood soup lacked flavor and the seafood had an odd taste.

Lazy L.

Yelp
Always fast and wonderful. Rooftop seating and the best fish tacos and shrimp burritos in town. Don't forget to order the Fresca of the day. My favorite is the guava!! Did I forget to mention it's super cheap!! Now go get you some!!!

Jerry J.

Yelp
Great little rooftop gem in Centro! Limited menu but excellent food and service. Great for lunch or drinks.

Eojin L.

Yelp
amazing view of the city, great and friendly staff. some tips: - definitely get the smoked marlin and the guacamole - fresh and bright - the shrimp taco is also amazing with guacamole - the lemonade is on point and cheap! perfect refreshment & their terrace is huge and would be perfect for a larger group. well worth a trip for the casual, welcoming vibe and yummy food.

Regina L.

Yelp
Had the combo 5 and the shrimp and fish tacos were great. Didn't care for the marlin. The mango habanero salsa was delicious and the beers cold. Friendly and efficient service!

Bill H.

Yelp
It's easy to miss the place as you stroll by. But don't be fooled by the humble storefront. Upstairs is a lovely covered patio. The menu offers a nice variety of casual options. All the fish dishes we tried were delicious. Waitstaff is uniformly charming and helpful. Prices were lower than expected. You can't go wrong at this place.

Chris H.

Yelp
San Miguel is definitely a foodie's dream but it took me a while to find this place. Unlike some of the higher end restaurants that are more well known Baja Fish is low key and exactly what I wanted in a casual, local restaurant. Your first impression may be that you've walked into a hole in the wall but you'll quickly notice that place is extremely clean and well kept. There are only six seats downstairs but you'll be directed to the stairs to a terrace where almost everyone sits. It's covered and relaxing and you get a view of the rooftops of San Miguel. The combo dishes are what you want. A great deal and the opportunity to sample their small open faced tostadas, burrito and tacos. Go for the fish tacos. They are some of the lightest fish tacos I've ever had and positively delicious. Full of flavor And not overwhelming with batter flavor. All the food I sampled was good, clean and delicious. Probably the best lunch I had in San Miguel. Oh and we feels four of us for $40....

Cindy R.

Yelp
We love this rooftop bar! The servers are nice and explain menu options. Surprises: the fruit water was super yummy! It wasn't sugary and refreshing! The queso fundido with shrimp is really tasty with the hot sauce they served with it. I also liked the aguacate sauce they dropped off. They do a decent tamarind Margarita and also stock Bohemian which is a nice dark beer. The shrimp. Irritated was quite tasty. The fish taco had good flavor. It slightly heavy on the mayo in the slaw.

Stan L.

Yelp
Had the tortilla soup, shrimp burrito, and tempura shrimp taco. All were delicious. No real view, but the service was great and we will be back.

Justine S.

Yelp
Decent fish tacos, good service, very clean. We were immediately pointed upstairs to the second floor patio, which was lovely. My favorite thing that I tried was the spicy shrimp taco, but I didn't love my tuna tostada. The basic fish taco that I had was also pretty good. Their salsas are very good, but be careful because some are very spicy!

Robin O.

Yelp
I had a shrimp burrito and melon water for approximately $3.50. Unbelievable. The terrace view is gorgeous. Service is fabulous. Food is fresh and delicious. I'm here another two weeks in SMA. I'll be back as often as I can.

Priscilla T.

Yelp
Nice terraza área upstairs. Fish tacos were very delicious and fresh! I would go back!

Janee B.

Yelp
It was a nice change from eating tacos de pastor, beans and rice. However, the burritos are not what i expected. I ordered a shrimo burrito at 55 pesos. Thinking it wouldn't be that big since it's only 55 pesos, i did not expect shrimp cut into little pieces, overcooked, and full of tomatoes... they are as big as a taco and no the burrito did not come with avocado. I was still hungry so I ordered a fish taco, 25 pesos and that was worth ot 100 percent. It was tasty and good portion.

Susan R.

Yelp
Best shrimp tacos I have ever had. Amazing guacamole. Smoked marlin taco outstanding. Friendly, efficient service. This is a no frills establishment that serves fantastic, authentic Mexican food. I'll be back.

Trish W.

Yelp
Delicious reasonably priced tacos tostadas and assorted seafood small plates. The paquetes include an assortment of items with a juice drink, your best bet to try a few things at an unbeatable price. I had two shrimp tacos and a tuna tostada with juice for about $5 before tip. The second time I went back right before closing so took a platillo/meal of garlic shrimp w fries and salad to go. It was vastly inferior to the tacos and tostada. Stick to the tacos!

Maria G.

Yelp
Very good seafood. We got the shrimp tacos, ceviche tostada, and marlin tacos. The drinks are also delicious, got the margarita and some beers.

Ron W.

Yelp
Mike and I loved this upper floor restaurant with pretty views, great service, easy to navigate menu, and delicious tacos. I got three tacos and the freshly grilled shrimp and the raw tuna tacos were completely spectacular, good sized -- something I would dream about some day. The third taco was a smoked marlin that was disappointing on the first couple of bites. It didn't seem to taste like anything I've ever had but maybe that was the point. However after I squeezed some lime juice on it, the taste changed entirely and I was more happy with it. So quick tip for the smoked marlin. Don't eat it without a squeeze from the magic green citrus. The service was efficient and friendly, and I guess we ate on the early side because we were one of three parties upstairs. It rained a little bit but we were sheltered so we were happy. All in all a delightful experience.

Es H.

Yelp
Soooo delicious. Upon the recommendation of our gracious airbnb host Dra Conchita we had some tacos here and let's just say that these might be the best tacos I've had in my life. I had the spicy shrimp and crab tacos and they were super fresh, along with the myriad of sauces and condiments available for you to garnish with. Super juicy and bursting with flavor. It has two floors, you can go to the cute rooftop for a nice view of the city while enjoying some delectable food.

Heather L.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Service was 5 stars! Fresh fish totasdas and tacos were amazing! Definitely coming back

Bill H.

Yelp
Baja Fish Taquito is a fun little stop on the eastern outskirts of the town center. It's a two story joint with a fish bar on the ground floor and a set of stairs leading to some tables upstairs. My wife and I both ordered tostadas with fishy business on top. My wife had an oyster and octopus tostada, I ordered tuna. Both tasted fresh and had a nice complement of salsa and greens. Was a decent but not mind-blowing restaurant. I'd recommend if you're looking for a quick bite and you're in the mood for fish.

Janice B.

Yelp
Great place. Loved the terrace. Guacamole was so good! Shrimp with mango tostada and octopus taco yummy. Staff very nice and perfectly attentive.

Philippa M.

Yelp
Love this quaint taquito place. I had the combo which was 1 tostada, 2 fish tacos and a flavoured water for 65 peso. Such good value. Very generous portions

Erin P.

Yelp
Well appointed roof top with umbrellas and wind blocking glass railings. I had the fried shrimp taco and it was big and delicious. Exactly what I wanted. Efficient, friendly and fast service.

Mikey H.

Yelp
Best meal not only in San Miguel de Allende but in all of Mexico. This is all we wanted. Amazing guacamole. Incredibly flavorful fish tacos and delicious shrimp burritos. Cool setting on roof. We will surely come back to Mexico to eat here!

Kimberly K.

Yelp
GROSS. I'm perplexed by the reviews. I ordered delivery based on it sounding good - ugh. Not the case at all. I ordered a selection of the enchiladas de camarones, tacos marlin and some other taco that was completely unidentifiable. Dry, limp, cold, no sauce, totally gross. I'm so, so disappointed! I spent 215 pesos and had to throw it all out. It wasn't even edible. I'm a local and based on the food I was delivered, I'm sorry to say, I'd never send anyone to eat there. I'd like to have my money back.

Monica R.

Yelp
Terrace is great and food service was quick. We enjoyed the tostadas de pulpo and ceviche. The fish taco was as expected but could have had more fish. I enjoyed the meal and would definitely recommend it.

Ali M.

Yelp
Yum! Shrimp Burrito and Tuna tostada! The views are also beautiful in this lovely little rooftop spot. They do serve margaritas but no mezcal. (Cost is probably around 5-10 times more than street food but they serve drinks so it is just all about the experience you are looking for). Is a great place to go with friends for an sunset meal where you can sit and relax and talk! Pablo was our server and he was super nice and friendly.

Jane O.

Yelp
Amazing fish tacos in a low key place where you can watch the women chefs churn out the food. Price excellent. Service as good as the food. Will definitely be back.
